Forget the iPhone 6s and the iPad Pro, there's another new development in tech-land that has us super excited.

Apple's iOS 9.1 update launches sometime later this year, and it will include a heap of new emojis.

Here's what seems to be the full collection, though no doubt there are a few that escaped the notice of the eager developers who got to try out iOS 9.1 in beta today.

Glam types will be pleased to know that champagne and cheese now feature, while animal-lovers will enjoy the lion, crab and squirrel additions.

And like any emoji keyboard, it also includes a tonne of totally random bits and bobs, like unicorns, squash rackets and microscopes.

Pretty much every category has had a few new symbols added, so there will be a lot to keep you entertained once the new update drops.

The new update is expected to launch shortly after the iPhone 6s is relelased, so we can hopefuly be firing burrito emojis back and forth by the end of the year.

Win.

In a move that brings together the worlds of luxury fashion and technology, Apple announced yesterday that they are teaming up with fashion label Hermés to create a collection of Apple watches.

While many may anticipate the fashion giant merely lent it's expertise to creating a new series of straps, Apple Watch Hermés is a very collaborative line.

Each watch comes engraved with the Hermés signature, the typeface can be customised to Hermés's famous orange and three exclusive dials reference classic Hermés watch face designs.

You can also choose between three different strap designs – the single tour, the double tour and the cuff – which are all handcrafted in Paris with the label's famous leather.

"Apple and Hermès make very different products, but they reflect the deep appreciation of quality design," said Apple's chief design officer Jonathan Ive.

"Both companies are motivated by a sincere pursuit of excellence and the desire to create something that is not compromised. Apple Watch Hermès is a true testament to that belief."

The product will be available just before December at selected Apple and selected Hermés retail stores.

The folks at Apple might be technology geniuses, but they know it's the simplest things that will cause the biggest buzz.

Like adding a new colour to their iPhone range, for example. The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus launched today, and they both come in a pretty rose gold shade as well as the original gold, grey and white.

There are had been some speculation that the new release would come in baby pink, but it seems that was just a trick of the light in early leaked photos… it's definitely rose gold.

One of the most notable new features on the iPhone 6s is the 3D Touch update, which means the phone has a screen that's sensitive to different levels of pressure rather than just to touch.

So tapping on an app will do one thing, but pressing down on it will do another.

For example, holding down on the Instagram app button will bring up a pop up menu of suggested options, like 'New Post,' 'Search,' or 'Notifications'.

And for seasoned selfie-lovers, pressing down on the camera app can bring you right to the front-facing camera. Handy.

As well as the 3D Touch options, your selfie game will get a BIG boost with the new and improved cameras, which are now 12-megapixel for the standard camera and 4-megapixel for the front-facing camera.

Another feature we LOVE the sound of is 'live photos,' which allow you to take a 'moving photo' by automatically capturing 1.5 seconds of video on either side of the photo.

It can be uploaded and stored like any regular photo, rather than being saved as a video or a GIF.

Of course, all of these additions mean your phone will be using a LOT more memory, but Apple promise that their new A9 processor will make the phone run faster too.

Prepare to see a lot of Instagram flat-lays featuring rose gold iPhones very soon…

In the last hour, the iPad Pro has been launched at a top-secret press event in San Francisco.

The unveiling follows months of speculation and rumour about the product.

A larger version of the traditional model, Apple CEO Tim Cook described it as the "biggest news in iPad since the iPad".

Using a 32.5cm (the width is same as the height of the iPad Air 2) display, it also makes use of the new split screen app features of iOS 9.

"It can do things that a smartphone doesn’t do because it doesn’t have to sit in your pocket," added Apple's Phil Schiller.

"For the first time in an Apple display, it has a variable refresh rate," he also said – meaning the display can be slowed down to save battery.

Inside, it's using Apple's new A9X processor, which the tech company claims is 1.8 times faster than the previous chip it replaces.

"Our chip team is just on fire," said Mr Schiller.

Graphics on the iPad Pro have also doubled in terms of performance – good news for those who like games and productivity apps.

It will allegedly boast 10 hours of battery-life and has a four-speaker audio system.

The iPad Pro is 6.9mm thin and weighs just 700g.

Interestingly, Apple is furthermore introducing a Smart Keyboard for the iPad Pro. "This is unlike any keyboard you've ever used before," explained Mr Schiller.

Well, excuse me!

Do you want to hear Siri told freak out on you?

Ask her what 0 divided by 0 is and prepare to get totally roasted for 15 seconds. Even Jesse Pinkman can't believe his ears.

And just in case you don’t have Siri, here is what she says:

“Imagine that you have zero cookies and you split them evenly among zero friends. How many cookies does each person get? See? It doesn’t make sense. And Cookie Monster is sad that there are no cookies, and you are sad that you have no friends.”

They were clearly eager to keep their relationship under wraps in the early days, but increasingly Taylor Swift, 25, and Calvin Harris, 31, have been happy to acknowledge and celebrate their union publicly.

Tay-Tay has already posted images of the duo to her Instagram account… and now Calvin is also sharing the love.

Taking to Twitter, he praised his girlfriend's decision to take on music giants Apple – and also made reference to his recent gig in Las Vegas.

Yesterday, Ms Swift wrote an open letter to the company highlighting that she found it find "shocking," and "disappointing," that it doesn't pay "writers, producers, or artists" during the three-month trial period it is currently offering new customers.

She concluded her letter with: "We don't ask you for free iPhones. Please don't ask us to provide you with our music for no compensation."

And Apple responded quickly. Indeed, today it announced via executive Eddy Cue that it "will pay artist for streaming, even during customer’s free trial period".

Congratulations, Ms Swift!

In another sign that their love is the real deal, Calvin has also been looking after his girlfriend's cat while she tours in Europe.

He took to Instagram over the weekend to share a video clip of Dr Meredith Grey (she is also the owner of Detective Olivia Benson) drinking water from a tap.

Just one day after Taylor Swift wrote an open letter to Apple voicing her unhappiness with their new streaming service’s free three-month trial, the company have reversed their payment policy.

You go girl!

The Bad Blood singer’s letter explained how she did not have an issue with Apple customer’s being able to take advantage of the free trial, but she was angered that the company would not be paying artists or producers for their music during this time.

The 25-year-old popstar said that she found “it to be shocking, disappointing, and completely unlike the historically progressive and generous company,” that they were not intending to pay royalties to the artists during the free three-month period.

“Three months is a long time to go unpaid, and it is unfair to ask anyone to work for nothing… We don’t ask you for free iPhones. Please don’t ask us to provide you with our music for no compensation.” Hear, hear Swifty!

Apple exec Eddy Cue, tweeted this morning saying “We hear you @taylorswift13 and indie artists. Love, Apple”.

Singer-songwriter Taylor Swift has spoken out and condemned Apple’s new music streaming service.

The Shake it Off singer is widely recognised as not supporting streaming services, given that she pulled her music from Spotify in 2014.

The 25-year-old star has taken to Tumblr to voice her anger at Apple, who are now providing a three-month free subscription service to their customers.

Ms Swift’s dissatisfaction with the company comes, not because they are offering a free subscription, but because they do not intend to pay royalties to the artists during that three-month period.

Taylor explained her concerns saying, “This is not about me. Thankfully I am on my fifth album and can support myself, my band, crew, and entire management team by playing live shows.”

“This is about the new artist or band that has just released their first single and will not be paid for its success,” she continued. “This is about the young songwriter who just got his or her first cut and thought that the royalties from that would get them out of debt.”

Tay-Tay acknowledges that Apple is a company that she generally admires and enjoys working with but, states that she just cannot get behind their decision, and believes it is not “too late” for the tech-giants to reconsider.

“We don’t ask you for free iPhones. Please don’t ask us to provide you with our music for no compensation.”

Well said, Taylor!

In a bid to develop their software for women, Apple are improving ways to track your reproductive health with IOS 9.

The new IOS 9 update was announced by Tim Cook at the worldwide developers Conference on Monday, and there is a completely new feature available to users.

Apple's iPhone will now let people track exactly how often, when and how they have sex, so not only will you be able to track your work outs in the gym, but in the bedroom too!

Apple's iOS 9 update will add a new feature to the Health App under "Health Data."

The new feature titled "Reproductive Data" will track exactly how often, when and how the user has sex.

Users will also be able to enter information on whether protection was used, dates and times.

Once the information is entered the Health App will plot it on a chart or in a numerical read-out like it does will all other data such as calories or steps taken.

Apple keeps that data private by default, but you can choose to send it to your doctor or anonymously provide your information to universities and physicians for research studies.

The iOS 9 update will be available for all users this autumn but until then, here are some extremely useful apps for tracking your reproductive cycle on your smartphone.

Louis Tomlinson lost his cool on Twitter last night after a report in The Independent stated he was showing solidarity to Apple’s Tim Cook who recently came out as a gay man.

The speculations came about after the One Direction star was spotted wearing a t-shirt with the older copy of the Apple logo, which is striped multicoloured.

However, Louis has now blasted these reports, saying he is straight and fuming: “Fu**ing ridiculous I even have to tweet that sh**!”

The One Direction star laid into The Independent reporter, Jenn Selby on Twitter, writing: “@JennSelby The fact that you work for such a ‘credible’ paper and you would talk such rubbish is laughable. I am in fact straight … Google ‘original apple logo’ and you will see the one printed on my shirt that you reported on. Trying to look for a promotion?”

However, the reporter did not lie low for long and explained to Louis the message behind the article.

She also condemned Directioners for sending her death threats (as per usual):

“Hi @Louis_Tomlinson thank you for your tweet. I’m sorry you found out article in any way insulting …

At no point did we insinuate anything about your sexuality or mention your relationship, and nor would we …

We were merely speculating as to whether you’d shown your support to a brave man facing some persecution …

For his decision to come out in public recently. I’d like to remind my readers …

That being called ‘gay’ should never be insulting & that standing up for #LGBT rights is an admirable thing to do …

I’d also like to remind Directioners that calling a woman a ‘bit**’ is never OK – and neither are death threats …

And to thank those Rainbow Directioners who have tweeted it for their support. It is much appreciated.”

Louis has not yet addressed the comments on Twitter.

Starting in January, Apple will pay for female employees to freeze their eggs in order to allow them to have children at a later stage.

Though the process will cost up to $20,000 for the company, they spoke of the importance of such a project: “We continue to expand our benefits for women, with a new extended maternity leave policy, along with cryopreservation and egg storage as part of our extensive support for infertility treatments … We also offer an Adoption Assistance program, where Apple reimburse expenses associated with the legal adoption of a child. We want to empower women at Apple to for the best work of their lives as they care for loved ones and raise their families" a spokesperson for Apple said.

Typically, freezing eggs can be a very expensive endeavour, often costing up to $12,000 with an extra $1,000 per year of storage. Drug fees and the recommended amount of eggs to be frozen can often run this figure even higher making this no small move by either company.

It has also been reported that Facebook have been offering the service to their female employees since last January.

It is thought these moves by the Silicon Valley giants will increase the number of women in CEO positions and make the talent pool that bit more competitive.

If you thought you were having a bad morning, spare a thought for poor butter-fingers Jack.

Jack was the very first person to buy the iPhone 6 in Perth in Australia but as he opens it for the camera, it falls to the pavement.

Luckily the phone survived, unluckily for Jack he's going viral.
