It seems that the highest earning male model in the world has recently moved from modelling to charity work: he has joined forces with Absolutely Fabulous star Joanna Lumley to help retail giant Marks & Spencer complete 24 community projects in just 24 hours.

The event was held to mark the launch of M&S's new Spark Something Good campaign. The catwalk king, who has also modelled for M&S for years and has even designed his own range for them, donated his time to help transform lives at Maria Fidelis School in London's Camden.

Showcasing his toned biceps in a tight fitted t-shirt, David, 35, gave a helping hand to refurbish and transform disused classrooms at the school. These improvements will then in turn allow the organisation to deal with its highest ever intake of children with learning disabilities.

The school is in partnership with the charity Achievement For All which David has just become an ambassador for.

Speaking about supporting the M&S campaign, the Essex native said: "I'm supporting M&S Spark Something Good initiative to help them encourage and empower people across the country to pick up a shovel, paint brush and take action for social good."

He also commented on how he loved creating a "calming and inspiring place for the students to be the best they can be". Awww…

David is currently dating The Saturday's stunner Mollie King, 28. And all we can say is that she is certainly one lucky lady!

A group of pensioners have taken a novel approach to securing their dream holiday – namely going online and kick-starting a crowd-funding drive.

Their vacation aspiration was simple too: they hoped to travel by bus from their chilly Alpine village in northern Italy to Ugljan, a coastal resort in Croatia some 750km away.

Incredibly, much of the group has never even seen the sea before; those who have, haven't for many years.

All are members of the Circolo Rododendro – the local older person's club – and the women meet for a few hours, two afternoons a week.

Nicknamed the Funne, on their weekly agenda is the likes of bingo, playing cards, idle chat and sometimes even a spot of ballroom dancing.

"Ever since I've been a member of the club, people have been saying, 'Come on, let's organise a trip to the seaside!'" Erminia who, at 70, is the youngest of the group, told the BBC.

"But something always went wrong: one would get sick, another would have some other problem."

Their home of Daone has a population of around 500 people, many of whom grew up poor.

"Do you know some people haven't even been to Trento?" Iolanda, another member, explained referring to the nearest city 60km away. "I was 20 the first time I went." And she is unusual in so far as she has seen the sea – in 1977 when she worked as a nanny.

The Funne started fundraising for their dream a year ago by holding a cake sale at the village fair: sadly, the result was underwhelming.

However, it was there that they bumped into Katia Bernardi, a local film documentary maker who has been following their fundraising endeavours ever since.

On Katia's suggestion, they initially tried making a novelty calendar.

A professional photographer and make-up artist (for most, the first and last time they wore make up was on their wedding day) came on board but the calendar was a flop – something which the ladies themselves put down to local disapproval and envy.

They had almost given up hope when Erminia's grandson suggested crowd-funding on the internet. She initially thought he was mad.

"I said, 'Don't be ridiculous, who's going to give money to a bunch of old ladies who want to go to the seaside?' They'll say, 'If you want to go to the seaside, you can pay for yourselves.'"

Still, they saw donations flood in from as far away as London, New York and cities in Australia. Within three days they had more than doubled their target – money which was then used to take more women on the trip.

They have committed to sending all 350 of their donors a postcard too.

They chose their Croatian island destination because Ugljan has the same patron saint as Daone: the Madonna of the snow. The saint's day is celebrated on Wednesday; their coach left Daone yesterday.

Their work with the likes of Amnesty International, Live 8, and Make Poverty History is well-documented.

But it seems that the boys from U2 are also willing to go above and beyond for less high-profile worthy causes – namely a teenager with cancer who's had to endure multiple rounds of chemotherapy.

Colorado-native Lizzy Lawton is still just 14. But she's been battling a rare, aggressive form of bone cancer since 2010. Back then, following the discovery of tumour on her hip, she was given a just a seven percent chance of living beyond a few months.

Then another tumour was found on her shoulder.

Ten rounds of chemotherapy followed, and Lizzy was even cancer-free for a year – until a scan revealed a third tumour in her skull.

"Her head had been hurting her for a while, but she didn’t want to tell us because she didn’t want to hurt anybody," Lizzy's mother Meredith told PEOPLE.

Now, after five years of living with the disease, she is about to face into another 12 bouts of chemo.

However, when the Lawton family saw that U2 was playing nearby Denver as part of their Innocence + Experience tour last Sunday, they reckoned it would be the perfect outing. The only issue? Tickets were €265 a pop.

Luckily a friend stepped in, raising €4,200 via a CrowdRise fundraiser: the tally was enough for the tickets, as well as a limo ride to Denver from their home. Lizzy and her two sisters were also given makeovers.

Then CrowdRise co-founder and actor Edward Norton heard of the Lizzy's story. He called Bono – and got the family's seats upgraded, along with backstage passes and an introduction to the band themselves.

"When we got into the limo, there were gift bags, and one of them had an iPod in it for Lizzy," Meredith explained. "She was over the moon about the iPod – then we found out we got to go backstage!"

There, Meredith reported: "Bono kneeled down and kissed Lizzy's hand.

"I don’t really know if you can call a rock star a sweetie pie, but that's what he was."

The Edge was the next member of U2 to swing by, sharing his own family's experiences with cancer – his daughter, Sian, had leukaemia as a child.

"A lot of people just walk by because they don’t know what to say and they're uncomfortable with dealing," Lizzy's mother also said.

"These guys weren’t uncomfortable.

"In the back room, they weren’t even celebrities, they were just sweet, kind human beings being sweet and kind to other human beings."

Understandably, Meredith describes the experience as "the best night ever".

She’s known as one of the most stylish girls on the planet, and it’s no surprise considering her mom is uber-successful designer Victoria Beckham herself. Now though, Harper and Victoria are going to be sharing their style with us mere mortals.

The 41-year-old mother of four has curated 25 special outfits that will be donated to raise funds for the Save the Children Fashion Saves Lives sale. The collection includes pieces by Harper’s favourite designer brands. Yes, the 3-year-old has favourite designers. Such a fashion savvy toddler.

The complete outfits, chosen by Victoria herself, include outerwear and shoes from designers like Gucci, Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney, Ralph Lauren and Beckham favourite Chloé. Harper is often spotted wearing coats designed by the French fashion house as well as their ballerina flats in multiple colours. It’s no surprise then that Victoria decided to share the love of her daughter’s go-to pieces with the public.

There's even some stylish children's party wear available in the collection. Miniature fashionistas can chose from a red sequin Chloe dress paired with matching Doc Marten's. Or a beautiful Mischka Aoki dress with jewelled embellishments. The more casual pieces include a Marc Jacobs grey trouser and Chloe sheepskin collar coat. To be honest, we wouldn't mind having some of these for ourselves!

Speaking about the donations, the former Spice Girl said “everyone out there can do their part by purchasing or donating, ensuring children all around the world have the opportunity of a brighter future.”

Prices start at €340 for a dress or shoes from the selection and go up to €685 for an entire curated outfit. In a rare image from inside the star's office, Victoria is seen with her selections from daughter Harper’s wardrobe. Also important to note, no treadmill spotted behind her desk this time.

The donations from Harper’s wardrobe aren’t the first Victoria has made to charity. In August 2014 the designer sold over 600 pieces from her own wardrobe to raise money for the charity mothers2mothers. Which even included pieces from her days as Posh Spice and a fabulous sequin Dolce and Gabanna gown.

Harper Beckham’s outfits are available to purchase from the Mary’s Living & Giving shop for Save the Children in Primrose Hill on June 18.

Victoria Beckham announced the exciting launch of her clothing sale on The Outnet earlier this morning!

Yes, that’s right, for a price (ok, a major price!) you could own a piece of The Spice Girl’s wardrobe. Basically, it’s a dream come true.

The sale began this morning and continues until the 24th, with a total of 10 items from Victoria’s wardrobe up for auction.

We spied this very glam red glitter bomber jacket on the site for 1605.15 (at the time), although, it also has the name “Victoria” etched on the back in blue crystals…We assume this was the old Vicky’s style.

Also up for auction, and much to our delight, is a white minidress by Prada that Victoria wore in the Spiceworld movie – um, we don’t want that, we NEED that.

Victoria announced the launch on her Instagram account by sharing a photo of her very stylish chaps and writing: “My #VBxTheOUTNET sale for @mothers2mothers is live! Chaps anyone??? X vb.”

No, Victoria, no chaps. Please.

The clothing sale by the fashion designer is in aid of charity, mothers2mothers, which aims to “train, employ and empower mothers living with HIV to bring health and hope to other mothers, their families, and communities.”

What a great cause, well done, Victoria!

Millie Mackintosh and Professor Green have recreated John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s bed protest for charity.

The celebrity couple have collaborated with River Island to raise money for charity War Child.

Former Made in Chelsea star Millie left her designer clobber at home in favour of a charity T-shirt designed by River Island, which will go on sale from tomorrow for the charity.

The couple recreated the Beatles‘ star and Yoko’s “bed-in” from their 1969 protest against the Vietnam War.

Millie said she felt “flattered” to recreate the “bed-in” as John and Yoko “were one of the most iconic couples” ever.

The T-shirt is an exact replica of the one John Lennon wore to the Cannes Film Festival in 1971, and is available at River Island from tomorrow.

Well done guys!

The amateur photographer who snapped and then sold the bare bum picture of Kate Middleton during her down under tour said she will donate proceeds from the snap to charity.

Blue Mountains travel agent Diane Morel said that she “almost deleted” the snap saying: “It wasn’t until I got home, and I popped my camera card into the computer, that I realised what I had captured.”

The photo was published by a German tabloid earlier this week, creating a storm of controversy and, we can imagine, lots of embarrassment for Kate and her family.

The photographer said she will donate the money from the sale of the photo to the Blue Mountains Mayoral Bushfire Relief Fund.

Kate and Wills were visiting the area on the day the photo was taken to speak with victims of the tragic 2013 bushfires, so it seems sort of fitting…we suppose.
