Well, over the last several months it seems that certain foodies across the ponf are falling in love with some of our favourite culinary delights.

Not too long ago The New York times realised that sausages rolls were probably the closest thing to edible happiness for many individuals.

There was also the hilarious Buzzfeed article that introduced people around the world to the glory that is a 3-in-1.

Now, they are adding further claim to what we already know to be true: Irish milk chocolate is the best.

Shivani Vora took a trip to Ireland and discovered that what had been told was true, not only is our milk chocolate a source of “intense pride”, but also delicious.

She went on a trip around the country to put some of our finest chocolates to the test. Starting in Butler’s Chocolate Café, which was noted as having "the basics done well" and "refreshingly free of any fancy adulterations like spices or tea blends".

Shivani also made sure to sample the always popular Lily O’Briens and Colm Healy’s Skelligs

To be honest, the trip to Skelligs sounds like great craic and we’re tempted to make a visit ourselves and spend the day doing some taste tests. The very serious act takes place in the most select of locations. The back of Colm's car- naturally.

Colm summed up the Irish chocolate experience like so: “The Irish touch makes it smoother and more chocolately, just like Irish people, including me.”

Good man Colm.

However, despite the joy and deliciousness to be found from many of Ireland’s finest chocolatiers, it ended up being the humble Dairy Milk that was the big winner.

“I was taken by their incomparably creamy mouth-feel, capturing that heavy shot of lactose, and my intended sampling turned into full-on consumption.”

Not at all shocking considering it has been noted that Dairy Milk in Ireland is of a far superior quality than any other country. Speaking to the BBC one shop owner put it quite simply:

"Cadbury's chocolate tastes like chocolate," he says, "whereas Hershey's chocolate tastes like wax."

The difference in taste is supposedly due to the recipe used to produce Irish bars differing from those abroad. Irish Dairy Milk bars have a recipe consisting of "sugar, cocoa butter, and milk sourced from three dairy co-ops, combined with a mass made from cocoa beans."

Golden Crisp and Whole Nut appear to have been firm favourites. Unsurprisingly Tiffin didn’t even get a mention.

Do you remember the news that rocked the world of any and all chocolates fans last month?

When Brown Thomas announced that they would be introducing a personalisation service for our favourite chocolate spread, the internet went absolutely wild.

The "ultimate stocking filler" has proven to be a massive success in Brown Thomas Dublin. So much so that Brown Thomas Cork are opening up their own personalisation station too.

Hurrah!

Chocolate lovers (or very good gift-givers) will have the opportunity to personalise a jar of Nutella with up to 9 characters.

Individual personalised jars will be priced at €5.50, there is also the option to purchase a personalised jar in a presentation box for €7.50.

Once again, Caoimhe can finally have her own personalised treat, but those Christophers and Blaithnaids will still be left waiting, unfortunately.

The Nutella Personalisation service is available exclusively at Brown Thomas Cork from Tuesday 17th November.

Described as "funky, warm, hipster, but also family-orientated," a brand-new bar is about to open its doors in Sydney's Dulwich Hill area.

So what's the big deal, you ask? Well, this is not any old hipster-friendly establishment, no siree.

In fact, it's a specialist NUTELLA eatery which will serve up an array of chocolatey, hazelnutty, sugary wonders.

And yes, frankly, we're already seriously considering selling a kidney and using the proceeds to hop on a 17,250km flight Down Under.

Offering "every Nutella product you can think of," the owners have already said they reckon the quirky likes of Nutella cruffins, Nutella banana bread, Nutella macarons, Nutella brownies, Nutella icecream and Nutella cheesecakes will be among their biggest sellers, although the more standard Nutella crepes, waffles, and pancakes are sure to be a hit too.

The concept has been kicked off by the same folk who run the city's popular Foodcraft Espresso And Bakery

Recently, the cafe caused an on-line storm when its €6.50-a-pop Tella Ball milkshake – a mouth-watering mix of three scoops of Nutella and vanilla ice cream topped with a Nutella-infused doughnut – went viral.

Understandably, the Tella Ball will also be available in the new cafe. For those of us not based in Sydney, SHEmazing! has rounded up the following Instagram snaps… now let's all take a sugar-infused moment to dare to dream…

It's true, we love cake more than life itself (if you seen SHEmazing! HQ and our daily cake intake, you'd know what we're talking about).

So, it was a complete shocker when we found out that we've all been cutting cake wrong our whole lives.

As it turns out, experts believe that you shouldn't cut a circular cake into wedges as it exposes the sponge to air which makes it dry out quicker.

According to The Mirror, IFLScience has revealed a more scientific way to cut our sponges.

First of all, you have to cut the cake into quarters. Next, you cut the number of slices you want, working from the middle and following the line up.

Once you've cut the piece you want, then push back the cake together to prevent any moisture loss.

So, there you go! Keeping your cake fresh and moist for longer just got a whole lot easier!

You can think twice if you think your love for grilled cheese is just a random quirk!

Apparently, our food habits say a lot about who we are, with subtle differences in taste dictated by our upbringing.

Scientists are increasingly linking our food preferences with our personality traits, so if you want to find out what your love for chocolate means, read on:

If you love grilled cheese…

You're seductive, charitable and worldly.

Research carried out by dating site, Skout, quizzed 4,600 people on their diet, bedroom habits and lifestyle and what they found out was quite interesting.

The survey found that 81 percent of cheese lovers donate time, money or food to those in need. And 84 percent enjoy travelling compared to only 78 percent of people who don't like cheese.

And if you love a cheddar toastie in the evening, it also means you have a good time in the bedroom! They discovered that 73 percent of cheesy people have sex at least once a month, compared to only 63 percent of non-cheese lovers.

If you love chocolate…

You're selfless and good-natured.

A study carried out by the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology found that people with a sweet tooth tend to have sweeter dispositions.

The research found that those who like chocolate are more likely to volunteer to help another person. They're also more agreeable and even-tempered than those without a sweet tooth.

If you love pepperoni pizza…

You're extroverted and argumentative

A survey from the Smell & Taste Treatment and Research Foundation tested 500 adults on their preferred pizza topping.

The results found that people who like pepperoni on their pizza thrive when they're the centre of attention and are more likely to be extrovert than those who like other toppings.

They are also more likely to be argumentative and procrastinators, while those who like chicken as a topping are likely to be driven, assertive and competitive.

If you love curry…

You're a risk-taker.

Research by the University of Grenoble found that people who like spicy food are more likely to be financial, sexual and behavioural risk-takers.

Spice-lovers are also seen to be daring and adventurous and prove to work better in intense situations.

If you love ice-cream…

You're impulsive and idealistic.

If you're partial to vanilla ice-cream, you're likely to be dynamic and idealistic.

Smell & Taste Treatment and Research Foundation used various tests to determine that ice-cream lovers are impulsive and rely on intuition more than logic. They are also seen as more emotionally expressive and work better in close relationships.

We all know chocolate is the best thing in the world, but when we eat that one bite too many, it's easy to feel guilty about it.

Well, not anymore!

Scientists claim they have developed a type that is so healthy it could be taken as medicine. Yes!

The key ingredient in chocolate, cacao, contains antioxidants and minerals, and can even help lower blood pressure while increasing good cholesterol.

But these good elements are normally outweighed, as most chocolate bars contain at least 70 percent fat and sugar.

Now, an American company has developed a prototype that is only 35 per cent sugar and fat (hurrah!), by sweetening the unpalatable pure cacao with a herb from the Andean region of Bolivia and Peru.

Gregory Aharonian of Kuka Xoco, which is developing the chocolate, spoke at the World Chocolate Forum in London this week.

"Using micrograms of coca plant extract, we can de-bitter unsweetened cacao."

"This eliminates the need for sugar, sweeteners and much of the fat in chocolate, unleashing the medical benefits of cacao."

He then added that while this is a milestone, their long-term goal is to create a chocolate with only 10 percent sugar and fat.

Mr Aharonian described sugar as 'the next nicotine' and argued that if the unhealthy ingredients were removed from chocolate, it could and should be eaten medicinally.

He said: "In America, the $100bn (€89bn) a year chocolate industry could become a $200bn (€178bn) a year health food industry, if only much of the sugar and fat could be removed."

"We look forward to working with the chocolate industry to make chocolate the most fun medicine."

Healthy chocolate? We're looking forward to it too!

You might think it's all fun and games when it comes to sweets and candy; but apparently not so.

There's been a long-running legal battle between Haribo and Lindt Chocolate —and you won't believe why.

Back in 2012, the gummy bear company decided that the Swiss chocolatier's famous gold-foil chocolate bears too closely resembled its cartoon mascot.

But this week, a federal court judge finally settled the debate.

"Lindt's sales of bear-shaped chocolates wrapped in a golden foil with a red ribbon is neither a violation of Haribo's 'Gold Bear' trademark nor an illegal imitation of the fruit gum products."

And Lindt wins!

According to Agence France-Passe, the main argument for Lindt was that the chocolate bears were inspired by another of its successful sellers, the famous gold-foil bunny offered at Easter that also dons a red ribbon around its necks.

The gold bunny was first created in 1952. In comparison, the first batch of Haribo Gold Bears was produced in 1967.

A German court originally ruled in favour of Haribo before an appeals court countered that verdict by siding with Lindt and stating that the chocolate bears could not be mistaken for Haribo's sweets.

To reach a final verdict, the case was taken to the Federal Court of Justice where Lindt was the ultimate victor.

Less than 18months ago, YouTube-stable Chanele McGuinness heard about an emerging music contest being held by RTE.

Initially pitted against 550 other entrants, to her delight she made the final. Lining up alongside solo artist Gary Showbiz as well as five-piece band The New Transmission, she played live on the John Murray Show.

By the end, she had been declared the over-all winner; a little over 48hours later she was on the Saturday Night Show playing her song, Numb, to some half a million viewers.

Performances at Sea Sessions and Electric Picnic followed – so suffice to say that Chanele, a 22-year-old from the Ballyshannon area of Co Donegal, had been plunged into the deep-end.

But that’s also very much the way she likes it – which is just as well, as she’s currently being plunged right back in all over again.

It began several months ago when talent scouts acting on behalf of Galaxy chocolate spotted her music on SoundCloud.

They liked what they heard, and invited her to London to audition; once again she found herself caught up a whirlwind.

“I was in France visiting a friend at the time,” she explains in a one-on-one conversation with SHEmazing! “The next thing I knew I was on a train for probably the biggest audition of my life. I didn’t have time to think about it, really.”

She adds: “I’d never done anything like that before. I mean, it’s kinda just always been me and my guitar playing open-mic nights.”

The audition was evidently a huge success: she ended up collaborating with Bxnjamin, a talented London-based rapper, to create an infectious, acoustic version of Audrey Hepburn's iconic Moon River.

If you haven’t heart the track yet – and you soon will – it features in a brand-new, must-see advert for the recently released Galaxy Duet bar, which has just been unveiled throughout the UK and Ireland.

Things are surely only going to get bigger too: Galaxy has partnered with Spotify to allow fans of the track to stream it onto their music devices for free. It's furthermore available on iTunes.

“It's exposure on another level,” the Donegal-woman admits earlier today. “And I don't think it's really hit me yet that people will be hearing me in their kitchens.”

Her mum, whom Chanele cites as her No.1 fan, has already checked if the Galaxy Duet advert will be played during the soaps (it will). “So that’s her content,” she laughs.

Right now, the singer-songwriter is weighing up a move to London. “I'm so happy with everything and I’m just so excited about Galaxy Duet,” she states.

“So going forward I'd like to think I'd be a bit picky and choosey about what I work on or who I work with next.”

The X Factor is out then? “I just don’t think you get a lot of freedom in that type of TV show,” Ms McGuinness shrugs. “You have to be open to being much more moulded.”

As for hearing her voice on the Galaxy television ad, she describes it as a “totally surreal and utterly amazing” experience. “I still have to pinch myself every time I see it on television!”

From YouTube, to RTE and Electric Picnic – to taking on Galaxy… we here at SHEmazing! can’t wait to see A LOT more of Chanele McGuinness.

Pizza is delicious. Around here we are massive pizza fans and we reckon that nothing makes our day quite like a pizza delivery. Although, a homemade pizza is going to get us just as excited, we are not huge fans of all the labour it requires.

Some days we just want to sit on the couch and have food brought to us, is that such a terrible thing?

What is a terrible thing we decided was having to make that painful decision about whether we want to go all out and splurge on pizza, or would we be happier eating Nutella from the jar? We are also massive fans of dessert.

Then, luckily for us we realised that we no longer had to make the tough decision because there was a way to have the best of both worlds: Nutella pizzas.

We were very very happy with this discovery. We decided this was a luxury we needed in our homes and not just when eating out. Lucky for you, these are not that difficult to make at home, Buzzfeed even put together a video to help you out.

Ingredients:

Package of ready-made pastries (as many as you need, go for it)

Icing Sugar for dusting/garnish

Nutella jar

2 tbsp. butter

2 tbsp. Granulated Sugar

A round oven pan

Toppings can then be whatever you desire, we do love strawberries and chocolate though.
