Twitter users have been left baffled by Madame Tussauds' wax figure of Beyoncé – and honestly, it's not hard to see why.

Originally unveiled in 2014, the waxwork was recently returned to the New York museum after a stint in Orlando, Florida.

After Madame Tussauds' announced the return of Queen Bey this week, Twitter users were quick to point out that the wax figure's skin tone appeared to be several shades lighter than that of Beyoncé's.

What do you think?

Many disappointed fans listed a number of other celebrities with whom the figure shared a greater likeness.

Speaking to the Press Association, a spokeswoman for Madame Tussauds said:

“At Madame Tussauds, our talented team of sculptors take every effort to ensure we accurately colour match all of our wax figures to the celebrity being depicted,” she said.

“Lighting within the attraction combined with flash photography may distort and misrepresent the colour of our wax figures which is something our sculptors are unable to account for at the production stage.”

And it looks like this isn't the first time sculptors have missed the mark.

Following Madame Tussauds' reveal, Twitter was flooded with other examples of wax museums failing to capture Bey's fierceness.

But really, this just proves what we all suspected – Beyoncé is one of a kind and impossible to recreate.

Unless you've been living under a rock, you will, at this stage, know that Beyoncé recently made the decision to share the first photograph of her newborn baby twins – Sir Carter and Rumi.

And while the more doting among us zeroed in on the babies, the more fashion-oriented among us couldn't help but obsess over the gown Bey chose to wear for the milestone moment.

So, if you've been only dying to get the 411 on the violet and aqua piece Bey saw fit to wear in the photo which has now been liked more than 9,000,000 times, pull up a pew.

According to Vogue, the gown is the creation of Alejandro Gómez Palomo of the romantic menswear label Palomo Spain.

As the world fawned over the gown, Alejandro explained the back story, saying: "It’s the only piece I’ve ever made like that."

"It is vintage silk organza from a really old couture textile shop in Córdoba, Spain, which is near where I live. It is circa either the 1950s or the 1960s."

"I thought, Oh my God, I am so in love with this fabric. It had a midcentury quality – but we changed that," he explained.

It turns out that Queen Bey was equally taken by the design, and placed an order, had it tailored to her measurements… and then learned she was expecting.

Reflecting on this turn of events, Alejando said: "We thought, OK, she won’t wear it, oh well."

So, like the rest of the world, Alejandro was stunned by Bey's Thursday night upload, but for slightly different reasons.

Thrilled the Formation singer opted to wear the design in what is sure to become one of her most iconic photos, Alejandro said: "This is a really big surprise, obviously. I love the picture. It’s just really beautiful. It’s special."

Never stop dreaming Congratulations @beyonce for such beautiful babies I'm so proud

Taking to Instagram shortly after the singer delighted fans the world over with her big reveal, Alejandro allowed himself to celebrate the singer's choice of attire.

Sharing the same snap, he wrote: "Never stop dreaming. Congratulations @beyonce for such beautiful babies. I'm so proud."

Acknowleding the one-of-a-kind creation, Alejando gushed: "It’s exquisite . . . and I can never find it again, of course. It’s a gown, now, that almost has the shape of a big fur coa – sleeved and open."

In a rare glimpse into the personal lives of one of the world's most famous power couples, Jay-Z has admitted his marriage to Beyoncé 'wasn't built on 100 per cent truth'.

During a sit-down conversation with Chris Rock, Will Smith, Kendrick Lamar and Jesse Williams that was streamed on Tidal, Jay opened up about about relationships in the public eye.

He said: "This is my real life. I just ran into this place and we built this big, beautiful mansion of a relationship that wasn’t totally built on the 100 percent truth and it starts cracking."

"Things start happening that the public can see. Then we had to get to a point of 'OK, tear this down and let’s start from the beginning.' It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done."

The rapper went on to explain how he wanted to make things work.

"We’ve been in that space where we just got to the place that in order for this to work, it can’t be fake – not once. I’m not saying it wasn’t uncomfortable because obviously it was, but because we’ve been doing it for so long it was less uncomfortable."

The admission comes after the release of his latest album 4:44, in which he appears to confirm allegations that he had been unfaithful in his marriage.

In the title track, Jay seems to apologise for this actions, saying it took the couple's daughter, Blue Ivy, to make him him realise the severity of his actions.

He raps: "I apologise, often womanise, took my child to be born, see through a woman’s eyes. Took for these natural twins to believe in miracles. Took me too long for this song. I don’t deserve you."

Since the album's release, Jay-Z has not been in the good books with the Beyhive – and we can't imagine his latest admission is going to help him in that department.

But regardless of what we think, the couple seem to have moved on from the drama and are instead working together to raise their family.

We still haven't gotten a peek at Beyonce and Jay-Z's new arrivals, but recently filed legal documents might just have revealed the babies names.

A trademark document filed this week points to the twins being named Rumi and Sir Carter.

A post shared by Beyoncé (@beyonce) on

The names are pretty unusual, but in celeb-land unique names are essential.

This also suggests that the pair have had one boy twin, named Sir, and one girl twin, named Rumi.

According to TMZ, the trademarks are for 'fragrances, cosmetics, key chains, baby teething rings, strollers, mugs, water bottles, hair ribbons, playing cards, tote bags, sports balls, rattles and novelty items.'

It would make sense in this case, as Beyonce has previously trademarked Blue Ivy's name.

Five months ago, Beyonce put in a request to the United States Patent and Trademark Office to copyright the term Blue Ivy Carter for future business endeavours.

So, we all remember Becky with the good hair, right?

Well, it looks like Jay-Z's latest album, 4:44, may just be a response to Beyonce's Lemonade.

In her 2016 album, Beyonce calls out Jay for allegedly cheating on her with a mysterious woman.

Of course, the rumour mill went into overdrive, but today, fans are still none the wiser as to who this so-called 'Becky' could be.

However, it looks like we may be one step closer, as lyrics on Jay-Z's 4:44 appear to address the speculation around his infidelity.

In a track entitled Family Feud, he raps: “Yeah, I’ll f**k up a good thing if you let me. Leave me alone, Becky. A man that don’t take care his family can’t be rich.”

Fans also believe that the albums title track is an apology to Bey with Jay admitting that it took the birth of their daughter, Blue Ivy, to make him see how bad his behaviour had become.

He raps: “I apologise, often womanise, took my child to be born, see through a woman’s eyes. Took for these natural twins to believe in miracles. Took me too long for this song. I don’t deserve you.”

“If my children knew, I don’t even know what I would do. If they don’t look at me the same I would probably die of all the shame.”

Blue Ivy's voice can also be heard on the track Legacy, where she appears to ask her father,  “Daddy, what’s a will?”

Using the opportunity to get everything out in the open, Jay also references the infamous elevator fight between him and Beyonce's sister, Solange.

“You egg Solange on knowing all along all you had to say was you was wrong.”

“You almost went Eric Benet! Let the baddest girl in the world get away. I don’t even know what to say, n***a never go Eric Benet.”

Fans have taken to Twitter to react to the much anticipated album.

But of course, the Beyhive was out in force to defend their Queen Bee.

As of now, 4:44 is only available to stream on Tidal, but fans are hoping for a Spotify/ Apple Music release in the future.

Well, after weeks of waiting and many false reports, the moment has finally arrived – Beyoncé has reportedly given birth to her twins!

It was the team at Us Weekly who first broke the news, claiming that the Crazy In Love star gave birth earlier this week. People went on to quote a source who said: “Bey and Jay are thrilled and have started sharing the news with their family and closest friends.”

While there has been no word yet from the couple themselves, with no details regarding gender and names, different rumours abound on social media! Some fans believe the couple may have welcomed a boy and a girl, after spotting a woman visiting the hospital where Beyoncé reportedly gave birth, carrying a pink and a blue balloon tagged with a card for 'B+J'.

President Obama, meanwhile, led many to suggest that the family have welcomed twin girls, saying on Friday: "Jay and I are also fools for our daughters. Although, he's going to have me beat once those twins show up."

We guess we will just have to wait for their announcement, which is sure to be heartwarming – and break the internet!

Beyoncé and husband Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, are of course already parents to five-year-old daughter Blue Ivy.

The star announced her wonderful pregnancy news back in February, with one of the most talked-about and liked Instagram posts of 2017.

Posing in a veil against a wall of flowers, the 35-year-old wrote: “We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes – The Carters.”

Just last month, Beyoncé was surrounded by family and friends as she celebrated her baby shower, referred to as the ‘Carter Push Party’!

With guests including Kelly Rowland and Serena Williams on hand to celebrate, Beyoncé marked the impending arrival of her two bundles of joy with an African-themed affair.

The mum-to-be posed alongside her proud husband for a series of stunning black-and-white portraits, her burgeoning bump the star of the show.

The Run the World star previously opened up about how motherhood had changed her, particularly how she looks at her body.

In an interview with Vogue, she admitted: “I just feel my body means something completely different. I feel a lot more confident about it. Even being heavier, thinner – whatever. I feel a lot more like a woman. More feminine, more sensual. And no shame.”

We are so thrilled for Beyoncé and her family – we can’t wait to get sneak-peeks into the journey ahead with her little bundles of joy.

This weekend, Beyoncé and her famous squad, consisting of her ex band mates and family, got all dressed-up for a festive baby shower, which was named the "Carter Push Party."

Some of the well-known faces that attended the baby shower celebrations were Queen Bey's best friend Kelly Rowland, her sister Solange, Destiny's Child member Michelle Williams, and Serena Williams, who is also currently expecting.

The Love on Top singer's mum, Tina Lawson, shared a video from inside the party on her Instagram account, showing all the guests shouting: "Happy Carter Push Party!"

The famous guests can all be seen sitting around a table covered with flowers, while a huge buffet (drool) is visible behind them.

"All these beautiful ladies at the Carter Push Party!" she captioned it.

According to People magazine, Bey was proudly baring her bump at the party after being covered in henna tattoos.

A source also told E!: "The party was very family friendly with Blue Ivy and lots of her friends running around the grounds of the estate.

"There was a huge tent erected on the property where most of the shower took place. The decor was African themed and very colourful with lounge seating areas, floor pillows and rugs on the floor.

"The tables had lanterns, wooden elephants and pink and white roses for centrepieces. There was also a henna tattoo artist and African dancers and drummers walking around. A huge soul food buffet was served for a late lunch."

Queen Bey, who is already mum to gorgeous five-year-old daughter Blue, is expected to give birth any day now.

Beyoncé stepped out in style at the Wearable Art Gala at the California African American Museum in Los Angeles on Saturday.

All eyes were on the iconic singer in her plunging red gown, but it was her amazing statement flower crown that really caught people's eye.

Not that Beyoncé needs any help commanding a room, but her commitment to the glorious flower crown definitely got people talking.

The statement piece is reminiscent of festivals past, when the flower crown ruled the roost in terms of popular head gear.

The item has waned in popularity since, with hats, bandanas and delicate head chains becoming more and more frequent, but Beyoncé makes a definite case for the triumphant return of the flower crown.

In honour of the one-year anniversary of Lemonade, Beyoncé has launched a new ‘Formation’ scholarship for young women in four of America’s top universities.

The star announced the initiative in a statement on her website on Tuesday, April 25.

It read, “Beyoncé Knowles-Carter announces the establishment of Formation Scholars awards for the 2017-2018 academic year, to encourage and support young women who are unafraid to think outside the box and are bold, creative, conscious and confident.”

The scholarship will be awarded to four incoming or current undergraduate and post-grad students pursuing degrees in creative arts, music, literature or African-American studies.

Young women who are attending, or planning to attend, Berklee College of Music, Howard University, Parsons School of Design and Spelman College, will be eligible to apply.

According to CNN, the scholarships are worth about $25,000 each.

Hopeful applicants are required to submit a portfolio of work along with an essay answering the question: “How has LEMONADE inspired your educational goals?”

Sounds easy enough, right?
