‘The Wines of Westeros’ is a real thing!
Suffering from Game of Thrones withdrawals? Fear not, as you can at least have a taste of the hit show, thanks to the “The Wines of Westeros”.
Yes, you read that right. An Australian advertising agency called Common Ventures has come up with 12 varieties of wine representing the 12 houses from the hit show.
Joan Burhop of Common Ventures said that the wines are meant to be consumed not collected, and could help with the show’s brutal habit of killing off characters.
“Whether this becomes a coveted item for the fans or a bottle that is opened with every episode, this wine is made to be drunk with friends and to help soften the blow of the shock and heartache as our favourite characters are slowly killed off,”
Burhop said that each of the wines offer a distinctive taste, supposedly representing the fictional houses from the famous show.
“The reds are all associated with the houses that are head strong and robust. The whites on the other hand are more cunning, perceptive and mysterious.”
Sounds intriguing, and you can even pre-order bottles of wine in conjunction with the premiere of season 5 next year. Well we’re sure Cersei Lannister would approve!
