If you want to get your hands on a Repeal decoration just in time for Christmas, make your way to the Flea for Choice on December 9 in Dublin's Workmans Club.

Sarah Maria Griffin, who penned the incredible We Face This Land, has enlisted the help of her mother to create the stunning designs in aid of the Abortion Rights Campaign.

Taking to Twitter, the Spare and Found Parts author explained that she and her mother would be selling a limited supply at the Christmas edition of the fundraiser next month.

And if the response is anything to go by, you'll need to act fast if you want to see one adorning your tree this festive season.

The Flea for Choice will kick off at noon and finish up at 5pm, and for more details on the event, make sure you check out their Facebook page.

There's no doubt that Christmas starts earlier and earlier each year, and while that suits festive enthusiasts down to the ground, it can make it difficult for people who mourn their late loved ones all the more deeply at Christmas.

Tapping into this over the weekend, Twitter user, Rachael Prior, posted a message which ultimately initiated a heartfelt thread on the subject of love and loss.

"Nowhere and no time do I miss my dad more acutely than in the men’s department of M&S at Christmas," she wrote in a post which has been liked almost 12,000 times since Saturday.

Rachael's candour set in motion a discussion which gave the grieving a chance to remember their own loved ones by telling fellow followers how and when they remember their friends and family members.

It makes for emotional reading, but there's a lot to be said for the warmth born of the impromptu discussion.

December is officially upon us, and on these cold, dark evenings all we want to do is lounge around in our onesies clutching a glass of vino.

Now there's a seriously festive way to enjoy that evening tipple that doesn't involve a reindeer jumper.

The Santa's Flask stocking is the perfect combination of a Christmas decoration and a reminder of your penchant for pinot.

Like a typical stocking, Santa’s Flask can be hung from the mantle piece for easy access from the couch to your favourite alcoholic beverage.

It's also portable, so it's perfect for all those upcoming Christmas parties.

While drinking out of a sock-shaped plastic bag may not be the classiest of methods, it's definitely festive.

The flask can hold up to three bottles of wine so getting jolly on Christmas eve will be no problem.

Just make sure you leave a glass out for Santa.

With the festive season almost upon us (10 weeks and six days, FYI), many retailers are gearing up for the busy months ahead.

In an effort to cope with the influx of Christmas shoppers, Debenhams are looking for 550 temporary staff members to work across its Irish stores.

The popular retailer currently operates in 11 locations in the Republic of Ireland, with department stores in Dublin, Galway, Cork, Limerick, Waterford, Kerry and Kildare.

Stocking everything from fashion and beauty to gadgets and accessories, Debenhams has cemented itself as one of the go-to destinations for Irish gift shoppers.

Previous experience is not essential, though management say they on the hunt for candidates with a 'can-do' attitude.

Farouk Mangera, head of HR, said: “We begin planning months before the festivities start to make sure we deliver the high level of service that consumers expect from Debenhams”.

Successful applicants will start mid-November and work until the beginning of January, though the opportunity of permanent work may be available for the right candidates.

Nothing screams Christmas quite like a perfectly decorated tree and a tall glass of your favourite drink – so it was only naturally that some absolute genius would create a product that combined the two.

Introducing, the gin-filled bauble.

The Lake Distillery has just launched its collection of boozy decorations, and honestly, December can't come quick enough.

Sold in sets of six, the baubles can be filled with a choice of gin, whiskey or vodka.

The gin set includes a Cumbrian variety, a sloe gin liquor and a damson gin, all of which are made by the distillery.

The whiskey set comes with six baubles each containing the distillery's own unique blend, while the vodka selection offers a triple- distilled variety as well as caramel and espresso vodka liqueurs.

You can pick up a set (or two) at findmeagift.co.uk for £39.99 (approx. €44.56).

Looks like we're in for a very merry Christmas altogether!

If you assume the children of celebrities awake to mountains of expensive presents on Christmas morning, well, let's face it, you're probably right.

But not in the case of Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, it seems.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Mila revealed that she and her husband have no intention of buying gifts for their three-year-old daughter Wyatt and one-year-old son Dimitri this festive season.

Citing their age as the principle reason, Mila insisted that they're too young to appreciate the gesture, saying: "We’re instituting [no presents] this year because when the kids are [younger than] one, it doesn’t really matter."

Reflecting on previous Christmases, the Black Swan star admitted that she felt her daughter was unnecessarily spoiled by entended family members, and is keen not to have it repeated.

"Last year when we celebrated Christmas, Wyatt was two, and it was too much. We didn’t give her anything – it was the grandparents. The kid no longer appreciates the one gift. They don’t even know what they’re expecting; they’re just expecting stuff."

The 34-year-old told the show that she has warned her and Ashton's parents ahead of this year's celebrations that neither she nor Ashton would appreciate a repeat.

"We’ve told our parents, “We’re begging you – if you have to give her something, pick one gift. Otherwise, we’d like to take a charitable donation to the children’s hospital or a pet [or] whatever you want."

We see their point of course, but… but… presents.

It's that time of year again – evenings are getting shorter, lipstick shades are getting warmer, and the LUSH Halloween collection is back on the shelves.

Last month, the ethical beauty brand took to Instagram to unveil some spooky treats for the season ahead, and after a long wait, we can finally reveal that seasonal products will land in Dublin stores tomorrow morning.

Think ghoulish bath bombs, fierce lip tints, and all the glitter you can get your hands on.

Oh and that's not all.

Rumour has it the Christmas collection will also be available from tomorrow – meaning we'll all be smelling like Snow Fairy for the foreseeable future.

But hey, we're not complaining.

So, while we're generally of the opinion that any pre-Halloween mention of the 'C' word deserves to be met with copious amounts of eye rolling and a schooling in the modern Christian calendar – we reckon we may have just found an exception to the rule.
