When Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Kylie started their apps back in 2015, Kendall followed suit.

The model has been updating her app consistently over the past two years, giving paying fans an insight into her personal life, style and humour.

However, 2018 is set to spell the end for the model's much-loved app.

Taking to her website, Kendall announced to her fans:

'As I look ahead to the next year, my goals and priorities are changing.'

'I’ve had an incredible 2+ years connecting with all of you, but I've made the difficult decision to no longer update my app in 2018.'

Getting a taxi home, takeaway in hand, is ingrained in the ritual of a big night out for city slickers and country folk alike.

The buses have ended, there's no designated driver, and you're definitely not walking distance from your digs, so a taxi is often a necessary endeavour for students and professionals alike.

However, what happens if you have lost your purse, have no cash on you, or, worst of all, your phone has died?

This is where the innovative new transport safety app Flag is set to step in.

Flag, the brainchild of Galway-based entrepreneur Richie Cummins, is an app which lets users travel and pay with no phone, bank card or cash, and it's about to launch in Dublin after a successful trial run in Galway.

The app aims to 'Give Dublin the gift of safety this Christmas,' a wish that is backed up by a host of Irish celebrities in their new campaign.

A post shared by Flag – The Taxi App (@flagtaxis) on

The likes of Marty Morrissey, Joe Duffy and Irish rugby star Ultan Dillane have already but their faith in the innovative app.

But how does it work?, we hear you cry.

Essentially, download Flag -The Taxi App from the app store, and sign up. Then, add a picture and emergency four digit pin number. You can then use the app to hail taxis as usual.

However, if you ever find yourself in a situation without funds, you can pay via the app at a later time, or if your phone is dead, you can flag down a taxi and use your name and emergency pin number to pay for the taxi, as the driver will be able to connect the journey to your account using the pin code. Pretty nifty, we think.

'Throughout college I often was left without the means to pay for a taxi, i noticed many my peers had the same problem and it turned out to be quite an issue for most people at some stage,' Richie told SHEmazing

'So I started working on a way to fix it and set up project DASH (Drive All Students Home).'

'This was such a success we evolved, built a large team and developed Flag, the only taxi app of its kind worldwide.'

The team at Flag have been busy signing up drivers in Dublin over the past few weeks, and they are giving away completely free taxi fares to people who support the campaign.

Everyone that tells their next taxi driver to download the app will get a free taxi fare (not too shabby).

The Rape Crisis Centre and An Garda Siochana also supported the project from the early days through their Campus Watch Programme.

‘The taxis that have integrated have really shown they care about passengers, and hopefully all taxis will soon be branded with the safety it brings’ said Sergeant Pat Flanagan, Officer for Crime Prevention.

Animal lovers, listen up!

The ISPCA is bringing a whole new meaning to the phrase 'too cute for words' with the launch of its new Petmoji App.

Available for download on Apple iOS devices, this fun and exciting app allows users to support the charity's tremendous work by sharing a range of adorable Petmojis with their family and friends.

Developed in association with Banshee Apps, the ISPCA say they were delighted when the company's founder approached them with the idea.

Speaking about his desire to work with the charity, Adrian Parkes said: “With smartphones becoming almost universal and emoji’s becoming a second language, it’s very much part of our day-to-day digital conversations.  I admire the work of the ISPCA and I wanted to help out in a fun and creative way.”

ISPCA Ambassador Holly White and Fair City actress Aoibheann McCaul called on all animal lovers to support such a worthy cause.

The ISPCA rely heavily on fundraising to keep their services up and running, with 88 per cent of the charity's funding coming from public donations.

Banshee Apps hope to raise €10,000 for the ISPCA through 10,000 downloads of the Petmoji App.

The basic model will cost €1.99 per app downloaded and the ISPCA will receive €1 from every sale.

The app is now available for iOS users and can be downloaded from the link on the ISPCA online shop

Old Taylor might be dead, but new Taylor is very much alive – and she has the app to prove it.

In her latest attempt at world domination, the 27-year-old singer has announced that she is launching her very own social media app called The Swift Life, which promises to offer fans a host of exclusive content including photos, videos and music, as well as a selection of Taymojis (Taylor-themed emojis to me and you).

The app is described as “a creative, inclusive and community-driven place for users to better connect with each other… and Taylor”.

The Look What You Made Me Do singer revealed the news in a 30-second YouTube clip yesterday, in which she told fans she had “something pretty awesome” she wanted to share.

“I think you guys are really gonna like this. I mean, I hope. It would be preferable if you did.”

Needless to say, fans were pretty excited about the news:

While no official release date has been set, fans have been told they can expect The Swift Life to hit app stores sometime in late 2017.

Let's be real here, furniture shopping is not for the fainthearted.

If you've ever spent time redecorating your home, you'll know the sheer number of things you have to consider before making those all-important purchases.

And aside from cost and quality, it's vital you have an idea how the item will look in your home,

But what if you were born without that all-important eye for interior design? Well, that's where IKEA's newly-launched app comes in.

IKEA Place is the brainchild of the good folk behind the Scandanavian store, and helps consumers visualise how an item will suit a particular room.

After pointing your phone in the area of your home you imagine placing the item, IKEA Place will superimpose your desired product, thereby giving you an idea how it would look if you were to make the purchase.

The app ultimately allows consumers to decorate their home without making the financial splash first.

Ladies, welcome to the future.

We've all been there; you've a big day ahead and yet word is quickly spreading in your favourite WhatsApp group that a session is on the agenda.

After telling yourself you'll take it easy, you head out for drinks certain that you'll manage to tear yourself away from the banter at a reasonable hour while still steady on your pins.

Then the craic really gets going.

And with next to no effort you manage to massively reduce the importance of the following day, and opt instead to launch yourself into the session with all the enthusiasm of Frank the Tank.

This apparent inability to limit alcohol intake has been recognised by VicHealth, which has spent $300,000 on a trial project which seeks to guide university students and ultimately reduce the number of individuals binge-drinking on a  regular basis.

The medical research organisation at the Burnet Institute have created an app which essentially acts as a 'cyber parent' and requires the individual to consider the implications of their drinking habits.

The idea of the app is that it is interactive," said designer and developer Dr Megan Lim. "You register with the app and then [set it] saying which night you might be going out."

"On that particular night, at 6:00pm, you will get a message asking you to take a survey," she continued. "The survey will ask students questions like: "Do you have work tomorrow?", or "What time do you intend on going home?"

After recording the answers to these questions, the app will send helpful suggestions and reminders throughout the evening including "You have spent more than you wanted to tonight" or "Don't forget you have an exam at 8:00am tomorrow."

"Reducing the social acceptability of risky drinking is key to changing young people's behaviour – we want uni students to understand you don't have to get drunk to have a good time," opined Jerril Rechter, VicHealth's CEO,.

The app is not yet available to the public, and while we applaud the initiative we wonder how many people will properly engage with the process.

The countdown is on and we're now only two days away from Longitude 2017.

With acts like Stormzy, The Weeknd, Mac Miller and Mumford & Sons taking centre stage throughout the weekend, you certainly won't want to miss out.

And now, to make things that little bit easier for us, the festival has created an app to help us out during the weekend.

From the line up, to the schedule, and information on security and locations, we don't know how we survived any other festival without a handy app to help us along.

You'll also be the first to find out about any important festival news, traffic updates and much more through the push notifications.

If you fancy downloading the app, it's available on both iPhone and Android, and you can check it out here.

We've all been there.

You've taken ten (or twenty) near identical selfies, and you don't know whether to pick the one where your head is slightly tilted right or the one where your lips are slightly pouted.

The struggle is real.

But, we think we have just found the app of our dreams which chooses a selfie for you.

app, apple, application

EyeEm Selects will totally up your Instagram game by telling you which pictures you shouldn't post, and which ones you should.

The app uses image-recognition technology which takes its lead from professional photographers, meaning not only are your photos judged on composition and quality, but technical story too (which means keeping your captions fresh).

EyeEm Selects will also go through your existing camera roll and select old photos that you should be posting now.

The app is currently only available on Android, but an iOS version is on its way soon.

We're downloading it right now.

We’re children of the digital age so we’re more than happy to admit that our pursuit of certain goals is made exponentially easier if we know we can track our progress with the help of an app.

So, when news landed that Unislim, which was established a staggering 45 years ago, had launched a new mobile app, our health and fitness goals suddenly seemed a lot more attainable.

The organisation, which has recorded a 25 per cent weight loss across all chapters since January, has sought to make our lives a lot easier by creating an app which is completely interactive.

With a live (and private!) weigh-in stream directly from their class, food diary function, follow features and stats to help track your progress, this may just be the answer to our prayers.

Commenting on the digital development, Managing Director of Unislim, Fiona Gratzer, explained the motivation behind it.

“This new addition allows us to move with the times, remain relevant to our loyal members, while attracting a new, younger audience,” she said.

“There has been exponential growth in wearable technology and consumers expect the latest insights, particularly when it comes to their health and wellbeingis why we developed our Club Hub mobile app. “

“With a touch of a button it allows members to share their experience with other members and leaders, creating a more supportive environment than any other slimming club in the country.”

And if news of the app wasn't enough, the slimming club has announced its collaboration with Ruth Field, aka The Grit Doctor and bestselling author of Run Fat Bitch Run.

As part of their Let's Get Moving campaign, Ruth and those behind Unislim will transform how people exercise, with practical everyday tips on how we can make tiny adjustments to our routines that can have a hugely positive impact on our health and wellbeing.

The plan bears all the hallmarks of Ruth’s witty, no-nonsense, tough-talking approach, and as well as exercise, covers mindful health tips to boost overall happiness.

And all of a sudden our goals seem so much closer…

Oh Instagram, the ultimate photo sharing app where putting your best photo forward is the aim of the game.

Bloggers and celebs have some of the most uniform, beautifully presented feeds going, much to the delight of their fans.

Everyone wants an aesthetically amazing Instagram feed, and there is one app in particular that gets a lot of credit for helping the influencers of the world achieve their perfect photo sets.

VSCOCAM is the reigning champion when it comes to gorgeous Instagram feeds, and bloggers the length and breath of the globe have been utilising its extensive range of filters since it landed in the app store.

The app allows you to look at the photos you want to upload, giving you an idea of where you want them to be placed on your feed, and plays host to a hell of a lot more filters than the actual Instagram editing suite.

Like Instagram, the level of saturation of each filter can be adjusted according to your personal preferences, and they're all pretty different to the ones available on the social media sharing app.

F2 and G3 are particular favourites of fashion bloggers for making outfits and flat lays pop.

The app also has all the basic editing options, like contrast, saturation, brightness, shadows and many more.

Irish blogging veteran Anouska Proetta Brandon definitely knows how to take a great photo, and had previously credited VSCO cam to helping her achieve the perfect feed.

"Consistency is key with your Instagram," said Anouska, speaking at the Irish Blogger Conference in January.

"Don't post random photos. Be consistent and think about aesthetics," she said, citing a well-planned photo layout as the best way to increase your follower count.

While we love the freedom of adding photos whenever we please using Instagram's built in editing suite, VSCO has some pretty lit filters.

We may have to start using it if we want a blogger-worthy Insta feed.

In this day and age, it's not surprising that there's an app for friendships.

At first glance, it seems a bit ridiculous. There are countless ways to makes friends, right? But then again, aren't there countless ways to meet a potential partner?

When I was a kid, my four next door neighbours/best friends moved away, and while I was crying at their doorstep, my mam told me that "everything changes."

While it seemed like a pretty obvious thing to say to me at the time, I never realised how much it would stand to me as I grew older.

Friends that I thought would be in my life forever have long gone. And friends that are still in my life are constantly busy… and that's OK.

We have jobs. We're in college. We fell in love. We moved abroad… We moved on.

But, it's when you want to go for a cocktails or a walk along the seafront, and get replies along the lines of 'I have no money!' or 'I need to study' or [insert quickly made-up excuse here], you realise not as many people are there for you as there used to be.

In Ireland, statistics from Eurofound’s Quality of Life survey saw that 35 per cent of people feel lonely in this country. So, in theory, it's kind of genius to make an app that appeals to those people.

Hey! Vina is a Tinder-esque service for finding friends which a writer for Stylist tried out. When she met up with a potential BFF, by the end of the night, the same thing ran through her head; Everyone moves on.

"She clutches a suitcase for the full duration of the evening, which seems an ominous reminder of what drove me here in the first place: the aforementioned transience of modern life."

Even though this app, which has recently been rolled out worldwide, might be grand for a random coffee; friendships need time to bloom, and meeting with strangers just doesn't do it for me.

You need a bond. You need to understand them. You need to be there for the other person through everything.

Can an app do that?
