Today the Queen of Pop, Beyoncé herself, turns 33.
She’s never been afraid to show off her curves, and in celebration of her birthday, we’re taking a look back at 10 times that B’s style was undeniably #flawless…
1. The time she braved the pain of a mosaic leotard for us, her fans:
Beyoncé played a blinder at the MTV Video Music Awards last month. As well as receiving the Video Vanguard award recognising her amazing achievements in music, she also closed the ceremony with a 15-minute medley of songs from her recent album. Oh, and she looked incredible while doing it. Applause!
2. When she changed the colours of the US flag to suit her outfit:
You wouldn’t catch us doing this with the Tricolour. Bey wowed fans during the On The Run tour back in June, as she went all dominatrix with a leather leotard and thigh-high boots. Whoever was operating the wind machine did a VERY good job that night.
3.The time she outshone a grand piano:
Queen B had a gazillion costume changes during the recent Mrs Carter tour, but we love this sparkling midnight blue catsuit from the New York leg of the concerts in December. So practical for lying on grand pianos, too.
4. When she borrowed her gran’s net curtains and looked FIERCE:
This is Beyoncé at her very best, performing at Rock in Rio last September. Who else could pull off a see-through white leotard? We’re in awe.
5. When she became a total rock chick:
Bey’s Superbowl performance last year was one of the most hotly anticipated performances of the year, and it didn’t disappointment. Not only did she look awesome in this black leather and lace outfit, but the Destiny’s Child ladies even joined her for a few songs.
6. The time she took her diva status to the maximum in this sequinned blazer:
Beyoncé. Pyramid Stage. Glastonbury. Sequins. Enough said.
7. The time she showed us all she was gonna be one hot mama:
Beyoncé revealed she was pregnant at the 2011 VMAs and the internet basically imploded with excitement… Can you believe that was 3 years ago?!
8. All the times she wowed us in Destiny’s Child
Okay, there was Kelly and Michelle, but Beyoncé was always the standout star of Destiny’s Child. Look at that smize! Tyra Banks would be proud.
