Dylan Penn is not only the daughter of two-time Oscar winning actor Sean Penn, she is also the daughter of House of Cards‘ leading lady, Robin Wright.

As she is set to make her movie debut in horror film, Condemned, we wonder if she is feeling the pressure of being the daughter of such successful actors!

Her mother, Robin, who plays the calculating Claire in House of Cards, was also Princess Buttercup in the 80’s cult film, The Princess Bride.

With such strong acting genes in her blood, we reckon Dylan is going to become a very familiar face indeed!

Dylan, who is 22, will be starring in the lead role of the indie horror flick which sees residents of a building try to kill each other after their rubbish gives them an infection.

It will begin shooting in New York in April and is directed by Eli Morgan Resner.

Buzzfeed have disclosed a Disney theory from fans on Tumblr that proves an undeniable link between Tangled, Frozen and the classic Little Mermaid movies.

We are obsessed with this right now, we hope Disney confirm!

Ok so, let’s get into context.

As some of you may know, there is a cameo by Rapunzel and Eugene in Frozen, see here:

disney_theory

Hmm, what were they doing there? Well, as we know, Frozen is set three years after the sinking of the King and Queen of Arendelle’s ship which killed them.

And Tangled was released exactly three years before Frozen.

It doesn’t say where the King and Queen were going but the timeline suggests they could have been on their way to Rapunzel and Eugene’s wedding which they didn’t make tragically. Which could be why Rapunzel and Eugene decided to attend Elsa’s coronation in Arendelle.

world

Also, the mapped area of all three movies is very close, as this fan wrote: “Kingdom of Corona is in Germany. Kingdom of Arendelle is in Norway. The Little Mermaid was near Denmark. What if the sunken ship in The Little Mermaid is the king and queen of Arendelle’s?”

We’ll just have to spend the weekend watching all three. You know, for research purposes.

Downton Abbey star Ed Speleers will be up against Breaking Bad‘s Jesse Plemons for the role of Jedi apprentice in the upcoming Star Wars movie.

The two well-known actors will be up against John Boyega, Ray Fisher and Matthew James Thomas for the coveted role in Star Wars: Episode VII.

It was accidentally revealed by Lena Dunham that her Girls co-star Adam Driver will play the villain in the movie, though she quickly backtracked saying, “I confirm nothing”.

The movie will be produced by J.J. Abrams and is said to star some of the cast of the original movies such as Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill.

Abrams is also said to be looking for a more “diversified” cast for lead roles.

Rooney Mara has been cast as Tiger Lily in Warner Bros. remake of Peter Pan, Pan.

Hugh Jackman has been cast as Captain Blackbeard while Hook will be played by Garrett Headlund.

An actor has not yet been chosen for Peter and an open casting call will be held to find a suitable option.

Variety reports that the world in which Pan will be set in is “multi-racial/international – and a very different character than previously imagined.”

It is also reported that Warner Bros. had an “exhaustive” search to find the right person to play Tiger Lily, “looking at other actresses such as Lupita Nyong’o and Blue is the Warmest Color thesp. Adele Exarchopolous before going to Mara for the role”.

Pan is set to be released in the summer of 2015 and it is hoped it will appeal to fans of Lord of the Rings as well as the Harry Potter franchises.

This girl just gets cooler every day!

Shailene Woodley has admitted to The Hollywood Reporter than when it comes to matters of the heart, she doesn’t discriminate.

The pretty actress who plays Beatrice Prior ‘Tris’ in the upcoming Divergent movie said: “I fall in love with human beings based on who they are not what they do or what sex they are.”

Shailene also spoke about her friendship with fellow actress Jennifer Lawrence who she says was the reason behind her choice to make Divergent. Shailene says that Jen urged her: “You must do it. You will not regret it for a second. Yes, there are some hard things, but there are so many beautiful things that will come from an opportunity like this.”

Jen must have been talking money because it is reported that Shailene will earn between $250,000 to $500,000 for the first movie. The numbers will likely reach into the millions for the subsequent films as they did for Jennifer and Kristen Stewart in the Hunger Games and Twilight series.

The official trailer for Annie has been released and we have to say we are impressed!

It’s hard to know what to expect with remakes of classics, especially musicals, but with a cast like this could it have gone wrong?

Annie stars Cameron Diaz, Jamie Foxx, Rose Byrne and Quvenzhané Wallis.

The movie is due for release Christmas this year.
