Earlier this week, James Corden announced he had become a father for the third time.

Taking to Twitter, he revealed that his wife, Julie, had given birth to a baby girl, but the British star chose not to disclose whether or not the couple had decided upon a name for the newborn yet.

And it seems this may have been because he knew the story behind it would make for a much better opening monologue, as he proved when he returned to the set of The Late Late Show this week.

"We still haven’t chosen a name for her yet,” James revealed. “After the baby was born, I was crying, my wife was crying her eyes out, the baby’s crying, and the doctor asked about a name."

"I don’t know why I said it, but I looked at the doctor and said, ‘We’re going to call her ‘Beyoncé’.’

To the sound of uproarious laughter, James confirmed that while his wife wasn't impressed by the joke, medical staff took the 39-year-old seriously and began filling out paperwork in relation to the child's arrival.

After realising a nurse was adding the name to his daughter's form, James told the audience: “I had to go over to her and say, ‘Excuse me, there is only one Beyoncé,’

Destiny's Child is completely iconic, and no one who existed in the 90s and 00s was immune from their catchy fire tunes.

In fact, who could forget their breakout performance at The Point in the year 2000? If you weren't there, disposable camera in hand, were you even a fan?

Well, if you missed them then, you may be in with a chance to see them once more.

Thanks to the work of some very savvy online detectives, it seems that a reunion could be on the cards.

OG fans of the band will remember original member LaTavia Robertson.

LaTavia had her Twitter followers in a tizzy after she posted a very cryptic message to the social media site.

The former band member eluded that she had a secret project in the works that she was unable to discuss publicly.

Now you may say that this could be about anything, but there's more to the web of intrigue.

Another former member, Michelle Williams, posted a snap of a stage costume she wore when Destiny's Child joined Beyonce on stage at the Supoerbowl in 2013.

Posting the snap to her Instagram story, along with the bee emoji, the singer said 'ya'll remember this performance outfit from the Superbowl?'

Obviously, this combined with LaTavia's tweet is starting to look more convincing, but it doesn't end there.

Beyonce uploaded and then deleted this snap of herself wearing an ACDC t-shirt, where only the DC letters of the band name are visible.

Another original band member Letoya  Luckett also posted a throwback to her singing days.

LeToya performed alongside Bey in Girls Tyme, the pre-Destiny's Child, in the early 90s.

Fans are speculating that after cancelling her Coachella performance this year, Beyonce wants to pull out all the stops for her rescheduled performance at Coachella 2018, and has called in Destiny's Child to make it the most legendary performance of all time.

Could it all be a coincidence?

We certainly hope not, because this is legit what we look like right now:

Up until the release of Lemonade last year, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, who tied the knot in 2008, were considered the golden couple of the music industry.

As well as being highly acclaimed artists in their own right with countless awards under their belts, it looked like Bey and Jay had also managed to sidestep something many A-list couples fall foul off – infidelity.

Until Becky with the good hair showed up, that is.

While it's been over a year since Beyoncé hinted that her husband had engaged in an extra-marital affair, interest among fans and critics hasn't waned, so it's no real surprise Jay-Z's latest interview with New York Times' T magazine has caused serious waves this week.

Commenting on the impact their personal life had on their approach to their work, Jay Z made it clear that Bey's lyrics had solid grounding in reality by acknowledgng that his behaviour and inner turmoil has led to discontent between the pair.

"You have to survive. So you go into survival mode, and when you go into survival mode, what happens? You shut down all emotions," he explained.

"So, even with women, you gonna shut down emotionally, so you can't connect. … In my case, like, it's deep. And then all the things happen from there: infidelity."

Jay- Z went on to admit that the pair have had to deal with issues that might cause other couples to throw in the towel.

"You know, most people walk away, and, like, divorce rate is like 50 percent or something ’cause most people can’t see themselves. The hardest thing is seeing pain on someone’s face that you caused, and then have to deal with yourself," he said.

While some members of the industry seemed aghast that Bey and Jay decided to address their issues in their music, Jay Z feels it was the best move for them.

"The best place in the hurricane is in the middle of it. The best place is right in the middle of the pain. And that's where we were sitting."

"And it was uncomfortable. And we had a lot of conversations. [I was] really proud of the music she made, and she was really proud of the art I released. And, you know, at the end of the day we really have a healthy respect for one another's craft. I think she's amazing.”

And as for having regrets over the route their marriage took? Jay Z is determined to find the positive in the negative.

"I grew so much from the experience," he insists. "But I think the most important thing I got is that everything is connected."

"Every emotion is connected and it comes from somewhere. And just being aware of it. Being aware of it in everyday life puts you at such a … you’re at such an advantage."

With 108 million followers, it'll come as no surprise to hear that Beyoncé had the most liked Instagram photo of the year.

The Crazy In Love singer's pregnancy announcement gathered up 11.18 million likes. Casual.

The public was pleasantly surprised when the mum-of-three revealed that she was expecting twins with her husband Jay-Z.

The extravagant photo stunned fans back in February.

We all remember where we were when she posted it, right?

Beyoncé rocked a long, green veil as she held her bump. She was surrounded by tonnes of flowers in the iconic photo that we still can’t get over, ten months later.

In true Beyoncé fashion, the Halo singer featured on the list not once, but twice. The stunning photo of the mum holding her two twins made the number four spot on the most liked photos list.

Beyoncé was in good company, with Selena Gomez and Ronaldo coming in at the second and third place.

We feel like champs when one of our selfies receives 50 likes, we can’t imagine how Beyoncé copes with all the notifications she gets on Instagram.

However, Queen B isn’t the most popular woman on Instagram. Selena Gomez is rockin' the queen of Instagram crown with 130 million followers.

She has been joined by chart-topper Ariana Grande, reality star Kim Kardashian and Bad Blood singer Taylor Swift who have 333 million followers among them.

Will posing amongst thousands of flowers help us gain more Instagram followers? If so, we’re off to the nearest florist to start planning a Queen B inspired photo shoot.

It's not often that Beyoncé misses the mark.

From secret album drops to iconic baby announcements, she pretty much slays at everything she ever does, and with some of the most loyal fans in the entertainment industry, the singer could sell just about anything she put her name on.

However, it looks like not everyone is a fan of Queen Bey's latest piece of merchandise.

As part of her 'holiday' collection, the star has released one of the most underwhelming Christmas jumper we have ever laid our eyes on.

It's lackluster design features the words 'Beyoncé Holiday Sweater' etched across a jet-black jumper, in what looks like a child's handwriting.

Needless to say, infuriated fans have taken to Twitter to express their frustration, with some suggesting that Beyoncé simply didn't send enough time designing the garment.

The jumper sells online for $55 (€46), alongside other festive Beyoncé-themed products such as baubles, phone covers, wrapping paper and even baby grows!

The Lion King is the next up and coming Disney live-action to hit our screens, and though it won't be here until 2019, Disney have already revealed exactly who is on board to voice act in the new flick.

One of the most exciting revelations is that Queen Bey herself is on hand to star in the flick.

Beyoncé has been confirmed to play Nala, while the divine Donald Glover will voice Simba.

As we reported a number of months ago, actors and comedians Seth Rogen and Billy Eichn have been enlisted to play iconic double act Timon and Pumbaa.

James Earl Jones, who originally voiced Mufasa in the 1994 classic, will return to take on the role once again.

Chiwetel Ejiofo is stepping up to the role of Scar.

The film is due for release in July 2019.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z stepped out in style last night, making their first public appearance since the birth of their new twins.

Rumi and Sir arrived over two months ago, and the pair have been focusing on their family since.

However, last night the couple joined a whole host of other stars at Rihanna‘s Clara Lionel Foundation Diamond Ball in New York City’s Cipriani Wall Street.

Beyoncé looked like a complete queen (obvs) in a plunging sea green silk gown with a thigh high split.

The superstar accessorised the look with black chunky heels and diamond drop earrings.

Meanwhile Jay-Z looked dapper AF in a black suit and bow tie.

Beyoncé also posed with long-term pal Rihanna on the night.

The couple are pretty low key in terms of keeping their private lives to themselves, and in their usual fashion, left the event a little early via the venue's private back entrance.

A number of years ago, Rutgers University in New Jersey decided that it was high-time students began studying the life and times of Beyoncé Knowles.

No longer sufficient to simply butcher the singer's songs during ill-advised karaoke sessions, the powers that be at Rutgers encouraged students to enroll in “Politicizing Beyoncé,” a Spring semester course at the New Jersey school.

And it doesn't seem like the approach was a flash in the pan either, with Copenhagen University deciding to follow suit this year.

According to a report in The Telegraph, 'Beyoncé, Gender and Race' has piqued the attention of the student body, with more than 500 students signing up to participate.

Speaking to local press, Professor Erik Steinskog outlined the overview of the course, and provided the public with an insight into the university's decision to create the module.

"We will analyse her songs and music videos. There will be a focus on gender, sexuality and race," he said.

"One of the goals [of the class] is to introduce black feminist thought, which is not well known in Scandinavia. We want to explore the kind of entity feminism is,” he said.

“Beyoncé is important in understanding the world we live in. Beyoncé is one of the biggest pop artists today, which makes her important in an analysis of contemporary times."

Ladies, we'd be front-row centre, pen and paper in hand.

The rumour mill has been working overtime this week, following speculation that Beyoncé will to record the next James Bond theme song.

Following in the footsteps of fellow musicians Adele, Sam Smith, and Alicia Keys, the 35-year-old is believed to be in talks with Bond producers, with some reports suggesting that her husband, Jay-Z could even feature on the track.

The upcoming film, which is due to be released on 2019, will be the 25th in the James Bond series and it was recently confirmed that Daniel Craig is on board to reprise his iconic role.

According to the Daily Star, Beyoncé reached out to Adele, who recorded the soundtrack for the 2017 Bond film, Skyfall.

“The two spoke before Bey’s first meeting with film bosses and Adele told her how co-writing and performing a Bond theme gave her an amazing career hike. Not many of the themes have been as successful – but there are tens of millions of Beyoncé fans out there,” the source revealed.

A studio executive for MGM added: "To tie-up a deal with Beyoncé for a theme song for Daniel’s fifth appearance as 007 would really be the icing on the cake."

However, the Formation singer remains tight-lipped on the matter with a representative for the star telling Billboard: “This is a rumour.”

But given that Beyoncé has a reputation for keeping her career moves under tight wraps, we're not going to write off the possibility just yet.

Joseph Kann, the director of the music video for Taylor Swift's new single, Look What You Made Me Do, has denied claims that he copied the imagery in Beyoncé's Formation.

Following the single's release on Thursday night, a teaser clip was dropped for the upcoming video.

Beyoncé fans were quick to point out some comparisons between the visuals for the two videos, and many took to Twitter to share the similarities, with some even accusing Taylor of cultural appropriation.

Last night, Joseph addressed the accusations in a tweet writing that he has much “love and respect for Bey”, though Taylor's new video is “not in her art space.”

Joseph has previously worked with Beyoncé during the Destiny's Child era as director of the Say My Name and Jumpin' Jumpin videos. He has also worked with Taylor on a number of projects including the videos for Bad Blood, Blank Space, Wildest Dreams and Out Of The Woods.

Look What You Made Me Do is the first single from Taylor's sixth studio album, Reputation, which is set to be released on November 10.

The world has been obsessed with the arrival of Beyoncé and Jay-Z's twins ever since Bey's epic Instagram pregnancy announcement.

The twins arrival back in June was a hot bed of rumours and anticipation, as fans clamoured for news of the twin's names.

Not everyone was impressed with the chosen monikers of Rumi and Sir, but now we have an explanation as to where they got their unique names.

A post shared by Beyoncé (@beyonce) on

In a new interview, with Rap Radar, Jay-Z has revealed exactly why those names were chosen for his baby son and daughter.

'Rumi is our favourite poet, so it was for our daughter,' he told the mag.

This name was chosen in reference to 13th century Persian poet Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi.

However, Sir's name came about in a pretty different manner.

'Sir was like, man, come out the gate.'

He carries himself like that. He just came out like, Sir,' Jay-Z explained.
