As the debate continues about whether it’s too early to put up the Christmas tree or if it’s just too soon to be listening to festive music, there is one thing that all Irish people, at home and abroad, can agree on; it’s never too early for The Late Late Toy Show.

Yes, whether you are generation Gay, Pat or Ryan, for one Friday night a year we all set up camp in front of our tellies and watch the magic happen.

And while dreams do indeed come true on that glorious night, there is one dream that many of us have yet to see granted and that’s to be one of the lucky few sat in the audience enjoying the show up close.

Well, one woman is taking it into her own hands this year and making her plea through a series of hilarious videos with the hopes of getting herself that golden ticket.

Veronica Barry has been taking her case straight to Mr Ryan Tubridy himself and we have to admit, it’s pretty convincing.

From sledding her way to RTE studios to doing a very special Toy Show Ice Bucket Challenge, Veronica is fighting for her place at this year’s big event.

The Dublin-native even roped in the help of Santa Claus himself in a bid to get her hands on two tickets.

When it comes to the food of kings, we reckon that pizza, and Christmas dinner with all the trimmings are right up there among the very best. 

And now, praise the taste gods, Milanos has decided to combine both to create what ultimately amounts to a Christmas roast on a pizza.

Dubbed the fancy-pants Porchetta Natale Romana, it boasts pulled hog roast along with a soft herb stuffing, pancetta, mozzarella, rosemary, oregano and pine kernels, and fresh parsley and costs €16.90.

If that's not your cup of tea, the Pannetone Cheesecake (€6.85) – chocolate chip and orange marmalade panettone pieces in a creamy vanilla cheesecake, topped on a thick and buttery biscuit base – might be.

Otherwise, Snowball Dough Balls (€4.45) are a safe bet: Milano’s famous Dough Balls sprinkled with icing sugar and cinnamon and served with a vanilla cream dip.

Just hours ago Kylie Jenner announced via Snapchat that she is releasing a massive Christmas cosmetics collection.

The reality TV star teased her new collection on social media earlier this week, showing sneak peeks of the new silver-packaged products peeking out of a white faux fur stocking.

The mega holiday haul includes 14 brand new products, all with a festive flair and, according to Kylie, perfect for the holidays.

All of the items in Jenner's new drop contain "real diamond powder," and are packaged in silver tubes and boxes tied up with a white bow. 

The collection reintroduces her mini matte set, this time including two brand new Christmas shades.

The other shades are all familiar but totally sold out, making them notoriously difficult for beauty addicts to acquire. 

Angel, a pale pink, and Vixen a dark purple that's not unlike one of her first purple shades Kourt K.

The cosmetics collection also includes some seriously cute lip glosses and metal shades that double up as tree ornaments in three more brand new shades, Dancer, Naughty, and Jolly (Dancer is Kylie's favourite, by the way).

The makeup maven is also dropping a mattes and glitter glosses box, containing all new Christmas colours. 

While lip kits may be the corner stone of the teen's cosmetics empire, her eye shadows have become a smash success.

The teen is launching three new creme shadows in camo, yellow gold, and golden plum, along with an exclusive Kyshadow palette.

The exclusive Kylie Cosmetics the Holiday 2016 palette is one of the most covetable pieces in the collection, and will finally include a mirror, something her make up fans have been crying out for. 

"My inspiration was jewel tones, so I used all jewel tones to create a smoky eye palette that you can use during the holiday," said the star as she swatched the new shades on Snapchat.

Looking for something to apply Kylie's new shadows with? Never fear, the teen is launching her very first brush collection, which includes five blending brushes. 

Need something to keep the brushes in? Kylie has got that covered too, with a limited edition silver make up bag. 

The pièce de résistance of the collection is the Kylie Holiday Edition Box, which includes 10 Kylie lip colours, the exclusive new Kyshadow palette, three creme shadows and a brand new white Kyliner called Snow. 

According to Kylie, buying this bonanza box will win you the "Mom or Dad of the year award."

Everything from the collection will be released on Monday, November 21 at 9pm Irish time. If any of her previous launches are anything to go by, you need to act fast if you want to see Kylie's new collection under your tree, as the line is guaranteed to sell out fast.

We’ve had trampoline loving boxers, robin rescues and history reimagined around a coat, but a pair of teddy bears making their way through the airport is quickly becoming a favoured Christmas ad.

Much to the surprise and delight of holiday enthusiasts, Heathrow Airport has released its first Christmas campaign – a brief documentation of Mr and Mrs Bair’s journey home.

The video features heartwarming moments involving mistletoe, toy passport checks, a lot of paw holding and an all too real struggle with a baggage carousel.

Everyone knows that puppies aren’t just for Christmas, yet every festive season puppy farms get ready to do a roaring trade.

While unwanted puppies are always a problem come January, one issue all year round is the mothers of these puppies, who are mere “breeding machines” to the people in charge.

“Forced to have litter after litter of puppies until their bodies are exhausted,” the new Dogs Trust Ireland campaign focuses on ending the mistreatment and cruelty faced by both Mum and pup.

The #StopKeepingMum campaign encourages people to make a commitment to see the living conditions of the mother every time they’re thinking of purchasing a pup.

The hashtag, which is currently the number one trending Irish Twitter topic, is accompanied by an absolute tear jerker of an advert, which highlights how these dogs are treated like manufacturing machines.

“We have to highlight what happens behind the distressing puppy farming trade in Ireland, and, in particular shine a light on the appalling injustice to the Mums who are forced to live in these horrific conditions,” Mark Beazley, Dogs Trust Executive Director, explained.

“We are therefore asking members of the public to stop and think about where the puppies that they are buying actually come from and ‘always ask to see the Mum’ and the puppy interacting each other and to always be concerned if excuses are made as to why you cannot.”

If you’re still thinking about getting a dog this December, here are a few things that Dogs Trust begs you to consider.

Owning a dog is a massive commitment. With the average pups life spanning 13 years, make sure you can foresee yourself caring for a dog that far into the future.

Dogs are also expensive creatures. Between food, veterinary care and making your home and garden secure for an animal, the costs can rack up to over €10,000. Be sure your bank account is ready.

The campaign is receiving massive support on Twitter, with hundreds of people pledging to #StopKeepingMum and take a stand against puppy farming for good.

The run-up to Christmas just got a whole lot better now that there's a GIN advent calendar.

Usually, the good 'oul chocolate ones could do the job, but we all know that this time of year can be mega-stressful, so the boozy addition is a nice surprise.

Yuletide yumminess isn't usually associated with fast food, but popular chicken chain restaurant Nandos is giving us one more festive treat to look forward to this year.

Nandos is introducing it's first ever Christmas menu, complete with the ultimate cranberry sauce-laden sandwich. 

The restaurant combined two Nando’s favourites into one burger, a flame-grilled boneless chicken thigh and chicken breast fillet to complete this feat. 

Nandos explained to the Mirror that the new burger will be"served in a Portuguese roll on a bed of baby spinach, the PERi-Berry Burger is topped off with a PERi-Berry Chutney featuring cranberries, raspberries and blueberries, infused with PERi-PERi Chillies – adding warmth and heat and a touch of sparkle to occasion."

If you're starting those New Year's resolutions early the restaurant has a new carb free addition. 

The popular Peri Peri wings are getting a Christmas makeover with a tangy PERi-Orange glaze.

"Combined with Nando’s signature PERi-PERi, and available in a choice of heat levels, PERi-Orange wings are available in plates of 3, 5 or 10 wings."

The new Christmas feast will be available from November 16th all the way through to January 3rd. Perfect for those New Years day hangovers.

It's something we wait for every single year, and now the John Lewis Christmas ad is finally here.

It's definitely another tear-jerker, as Buster the dog steals the show.

Four-year-old Biff, was picked for the famous advert, and he's just the CUTEST thing ever.

But he's not the only animal, as two foxes, a badger, a squirrel and a hedgehog are all working alongside the pet pooch.

We’ve been online long enough to know that kale is exceptionally good for you.

But just because its famed curly leaves are filled with iron, bursting with antioxidants and seem ideal for detoxifying the body, doesn’t mean we can be forced to consume them on the world’s most official day of indulgence.

A new kale-Brussels sprout hybrid looks set to invade dinner tables around the world this Christmas by offering itself up as a more palatable alternative to the traditional miniature festive cabbage.  

According to the Kalettes website, this peculiar combination is versatile to cook, “sweet and nutty” to taste and looks “great”.

Last year, Kalettes were declared “the hippest vegetable of 2015” as they made their way across the UK, continental Europe, Australia and the US.

While we have yet to find stockists of this unusual veggie in Ireland, if the Kalettes' popularity continues to grow, they're bound to appear on dinner tables here soon.
