We have to admit, we were tad surprised when a strong Dublin accent emerged from the mouth of the lovely Jeremy McConnell during the Celebrity Big Brother launch show last night. 

Just who is this handsome, tattoo'd man and more importantly WHY had we not heard of him before?

Well, before you get in too much of a fluster, here is all you need to know about the Irish guy who is most definitely going to stir it up in this year's CBB house. 

1) He is a talented footballer 

Despite making his way as a model, it turns out that Jeremy has a keen interest in footie and has played for some pretty well known teams including Bohemians FC and Shelbourne FC. 

2) He has a famous Irish ex 

According to his very humble website, Jeremy has reportedly slept with "all the models in Ireland."

And this apparent achievement includes none other than Danny O' Reilly's new bae, model Holly Carpenter. The pair dated for 18 months but reports suggest that it did not end on a good note… 

3) He has a former BB housemate as a best pal 

Jeremy also had an Irish Big Brother veteran to seek advice from before entering the house.

He is great pals with former Tallafornia star Marc O' Neill who went in as a housemate on the non- Celeb Big Brother last year. 

4) You may recognise him 

This is not Jeremy's first stint on reality TV. 

He appeared as a cast member on MTV's Beauty School Cop Outs which followed a group of young wans moving to Manchester to learn all about beauty treatments. 

Yes, that was a concept for a show. 

5) He's a beauty pageant star 

Jeremy appeared in the prestigious beauty pageant, Mr. Ireland but no one knows how far he went. 

(We are assuming he did not win).

It's back! Television's most widely renowned and controversial television show is making a triumphant return to our screens on Channel 5 this evening. 

And that means that a new batch of celebs are being brought into the craziness and well, we can't wait. 

This year's line up looks set to raise the roof as the cast includes Kim K's BFF Jonathan Cheban, Strictly professional Kristina Rihannof, reality star Gemma Collins, socialite Nancy Dell'Ollio, Geordie Shore's Scotty T as well as Ex on the Beach star Megan McKenna. 

As we wait impatiently for the soothing tones of Emma Willis on tonight's launch show, we have put together some of the craziest and most controversial moments from the Celebrity Big Brother house. 

1) The racism controversy 

Probably the most shocking scenes from the CBB house ever was in 2007 when the late Jade Goody along with Jo O' Meara and Danielle Lloyd faced racism and bullying allegations directed toward Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty. 

After a number of negative comments from the trio including nicknaming the Indian actress as "Shilpa poppadom", the show received it's greatest number of viewer complaints ever recorded at over 45,000. 

2) Perez Hilton v Calum Best 

While Perez managed to tick off practically everyone in the house, it was his run in's with Calum Best that really got chin wagging. 

In one particularly nasty row, Perez used such obscene words that many viewers described the comments as verbal sexual harrassment (the above vid is definitely NSFW). 

3) Leo Sayer break out of the house 

2007 was quite the year for controversy and Leo Sayer added a particularly comedic moment when he decided to quit the show after refusing to wash his own underpants. 

He then made a break for it and attempted to stage his own release and it was pretty epic. 

4) Jeremy Jackson kicked out of the house 

American actor Jeremy was given the boot after he pulled open the dressing gown of Ex on the Beach star Chloe Goodman. 

We say good riddance! 

5) Tila Tequila also gets the boot 

Last year's housemate Tila was axed from the house after only two days after viewers expressed outrage over her participation in the show. 

The anger was caused by pro-Hitler comments the pint-sized reality star had made in a post on her blog. As seen in the video above, Tila was already gearing up to be a controversial and cheeky character.

It's back with a bang on Tuesday night, and now the contestants have finally been confirmed!

Channel 5's Celeb Big Brother is coming back with BANG as TOWIE'S Gemma Collins, Geordie shore's Scotty T, Kim K's BFF Jonathan Cheban and soap star John Partridge are all entering the house.

As well as that lively group, Strictly's Kristina Rihanoff, West End star Darren Day, troubled ex-Eastenders actress Danniella Westbrook, David Guest, Nancy Dell'Olio, Winston McKenzie, Angie Bowie and X Factor star Christopher Maloney are also set to enter the BB gaff.

And it's definitely going to be a battle of the TV stars this year as Megan McKenna, Stephanie Davis, Jeremy McConnell and Tiffany Pollard are also heading in.

With that extravagant mix, we can only wonder how adventurous the house will be this year!

The new series of Celebrity Big Brother kicks off early next week, and the latest confirmed contestant hails from Irish shores.

Former Bohs and Shelbourne player and self-confessed ladies' man Jeremy McConnell will join this year's lot of housemates, it was revealed this evening.

Dubliner Jeremy, who dated Holly Carpenter for over a year in his teens, once claimed to have slept with "all the models in Ireland," so he'll no doubt have a lot to say on that subject on the show.

Jeremy will join Gemma Collins, Spencer Matthews, David Gest, and Kim Kardashian's bestie Jonathan Cheban for the new series of CBB, which kicks off next Tuesday December 5.

He'll be the first Irish contestant to take part since B*Witched's Edele Lynch in August 2014.

As well as his modelling work, the tattooed Irishman also starred in the 2013 MTV reality show Beauty School Cop Outs.

He describes himself as a "flirt and a charmer" and according to his Beauty School Cop Outs bio he hates "judgmental, stuck up, power crazy people and… bitchiness."

Sounds like he'll have a tough time in the CBB house, so…

Celebrity Big Brother is our absolute guilty pleasure. 

We tune in for the cat fights, the brawls over food, the eccentric characters and the ridiculous tasks they are given to do. 

With the show scheduled to hit our screens in early January, we take a look at the contestants all set to go in and those who are rumoured to be in talks to enter the infamous house. 

1) Jonathan Cheban 

Widely known as Kim Kardashian's best friend, Jonathan has been confirmed to enter the house and he is receiving a hefty six figure sum for it too. 

We hope he dishes ALL the dirt of our favourite reality show family. 

2) David Gest 

David Gest shot to fame in 2002 after his shock marriage to Liza Minelli,. 

While the marriage did not last, David's life in the lime light did as he has done numerous reality shows including I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! 

3) Lillie Lexie Gregg

Lillie Lexie has been thrust into the limelight this year for her relationship with Geordie Shore scoundrel and heart throb, Gary Beadle. 

Considering that Gary has been getting cosy with his on-off co-star Charlotte, we reckon she will have an axe to grind.

According to reports, Lillie has been offered 200,000 pounds to appear on the show but we do not know whether the offer has been accepted. Fingers crossed! 

4) Lady Colin Campbell 

Lady C is hot property following her controversial stint on I'm a Celeb. 

Though she left the show on medical grounds, she has since been spotted out and about. The bookies have her down as a hot favourite to enter the show. 

5) Scott Disick 

According to the Mirror, CBB bosses have approached Disick and offered him a 660,000 pound deal to enter the house. 

The producers hope some Kardashian secrets will up show ratings. 

6) Spencer Matthews 

We would love to see Spencer do another stint on a celebrity reality show because we simply did not get to see enough of him in the jungle. 

According to reports, CBB bosses have their eye on the handsome Chelsea lad as a great addition to the show. And he could do with the cash; he lost out on 300,000 pounds when he left the jungle early. 

7) Bianca Del Rio 

If you are a follower of RuPaul's Drag Race then you will definitely recognise this comedian drag queen who took the crown in season six. 

Absolutely HIGHlarious, Bianca will bring some much needed humour to the house. Bianca performed so well on Celebrity Big Brother's Bit on the Side last year, she is a hot fave to make the cut. 

8) Vanilla Ice 

Ah yes, an American rapper is a much needed addition to the house. According to the Sun, Vanilla Ice may well be making the trip over to the UK in the New Year. 

9) Kristina Rihanoff 

This Strictly Come Dancing professional has been the centre of controversy in the last few months after some pretty damning comments she made about the nature of the show. 

Now that she ius well and truly gone, would she be willing to spill the beans in the house? According to the Sun, she is all set to enter.

Farrah Abraham has a pretty colourful CV. She has dabbled in everything from reality television to business to adult entertainment. 

But it seems that Farrah's next venture will be providing her six-year-old daughter, Sophia, with a sibling as the 24-year-old plans to adopt another child. 

Speaking to US Weekly yesterday, Farrah confirmed the news. 

"I'm happy to confirm I'm moving forward in my adoption process."

"This means I will be making some changes in my career to welcome a new addition to my family."

While Farrah is not giving much away at this point, the Celebrity Big Brother contestant has confirmed that she has been planning to adopt for some time. 

In addition to this news, Teen Mom season five is making a triumphant return to our screens on the 4th of January. 

New trailers released for the popular MTV show depict Farrah getting into some pretty petty arguments with her daughter, Sophia.

Well, after hearing this news, we'll certainly be tuning into the new series of Celebrity Big Brother. 

Kim Kardashian's best friend, Jonathan Cheban has signed up to take part in CBB… and for a massive six-figure sum. 

Jonathan is without a doubt the holder of all secrets in the Kardashian clan and will be the closest we will ever get to being a fly on the wall. 

Not only is he best buds with Kimmy K, but he's also very close to Kris Jenner, Kanye and Justin Bieber. 

An insider told the Mirror: “Jonathan has a unique insight into the world’s most famous couple. He’ll also make great TV as he’s not afraid to shy away from a row and he’s pretty outspoken.”

It's safe to say that Jonathan has a good few stories about Hollywood's elite – and we're sure Channel 5 is hoping he will share freely… and we hope so too.

After her dramatic stay in the Celebrity Big Brother House, Farrah Abraham has returned home to her daughter Sophia.

Farrah’s six-year old had a very interesting visit from the tooth fairy on her mom’s return.

The controversial Teen Mom star appeared to be in the mood for spoiling her little one as she treated her to a gift of over €1,000 in cash. Sophia was seen pictured in a snap on Farrah’s Instagram, holding a huge pile of British bank notes.

It would seem that their local tooth fairy has increased her rates in the last few months. In July, two of Sophia’s teeth managed to land her just over €500. Farrah tweeted yesterday that the tooth fairy presents were ‘epic’. Sophia also received a special tooth fairy bracelet and a huge pile of fairy dust.

In July, Farrah told Us Weekly that Sophia was struggling with losing her teeth, saying that “she’s not really so secure.”

“I think it's really a struggle losing your teeth right now when everyone's looking at looks.

So, she lost her first big tooth, and she's just like, "Mommy, I want teeth like yours!" and I've had my teeth cosmetically done, so they're looking pretty perfect.”

Farrah has returned to the US after pressing charges against her former CBB housemates during Big Brother’s Bit On The Side last week.

She and Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace had gotten into a row over who had ‘anger issues’ which escalated when Aisleyne attempted to throw a glass at Farrah.

Former Teen Mom 2 star Farrah Abraham entered the Celebrity Big Brother House this year and nothing short of drama followed the reality TV for the duration of her stay. Now she is speaking out about the fight that caused one actress Vicky Michelle to be hospitalised.

Earlier this week an altercation broke out on the live show Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit On The Side. Farrah, Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace and Vicky Michelle were all there as part of a discussion panel.

A statement has been released by Farrah’s management that expresses her regret but also explains that she has decided to press charges.

She said: “After speaking with the police and my lawyer, I have pressed charges against Aisleyne and am considering issuing a lawsuit against Janice.”

Janice Dickinson was also present when the altercation broke out. The clash saw glasses being smashed and Channel 5 were forced to pull the show from the air.

"In regards to Vicky pressing charges against me, I can confirm I was neither arrested nor convicted of anything.

"I was already liaising with the police in regards to everything which happened at BB BOTS because my manager was the first party to call the police that night."

​Farrah has alleged that she was assaulted twice during the row and was in need of medical attention afterwards. She also apologised directly to Vicky Michelle and said that she was “deeply sorry” she was “caught in the crossfire.”

Farrah adds that she believes Aisleyne’s alleged attack was intentional and possibly even pre-meditated. Meanwhile Aisleyne has denied throwing the glass at Farrah.

Well this is probably one of the strangest celebrity friendships we have heard of yet.

Last night on Celebrity Big Brother, 'world's first super model' Janice Dickinson was dropping names all over the place. The one name we couldn't help to ay attention to though was her favourite Irish celeb.

​Janice and Ryan Tubridy are apparently the best of friends. Well, sort of anyway. 

The American TV personality was having a tough time of it in the house and just couldn't face the cold anymore. She was overwhelmed with emotion when she received a care package. 

Included in the package wre some extra warm jumpers from her fiancé Ricky. One of these was an Aran jumper that Ryan gifted her after her appearance on The Late Late Show.

Her shout out was part of a strange goodbye speech, which was odd enough seeing as she wasn't actually going anywhere, in which she offered the jumpers to her fellow housemates.

Janice was gifted the jumper from Tubs back in 2010 when she explained that she hadn;t been able to find one anywhere. Bizarre, but also quite sweet.

Although the people of Twitter were very confused about the whole thing:

Former X factor contestant, now a Celebrity Big Brother star, Chloe Jasmine was having another heated argument with fellow housemate Austin Armacost when her battle with alcoholism came under the spotlight. 

The American reality TV star had a bone to pick Chloe after she refused to raise a glass in toast to his late brother. 

His issue came about after she agreed to go to the fridge and get a beer for her fiance Stevi Ritchie. 

Austin pointed out that he found it unusual that she would refuse a toast but otherwise seemed to have no issue with being around alcohol:

"It’s just ironic that the other day you couldn't get out of bed because you couldn't be around alcohol and now you are running to the fridge to grab booze for Stevi."

Austin continued that he felt completely disrespected by her actions:

"It's really f***ed up you did that Chloe. My brother is dead and you didn't come together with the rest of the house and join in the toast for a few minutes. I feel extremely disappointed and disrespected."

Chloe defended herself against his angry outburst by attempting to explain that she has an ongoing struggle with alcohol addiction:

"I am addicted to alcohol, if I smell it I can go nuts. I could get Stevi a drink as it wasn't open."

After becoming very upset that Austin and she had another argument this week, she went on to explain:

"It's like a manic depressive, some days you want to just stay in bed. This is the disease I have, alcoholism. I'm a bit of a mess really."

Never one to be afraid of putting on a show, Celebrity Big Brother contestant Janice Dickinson is the latest star to have caused a stir on the show.

The former super model and reality TV queen was rushed away from the house earlier today in a dramatic scene which is to be aired later on this evening.

The 60-year old was escorted from the house by medical professionals earlier today.

Producers on the show made the call after she was stung by a bee and had an apparent allergic reaction.

While Janice does return to the house, it seems that not all of her housemates were worried about the star.

The reality TV show has seen Janice cause quite a stir. Her relationship with Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham has been quite tense.

Meanwhile, the house ‘prime minister’ has said that everyone is “100 per cent behind” her return to the house.

This comes after the model was given a formal warning after she was “pretending” to spit on a fellow housemate.

Janice isn’t the only one to be causing some drama for the housemates. Last week Tila Tequila was removed from the house after a Facebook post from 2013 in which she claims to support Hitler was discovered by producers.

An insider with TMZ claims that she is now looking to get back in the house and if producers won’t let her in, she’s going to be demanding her pay check back.
