When Adele sings, you stop and listen.

And when she lets rip at you, you definitely take heed… as one security guard at her recent Melbourne show learned.

In footage which is doing the rounds on Twitter today, the London-born singer interrupts her performance to tell a security guard to rein in the orders he was giving her audience.

"Excuse me sir,” she said. “I know you work here but can you please stop telling people to sit down?"

Reminding him that her fans were entitled to stand up and dance if they wanted, she added: "This is a music show, if people can’t see then they can stand up. And if you’re moaning about people dancing, then what the f*ck did you come to a show for?"

"If I see one more person being told to sit down, then I swear to God…” she added as the crowd cheered her on.

Unfortunately not everyone is with Adele on this one, with numerous Twitters users criticising the singer for unnecessarily embarrassing the guard.

"Great to see #Adele belittling and embarrassing a security guard for just doing his job," wrote one.

"B*llocks. If you want to dance go to a dance hall, not a concert. A seat is exactly what it says, a seat!" added another,

Hmmm…

While accepting the National Equality award at this year's Human Rights Campaign gala, Katy Perry revealed that a staunch anti-gay rhetoric had informed most of her childhood and adolescence.

Born into a conservative and religious family, Katy was taught from a young age that the LGBT community was something to fear.

"When I was growing up, homosexuality was synonymous with the word 'abomination' and 'hell'," she explained. "So most of my unconscious adolescence, I prayed the gay away at my Jesus camps."

During the impassioned speech supporting the gay community, the singer revealed that with the support of friends she began to understand her own sexuality, and ultimately realised her perception of the LGBT community had been utterly skewed.

"There is no other community that has done more to shape who I am today, and there is no other community that I believe in more than you," she said.

Delving further still, the 32-year-old singer explained that her own experiences contradicted the teachings of her church and family.

Referring to her debut single, I Kissed a Girl, Katy added: "Truth be told, I did more than that. But how I was I going to reconcile that with a gospel-singing girl raised in youth groups that were pro-conversion camps?"

Katy finished her well-received speech with a promise, saying: "I'll never cease to be a champion, an ally, a spotlight, and a loving voice for all LGBTQ-identifying people."

Take a look…

No one said that this morning would be easy, but Lord we didn't think it would be THIS hard.

After three days of fun and frivolity, the good folk at SHEmazing! HQ are feeling a little ropey, and in an effort to soothe our exhausted (and hungover) heads we've watched footage of Emma Watson playing with kittens… over and over again.

And lads, it really works.

In addition to chatting about her role as Belle in Beauty and the Beast for BuzzFeed, Emma gushed over the kittens and gave everyone here a serious case of the feels.

In a recent televised interview, Lisa Kudrow revealed that she had been subjected to misogynistic remarks while filming hit sitcom Friends.

Recalling the event while appearing on Watch What Happens Next, Lisa, who played Phoebe Buffay for ten years, explained that a guest star had obviously taken exception to her decision not to wear make-up during the show's rehearsals.

Speaking to host Andy Cohen, 53-year-old Lisa said: "I rehearsed without make-up for most of the week. And then, on show night, I'm in hair and make-up and I was told, 'Oh wow, now you're – can I say it?'"

Breaking off to check with Andy whether she should reveal the true nature of the remark, Lisa continued: "'Now you're f**kable.'

While Lisa refused to reveal who was responsible for the reprehensible comment, the actress did admit that she confided in a co-star in the aftermath.

"I told Matt LeBlanc,' Lisa laughed. 'He's like a big brother.'

And yes, we're all racking our brains as to who would have said it…

With Jimmy Kimmel heading up this year's Oscars, it's no real surprise that he decided to bring one of his most popular chat show segments along with him, right?

While Hollywood's biggest and brightest gushed over each other's achievements at the 89th Academy Awards last night, Jimmy Kimmel made it his business to bring the stars down a peg or two with the help of the ever-popular Celebrities Read Mean Tweets.

From Ryan Gosling to Samuel L Jackson, Hollywood's A-listers took on their trolls, and while it's definitely not the most vicious we've ever come across, some people really twist the knife.

(Eddie Redmayne, you have our deepest sympathies on this one.)

We'll let the people of the hour take it from here…

When model Kate Upton nabbed her first Sports Illustrated cover, the then 19-year-old found her success tainted by cruel discussion critiquing her weight.

Reflecting on this time in her life, Kate, now 24, admits that the criticism ultimately help build her confidence in an industry known for its body-shaming.

Speaking during a Facebook Live discussion, Kate admitted that the initial fall-out from her debut cover was far from easy.

“I got my first cover when I was 19 After my first cover, critics were discussing whether I was fat or not," she explains. "I had this huge moment in my career and they were tearing it apart."

"I have to thank the people who did that because it really made me sit back and find out who I was and what meant something to me, and how I thought about my body."

Kate admits the criticism forced her to address issues which she hadn't considered a priority before the debut cover back in 2012.

"At 19, I wasn’t thinking about that. I sat there answering all these questions I had about my body because I really didn’t know.”

Thankfully, Kate now realises that her criticism had little grounding in reality.

"They lashed out on me because they felt insecure about themselves. I realise that the confidence that I had in my body was actually meant to inspire women to love themselves for all their different flaws."

And if that wasn't enough, the model uses her critics as a measure of her success laughing: “If you don’t have haters, then you’re probably not successful."

Remember when Stranger Things won Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble Drama at the Screen Actors Guild Awards last month?

And remember the faces Winona Ryder pulled while her co-star, David Harbour, delivered an impassioned speech celebrating the win?

Well, while the internet went to town on the footage and bandied around endless reasons for the actress's bizarre expressions, it turns out Winona's peculiar behaviour was down to little more than a small audio problem.

Speaking to PEOPLE at the Writer's Guild Awards in New York at the weekend, David insisted the only reason Winona looked so bizarre during the show's big moment was because she couldn't hear David's speech.

“She couldn’t hear me," he insisted. "Which I was confused by, because I was screaming! But apparently, she couldn’t hear me."

Insisting that Winona's reaction to his speech was pure…well… Winona, David said he was glad the moment played out as it did.

"She is just such a porous, expressive woman and actress — I think it just flowed through her like every experience — and I loved it."

He's not the only one.

Being invited on-stage by a musical icon would reduce most of us to an awkward mess. (We mean, remember when Prince had to kick Kim Kardashian off-stage for impersonating a statue?)

So, if you manage to find your way on stage, jam with your hero and actually impress the hell out of them, you may consider yourself one very lucky little blighter.

And in footage which is currently doing the rounds on social media, one Australian teen did just that.

After catching the attention of The Boss at a gig in Brisbane, a kid called Nathan was invited on-stage to play Growin Up with the man himself.

And ladies, he absolutely killed it.

Unlike the rest of us who would struggle to remember our own names in the same situation, Nathan grabbed a aguitar, shared a mike with Bruce and belted out the classic hit – much to the delight of the audience.

For the guts of six minutes, Nathan and Bruce slayed together, and we don't know about you, but we're pretty emotional right now.

The entertainment industry was left reeling last year when news broke that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were calling time on their two-year marriage.

The couple, who began dating in 2005 and share six children together, were at the centre of a media storm last September as the press and public clamoured for more details on the abrupt split.

And while Angelina maintained a dignified silence in the face of media intrusion, it seems the Oscar-winner has decided she is now comfortable to open up about her split from one of Hollywood's best-known stars.

Speaking to the BBC, the actress insisted that the decision was made to best suit the wellbeing of the entire family.

"It was a very difficult time and we’re a family. And we will always be a family. And we will get through this time and hopefully be a stronger family for it," she stressed.

"Many, many people find themselves in this situation. My whole family – we’ve all being through a difficult time."

41-year-old Angelina revealed that caring for her children helped her to navigate the aftermath of the very public divorce.

"My focus is my children, our children, and my focus is finding this way through and as I said we are and forever will be a family and so that is my, that is how I am coping."

“I am coping with finding a way through to make sure that this somehow makes us stronger and closer," she added.

Angelina received sole custody of the couple's children at the end of last year.

Oh, and it doesn't stop there.

So, Professor Green trolled Instagram yesterday, and it looks like some of his fans and followers are struggling to see the logic behind this one.

In what appears to be a dig at the speculation which surrounds his burgeoning relationship with model Fae Williams, the British rapper decided to share a series of shots which suggested he had popped that all-important question.

Except he didn't, and apparently the joke is on us.

So, it all kicked off last night when good ol' Green shared a snap of some serious bling accompanied by the post: "Happy Valentine's Fae Williams."

Unsurprisingly, that was enough to set Insta off, but it didn't end there as the singer then shared a snap of Fae sporting the ring on her engagement finger.

With what appeared to be a reference to his former marriage to Millie Mackinstosh, he wrote: "Fingers crossed this time ay."

The post was flooded with congratulations from fans who had assumed the star had proposed to his new girlfriend.

"Congratulations to you both! She is a lucky lady! Wishing you all the luck in the world! You deserve it," wrote one.

Over the course of the next three hours, it seems Instagram was all over the news when Professor Green suddenly decided to swoop in and set the record straight.

Sharing a snap of himself rocking the ring on his baby finger, the rapper wrote: "Engaged to myself. Wait a minute, wrong finger."

And Instagram was left feeling a little shortchanged.

"You're being embarrassing now are you 5 or are you engaged?" wrote one follower while another added: "Respect has now dropped."

Thankfully for the Just Be Good to Green singer, some of his fans were on hand to help explain the apparent point of his posts.

"Can people not clearly see that @professorgreen has done this to get everyone talking about him and to make the press look like tossers?" remarked one.

Well, it definitely worked.
