Remember when you and your loved ones almost came to blows over THAT dress?

Blue, black, white, gold – at this stage no one really cares, and that's not because we've above fighting over the colour of certain items, but because we've found a new one to focus on.

It all started when Twitter user, corso, took to social media earlier this week to pay tribute to her stunning new Kate Spade bag.

After writing "Everyone say hello to my new baby", one of corso's followers commented on the colour… only to realise he wasn't seeing the same colour as the bag's new owner.

And Twitter is now in meltdown.

1. We had this guy fearing the worst

2. This gal laying it on the line

3. This guy getting super technical

4. This guy getting flashbacks

5. And then we had this girl… telling it like it is.

Blue or white, personally we just want the bag.

Much like we thought hovering a buttercup beneath our chin as children would indicate our affinity for the dairy product, we were also brought up to believe that those small white marks on our nails suggested a lack of calcium.

But it turns out – like the buttercup fiasco of the 90s- one has absolutely no bearing on the other.

According to the good folk from the world of science, the small white marks which most of us ignore by painting over are, in most cases, a result of minor trauma – so minor it's likely we didn't even notice it happening.

With the help of a handy science lesson on YouTube, we soon learned that these marks – which are actually known as punctate leokonychia – have very little to do with how much milk you drink.

She may be best known for her beachy, balayage infused hairstyle, but that doesn’t mean Gigi Hadid can’t work a multitude of looks.

Appearing at a CFDA event last night, the Californian model debuted a new full fringe ‘do and already the style has earned itself the title of “hairspo” among the star’s followers.

Since the fringe was paired with volumized hair and a strong bun-based up-do, we’re interested to see how Gigi’s bangs will look when the rest of her hair is down.

Very few people make it out of their teenage years without getting a few breakouts.

And while the vast majority of us became accustomed to concealing a blemish or two, countless teenagers were forced to deal with full-blown acne at the onset of puberty.

Thankfully, however, it sounds like there may be one serious advantage to enduring years of bad skin as scientists recently discovered.

According to a study published in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, the cells of individuals who suffer from acne have built-in protection against ageing.

Using 1,200 twins as part of their research –  a quarter of which had acne – scientists discovered that those with acne had protective caps at the end of their chromosomes.

These 'caps' indicate strong elasticity and mean that oily skin is less likely to thin and develop wrinkles as the individual matures.

That's right, ladies. You may have been the only one with acne in your group but you'll still be getting carded well into your forties.

From Kylie Jenner to Chloe Ferry, at the rate we’re going there won’t be a brunette left by the end of 2016.

And just as Michelle Keegan makes the seriously savvy decision to return to her roots, another notable brunette has traded in her luscious locks in favour of a lighter look.

Ever since she first achieved major fame through Robin Thicke’s controversial Blurred Lines video, Emily Ratajkowski has maintained her glossy brunette mane, but now it looks like the star’s putting the “blondes have more fun” theory to the test, as she’s been pictured with a shoulder-length, platinum-coloured bob.

While the 25-year-old model definitely looks better brunette, we have to admit that she’s well able to work a lighter shade.

And the best news?  Emily’s ‘do is for her role in the new Netflix series Easy so hopefully she’ll be back to her dark self in no time.

Since the day they first hit virtual shelves, it’s been almost impossible to get hold of Kylie Jenner’s famous Lip Kits.

And with metallic shades dominating the 2016 beauty scene, failing to nab one of Kylie’s Kits has been a major struggle in the lives of beauty lovers everywhere.

Because of this, we were delighted to learn that Penneys has come up with a solution to Ireland’s shortage of metallic coloured liquid lipsticks by launching a line of shiny new products which are already shaping up to be a solid dupe for Kylie’s.

There is nothing – and we mean nothing – like the smell of doughnuts.

Even the most strong-willed amongst us here at SHEmazing! HQ have trouble saying no once the scent hits them, so the thought of treating ourselves to the unmistakable aroma without testing the limits of our waistband is hugely appealing.

So, step forward Kim Chi – of Drag Race fame – who has managed to combine our two favourite things – lippie and deep-fried goods.

Designed for Sugarpill Cosmetics, the mauve shade with a matte base and a hint of sparkle not only ticks the boxes for this season's trend, but it actually smells like real-life doughnuts.

Whether it tastes like our favourite jam-filled treats is another story, but hey the scent alone is enough for us.

If you want to get your hands on it, you can order it online for a cool €18.

We all know the scenario; we’re running late for work, college or just coffee with the girls when we try and slap some makeup on our faces in an effort to avoid looking like a character from The Walking Dead.

In our frantic state we drop the lipstick we hoped would fool people into thinking we give two s**ts, and it slides right down the white top we decided to wear on today of all days.

You may think that blouse is doomed to a life of imperfection but with these simple tips you’ll be able to erase any spills or smudges your makeup may have caused.

Foundation

If you’re using an oil-free foundation, try rubbing some shaving cream into the material.

If the stain is proving more stubborn, try adding a little alcohol to the mix.

Lipstick

Lipstick is made with oils so make sure to use an oil-based cleaner to remove to stain. Liquid soaps to clean grease can be the perfect solution.

With a tissue and a small dollop of soap, blot the stain to lift the colour. Spray a little water (don’t soak) and let it sit with the soap doing its magic for 10 minutes and rub away with a clean towel.

Mascara

Using an oil-free makeup remover, blot the area until the stain is lifted.

This simple trick should even work on waterproof mascara.

Nail polish

Nail polish remover is the answer to your prayers is you accidently spill some polish.

However, it can sometimes lift dyes out of your clothes so try a testing it on a smaller, less noticeable area first.

If it is successful, then make sure to throw your clothes in the washing machine straight after.

If remover is a no-go, then try hairspray instead.

We love a good life hack at SHEmazing.

Little tips and tricks that make our lives just a little bit easier.

Well, we’ve got some great beauty hacks for you that we think everyone should know about.

1. Matching your foundation

We know that everyone always tests different foundation colours on their arm or hand but if you want to get a true match, try swatching the colours just underneath the jaw bone.

Never may you buy the wrong shade again.

2. Foundation shade a little bit off

So this might not be for everybody but it’s been tried and tested and it does work.

If you’re finding your foundation is looking a little pink or yellow on your skin then try adding a drop of food colouring.

Add yellow if you’re looking too pink and add a drop of red if you’re looking too yellow.

3. Tailored face masks

So the most common skin type to have is combination so why would you only use a mask for oily skin all over your face?

Yes, you’ll be looking like some kind of tribal warrior but you will get a whole lot more from your masks if you use different ones for different zones.

This also goes for primers, if you have an oily t-zone but are dry everywhere else you should be using two different products to get the best results.

4. Brighter eyes

So while white eyeliner was said to be the go-to product for brightening up your eyes, it can sometimes look quite obvious.

Nude eyeliner looks so much more natural and does a much better job.

There are some great nude eyeliners on the market so you should have no trouble in picking one up.

5. Cleaning your makeup brushes

So the new it-product when it comes to cleaning our brushes are these new brush cleansing palettes.

We love the idea but hate the price tag.

Try using a silicone pot holder instead which you can pick up in the supermarket for a fraction of the price.

6. Use tape for the perfect wing

An oldie but a goodie.

Place a little strip of tape under your eye at the angle you want your flick to be.

Then be as messy as you like with the security of the tape.

Then peal it back and reveal some truly beautiful peepers.

7. Get lipstick-ready, smooth lips

Give your lips a quick exfoliation with your electric toothbrush before bed

Getting rid of all the dead skin and cracks, you’ll be looking like Kylie Jenner in no time.

While Tom Hiddleston and John Mayer kept Twitter entertained through last night’s Emmys, Kristen Bell set to work with winning over Instagram.

Before the event even began, the Bad Moms star used the ‘gram to keep fans up-to-date with her red carpet beauty prep – a process which included a suspect-looking lip conditioning sticker and whole lot of joking around.

Clearly in the depths of a makeover, the actress shared a snap of herself wearing a face mask with the caption: “I have serious doubts this is actually a lip conditioning sticker my makeup artist @simonesiegl applied over my mouth…I’m pretty sure she just wanted me to zip it.”

She then posted a pic of her puffed up hair and wrote: “Caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and said, confidently ‘This looks GREAT guys!  Let’s go!’  Then I was informed we’re only half way done.”

It looks like the 36-year-old’s glam time really did pay off as she appeared on the red carpet in one of the most stunning dresses of the night – a full skirted floral gown with a perfectly plunging neckline which has already been classed as bridal inspiration by online commentators.

Model Emily Ratajkowski, American Pie star Natasha Lyonne and Golden Globe nominee Sarah Paulson also wowed on the night with their very different outfits of choice.

As if Kristen hadn’t already made her way into our go-to Insta list, the Forgetting Sarah Marshall star finished off her night just as we would – by tucking into a big slice of pizza.

Looking slightly less glam than in her earlier pics, the actress shared a photo of herself with sauce on her chin alongside the caption: “The shading on my chin tonight was courtesy of @pizzasauce.”

With so many tricks of the trade at their disposal, it’s easy to assume celebrities have zapped away any imperfections they might have had as soon as they reached stardom.

But thankfully a new tweet by Kylie Jenner has revealed that at times A-listers can be surprisingly refreshing when it comes to natural beauty.

When asked last week about the sizeable leg scar she’s had since childhood, the 19-year-old reality star said that while she could try and have it removed, she’d rather keep the mark because it’s part of who she is.

She wrote: “I’ve had it since I was 3 it’s in all my pics!  I could try & do treatments to remove but I like it.  I think it makes me [me].”

This isn’t the first time the cosmetics entrepreneur has opened up about her scar.

According to Us, late last year she shared a picture of the mark on Instagram alongside the caption “I love my scar” and during a 2011 interview she revealed that the scar is the result of an accident she had while playing hide and seek.
