X Factor duo Josh Brooks and Kyle Brooks have been suspended from the opening X Factor live show following allegations that Josh attacked his ex-girlfriend. 

According to Amelia Clarke, the 17-year-old singer was abusive throughout their four-year relationship. 

The 18-year-old claimed she was left with black eyes and a broken nose on more than one occasion. 

"I was constantly lying about where my bruises had come from. The worst time was last year" the Sun on Sunday reported this morning. 

Josh was due to appear on last night's live X Factor show alongside his brother Kyle.

Josh has strenuously denied his former girlfriend's allegations. 

X Factor bosses are now investigating claims that Josh was abusive and that he sent threatening messages to her.
