Why some fans were NOT happy with Little Mix’s BRIT performance
While no one can deny that Little Mix slayed their big performance at the BRITs last night, some viewers were not impressed by one aspect of the show.
The foursome performed their hit single Black Magic and many viewers were quick to point out that the girls were obviously miming the chorus.
Little mix are blatantly miming and it's so tragic

I'm furious Little Mix are miming the chorus. Almost as mad as I was when the Spice Girls didn't

Is there an award for miming? I bet Little Mix are nominated 🙂

While each member sang their section of the verses, it seems that the band mimed the choruses to allow for a complex dance routine.
The British girlband were also joined on stage by intricately decorated, oversized skull for their high-energy performance.
Associated with Mexico's Day of the Dead celebrations, the Calavera (also known as a sugar skull) is traditionally used as a decoration during the festivities which celebrate the lives of loved ones who have passed away.
While sugar skulls have become increasingly common in pop culture, certain viewers were still offended by it's use in the performance.
Why did Little Mix have to have a sugar skull in their performance though?

The sugar skull means so much to my culture & for @LittleMix to use it for fashion pisses me off to another level. #BRITs2016 little mix

— lu (@mwayIand) February 24, 2016
lowkey upset that little mix went with the whole sugar skull thing cuz they are better than appropriation but it was still a bang up show
