When it comes to our wedding day, the dance us ladies generally focus on is the first one between ourselves and the person we've just married.

But if you think five minutes swirling around the floor to John Legend's All of Me gives you carte blanche to air guitar with your bridesmaids all evening, think again.

In a move which has lit a fire under bridal parties all over the world, one bride and her four bridesmaids decided to perform a perfectly choreographed routine to Beyoncé's Upgrade U.

And ladies, they slayed.

Calling on the ladies in their lives to get their own heads in the game in time for the big day, Twitters users have wasted no time tagging mates in an effort to set the ball rolling.

"Gals was genuinely gonna tag you and ask can we start rehearsals soon," wrote one while another added: "F**k yeah! We need to start preparing for Mary's wedding."

Unfortunately, not everyone was on board with one gal admitting: "I'm not in shape to do this. Sorry" and another explaining: "Just to clarify – this would be physically impossible for me to do if you're getting ideas."

Ah ladies, where's the enthusiasm?!

This is NOT a drill people!

Following the release of Queen Bey's amazing new album Lemonade, a university in America announced it will offer an entire class on the subject.

The University of Texas at San Antonio will offer it's students a class entitled "Black Women, Beyoncé, and Popular Culture."

Emmm… where do we sign up?

Students of this class will study "the singer's ode to 'black womanhood' and how it relates to 'theoretical, historical, and literary frameworks of black feminism.'"

The course will focus mainly on Lemonade, and will "follow the album's progression all the way from Formation to All Night."

The lecturer is Kinitra D. Brooks, who is a scholar of race, gender, and horror.

This is AMAZING.

If we were lucky enough to meet Beyoncé, you can be damn sure we wouldn't be doing much except giggling into our sleeve and maybe peeing our pants.

But if we did manage to hold it together in front of Queen Bey, we'd probably do our best to keep Michelle Obama's wise words in mind.

Speaking to Stephen Colbert on the Late Show, the First Lady got real about the woman who brought us some of the sassiest singles of our generation.

"You shouldn’t look her in the eye " Michelle warned the world. "She’s a special person."

Wait, what?

But before Beyonce could become the boogieman of the music industry, Michelle reminded us that beneath all the sass, there's a straight-up southern girl.

"She’s a sweetheart. She’s smart, she’s creative, she’s a great mother, she loves her family,” Michelle gushed.

Smart and creative is all well and good, but you heard her, ladies – avoid eye contact at all costs.

It’s official: There has never before been a party thrown on this planet that we would rather have been invited to than Beyoncé’s 35th.

Last night at a star-studded event in New York the Lemonade creator let loose as she partied like there was no tomorrow in full 70s glamour surrounded by Jay Z, Blue Ivy and their impressive team of celebrity friends.

Footage from the party not only shows Bey and Jay grinding in full costume on the dancefloor, but also catches their four-year-old daughter wishing her famous mother a happy birthday before swiping a sneaky taste of the cake.

Naturally enough Bey looked incredible as she danced in a revealing one-legged jumpsuit, while her husband of eight years got in on the themed action with afro-style hair, a silk head scarf and rounded shades.

The singer’s sister Solage wore a long green leather coat over a short peach dress, while Queen B’s former band mate Kelly Rowland – who recently admitted to getting Beyoncé diamonds for her birthday – stunned in a plunging metallic jumpsuit.

According to the Mail Online, Alicia Keys, Serena Williams, Jourdan Dunn and Usher were all among the party’s guests.

Yesterday the songstress used Instagram to thank her friends, family and fans for their love and support on her special day.

Alongside a GIF of her dancing in a printed dress, Beyoncé wrote: “I just want to say thank you to everyone for all the beautiful and thoughtful birthday wishes.”

“I am so fortunate to have the love and support of my family, my friends, and my hive.  We’ve grown up together and you guys continue to inspire and motivate me everyday.”

 Happy Birthday Beyoncé!

“I’m so grateful for every challenge, every smile, every tear, every discovery, every sacrifice, every triumph, every stretch mark, every kiss, every scar,” she continued.

“I strive to make you proud.  I love YOOOUUUU!”

It’s a good thing the singer has been ordered to go on vocal rest, as after that do she could hardly have a voice left!

Yesterday the world celebrated as Queen B turned 35 but while most of us confined our celebrations to binging on Lemonade and sharing Beyoncé GIFs with our mates, Kelly Rowland surprised her BFF with a very special gift.

In a bid to prolong Bey’s birthday weekend, the singer’s former bandmate and long-time friend decided to join her in Philadelphia for the Made in America festival and Kelly did not arrive to the party empty handed.

In an interview with E! News the X Factor judge revealed that she would be gifting the Sorry singer with diamonds to mark the occasion.

She said: “We are all going to be celebrating this festival and Beyoncé’s birthday.”

“We are all going to be together.  I am getting ready to see her now.”

And when asked what she got the girl who has everything, Kelly replied: “Well, diamonds are a girl’s best friend…I got her diamonds.”

So if you’ve never before thought of sending Ms Rowland a friend request, now would probably be a good time to do it.

We all have notions that Blue Ivy might one day follow in her parents’ musical footsteps, but it looks like Beyoncé can’t wait that long.

According to the New York Post, Queen Bey has her sights set on a 17-year-old whose talent in the music department grabbed the attention of an executive from the star’s Parkwood Entertainment company back in 2014.

After spotting Sophie Beem performing in Greenwich Village, the exec placed the teen in front of Beyonce who spent the next two years mentoring the budding young star before deciding that now was the time to unveil her protégée to the wider world.

And everyone is falling all over themselves.

In addition to helping Sophie hone her songwriting skills, Queen Bey taught the young New Yorker how to nail that all-important on-stage feature – singing and dancing at the same time.

“One thing Beyoncé taught me was to sing and run on the treadmill at the same time,” Sophie told the New York Post.

“Most people don’t realise, but singing and dancing at the same time is something you have to train really hard for – and now I can do it!”

And if you think Sophie’s name sounds a little familiar, it may be because you already came across her on Spotify.

After releasing her self-titled debut EP in March, the teen has already clocked up almost one million plays, and it sounds like her star is definitely on the rise.

All hail, Queen Beem.

From generating a newfound obsession with lemon-based drinks to riding a jet ski in a designer jumpsuit, if anyone has made 2016 their own it has to be Beyoncé.

And while Lemonade was released way back in April, it seems both the groundbreaking visual album and its creator are not done surprising us just yet as Queen B has now shared almost 50 behind-the-scenes photos from the album which pretty much launched a manhunt for “Becky with the good hair”.

On Saturday Beyoncé marked National Lemonade Day – yes, that’s a thing – with the impressive collection of images which range from her running across mattresses in that now famous yellow dress to more intimate photos like those of Jay Z playing with Blue Ivy.

Naturally the pics have created a stir online with one Twitter user writing: “Beyoncé’s behind the scenes pics of the making of Lemonade should be in a special museum devoted to joy & excellence.”

While another said: “Beyoncé’s behind the scenes photos of Lemonade added 5 years to my life expectancy.”

We’re sure avid Lemonade fans will be searching these pics for clues about the meaning behind Sasha Fierce’s most cryptic performance yet.

We'd play Beyoncé all day every day if we could.

From her Bootylicious back catalogue to her current chart-toppers, there's always time for a visit from the queen.

Unless you're Mariah Carey, that is.

According to reports emerging Stateside, Mariah had a mini meltdown when her fiancé, James Packer, decided to use a little Bey to create a romantic atmosphere in their home.

The Fix claims that James was left red-faced whe he realised his fiancée had no intention of being seduced to the sounds of a rival artist.

"Mariah threw the computer that was playing it via speakers out the window," a source told the website this week.

And her 1980s rockstar strop didn't stop there, as The Fix continues: "Seriously, she just trashed it. She ran out of the room screaming."

Mariah's meltdown, unsurprisingly, brought the evening to an end, with the source adding: "So the night was obviously finished for James, and they retreated to separate parts of the house. And she had a few glasses of wine to cool down."

As you would.

When it comes to parents of a certain age and social media of a certain type, we're just a little iffy.

While they may have Facebook figured out – and sign off each and every comment with 'Mary and the kids' – that doesn't mean they have the whole shebang nailed.

And when it comes to keeping certain things under wraps, they can't always be trusted as Queen Bey recently learned.

While the star has kept her Instagram updated with the best of them, fans were pretty certain the Halo singer had yet to make her way over to Snapchat… but it looks like they were wrong.

In a move which has 'classic Mam' written all over it, it looks like Tina Knowles has let the cat out of the bag, and revealed that her world-famous daughter has a secret Snapchat account.

Taking to Instagram yesterday, Tina shared a faceswap video of herself which she says Beyoncé sent her.

"My baby Beyonce sent me this," Tina wrote. "It's really cool! I have to learn how to do this."

"Her face and my face together. Her voice coming out of my mouth. Or maybe it's her mouth. Hell I don't know! No Snapchat, seriously!" she continued.

Leaping on Tina's comments, social media users wasted no time highlighting the leak in the momager's upload.

"Bey's gotta snapchat and she's hiding it from us!" wrote one while another added: "We need to find out Beyoncè's snapchat!"

Good one, Tina.

We’ve all seen the pictures of perfectly tanned bikini-clad girls riding jet skis around crystal clear water, but have you ever seen a global superstar do it in a designer jumpsuit and bright red helmet?  We think not!

Amazingly that trend could soon become the norm as Beyoncé has been pictured driving a black and white jet ski along the Italian coast while wearing a fitted life-jacket over a silver embellished jumpsuit.

And while the combination is beyond random, it would take Queen B to work it like a total BOSS.

According to PEOPLE, Bey is currently taking a little jet ski centred vaycay around the Mediterranean as she takes a break from her Formation world tour.

Already this summer the Lemonade creator has been snapped twinning with Blue Ivy in Paris, looking smitten with Jay Z in Hawaii and getting stuck into a pint of Guinness in our very own Dublin.

When Queen Bey's Lemonade landed earlier this summer, the world had an absolute field day over Becky with the good hair.

Fingers couldn't point fast enough as the public accused various high-profile women of being the one with the lusturious locks and access to a cell phone, but it turns out we were all wasting our time.

And even Bey's dad was waaaay off the mark – good one, Mathew.

Recently opening up about those infamous lyrics contained within Sorry, Diana Gordon – the track's main writer – scoffed at the notion it was targeting any one female in particular.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Diana – who is better known as Wynter – said: "I was like, ''In what day and age from that lyric do you get all of this information? Is it really telling you all that much, accusing people."

Reflecting on the uproar the song caused upon release earlier this year, she remembers being stunning, saying: "I laughed, like this is so silly. Where are we living?"

Acknowledging that the track has grown legs and gained so much more publicity than she anticipated, she added: "The idea started in my mind but it's not mine anymore. It was very funny and amusing to me to watch it spread over the world."

But before you think it was all a storm in a teacup, it sounds like the themes of the album really do reflect Beyoncé's real-life experience, with Wynter admitting: "With Beyoncé, I feel like the songs we worked on were specifically for her."

So, if we're with Wynter on this one, Becky was no one in particular, but technically there WAS a Becky.

Gotcha.
