Ariana Grande and Mac Miller have ended their relationship after almost two-and-a-half years together. 

According to E! News, the Ariana, 24, and Mac Miller, 26, split because of their busy work schedules, however they are said to have remained close friends. 

The news comes just two weeks after the pair were spotted looking more loved up than ever at Coachella, though fans did begin to speculate about the singer's relationship status after she attended the 2018 Met Gala solo.

The pair, who have been dating since 2016, met three years before when they recorded The Way together. 

Speaking about their relationship Ariana said: "We have loved and adored and respected each other since the beginning, since before we even met, just because we were fans of each other's talent."

The stars have worked together multiple times since then and even shared the stage at the One Love Manchester concert last July. 

Ariana will be kept busy over the next few months as she prepares to release her new album Sweetener. 

Mac shared support for the new project on Twitter last month, saying: "Very proud of this girl right here. Welcome back. We missed you. One of a kind."

It has been almost a year since Ariana Grande’s concert 2017 in Manchester was targeted by a suicide bomber in an act of terror.

Dubbed “the most deadly attack in a decade” 22 people were killed in the blast, and another 250 were taken to hospital with injuries.

It shocked the world and deeply affected Grande, who cancelled her remaining tour dates out of respect for the victims and so she could grieve and process what happened. Following the attack at her concert, Grande admitted that she had been left “broken”.

Grande’s manager, Scooter Braun, said after the attack, the singer had “cried for days” over the loss of life in Manchester.

“She felt everything – every face they announced, every name, she wore on her sleeve,” he said, according to the BBC. “Every bit of emotion because that’s who she is.”

It might have been fitting, perhaps for her first song since the tragic event, to release a ballad, but the star has channelled her resilient and powerfully optimistic One Love benefit concert (held just two weeks after the atrocity) with her uplifting new single, No Tears Left To Cry.

It alludes to the tragedy in a vibrant way, while sending out a strong message – that even in the face of such a dark time, it's okay to feel positive vibes.

“Right now I’m in a state of mind, I wanna be in like all the time. Ain’t got no tears left to cry, so I’m pickin’ it up, I’m pickin’ up. I’m lovin’, I’m livin’, I’m pickin’ it up," she sings in the track's chorus. 

“We’re way too fly to partake in all this hate,” she sings, encouraging others to overcome any fear and hatred “even when it’s raining down.”

At the end of the Dave Meyers-directed video, a bee can be seen flying off screen – an allusion to the worker bee symbol of Manchester.

The response to the track has been overwhelmingly positive. Grande's half-brother Frankie James was one of the first to praise the track on Twitter.

“Ariana u make me so incredibly proud every single day and today is no exception. I’m so proud of the way u have brought people from all over the world together tonight with #notearslefttocry," he wrote.

Last night, Ariana Grande‘s Instagram account was hacked by a currently unknown perpetrator.

Her account was then spammed with images and content of a racist nature. 

A number of posts included racist language, with one reading: 'f***** ass n****.'

Another read ‘GANG B**** F*** WIT US GET SHMOKEEDDD.’ 

Nicki Minaj replied to this particular post with a curious emoji, to which the hackers replied: ‘f*** u talking bout u next’.

The hackers insinuated that Nicki would be next in line to get hacked by the perpetrators.

The posts also included images of other Instagram accounts, with requests that Ariana's 111 million followers go and follow the linked accounts.

Ariana’s account has since been restored to its former glory, and the hacker's images have been removed.

Ariana responded to the debacle with a GIF on her Instagram page, showing that she isn't taking the hack too seriously.

Ariana Grande has officially become the first honorary citizen of Manchester.

The honour was bestowed on the 23-year-old following the One Lover Manchester concert which raised funds for the victims of the May 22 terror attack.

At an emotional meeting today, councillors voted unanimously to award the distinction in an effort to recognise the singer's involvment in the star-studded fundraiser which raised over £3 million for the victims and their families.

Suicide bomber Salman Abedi killed 22 people, including seven children, when he detonated a device as people began leaving Ariana's show at the Manchester Arena earlier this year.

Just two weeks later, Ariana returned to the city for the One Love Manchester benefit concert which saw the likes of Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Coldplay, and Manchester's own Liam Gallagher, take to the stage in tribute to the victims.

As well as that, Ariana and her mother, Joan, visited a some of the victims in hospitals around Manchester.

Manchester City Council leader, Sir Richard Leese, said Ariana had “exemplified” the “resilient and compassionate way in which the city, and all those associated with it, have responded to the terrible events of 22 May – with love and courage rather than hatred and fear”

"As well as honouring the victims and all those affected, it is important that we remember the extraordinary acts of courage and generosity of spirit which we have witnessed.

"The worst of times have in many ways brought out the best in the city."

Councillor Sue Murphy, who seconded the motion, also revealed plans for a permanent memorial dedicated the victims in the city.

Honorary citizenship is the highest honour a city can give apart from the freedom of the city, which has only been awarded four times since 2000.

Ariana Grande has penned a heartfelt letter to fans, thanking them for their support during these difficult few weeks.

Last month, the singers concert was targeted by a suicide bomber who claimed the lives of 22 people at the Manchester Arena

Just two weeks later, Ariana returned to the city to stage the One Love Manchester benefit concert which raised over €2,000,000 for the victims and their families.

The inspirational singer has now resumed her Dangerous Woman tour and as she finished off the European leg, Ariana thanked her fans for sticking by her when she need them the most.

The 23-year-old took to Instagram to share a video of herself on stage, and wrote:

"At the close of this European leg of my Dangerous Woman tour, I just wanted to thank you properly for the overwhelming love and support you’ve shown me, my crew, and each other during this challenging time.Spending this time with you this month has been so very healing and special! Thank you for being here. Fans were quick to reply with messages of love and support for the singer.

Ariana will now take her tour to Latin America before finishing off in Hong Kong this September.

Ariana Grande is set to become an honorary citizen of Manchester.

The move will be made under plans put forward by the city council to honour the US singer.

The decision comes under a new system which recognises outstanding contributions to the city.

22 people were killed and many more injured after a suicide bomber detonated a home-made explosive in the foyer of Ariana's concert in the Manchester Arena last month. 

Ariana responded by organising another concert, a charity gig called One Love Manchester, to raise funds for the victims and their families.

'This seems a fitting moment to update the way we recognise those who make noteworthy contributions to the life and success of our city,' said Manchester Council leader Sir Richard Leese.

'We've all had cause to be incredibly proud of Manchester and the resilient and compassionate way in which the city, and all those associated with it, have responded to the terrible events of 22 May – with love and courage rather than hatred and fear.'

Sir Richard Leese told The BBC that the star had 'exemplified this response.'

Ariana Grande has lifted the suspension of the remainder of her European dates for her Dangerous Woman tour. 

The star suspended her tour after 22 people were killed and a further 59 injured in a suicide bombing at her concert in the Manchester Arena two weeks ago.

Posting a snap of the Eiffel Tower to her Instagram, the star shared the news that her tour was back on the road. 

'First show back tonight,' she captioned the post.

Following the success of Sunday night's One Love Manchester concert, Ariana Grande is set to release her cover of Somewhere Over the Rainbow as a charity single.

The 23-year-old singer closed the benefit gig with a spine-tingling version of the Judy Garland classic.

The decision comes after a fan campaign called for the song to be released in an effort to raise money for for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.

Since Saturday, proceeds from the sales of Ariana's song, One Last Time, have been donated to the same fund. It currently sits at number two in the UK charts but is expected to reach number one later this week. 

According to The Sun, a source has revealed that “Ariana’s team are working out behind the scenes what is necessary for the song [Somewhere Over the Rainbow] to be released.”

“But everyone’s confident there won’t be anything stopping it getting out there and continuing to help those affected by the tragedy.”

With performances from Liam Gallagher, Coldplay, Justin Bieber anf Katy Perry (just to name a few), One Love Manchester proved to be a massive success and has so far raised £10 million for victims of the Manchester attack.

Meanwhile, it was revealed that Ariana and her crew got worker bee tattoos as a tribute to the city.

Piers Morgan has apologised to Ariana Grande after condemning her for not visiting the victims of the Manchester terror attack last week.

The outspoken television presenter took to Twitter during the One Love Manchester concert, to admit that he had 'misjudged' the singer.

Following the news that the Queen had visited the Manchester Children's hospital in the days following the attack, Piers tweeted, "If the Queen can visit the victims in hospital, so can the star they paid to see." He added, "I expected her to stay, visit & comfort her wounded fans & relatives of those who died".

The comments received huge backlash online, but he refused to apologise even after Ariana announced she would visit the victims in hospitals around Manchester.

Speaking during Sunday night's One Love Manchester concert, Ariana revealed how she was inspired to change the set list for the benefit gig after the mother of Olivia Campbell-Hardy, one of the victims said her daughter 'would have wanted to hear the hits'.

"I had the pleasure of meeting Olivia's mummy a few days ago and I started to cry and gave her a big hug and she said 'stop crying, because Olivia wouldn't have wanted you to cry'.

"And then she told me Olivia would have wanted to hear the hits. We had a different show planned and we had a rehearsal yesterday and we changed everything."

As well as organising the benefit concert, the 23-year-old singer has offered to to pay for the funerals of the victims and her record label donated $500,000 to the We Love Manchester Fund.

Last night, Ariana Grande returned to Manchester for the One Love Manchester – a concert organised by the singer to remember the victims of the terror attack that claimed 22 lives following her performance on May 22.

Ariana called on some of the best in the business to join her on stage, including, Take That, Robbie Williams, Miley Cyrus, Niall Horan, Katy Perry, Pharrell Williams, Coldplay and Black Eyed Peas.

There was even a surprise performance from Oasis front man, Liam Gallagher who emotionally charged rendition of Live Forever, left the crowds at Old Trafford, and indeed everyone watching at home lost for words.

Here's how the night went down from start to finish.

Marcus Mumford opened the show with a solo performance of Mumford and Son's Timshel. 

It was then time for Take That to take to the stage. The trio entertained the crowds with hits Shine, We are Giants and Rule the World, before welcoming their former band mate, Robbie Williams to the stage. Unfortunately the guys didn't perform together, but they did take a moment to stand united before Robbie continued with his set.  

Pharrell Williams invited Miley Cyrus on stage for an uplifting performance of Happy. 

Niall Horan then serenaded the 50,000 strong crowd with songs Slow Hands and This Town, before Ariana made her first appearance of the night.

The singer received hug cheers upon her arrival on stage, and had then entire stadium singing Break Free with her.

Ariana then welcomed Black Eyed Peas to the stage, where she joined them for a heart-felt rendition of Where is the Love?.

Up next, Little Mix, who gave a powerful performance of Wings, complete with killer harmonies. 

A little later in the night, a visibly emotional Katy Perry performed a stripped-back version of her hit Part of Me, before Roar got the whole crowd dancing. 

Justin Bieber ditched the bells and whistles, taking to the stage with just an acoustic guitar in hand for a toned-down performance of Love Yourself and Cold Water. 

Before serenading the crowds with Fix You, Viva la Vida and Something Just Like This, Coldplay decided it was time to give a something back to Ariana, and so led the crowd in an emotional version of Oasis' Don't Look Back in Anger. 

The biggest surprise of the night came when Liam Gallagher took to the stage at Old Trafford to rock the crowd with classic Oasis hits. The singer had previously said he who not be able to attend the concert, but in true Gallagher style he shocked with performances of Rock n Roll Star and Live Forever. 

The night came to an end when Ariana invited all the guest performers back to the stage for a group performance of One Last Time before finishing off with Somewhere Over the Rainbow.

The concert raised over €2 million for the the victims of the Manchester terror attack.

Ariana Grande has visited the victims who were injured the Manchester attack, which claimed the lives of 22 people and injured 60 more. 

The star spent time with her fans at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital last night.

Ariana made the visit as a surprise for the victims ahead of a benefit concert organised by the singer on Sunday.

Victims also shared their snaps of the visit across social media, and were delighted to meet their idol in person.

Ariana will be performing in the city this Sunday, in the One Love Manchester benefit concert. 

The three-hour long concert will be held at Manchester's Old Trafford cricket ground, almost two weeks after the attack at the Manchester Arena took place.

Just one week after the horrific attack at Ariana Grande's concert in Manchester, the singer's mum, Joan, has posted an emotional tribute to the victims.

Taking to Twitter, Joan shared a statement to show her solidarity with the victims of the bombing, which claimed the lives of 22 people and injured 60 more. 

Joan often accompanies her daughter on tour and was at the concert at the time of the attack in Manchester. 

Joan reportedly sprung to action during the attack, escorting a group of children backstage at the concert to keep them safe after the bomb was detonated. 

'This past week I have spent in reflective thought, prayer and deep sorrow,' she wrote.

'I join my daughter in extending my help and services to all those affected by the diabolical act of terror which occurred in Manchester.'
