Oh dear, it seems in the quest for youthful skin, experts have looked to the vampire trend for some inspiration. Experts have discovered that injecting young blood is the key to anti-ageing.
According to the New York Times, scientists from various universities tested the young blood theory on mice and found that it reversed the ageing effect.
They injected older mice with the blood from younger mice and discovered that their muscles and brains were rejuvenated. Sounds like a horror movie to be honest.
However, it’s not just beauty that this theory could help – Stanford scientists found the young blood sped up muscle repair and Harvard researchers believe it could help damaged heart tissue. It may also help Alzheimer sufferers.
Frighteningly, Dr.Toren Finkel director of the Centre for Molecular Medicine at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute says: “We can turn back the clock instead of slowing the clock down. That’s a nice thought if it pans out.”
Benjamin Button comes to mind…

It doesn’t look like the red lip is going to go anywhere – it has just been voted most iconic beauty trend of all time.
However, the results of the poll by Superdrug, doesn’t really surprise us to be honest.
The red lip was made famous by the likes of Marilyn Monroe and is still an incredibly popular trend to this day. It suits (almost!) everyone and is a great way to make a dramatic impact.
The poll asked 2,000 women to rank their iconic beauty looks according to their preference and while bright red lipstick came out on top, smoky eyes came in a close second, with false eyelashes following not too far behind.
Other beauty looks to feature on the list included fake tan at number four, prominent contouring at 17 and pink blusher at 20.
Talking about the results, a Superdrug spokesperson said: “It’s fascinating that we return time and time again to the classic beauty looks. This research shows us that the power of a fabulous red lip remains one of women’s favourite and most dramatic beauty looks.”
Kelly Osbourne’s beauty regime has apparently scared her out of sleep.
The star uploaded this hilariously scary photo to her Instagram account and wrote: “I was trying to relax and go to bed for my 2am call time tomorrow with a relaxing mask… But I look more like #HannibalLector! Scared myself out of sleep!”
The mask is fairly frightening, Kell!
Ah, the lengths we ladies go to for beauty, eh?
We’d be more scared by the 2am call to be honest.

It seems people have found a solution to getting rid of the dreaded love handles and it involves freeing it off.
A Harley Street clinic claims to they have seen a huge increase in their tummy and love handles freezing treatments. They have attributed it to ladies looking for a waist like Keira Knightly.
The 60-minute non-invasive Lipoglaze treatment ranges from £600 to £1,000 and claims to be able to create a “wasp waist” just like Kiera’s. The treatment heats and then fast freezes subcutaneous fat cells up to -10°C. The cells then crystallise and die and are naturally excreted out of the body over four to eight weeks.
According to the clinic: “Each one-hour session gets rid of a third of all fat cells in the treatment area and in the case of the waistline it amounts to around two inches off the waistline.”
Debra Robson from LoveLite clinic said: “Most women have booked in for two treatments, one 60 minute treatment on the front and two 30 minute sessions on each side of the hips.”
Celebs that have already got on board the fat-freezing bandwagon include Luisa Zissman and Binky Felstead.
Jennifer Aniston revealed another side to her boyfriend recently when she disclosed a secret about him.

A multi-million dollar ring of fake cosmetics was seized in the US recently.
The seizure included all of our everyday products such as lip balms, baby oil and even sanitary pads.
There has been a sharp rise in counterfeit products in recent years and many people buy their favourite make-up brands at knock-off prices online.
We all love a good bargain, but what are the risks of these counterfeit products for your skin?
Rather serious it would seem!
Allergic reactions and sore, red eyes are just some of the complaints that arise from using these products.
When you buy a products from a high-street seller, you are buying something that has been tested and adheres to standard laws. These laws do not apply to something that is counterfeit.
Therefore, we do not know what we are using.
In relation to the massive haul in the US, District Attorney Kathleen Rice had this to say: “Health and beauty products like lip balms, oils, shampoos and inhalers are highly regulated in order to protect the consumer.”
In order too avail of this protection you need to purchase your make-up from a reputable source.
Here are some ways to spot a fake make-up product:
The best way to avoid fake make-up products is to always buy your goods from high-street, reputable sellers and always question a suspiciously low price.
Don’t risk your skin for a bargain!
