She might be more at home onstage in skintight dresses, but Britney Spears was the picture of elegance at an appearance in Germany yesterday.

The star was there for the European launch of her new lingerie range, The Intimate Collection.

Sporting a sleek short bob, Britney was almost unrecognisable, looking every bit the hard-hitting businesswoman. 

A beautiful crisp white suit and lace top set off her new hairdo.

The recently single Brit appeared to be in great form yesterday – we bet her cheating ex David Lucado was kicking himself!

Perfect sophistication!

The singer will no doubt be putting the hair extensions back in soon though, as her Piece of Me concert residency in Las Vegas starts up again in early October. As for the lingerie collection, at first glance there are some lovely pieces that would be great for larger-breasted women…

And of course the obligatory sexy suspenders!

Hmm… not sure about those, but otherwise a job well done, Brit!

Britney Spears was on Entertainment Tonight last night when she was asked if she and her Crossroads co-star Zoe Saldana would do another film together. Without thinking, Britney replied:

“Who knows? That’s a very good idea. But she’s pregnant with twins right now. So I'm sure she's got a huge future ahead of her.”

Though it was rumoured that Zoe was expecting twins, the actress hadn’t yet confirmed the news herself – and now she doesn’t have to, so at least that’s one thing of her to-do list!

We didn’t realise that the two stars were still friends, though Zoe did rush to Britney’s defence when an un-edited track of her song Alien was leaked. She spoke about Britney on a talk show, saying:

“She was the one big, big celebrity that I met when I was starting to work in Hollywood who literally was humble.

“I do believe that people and children gravitate to good energy, and she's definitely an abundance of that.

“I'm pretty sure that 80 per cent of our musical artists would be mortified if they were caught singing without auto-tune.”

Awh, that’s nice. Though she didn’t exactly stress that Britney CAN actually sing, she was just warming up her voice so some such excuse, so maybe this was Britney’s payback!

Fans of Britney Spears – this is not a drill!

Brit gave us some definitive proof that she's back in the recording studio with this Instagram pic yesterday, posing with headphones on and what appeared to be lyrics in front of her.

The caption on the picture read, "Studio today! Yay!"

Yay is RIGHT, Britney! If only we could squint enough to see the words on the lyric sheet! We're guessing the new album, if indeed there is one, will have a fair few break up/revenge songs on it, as Brit has been very vocal recently about her cheating ex-boyfriend David Lucado.

The singer finishes up her ongoing Las Vegas show, Piece of Me, next February, which would be the perfect time to start an album tour… watch this space!

In a twist familiar to many, many episodes of Friends, Britney’s ex boyfriend has gone all Ross Geller on us as he claims he didn’t cheat on Britney because they were on a break. For two days. 

Britney confirmed the news that David Lucado, her boyfriend of almost two years had cheated on her while on stage in Las Vegas, announcing: “Well, by now everyone knows by boyfriend cheated on me. But the best part of breaking up is going on first dates.”

We can’t say we agree with her there but we do love her upbeat attitude – you go girl! 

A video of David allegedly kissing another woman was bought by Britney's dad who then showed his daughter, which is totally bizarre if you think about it…

Poor Britney, she just can’t catch a break.

It has been confirmed that the star has broken up with her boyfriend David Lucado after a video surfaced which showed him “making out with a woman and dancing with her”.

Britney confirmed the break-up yesterday with this tweet:

Her representative also confirmed the split saying: “Yes, she’s single.”

We’re so disappointed for Britney, she really seemed to be happy this time around, and often gushed about her beau (who works at a law firm, by the way) on various talk shows:

“I'm in love. I like the fact that [Lucado is] very stubborn and he's stuck in his ways. He's just a simple man. I adore him. He's really funny and he's really passionate. I love the fact that anything he's involved in he's passionate about and it's contagious.”

David is said to still be holding out hope for a reconciliation. A representative said: “David is very, very in love with Britney. This is unfortunate and he hopes that it all works out.”

UNFORTUNATE? Well, that’s one word for it. We can think of a few more too, but instead, we will just add Dave to the long list of Britney’s exes, including:

Justin Timberlake – we’re still not quite over this one

Robbie Carrico (he was in a boy band called Boyz-N-Girlz United)

Jared Leto (Cameron Diaz’s ex, and Cameron was dating Justin at the time… revenge?)

Colin Farrel – the Irish charm!

The guy she married in Vegas, AKA Jason Allen Alexander

Kevin Federline (she married him too)

Adnan Ghalib (a paparazzo, who Britney had to get a restraining order against when it was all over)

Her agent, Jason Trawick. They seemed really good together, but it all ended last year. Perhaps they’ll be reunited now?!

Aaand, here we go again!

Britney Spears has been accused of lip-synching during a performance at her Las Vegas show.

The singer was caught out when a fan uploaded a video of Britney singing the song Perfume, which was written by Sia.

However, it sounds like Sia did a lot more than just write the song, as many are claiming the vocals you can hear are actually that of the Australian singer/songwriter, and not Britney’s…

Unfortuntely for Britney, this is far from being the first embarrassing situation with regards to her singing. Just recently, an un-autotuned version of Alien was leaked, and let's just say, it's baaaad. Here's a reminder: 

We think if any other singer did this we would be outraged, but it's Britney, and we love her anyway.

Kanye West is being very, well Kanye West again!

During a deposition hearing for the case against him in which he damaged a photographer’s camera, the rapper has been reported by TMZ as saying: “I’m the smartest celebrity you’ve ever f***ing dealt with. I’m not Britney Spears.”

Did he seriously just go there?!

There is really no need for Kanye to compare himself to Britney, and especially in such a negative light.

We love Brit here and it’s good to see her doing so well after a few hard years so we hope she doesn’t let Kanye knock her.

Surely by now Britney Spears has enough money to just lay back and enjoy herself? But as she says herself, you gotta work, b*tch.

The singer revealed yesterday that she is releasing a line of intimate apparel for her fans. The line will include lingerie sets, vintage style bustiers, kimonos, and loungewear and will be released in conjunction with Change Lingerie. Apparently the products will have a very feminine look, with crochet edges, satin ribbons and lace trim used throughout.

She shared the news on Twitter with a promotional photo which showed her wearing some of the lingerie, saying: “Coming very soon… The Intimate Collection, by yours truly. Just a peek at what's to come. Xo”

She also said in a statement: “"Every woman should feel confident and beautiful in everything she puts on. My vision for The Intimate Britney Spears is to create pieces that are sexy, luxurious, and comfortable at the same time. I am excited to introduce this collection because I feel that we accomplished exactly that.”

Her collection will be released in Europe on September 26th – we can’t wait!
