Huge congratulations are in order for Julia Goulding who has become a mum for the very first time. The Coronation Street actress gave birth to a healthy baby boy on November 30.

The name Franklin is of English origin and means ‘a freeman’.

Alongside the snap, she wrote, “Thank you to the lovely couple in the park who took this picture for us: Taken as I was in early labour on my due date.”

The mum opened up about her baby boy, “He’s changed our lives for the better in every way. I feel like I’ve known him my whole life.”

We couldn’t be happier for the Coronation Street star and Ben. Little Franklin is certainly the best early Christmas present they ever could have asked for.

Coronation Street star Mikey North and his wife Rachael have confirmed the birth of their second child. The couple revealed they welcomed a baby girl in September and they chose the most perfect name for their little one.

The actor opened up about his newborn daughter in an interview with OK! Magazine.

The doting parents decided to call her Eliza. The name Eliza, short for Elizabeth, is of Hebrew origin, but is extremely popular due to the royals. 

The name means God is my oath.

Speaking about Eliza’s birth, Rachael admitted that it didn’t go as expected. The mum was 16 days overdue so she had to be induced.

The mum shared, “It was so bizarre going into hospital knowing I was going to have a baby as opposed to going into labour naturally. It was like having a casual appointment and then leaving with a baby!”

Mikey joked that it was the longest 16 days of his life.

The dad-of-two admitted, “I’m the worst birthing partner in the world. I was just nervously pacing around the whole time and Rach shouted at me to sit down.”

“Hats off to any woman that gives birth. I’m just thankful I don’t have to do it!” he quipped.

Mikey and Rachael are also parents to two-year-old Archie.

The actress opened up about her baby joy in an interview with OK! Magazine. She couldn’t help but gush about her exciting news: “I’m beside myself with happiness.”

“I’ve always wanted to be a mum, so I’m really excited,” she added.

Brooke added that she hopes that she will be just like her mum, who had Brooke when she was in her twenties.

This is Brooke’s first child with her boyfriend Kean Bryan. The 26-year-old believes becoming parents will only make their relationship stronger.

“Kean brings out the best in me and it makes me so excited that we’re on this journey together.”

She added: “I’d love to get married, Kean and I speak about it, but we are concentrating on the baby for the foreseeable.”

There’s no doubt Brooke will receive heaps of support from her family, friends and fellow Corrie cast members during this exciting time in her life.

After spending years on the cobbles playing Coronations Street’s Rosie Webster, it looks like Helen Flanagan is now enjoying her favourite role yet; mum to her daughter Matilda.

The 25-year-old has been speaking about how her life has changed since becoming a mum to her one-year-old.

Appearing on Loose Women on Wednesday, Helen was asked about her family life and how it’s impacted her life.

“I was lost before I was a mum.

“My life has changed massively. But completely for the better. I’m in my element being a mum.”

Helen faced her fair-share of backlash over the years especially during her time on I’m A Celebrity but it seems motherhood has helped her overcome the scrutiny and focus on what is important.

She has made me so much happier. It changes your priorities and you realise what's important but I am completely besotted with her.

“It is really full on but you don't realise how much until you actually become a mother yourself.”

And like most celebrity mums, the public have also been quick to judge Helen for her parenting choices including her decision to co-sleep with her daughter.

“We did do that but we have a different routine now. We've got our bed back

“It wasn't something that we planned to do but when she was four or five months old, I was breastfeeding her and she ended up in bed with us.

“I would never want to promote sleeping with a newborn as it's dangerous. I felt guilty when I read about it. It's only when they are old enough or strong enough.”

Matilda is Helen’s first child with boyfriend, Aston Villa player, Scott Sinclair but it sounds like she won’t be the last.

“We had talked about trying for a baby last Christmas – and then we said when she's two and now we're saying when she's three, so we’ll see.”

Corrie fans, get ready to see a whole lot more of the street's stars!

The adored soap has just announced it will be broadcasting one more episode each week – that brings it up to six episodes every week.

The drama already graces our screens twice on Monday and Friday, and again on a Wednesday.

Coming in 2017, ITV's director of television Kevin Lygo said the soap is "high-quality" and has a "hugely loyal audience."

"The soaps are the cornerstone of the ITV schedule, and Coronation Street continues to produce some of the finest drama and comedy on television. It is a hugely important part of what has defined ITV throughout its history, and I want it to continue to be right at the heart of what ITV defines in years to come."

As Ryan Thomas bid farewell to his Corrie character Jason Grimshaw, he was joined by all of his soap co-stars – even former Corrie actress Michelle Wright.

The cast and crew went to Rosso Restaurant in Manchester for Ryan's leaving do, and when they exited the venue, they all looked fairly on there way (if you know what we mean).

Simon Gregson seemed to thoroughly enjoy his night as he was seen cosying up to his wife shortly after leaving Rosso.

And a snap of Ryan leaving in a car after the night out is circling on social media which sees him with a fairly happy grin on his face.

Mr Thomas has been a favourite on the cobbles of Corrie for 16 years now, so it's no wonder the cast came in doves to say goodbye.

He'll be missed!

We were given a serious blast from X Factor past earlier today.

Yes, SHEmazing! met up with none-other than the still-gorgeous winner of the second series, Shayne Ward.

After recently signing a year-long contract with Ireland’s favourite soap, Coronation Street, the singer-turned-actor was on-hand in Dublin to help launch the new season schedule for UTV Ireland.

But fans of the That’s My Goal singer’s tunes need not fret: the 30-year-old isn’t leaving behind his first love just yet.

“No way am I saying goodbye to the music stuff, not at all,” he told SHEmazing!

Turning 31 in three weeks’ time, he added: “I have a new single – Moving Target – landing on my birthday and I'm still doing gigs at the weekend.”

Shayne, who happily sipped on a Guinness while conducting interviews, had earlier found himself surrounded by Dublin’s very own version of Corrie’s Rovers Return – ordinarily The Bath on Bath Ave.

He was also joined by the soap’s Richard Hawley and Faye Brookes.

Last night, the show’s fans had been treated to a special hour-long live episode – and UTV Ireland said today that some 600,000 people had tuned in.

“It was a lot of pressure but it was great,” Mr Ward, who plays Aidan Connor, said of the Coronation Street special. “The whole cast celebrated afterwards." 

And, understandably, he embraced the live element enthusiastically.

"I also did a show on the West End so yes, it came naturally,” he added. “But so much pressure too – everything really is make or break.”

And while today represented very much a flying visit for Shayne, he said that he ultimately wants to settle down in Ireland. 

He told Goss.ie that Dublin is a “home from home,” and that he holds an Irish passport.  

“I love it,” he added. “My whole family were born and bred here, I’ve always wanted to move here since I was kid, my mum was going to bring us over here when I was 10.

“Who knows, maybe in the future I would love to just settle down somewhere Ireland.”

UTV Ireland shows for the forthcoming season include the likes of the six-part Daniel And Majella’s B&B Road Trip, which hits screens in mid-October.

Lorraine Keane will also be back with the celeb-focused The Interview, and Jenny Buckley will continue to present entertainment bulletin, The Pulse.

Otherwise stables such as I’m A Celebrity, Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, and Graham Norton all feature.

Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote has been signed by Select Model Management and is obviously over the moon.

The absolutely stunning 23-year-old who plays Katie Armstrong in the show certainly gives Michelle Keegan a run for her money in the looks department and it seems Select agree.

The actress, who has already filmed her final scenes in the popular soap, says this is “an absolute dream come true”. Georgia’s not the only one who is thrilled though with the Head of Special Bookings at the modelling agency saying: "Select Special Bookings are excited by this beautiful, talented young actress and see a great future for her in the fashion world."

So alls well that ends well for the star who admitted that it wasn’t her decision to leave the cobbles: “'I was a bit gutted that leaving Corrie wasn’t my decision – it’s like a boyfriend dumping you first – but I’m really excited."

Wonder what Chesney thinks about Joseph’s mum becoming a model … hmmm!

While the iconic British soap doesn’t have the greatest track record when it comes to weddings – it still hasn’t stopped studio creators from allowing fans have their special day on the cobbles.

The studio opened as a temporary visitor attraction in April after the soap’s production moved to a new set, and a tour group are currently running tours of the old set.

But last month, soaps organisers applied for a wedding license which will allow non-religious marriages and civil ceremonies to be performed at the Manchester set.

Let’s just hope that Corrie fans’ big day will end happier than some of the soaps’ famous characters.

Michelle Keegan may have already said her goodbyes to her Coronation Street castmates but, the soapstar’s famous character Tina, is not entirely gone from the hit soap just yet.

It’s been revealed that Tina will make a brief appearance for a special one hour episode during the week.

However, Tina is not rising from the dead, but will be seen instead dancing to music in a video clip on her phone, which will be discovered from her friend Steph.

The phone footage will be shown during the same episode as Tina’s funeral.

Rob Donovan was revealed straight away as Tina’s killer, but still hasn’t confessed to the murder on the soap yet.

Hollyoaks star Stephanie Waring has branded Kym Marsh ”heartless”’ for dating her ex-boyfriend.

Stephanie said Coronation Street actress Kym broke an “unwritten” rule by dating her ex and the father of her baby Dan Hooper.

The actress said she was devastated when she heard that the Corrie star and mum-of-three had been linked to 31-year-old Dan, who she has a three-year-old daughter Lexi-Grace with.

Kym and personal trainer Dan were pictured together hand-in-hand as they made their way into a club on Thursday evening after Kym judged the annual Miss Manchester beauty pageant.

Stephanie said, “She’s carried on with him knowing what it’s done to me. It is killing me.

“I considered her a friend who I’ve known for years. I had no idea that she would ever do anything like this… There is an unwritten rule that if you are friends with somebody you don’t go near their ex partners.”

The 36-year-old star also branded Kym “heartless” for her romance with Dan.

But the Corrie actress has dismissed the claims saying she’s disappointed in her pal for not speaking to her in person.

A spokesperson for Kym said, “Kym and Dan are not in a relationship but have both been single for some time and are entitled to socialise with whomever they wish. Kym has more dignity than to respond further.”
