Kat explained that she will be distancing herself from social media as she adjusts to this new chapter of her life.

“Thank you for all our beloved friends and family, fans and followers for your patience in us announcing his long awaited arrival.

“To be honest, my husband and I want to take the next 40 days [the 4th trimester] to focus on the baby and our amazing relationship transitioning into parenthood,” the new mum explained.

Kat added: “So, please excuse us if we’re not on here as much for a little while. Just know we love you all and thank you for all the words of love and support,” she addressed her followers who have been showering the new mum with congratulatory messages since news broke of baby Leafer’s arrival.

The 36-year-old’s husband also spoke about their son’s arrival in quite the moving Instagram post. Prayers shared numerous photos of him and his little boy.

2018 has been quite the special year for the new parents. They tied the knot at the beginning of the year in February and are now seeing out the year with the cutest new addition to their family.

We’re thrilled for them.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to welcome their first child into the world in the spring of 2019 and it looks like the parents-to-be have already started thinking about baby names.

Prince Charles accidentally shared two potential names that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have on their list.

The royal family tend to opt for traditional family names, like Arthur, Elizabeth, George and Albert but it looks like the lovebirds may be straying away from tradition.

There isn’t as much pressure on Harry and Meghan to choose a classic royal family name as the chances of their children becoming King or Queen are slim.

Prince Charles confirmed this by revealing that Kylie and Shane have the potential to make the couple’s name shortlist.

He gushed about his grandchild during a reception celebrating Australia House: “Incidentally ladies and gentlemen my son Harry tells me that during their recent tour of Australia, he and his wife were offered countless thoughtful suggestions for the naming of their forthcoming baby.

"Just between us, I suspect that Kylie and Shane may possibly make the shortlist, but ladies and gentlemen I would not hold your breath for Edna or Les,” the grandfather joked.

Meghan and Harry have been extremely quiet about names they’re considering but the dad-to-be did mention one name he’d love for their daughter.

During their royal tour in Australia Harry said he adored the name Harriet; probably because of how similar it is to his own.

Fans of the Duke and Duchess are hoping they’re going to honour Harry’s late-mum by naming their firstborn Diana if they have a daughter.

We’ll just have to wait and see when the springtime rolls around.

Mere hours have passed since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they were expecting their first child together, and the bookies already have a list of the top names for their baby.

The couple has yet to confirm whether they are expecting a boy or girl, and more than likely won’t because it doesn’t follow royal tradition, but that hasn’t stopped the betting houses from conjuring up a list of potential names for the parents-to-be.

Harry and Meghan will be welcoming their bundle of joy into the world in the Spring of 2019, but the couple won’t have to be as strict when it comes to their newborn’s title.

Alexander, Arthur and Philip are amongst the top names for a baby boy, which come as no surprise. The royals tend to pick from a list of traditional, family names.

Other potential options include Nicholas at 10/1, Alfred at 6/1, James at 50/1 and Thomas, after Meghan’s dad.

If the Duke and Duchess welcome a baby girl in the new year the odds of naming her Alice and Victoria are exceptionally high.

Obviously, many people hope Harry will honour his late-mum Princes Diana by naming their daughter after her. Isabella is currently at 6/1, followed by 12/1 Eleanor and Rachel at 25/1.

Who knows what name Harry and Meghan will choose for their first child, but there’s no doubt it’ll be traditional.

We do hope they honour Diana in some way. There’s no doubt his mum would be overjoyed to hear her son’s incredible news on this special day.

Kylie Jenner has certainly been loving every moment of motherhood since welcoming baby Stormi in the February of this year.

“I want another baby, but when is the question, and I’m definitely not ready right this second,” Kylie admitted.

She even went as far as vowing to share more of her pregnancy journey with fans the second time around. Kylie said she would love for her followers to know more about her experience: “When I do, I would love to share more of that with you guys.”

She may not be ready for baby number two just yet but that hasn’t stopped the 21-year-old from thinking about baby names.

There are millions and millions of options out there so picking a baby name is never an easy choice.

We’re sure Kylie’s sister Kim will agree, especially after she seriously struggled to name her youngest child.

When the time is right, Kylie hopes to have another daughter: “I haven’t found anything I love love, but I definitely want another girl, hopefully.”

Kylie stressed that there is one baby name trend in particular that she is crazy about: “I want her to have a feminine name.”

Olivia, Sophie, Isabella and Charlotte are amongst some of the most popular names for baby girls at the moment, so who knows, Kylie may opt for one of those traditional options in the future.

Naming a baby is incredibly tough, something this mum-of-two knows about all too well.

In fact, Sophie Cachia’s daughter has been given three names since her birth… and Sophia is still not happy with her decision.

The Young Mummy blogger recently took to Instagram to share her baby naming woes, describing her experience as “one gigantic clusterf*ck of f*ckups.”

A post shared by Sophie Cachia (@sophiecachia_) on

Talking about her love of Audrey Hepburn, Sophie explains how growing up she was convinced she was going to name her future daughter after her idol.

“I even begged Jaryd (husband) in labour with Bobby to change our Valentina/Florence to Audrey at the last minute if a girl came out,” she wrote.

“Funnily enough, I had a girl and Audrey was never in the equation this time.”

But Betty was.

FACT: my entire life I loved Audrey. I had artwork & posters of her on my walls at home. I was ALWAYS convinced I was going to call my future daughter Audrey. I even begged Jaryd in labour with Bobby to change our Valentina/Florence to Audrey at the last minute if a girl came out. Funnily enough, I had a girl and Audrey was never in the equation this time. Betty was, then that was wrong. Missy lasted 48 hours, and then she ended Florence Margaret but Margaret was only supposed to be the middle name if she was called Betty, and Florence was always supposed to be Florence Gigi after Jaryd's sister. But I totally fucked the whole thing up and now my experience with naming a girl is one gigantic clusterfuck of fuckups. So now LEGALLY she's Florence Margaret but we call her Florence Gigi (ESPECIALLY now since she's her Aunty Gigi's mini-twin!!!) So yeah… basically I suck at naming girls.

However, this name didn’t last very long, and soon Betty became Missy… but just for 48 hours.

“Betty was, then that was wrong. Missy lasted 48 hours, and then she ended Florence Margaret but Margaret was only supposed to be the middle name if she was called Betty, and Florence was always supposed to be Florence Gigi after Jaryd's sister.”

Confused? Us too.

Continuing, the mum wrote: “But I totally f*cked the whole thing up and now my experience with naming a girl is one gigantic clusterf*ck of f*ckups.

“So now LEGALLY she's Florence Margaret but we call her Florence Gigi (ESPECIALLY now since she's her Aunty Gigi's mini-twin!!!) So yeah… basically I suck at naming girls.”

OK, all we're hoping is that we can make our minds up when the time comes!

We still haven't gotten a peek at Beyonce and Jay-Z's new arrivals, but recently filed legal documents might just have revealed the babies names.

A trademark document filed this week points to the twins being named Rumi and Sir Carter.

A post shared by Beyoncé (@beyonce) on

The names are pretty unusual, but in celeb-land unique names are essential.

This also suggests that the pair have had one boy twin, named Sir, and one girl twin, named Rumi.

According to TMZ, the trademarks are for 'fragrances, cosmetics, key chains, baby teething rings, strollers, mugs, water bottles, hair ribbons, playing cards, tote bags, sports balls, rattles and novelty items.'

A post shared by Beyoncé (@beyonce) on

It would make sense in this case, as Beyonce has previously trademarked Blue Ivy's name.

Five months ago, Beyonce put in a request to the United States Patent and Trademark Office to copyright the term Blue Ivy Carter for future business endeavours.

We're not sure why Marnie shared her opinion on this, but the Geordie Shore star has revealed she's not a fan of Stephanie Davis' son's name.

Steph chose to name her child Caben-Albi George Davis, but Marnie thinks it's all too much.

Writing in her Star mag column, she said: "I'm not a huge fan of Stephanie Davis' choice of baby name, Caben-Albi.

“There’s so much going on and it’s not my cup of tea. She should have chosen just Caben or Albi for the first name, not both together.”

The former Big Brother star hasn't hit back at Marnie, but did share a quote on social media that read: "In a world where you can be anything, be kind."

We're all pretty used to wacky celebrity baby names at this stage.

From Saint and North, to Blue Ivy and the OG Apple Martin, Hollywood's parents are more likely now to give their tot an… unusual moniker.

However, these parents went way beyond any celebrity when it came to naming their daughter.

We can't even believe this, but a mother and father have name their baby KVIIIlyn.

No joke.

For those of you who forget your roman numerals (my hand is up), the name is more like a puzzle – it's K + the roman numeral for 8 + lyn. Get it? It's Kaitlyn.

The story comes from Reddit (as most great stories do) and was posted a few months ago but only started to gain traction on social media this week.

In the post, a Reddit user explains his dismay when he found an article in a magazine about the unique name and believed it was a step too far.

God love that child when it comes to school and the other kids try to spell her name.

Girls being girls, it's safe to say many of us have a few ideas for baby names that we might use in the future.

But when you're a worldwide star and you reveal you have a list of monkiers… it's disaster waiting to happen.

So when Kylie Jenner shared a video on her app of her telling her friend, Jordyn Woods, that she has a file of names on her phone, it's bound to get people talking.

"I keep a list in my phone of names I like for my future kids… but they're my secrets for now!" she said.

Kyls has previously admitted that she wants to start a family in the next few years, saying: "I don't want to start having babies when I'm thirty. I don't believe in after thirty."

We can only wonder what those names are!

It was only last week that Chrissy Teigen and John Legend revealed that they have a little baby girl on the way, and now the mum-to-be is even thinking up some baby names.

One Twitter follower asked Chrissy on Twitter if she had any possible baby names… and you will not believe what her response was.

The 30-year-old answered with "Chubz."

Now, of course Chubz probably isn't going to be the chosen name, but that didn't stop Chrissy's fans having a bit of a laugh with it.

"Baby Chubz, unique & original; it's perfect lol," the follower replied.

The model also told fans of her massive food cravings and said that red meat is the only thing to stop her headaches.

"Get your iron boost on," she told her fans. We certainly will, Chrissy.

But Jimmy had the last laugh when he asked people on the street what they thought of Kimye's baby name… Instead he told them a FAKE baby name.

The reactions are just as good as the fake monkiers:

When we say that the popularity of baby names are more often than not influenced by popular culture what we usually mean is that they are influenced by films, TV shows and celebrities.

We all know that the name Hermione did not become increasingly popular for no reason.

However, what we didn't bank on was social media heavily influencing the popularity of names.

Baby Center, a site that annually compiles trending baby names from across the US, has seen an increase in the popularity of naming children after Instagram filters.

No, really.

The top trending filters on the list were Lux (which was up 75% in popularity), Ludwig (up 42%) and Amaro (up 26%).

Other filters that made the list including Reyes, Hudson and Kelvin for boys and Valencia, Juno and Willow for girls.

Parents are also still heavily influenced by young adult fiction such as the Hunger Games and John Greene's novel the Fault in our Stars (apparently there is a tonne of little toddlers named Katniss and Hazel running around).

Celebrity choices are also often copied. Wyatt, the cute name given to Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher's baby girl went up a whopping 84% this year in popularity.

Hmm, we still don't know how we feel about potentially having a mate named X-Pro II though…
