Just hours after she hosted the Billboard Music Awards in Vegas for the second consecutive year, Clarkson underwent surgery to get her appendix removed, according to Entertainment Tonight.

The Broken & Beautiful singer tweeted a message to her fans confirming the news on Thursday, saying she had "broken down in tears after the show from pain" and was flown home the second the ceremony wrapped.

"Thanks to all the amazing people at Cedars-Sinai, I flew home directly after the event, nailed the surgery early this morning and feeling awesome now! Bye bye appendix," she wrote. 

She shared that she underwent the procedure at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles straight away on Thursday morning but is feeling great.

Clarkson is returning to The Voice in just a few days for Monday’s live show, according to Entertainment Tonight, so she doesn't seem to rest easily.

The American Idol winner opened the BBMAs by singing a medley of songs nominated at the awards show, including Maroon 5's Girls Like You, The Middle by Zedd, J Balvin's I Like It and more. Her talk show is also premiering on NBC in September.

You never would have known that she was in such intense pain, how does she do it? We stan a badass queen.

The Beyhive is buzzing, to say the least.

Taylor Swift opened the Billboard Music Awards last night with her new single, ME!. It was a colourful occasion, with Brendon Urie of Panic! at the Disco by her side.

Taylor began the performance with a drumline, which SOME fans online are comparing to Beyoncé's iconic Homecoming show at Coachella.

Part of the Beyhive are throwing some major shade online right now;

"TAYLOR SWIFT JUST BIT TF OUTTA BEYONCÉ" is a fairly extreme example, but others are saying that Taylor may have added the drumline on purpose to …drum…up some tasty drama and get everyone talking about her new song. 

She is a marketing genius after all, let's not forget the entire Reputation build-up. Girl's got game.

One fan even called it 'gentrification':

Others are defending Swift's choice to include a marching band, pointing out that Beyoncé was not the first and won't be the last performer to include one;

"Madonna did the marching band first." The marching band on stage was actually first seen back in 1907, so, you know…not at Coachella last year…

Though, timing is everything. Taylor may have known that this would cause some smoke to breathe into the industry's air if she added the band TWO WEEKS after Homecoming hit Netflix.  *strokes beard*

We have to wonder: WWBS? (What would Beyoncé say?)

Others are pointing out that TayTay gets served a LOT of sh*t in the media, and that nothing good ever comes from comparing two powerful, successful women with VERY different musical styles.

Try telling the Beyhive that….we're still reading the Tweets though aren't we? They're gas.

*Sighs*
Beyoncé's Homecoming changed pop culture forever and ever Amen, so it's no wonder people can't seem to stop talking about it.

We're sure Taylor is doing her best to ignore the internet furore, or maybe she's delighted that her performance is now trending on Twitter?

Like we said; She's a genius.

The Billboard Music Awards went down this weekend, and the celebs have finally finished polishing their awards and have gotten around to uploading their drop-dead gorgeous red carpet looks to social media.

Uh-oh, nobody wants an unhappy Kanye.

As if Kendall and Kylie getting booed while introducing him wasn't bad enough, the singer is not impressed by his performance at the Billboard Music Awards being completely censored. 

Anyone watching noticed he could not be heard for long periods of time during his performance of All Day and Black Skinhead, and he was also overpowered by large amounts of smoke.

Kanye's rep has now released a statement defending the star.

"Kanye West was grossly over-censored at Billboard Music Awards," they said. 

"Non-profane lyrics such as 'with my leather black jeans on' were muted for over 30-second intervals. As a result, his voice and performance were seriously misrepresented."

They concluded: "It is ridiculous that in 2015, unwarranted censorship is something that artists still have to fight against. Although West was clearly set up to face elements beyond his control during the live broadcast, he would like to apologize to the television audience who were unable to enjoy the performance the way he envisioned." 

It's okay Kanye, we forgive you.

ABC and the show producer Dick Clark Productions have not yet responded to Kanye's comments.

We know things are probably pretty awks between Harry Styles and Taylor Swift, but you wouldn't think this would stop Harry attending a party with his One Direction band members, Ed Sheeran and probably dozens of other A-list celebs.

Oh, but it did.

After winning, erm, well pretty much every award at the Billboard Music Awards, Taylor Swift threw an after party for all her famous friends.

After being publicly loved-up with her new boyfriend Calvin Harris, the singer was prepared to let go of any bad blood between her and ex-boyfriend Harry.

However, Harry seemed to have different ideas. Even though all of One Direction were invited, Louis and Niall were the only ones that attended. And it has been revealed that Harry did turn down the invite.

A source told HollywoodLife.com: "They have a good mutual friend in Ed Sheeran who has been trying to get all of them together to hang out. Ed doesn’t see any reason for them all not to be friends. He invited all of the One Direction boys and wanted Harry to join in, but Harry knew it would be awkward so he decided against it.”

And while Taylor was heartbroken over her split with Harry, we're sure she's delighted that he probably inspired many of the songs that won her the awards and now she is completely smitten with Calvin. 

A source also said: “She was over the moon that Harry was there to witness how crazy she and Calvin are for each other. First of all, she was able to show Harry that, yes, she’s completely over him. Second, Calvin rocks her world, more than Harry ever did or could.”

Instead of the party, Harry flew back to Los Angeles from Las Vegas.

Guessing they're not out of the woods then…

Ever since Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris were first spotted together back in March, we've been waiting for them to officially confirmed their relationship.

The pair have been spotted holding hands a few times, and Calvin's even braved a severe cat hair allergy to hang out with Taylor's feline pals, but until now that's about as far as the rumoured romance has gone.

Now though, the pair have openly addressed things for the first time, getting seriously cosy at last night's Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas. Taylor took home a whopping eight awards on the night, and was quick to show her happiness by leaning in for a kiss and a hug with her new man on more than one occasion.

According to Us Weekly, the singer got up and chatted to numerous friends during the show's commercial breaks, and introduced Calvin to pals including Hailee Steinfeld, Nick Jonas and others.

Calvin definitely passed the "suitable boyfriend" test by getting pally with Taylor's bestie Ed Sheeran, who sat next to the pair during the show.

We sense a serious bromance here:

Sources close to Taylor say that she is smitten with Calvin, and that the pair make a great team. "They're making time for each other in a way that other guys she's been with haven't before," an an insider told Us Weekly. "They're taking it one step at a time."

The Shake It Off singer opened up about her dating woes in a recent interview with Glamour US, saying the media refused to allow her to have a normal love life like any other twenty-something.

"I think the media has sent me a really unfair message over the past couple of years, which is that I’m not allowed to date for excitement, or fun, or new experiences or learning lessons," she admitted. "I’m only allowed to date if it’s for a lasting, multiple-year relationship. Otherwise I’m a, quote, ‘serial dater’. Or, quote, ‘boy crazy.’"

We're delighted to see things working out for her.

The stars were out in force in Las Vegas last night for the 2015 Billboard Awards, and One Direction's Harry Styles definitely gave viewers something to look at.

One Direction were at the awards as a foursome, for one of their first red carpet appearances since Zayn Malik's shock departure from the band at the end of March.

Showing that they're still going strong with one man down, the lads scooped the first award of the night for Top Duo/Group, but it was Harry Style's reaction that really got people talking.

After One Direction were announced as the winner of the award, Niall hopped up from his seat to let his bandmates out ahead of him. In this video published by TMZ, Harry is seen jumping up and grabbing Niall by the balls before heading to the stage:

Ever the professional, Niall laughs off the no-doubt painful move and continues to hug the other lads. But we bet he's already plotting how to get his own back…

They may be moving on as a foursome, but Niall, Harry, Liam and Louis were sure to pay tribute to their former bandmate as they accepted their award. 

"This is absolutely incredible and an incredible honour," Horan told the crown, with Liam adding, "There's one more person to share this award with — and that's our brother Zayn."

We're glad to see there seems to be no hard feelings any more, especially given the worrying Twitter exchange last week in which Zayn warned Louis to stop making "bitchy comments" about his life.

We hope they can all stay pals in the future…

Kylie Jenner is never one to shy away from showing off her body, but she revealed on social media that even she struggles to stay positive about her image all of the time.

The 17-year-old is known for her many, many Instagram selfies and body-baring shots, but she posted a photo with a difference yesterday.

Sharing an image of herself at a photoshoot in a black one-piece swimsuit as she got some last minute touch-ups from make-up artists, Kylie wrote, "behind the scenes. (yes I gained weight there I said it so u don’t have too) :)"

While we love her "f**k you" attitude towards any potential body shamers, it seems Kylie reconsidered the caption, as she later edited it to say only, "behind the scenes."

Kylie has spoken about her figure before, saying she is lucky to have her Dad Bruce's good genes, but that she will have to start looking after her body soon.

"My mom always has so many sweets and so much candy around the house," the teen said in a recent interview. "I eat so bad right now… I eat so many sweets and so much candy but it's the Bruce Jenner genes. I have to start working out very soon."

Whatever she might have been feeling earlier in the day, Kylie looked downright incredible later that evening, as she walked the red carpet at the Billboard Music Awards.

Wearing a long-sleeved Balmain minidress with a cinched-in gold belt and sky-high gladiator heels, the youngest Jenner sister seemed as fierce as ever.

After promoting her upcoming Bad Blood video all week via social media, Taylor Swift finally debuted it at the Billboard Music Awards last night.

The singer definitely called in a few favours from friends, as the video's star-studded female cast is like nothing we've ever seen before.

As well as Taylor's BFFs Lena Dunham, Selena Gomez, Lily Aldridge, Cara Delevingne, Ellie Goulding, Gigi Hadid and Karlie Kloss, the video also featured Hailee Steinfeld, Ellen Pompeo, Zendaya, Hayley Williams, Jessica Alba, Cindy Crawford and more. With a badass Sin City feel, this video is a change from the norm for the pop singer.

Taylor teased the video's cast via Instagram and Twitter last week, sharing film noir style posters featuring each star along with their sassy alter ego name, from 'Knockout' for Karlie Kloss to 'Slay-Z' for Gigi Hadid.

This is beyond sweet.

John Legend made his wife, model Chrissy Teigan, cry at last night’s Billboard Music Awards.

The singer was performing a beautiful rendition of his song All Of Me when the camera caught Chrissy looking overcome with emotion.

His words at the beginning of the song would be enough to have us in tears as he explains he always thinks his wife is perfect, even before the make-up and fancy clothes.

We bet she’s heard this song thousands of times, and she’s still brought to tears, we can’t even.

Oh no. It looks like Robin Thicke hasn’t given up on Paula Patton quite yet.

Which is all very sweet – if he was wooing her in private.

The singer took to the stage at last night’s Billboard Awards and sang an emotional rendition of Get Her Back.

The lyrics were very much aimed at Paula, as Robin had pointed this out at a concert weeks previously.

While the music was upbeat and Robin threw his best moves, he knelt down on stage towards the end of the song and it all went a little weird.

Robin also thanked Paula in his acceptance speech for winning Top R&B Song for Blurred Lines: “Most importantly I’d like to thank my wife for her love and support and for putting up with me all these years.”
