As anyone with a Twitter account will know, the Internet is a hypersensitive environment at the best of times.

But for an A-list celebrity with links to the most high-profile divorce of the decade, the realm of social media is an aggravated minefield waiting for its next victim.

While attempting to comment on the US presidential race over the weekend, Justin Theroux inadvertently criticised his wife’s ex-husband, Brad Pitt, and in doing so drew the wrath of the web onto himself.

After posting a shot of some Berlin street art – which happens to contain the words “F*ck Brad Pitt” – to his Instagram account, the American Psycho star was forced to deny any intention of wrongdoing.

Since sharing the image, the 45-year-old director has added a lengthily hashtag which claims the post is not shading anyone because he is “not eleven years old”.

With a hashtag like “andNOthispostisNOT‘shading’anyonebecauseimnotelevenyearsoldimeanseriously” we think Justin has proved his point in the most grown-up way possible.

Brad Pitt reportedly spent some time with his children last weekend.

It was the first time he saw any of his kids following his split from Angelina Jolie on September 19.

This comes just as it is claimed that the actor looks set to be cleared of any child abuse allegations.

According to The Mirror, Brad and Angie have reached an agreement and the FBI chiefs investigating Brad think there is no case.

"The Bureau's official position is they are still fact-gathering, though they are not calling it an investigation.

"Behind the scenes, we're told the case will go nowhere."

We hope the whole family are doing well.

And it seems the pop princess’ spree of televised entertainment is not over yet, as she has just confessed to crushing on Brad Pitt on Australia’s Today Show.

While taking part in a game of ‘Question Roulette’, the 34-year-old singer admitted that the Allied actor was her first celebrity crush, before quickly remarking with a smile that he is “single now”.

This isn’t the first time Britney has made her interest in Brad known, as back in 2005 she joked that he must be thinking about her after news of his divorce with Jennifer Aniston broke.

With divorce proceedings now well underway between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, the focus has turned to the care of their six children, following the revelation that Jolie is keen to obtain full custody.

According to entertainment site TMZ, the former couple have agreed to a temporary custody deal which will grant the Girl, Interrupted star full physical custody of Maddox, Pax, Shiloh, Zahara, Knox and Vivienne.

The deal, passed by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, is reportedly only set to last for three weeks. After that period, it can be overturned or amended.

Under the agreement, Pitt will have visitation rights to his six children. These visits are set to be monitored by a therapist, and he will also have to undergo random drug and alcohol testing.

In addition, Pitt and Jolie will reportedly have to attend counselling sessions. Their children will also be in attendance for special family counselling sessions.

The latest update to the story comes just days after Pitt cancelled a scheduled red carpet appearance so he could "focus on a family situation."

Let’s hope matters can be kept amicable, at least for the sake of the children.

It’s been just over a week since Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from her partner of 12 years, Brad Pitt.

And while Brad has already addressed their shock breakup by admitting that he is “very saddened” by the situation, last night he issued a statement to explain why he will not be attending the screening of a documentary he narrated called Voyage of Time.

The Fight Club star told E! that while he is proud to have been involved with the production, he does not want to distract attention away from the film by making an appearance.

The 52-year-old said: “Terrence [Malick]'s Voyage of Time is an incredibly beautiful and unique experiential IMAX film for children and families chronicling the birth of time.”

“I'm very grateful to be part of such a fascinating and educational project, but I'm currently focused on my family situation and don't want to distract attention away from this extraordinary film, which I encourage everyone to see.”

By highlighting his desire to focus on his family, this announcement echoes a previous statement by the actor in which he said “what matters most now is the wellbeing of our kids”.

In the wake of Angelina Jolie’s shock divorce filing, the Internet reacted as appropriately as expected by sharing memes, GIFs and videos of Brad’s ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston.

But while the Mother’s Day actress has remained tight-lipped on the high profile split, her good friend and former co-star Courteney Cox has come forward to ask people to leave Jen out of the Brangelina drama.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the Cougar Town star said Brad’s marriage trouble has nothing to do with her 47-year-old friend.

“It’s not about her,” she said.  “I feel like we’re exacerbating it by even talking about it.”

Jen’s current partner, Justin Theroux, issued a similar message recently when he said the very inclusion of his wife’s name in the Brangelina divorce commentary is “nonsense”.

During an interview with Business Insider, he said: “There are bigger things to b*tch about.”

“It's shocking how much bandwidth things can take up when there are far more important things going on in the world.”

“As a child of divorce, all I can say is, that's terrible news for those children and that's all you can really say,” he continued.

“It's boring to comment on anything else. People are having a bad time – that's horrible.”

It was the explosive celebrity breakup that no one saw coming. And in the immediate aftermath of Brangelina's high-profile split, Khloe Kardashian has firmly aligned herself to #TeamBrad.

Indeed, the reality TV star has sensationally admitted that she has a major crush on the Oscar-nominated actor.

If anyone knows what it's like to go through a high-profile separation, it's Johnny Depp.

And now the actor, whose split from Amber Heard made headlines all over the world, has been offering advice to Angelina Jolie in the aftermath of her divorce announcement last Tuesday.

The stars, who performed opposite each other in The Tourist back in 2010, have kept in close contact, and it looks like Angelina has put a lot of trust in the Pirates of the Caribbean star.

"Angelina idolised Johnny for years before she worked with him on The Tourist, and then the pair of them really hit it off on set," a source told The Sun.

According to insiders, Johnny sought solace in their friendship during his media storm earlier this year, and is keen to advise Angelina during this time.

"The two of them have stayed in touch ever since then, and spoke regularly during the storm that surrounded Johnny’s break up with Amber."

The Maleficent actress turned to the actor's attorney in recent weeks, with the source adding: "They have been speaking about the situation, and Angelina hired Johnny’s lawyer to represent her based on the advice that he has given her."

The news will surely come as a blow to Brad who is reportedly holding out hope for a reconciliation, with a source close to the former couple revealing:"It's a very tricky time for the family but Brad hasn't given up hope yet."

This week is going from bad to worse for Brad Pitt, but it looks like he might have an unlikely ally in his ex-wife.

Following rumours that the award-winning actor had been accused of child abuse, Jennifer Aniston has reportedly expressed disbelief over the allegations.

According to a source close to the former Friends star, Jennifer has no time for the reports which suggest her ex-husband was physically and verbally abusive towards his children.

"Jen Aniston doesn’t believe for a second that Brad is abusive to those kids," an insider told HollywoodLife.

"It breaks her heart to hear those kinds of accusations being thrown around," the insider continued. "She may not love everything Brad did in their relationship but she knows he’s not capable of doing anything so horrible."

While Jen, no doubt, has her own opinion of her ex following their shock split more than a decade ago, the actress maintains that Brad is not guilty of the reports currently doing the rounds online.

“Brad at his core is a good man. He has flaws like anyone else but hurting his kids isn’t one of them." the insider added.

And it looks like Jennifer may be onto something as the LAPD have recently confirmed that thr rumours are without merit.

LAPD Officer Jenny Houser recently told CNN "LAPD is not handling any report of allegations of child abuse for Mr. Brad Pitt."

In shocking breaking news from the US, it is being reported an LAPD and social services investigation into Brad Pitt for child abuse is what lead to the breakdown of his second marriage. 

TMZ – which also broke the news of Angelina Jolie's decision to divorce her partner of 12 years – says it has learned that on a flight last week Mr Pitt, 52, "went wild, screaming and getting physical with the kids". 

"Brad Pitt is under investigation by the LAPD and LA County Dept Of Children And Family Services for allegedly getting verbally abusive and physical with his children," the website states.

It goes on to claim that the Jolie-Pitt family were on a private jet last Wednesday when "he allegedly got wasted". 

"We're told the plane landed at an airport around 8pm, and witnesses say Pitt continued his rant on the tarmac," TMZ continues. 

Afterwards, a witness anonymously reported the incident to family services authorities. 

"We're told Brad and Angelina have already been interviewed," TMZ says, adding that the children will be also be interviewed and that the investigation is "ongoing". 

It is believed that this incident is what specifically triggered Ms Jolie, 41, to separate from her husband the following day and file for divorce just days later.

However, a source close to Brad tells TMZ: "He takes the matter very seriously and says he did not commit any abuse of his children."

If news of the divorce and alleged affair wasn't enough to contend with this week, reports are now emerging that Brad Pitt is under investigation after becoming verbally and physically abusive with his children.

According to TMZ, Brad's conduct during a flight last Wednesday was the catalyst for Angelina's decision to file for a divorce.

Speaking to the website, a source close to the high-profile family revealed that Brad became intoxicated while on a private jet and began screaming and manhandling his children.

Reports claim that the 53-year-old actor did not calm down upon landing and continued his tirade on the tarmac before attempting to leave in one of the airport's fuel trucks.

It is understood that an individual who witnessed Brad's behaviour contacted the L.A County Department of Children and Family Services who have since interviewed Brad and Angelina in connection with the incident.

Commenting on the reports, a source close to the actor insists Brad understands the severity of the situation.

"He takes the matter very seriously and says he did not commit any abuse of his children," they explained 

Defending the star against media backlash this week, the insider added: "It's unfortunate that people involved are continuing to present him in the worst possible light."

After learning of Angelina Jolie’s divorce plans, we were hit with a tide of speculation suggesting that her split from Brad Pitt was down to alleged infidelity with his Allied co-star, Marion Cotillard.

The scandal intensified yesterday when reports emerged that the 40-year-old French actress was pregnant, and the allegations moved her to finally speak out in the past few hours.

In a candid post on her Instagram account, Marion began: “This is going to be my first and only reaction to the whirlwind news that broke 24 hours ago and that I was swept up into. I am not used to commenting on things like this nor taking them seriously, but as this situation is spiralling and affecting people I love, I have to speak up.”

Referring to her former co-star and partner of nine years, Guillaume Canet, Cotillard wrote: “Many years ago, I met the man of my life, father of our young son and of the baby we are expecting. He is my love, my best friend, the only one that I need.”

Cotillard, who is already mother to five-year-old son Marcel with Canet, went on to thank those who acknowledged her ‘devastation’ over the rumours, and wished a ‘swift recovery’ to ‘the media and the haters who are quick to pass judgment’.
