Love Island star Maura Higgins isn't one to withhold vital information, including about shenanigans from the Spanish villa that she may have caused.
The reality star has fast become a fan favourite due to her frank and honest nature, though she has now admitted to skirting around the rules to get some extra wine. Mad respect.
"I should never tell, but I'm gonna…" she revealed during an Instagram Q&A after an appearance on The Late Late Show last Friday night.
"Some nights you get one glass of wine, some nights you get two, you either get a choice of beer or wine, I always choose wine," Maura explained.
"One night I went into the larder where the drinks get prepared and there's like a water dispenser there. I went in before everyone else and I downed everyone's wine and I filled it up with water.
"And I got in really big trouble. The whole island got punished the following night because I got really drunk. I shouldn't have probably said that. I'll get in big trouble now!"
We can relate to the struggle of craving some vino, especially if we were on a stressful reality show fighting off other gals to find love.
The Longford native has also divulged on other behind-the-scenes secrets from the reality show, admitting that some scenes were reshot.
"Yeah, we did re-shoot," Maura said. "Just say, for instance, if a text came through and you weren't loud enough or if you stumbled on your words, you'd have to re-take obviously."
While Love Island's Amber Gill may not seem to have any luck on the reality show when it comes to finding a proper gentleman (bye, Greg), it seems as though she's already moving on.
The Geordie beautician may have been left shocked by Greg O'Shea's brutal text where he called time on their romance just five weeks after winning the ITV2 show, she seems to be getting back on the horse.
The stunning winner appeared at last night's TV Choice Awards and by the end of the night was spotted looking cosy with I'm A Celebrity star Malique Thompson-Dwyer at the after-party.
The beautician seemed to be getting along well with Malique, cuddling on the sofa while she sported a one-shouldered multi-coloured metallic dress with a thigh-high slash.
An eyewitness told Mirror Online: "Amber and Malique were clearly flirting with each other – there was loads of eye contact between them.
"They looked like a great match and even got out their phones as if they were swapping numbers. At one point they seemed to be close to kissing, before Jamie Lomas interrupted and started talking to his co-star. Amber looked annoyed when another girl came over and took Malique's attention off her."
The former beauty therapist had appeared on Loose Women to discuss the breakdown of her romance with Irish hunk Greg that same day, so it must have been a rough time for her.
"So from my point of view I still wanted to make it work. There was a call a few days prior just chatting, not specifically to do with that.
"I think there was a bit of miscommunication but I think if you don't want to be with someone, you don't want to be with someone," she added.
"Basically all I wanted was a bit of effort from him to come to London or Newcastle to see me. I said I'm going to have to give up if you don't put the effort in. He said 'okay bye'. I was expecting it to be a bit different."
Amber made sure to compliment Greg (he doesn't deserve it..): "He's a lovely guy but I'm not sure what’s going to happen in the future really. It's a bit of an odd situation," the 22-year-old said.
"The Islanders in from the beginning were naive to people going in later on and what people's perceptions were and what were being said. I didn't really think of that at the time."
An ex-Love Island star was caught in possession of the drug ketamine and is now facing a potential jail sentence when she visits court next month.
Bethany Rodgers was a contestant on the ITV2 show back in 2015, and pleaded guilty to possessing 134mg of the Class B drug after she was caught with it last year.
A maximum sentence of five years in prison is carried by the offence, but Rodgers may escape the full sentence if she admitted possession.
Appearing at Bradford magistrates court, 23-year-old Bethany admitted possession but didn't enter a plea for another charge of allegedly using thousands of pounds of criminal cash to buy a car.
The Sun reports that the former reality star possibly used the money to purchase an Audi A3 and is alleged to have "acquired, used or had possession of criminal property, namely £16,500" to buy the vehicle.
Rodgers is due to appear at Bradford crown court next month and is currently on bail.
Bethany appeared for just one week on Love Island, having entered the villa alongside Max Morley, and quickly became involved in drama among the girls.
She failed to couple up with anyone and was dumped from the Island just days after her explosive arrival on the show, and hasn't been sighted much since.
Love Island 2019 winners Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea have reportedly broken up after only five weeks, and we're already campaigning for Amber's justice.
22-year-old Geordie beautician Amber was supposed to fly to Ireland tonight to see the rugby player, but The Sun is reporting that 24-year-old Greg has split with Amber over busy schedules.
Now, bear in mind that anything The Sun says must be taken with a pinch of salt, but a 'source' told the publication;
"Amber feels used by Greg. He was always aware of the distance and his career in their relationship, and yet he chose to seek out Amber in the villa knowing there would always be the distance."
"He hasn’t made any effort to come to London to see Amber, despite it being over five weeks, it’s always Amber who had to make the effort."
Amber was apparently 'devastated' by the cruel-hearted dumping, although she 'had a feeling' that things were gradually coming to an end. BY TEXT THOUGH? Greg, we thought you were different.
The Newcastle beauty wrote on Instagram just two days ago; "My babes. Squinty squinterson. Miss ya" alongside a photo of Greg, although Greg last posted an Instagram picture of her on August 18.
The couple were scheduled to appear on The Late Late Show tonight with fellow islander Maura Higgins.
The pair were the shock winners of the fifth series of Love Island after being coupled up for only 12 days, deciding to share the £50,000 prize.
Soon-to-be-solicitor Greg was a late arrival and charmed Amber after she was pied by Michael Griffiths, who chose to recouple with Joanna Chimonides in the Casa Amor twist.
The winners haven’t been seen much together due to the distance between Limerick and Newcastle.
Amber had visited Ireland only two weeks ago, with the couple going sightseeing at the Cliffs of Moher.
If the split is real, then Amber and Greg have the honour of being the fastest-winning couple to break up. We'll most likely discover the real story tonight, if they appear together on Ryan Tubridy's couch.
Great job, Greg. You've lost plenty of fans for losing Amber, she's an absolute gem. Ovie, any help?
Love Island 2019 star Belle Hassan appeared to confirm her feud with fellow Islander Molly-Mae Hague by skipping her star-studded PrettyLittleThing collaboration launch on Sunday night.
Molly-Mae was also absent from Belle's Lipstick and Champagne dinner party at STK in London, despite Amber Gill, Lucie Donlan and Anna Vakili all attending.
Belle's Love Island boyfriend Anton Danyluk was also missing from Molly-Mae's PLT party in Manchester, as was surfer gal Lucie Donlan.
Maura Higgins, Amber and Anna were all in attendance along with ex-Islanders Olivia Attwood and Gabby Allen.
The 20-year-old Instagram model had a disagreement with Scottish gym owner Anton after he unfollowed her on social media.
Molly-Mae's feud with Anton and Belle began when herself and Tommy chose to eliminate the other couple from the ITV2 reality show just days before the pair finished as runners up.
Speaking to The Sun Online shortly after, 21-year-old Belle admitted she was "shocked" that Molly-Mae and Tommy were the only ones to vote for them to leave.
Love Island stars Maura Higgins and India Reynolds have both been announced as the new brand ambassadors for online retailer boohoo.
Collections from the ladies will drop later this year, but fans are tripping over themselves with excitement to use Maura and India's coveted discount codes.
The ranges are to be revealed from September onwards, with India's first collection available to shop in November.
Maura announced her new boohoo collection on Instagram this morning, and fans can even use her exclusive LOVEMAURA discount code for 25 percent off everything (excluding sale).
“I’m so proud of this opportunity I’ve been given by boohoo. It’s a brand that I’ve loved since I was a young girl so partnering up with them is a very surreal feeling for me and I’m so grateful," she wrote.
With two million Instagram followers loving Maura's style, and one million followers stealing India's wardrobe faves, this collection is sure to go down a treat.
India has already modelled for the retailer before entering the villa, and commented on her excitement to reunite with boohoo:
"I’m so excited to be back working with my boohoo family! Such a dream come true to be a brand ambassador for boohoo after modelling for them. I can’t wait to wear all the new trends!"
The two gorgeous brunettes seem like the perfect fit for the boohoo family, we can't wait to see what the collections bring to the fashion world.
We've all stalked Molly-Mae's lavish Instagram page, gasped at how fierce her wardrobe is and went straight onto the brand websites tagged by the Love Island influencer.
The reality star has officially launched her Molly-Mae x PrettyLittleThing collection, and it's everything you want and more. The newest brand ambassador curated the range, and it's selling out fast.
The fashionable runner up of the hit ITV show attended the launch party last night with all the Love Island girls, and boyfriend Tommy Fury firmly by her side.
PrettyLittleThing’s growing list of ambassadors includes Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, Malika Haqq, models Lori Harvey and Rose Bertram, reality TV star Natalie Halcro and wife of singer Miguel, Nazanin Mandi.
Molly-Mae became known on the Love Island scene for her killer fashion looks and Rapunzel hair-flip goals. She's hit the streets of Los Angeles to model her PLT must-have pieces, and…WOW.
The Insta guru rocks sleek statement suits, loungewear and off-duty denim, showing her followers how it's done. We simply have to stan.
The collection cultivates her own sense of style; a mixture of boss babe and comfortably cool.
PrettyLittleThing maintains its core offering of affordable fashion pieces for Molly-Mae x PLT, with prices ranging from €8- €50 and available in sizes 4 – 16.
Molly has always been a fan of the brand, and recently signed a major deal with the company worth £500,000.
Molly spoke about her excitement regarding the live collection;
“This is a brand I can only have ever dreamt of working with and to now have designed my own collection and to be an ambassador for PLT is the most exciting thing for me right now."
"I wanted to create a collection that all women can feel powerful in wearing, I hope you all love it as much as I do”
The Molly-Mae x PLT collection is currently available from yesterday via PrettyLittleThing’s website; shop your hearts out. It'll be sold out in hours so don't miss your chance to dress like the star herself.
How would you feel about staying in Casa Amor, the infamous Spanish hideaway from reality show Love Island?
It's the location where the most sh*t goes down in terms of heads getting turned, abandoning former partners and even cheating, but would you rent it?
It's now available to hire per week, but prices start at a whopping £5,503, rising to £8,630 pretty quickly. You can also buy the 'experience' couples package for an extra £998 per night.
You'd really want to be in love with someone to head to that special island, with prices like that.
The Villa Retreats website shows off the abode online, but we only saw a small slice of the lavish home on TV it seems.
The iconic pad showcases a tree-lined entrance, four double bedrooms, shower rooms with free-standing baths and five bathrooms.
Some lovely greenery, a luxury swimming area, a cosy indoor fire-side lounge, a massive kitchen and some risque artwork are also featured in the stunning villa.
TheSun.co.uk reports that the outdoors section has plush hedgerows and busts of naked women (lol). The numerous unclothed artworks can be removed upon request, which we have to laugh at.
The website proudly refers to the Majorca Villa taking part in ITV’s Love Island, on their website.
The special Love Island Package, which offers guests experiences guaranteed to make you feel ready to head to the firepit and couple up.
Date night activities, a private chef and concierge,as well as a romantic bed filled with rose petals is included in the package.
Breakfast in bed and a variety of yoga, personal training or spa sessions cost extra, but we reckon it's worth it. The offer ends in December 2020, so whip out the cash ASAP.
Love Island star Kaz Crossley has given fans an update on her boyfriend, former athlete and fellow reality star Theo Campbell, hours after he said he'd lost all vision in his right eye.
The 25-year-old shared an image of Theo wearing bandages over his eye while she snuggles up to him in his hospital bed.
Kaz wrote to her social media followers: “It’s been a hard 24 hours no one here speaks English and he was taken for hours at one point and I had no clue he was in surgery again.
"I’ve stayed in his room over night and just wanna take him home. He’s so brave and positive hopefully it will get better thanks for your kind messages," she added.
"I hope this will make people aware of the dangers at these parties and to be more careful."
Theo is now blind in one eye after a cork hit him in the eye at a Champagne spray party, with his eyeball freakishly splitting open.
The 28-year-old was rushed to hospital and has undergone two surgeries in Ibiza, but is now blind in his right eye. Theo confirmed the news and thanked Kaz for flying out to support him.
In an Instagram post, Theo wrote: “Thanks for all the messages and support I’ve got over the last couple days they’re all very much appreciated!"
I currently have 7 stitches in my eye (gross) and the doctors say it’s unlikely I’ll see properly again, they done a good job saving it as they said I might loose my whole eye to begin with. But Im hopeful and don’t want to believe my eye is gone forever. Anything is possible
“So yeah basically 2 eye surgeries later after a really unfortunate accident, I’ve lost all vision in my right eye as it got split in half, who would have thought a champagne cork would be the end of me…
"But I still have 1 eye left, looking at the bright side of things. Thanks for flying out to look after me as well babe. If anyone knows where sells cool eye patches let me know."
His Love Island friends reached out to him after his post, with Caroline Flack posting; “Sending love.”
Marcel Somerville said: “Ah bro sorry to hear this news, everything will be blessed, mad things happen in life but we roll with the punches. Man's just got a new niche fashion accessory to rock.”
Scott Thomas commented: “Thinking of you bro”, while Montana Brown wrote: “Sending all the love. your poor thing xx.”
Theo’s close friend Georgia Harrison wrote on her Instagram stories about Theo and Kaz, saying:
“Love then so much words couldn’t even describe. Get well soon. @theo_campbell91 and @kazcrossley you are the most amazing girlfriend. Thank god for you.”
She also commented under his Instagram post writing: “Love you more than anything in the world. Nothing will hold you back I promise xxxxxxxx.”
Just Wana say thanks again for all the love and support there’s been 100x more then I imagined I haven’t had a chance to read all the messages yet but they’re much appreciated
Sources have told OK! online that Theo’s bizarre accident happened at a Champagne spray party in Ibiza.
The insider said: “Theo was partying at the champagne spray party with sunglasses on, when some champagne got in his eye.
“He removed his glasses to rub the champagne out of his eye, when a cork flew into his eye. The cork was travelling really fast and Theo’s eyeball was split entirely open.
“It took a moment for people around Theo to realise what had happened, but people started screaming and panicking when they saw his eye."
“Poor Theo was in complete agony and it was just a total freak accident. He was rushed to hospital but sadly his vision couldn't be saved," they concluded.
Kaz wrote to her Instagam today about his medical treatments; “Got him back out of surgery what are u like babe,” followed by a heart emoji.
The pair began dating after her split from Josh Denzel, who she met in the villa last year. Theo left the villa without finding romance during his time.
None other than the Queen of Longford, Maura Higgins, will join Ryan Tubridy on the new season of The Late Late Show this week.
The Love Island star is set to join iconic singer Sinead O'Connor and hilarious comedian and actress Aisling Bea on the couch.
Ryan Tubridy revealed the opening episode features “a selection of people representing Ireland", telling RTE Guide;
“Sinead O’Connor, an icon; Aisling Bea, a new superstar knocking them out in the UK; and Maura Higgins from Love Island, a pop-culture phenomenon. It’s running the gamut, and that’s where The Late Late excels.”
"We’re also hoping to make a nod towards all the people who’ve served this country in uniform, which needs to be done. Just to say thanks. And where else can you do that, but on the Late Late."
Tubs has previously hinted that the Longford lass will join him on the sofa, saying to the Irish Mirror last week;
“I was watching it (Love Island) over the shoulders of youngsters no but like my feeling about that is even if you didn’t watch it, you know that even when it was going down the toilet and people were saying it was boring and it was the worst series of it, what did it take?"
“It took an Irish woman from Longford to change it all. She goes on and suddenly the show comes alive. And not even just that it was also won by an Irish man.”
This year will mark Tubridy's 11th year as host of the show;
“As of midnight when we get to the end of the show on September 6, I’ll be the second longest-serving host of the Late Late Show which is a strange mantel but a very big honour in my life.”
Maura is currently taking a break from her appearances at events after admitting via her Instagram stories that she's completely "shattered" and "burnt out".
Kid Creole's August Darnell spoke to Christine Lampard on Lorraine today, saying that he was completely against the idea of Savanna taking part.
He said: "I should point out that I paid her money to not go in to do Love Island.
"I said, 'I will pay you this amount of money if you don't do this show'. She said, 'I want to do it.' And I said, 'You're old enough to make your own decisions' and she did it."
He couldn't list all of the reasons why he didn't want her on the show; "That's a long story. If we had a longer time I would tell you all the reasons I was against her doing it."
"But as you say, she's an adult, she makes her own decisions, I just gave her my opinion."
Savanna posted a YouTube video on her experience as a Casa Amor participant earlier this year, referring to her time on the show as "horrific".
Apparently, she had originally been told she would be one of the first girls on the series, but was sent back to the UK after 10 days of isolation in a Mallorca hotel.
"I remember them saying 'Keep your bags packed, we’re going to call you very soon, you’ll be back before you know it', she said. "So I couldn’t take any jobs in case they call me and say you’re going on."
"I spent three weeks at home, doing absolutely nothing. I didn’t want to leave my bed and my mum was really worried about me."
Savanna said she began to get "stress spots" after one month of this experience, and put on weight because she was binge-eating after having weeks of no carbs.
She was eventually flown out to Love Island as one of the Casa Amor bombshells but left after just five days after failing to couple up with anyone.
She was shocked that scenes between her and Wes had been cut and that she had minimal screen time. She also experienced trolling and bullying online about her appearance and personality.
"I remember reading some horrible comments about how I was the ugliest Islander ever, that I should get breast cancer and die," she said. "That was a horrible time it my life, it was just horrendous."
Social media influencer and Love Island runner up Molly-Mae Hague has landed a huge £500,000 clothing deal with PrettyLittleThing.
The reality star came second on the show with boxer boyfriend Tommy Fury, and has been handed the biggest paycheck of this years' cast of Islanders yet.
The Irish Mirror report that the 20-year-old has signed a deal with the retailer to become their latest brand ambassador.
The star is currently in Los Angeles, taking part in photoshoots apparently for the brand.
The influencer is said to have dined out with PrettyLittleThing boss Umar Kamani, and is following in the footsteps of some names like Kourtney Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and Hailey Baldwin, by partnering with the brand.
A source told The Sun: "This is a huge deal not only for Molly-Mae, but PrettyLittleThing too. It’s one of their biggest collections to date."
"Molly-Mae had a huge following even before Love Island, so they were desperate to land her, whatever it cost."
Her boyfriend Tommy has clearly been pining for his girlfriend, showing his love for her to the world by commenting, "How can you be so perfect?" on her Instagram photos.
Fellow Islander Maura Higgins agreed, saying: "Exactly what @tommytntfury said". Molly-Mae looks set to rake in the most money in sponsorships so far, but Amber has already signed up for Dancing On Ice.
