Earlier this year, Teen Mom OG’s Amber Portwood lost an impressive 40lbs by removing certain carbs and sugar from her diet.

But it seems the 26-year-old reality star’s body transformation did not end there, as she has now confessed to undergoing a “mommy makeover” on Twitter.

Last week, the Indiana native hinted that she was considering going under the knife in an attempt “to feel good again” after commenting on how her body was changed by pregnancy.

Days later, Amber – who gave birth to her now seven-year-old daughter Leah while filming 16 and Pregnant – confirmed that she had followed through with her plan to have surgery.

She tweeted: “Had my mommy makeover and I’m now in recovery.  If you want your post mommy body back or you’ve lost a lot of weight then I would recommend.”

While the author has yet to release post-surgery pictures, Wetpaint has suggested that a “mommy makeover” could involve liposuction and some form of breast lift.

 

Back in January, Amber’s MTV colleague Kailyn Lowry underwent her own “mommy makeover” by having a breast lift, liposuction and Brazilian butt lift, all of which she documented on Snapchat.

Amber has received support from her co-star Tyler Baltierra, who tweeted: “I’m happy for you!  Regardless…You ARE & ALWAYS will be beautiful Amber!  Me & Cate send our love & support.”

If our Irish mothers taught us anything during our hideously awkward teenage years, it's that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

So while you may have longed for Angelina Jolie’s lips, and your mate may have been all about Kate Hudson's smaller pout, the lad in your History class may actually have seen something in your chapped pucker.

And it is, as we all know, incredibly difficult to define the ‘perfect’ face, but it sounds like Harley Street facial cosmetic surgeon Dr Julian De Silva has come pretty damn close.

Based on the requests for famous facial features from 1,000 women about to undergo cosmetic surgery, Dr De Silva has revealed the world’s most desirable face.

And in fairness, it is pretty stunning.

Boasting Keira Knightley’s eyes, Kate Middleton’s nose, Penelope Cruz’s lips and Selena Gomez’s chin, this computer-generated face is an example of the features favoured by those going under the knife.

Commenting on requests he receives from patients at the Centre for Advanced Facial Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery, Dr. De Silva said: “Obviously the challenge for me is to look at their facial proportions and advise whether this will be a good look for them after surgery.”

"Thankfully, a lot of the time, it works very naturally to replicate a nose like the Duchess of Cambridge's or eyelids similar to Keira Knightley's,” he said.

“But on other occasions we do have to amend the plans because there are limits to how far you can improve what nature has given you."

Acknowledging the patient's need to use celebrity features as a template, Dr. De Silva added: "What is wrong with wanting to look like your favourite star? It helps cosmetic surgeons to quickly establish exactly what a patient wants."

Amen.

Hollywood may be all glitz, glam and gleaming smiles on the surface, but at a deeper level many of its best known inhabitants find themselves under serious pressure to defy the effects of aging. 

In a new episode of Running Wild with Bear Grylls former Friends actress Courteney Cox revealed that she was one such star.

During a rather candid conversation – which was filmed right here in Ireland – the 52-year-old actress told the British adventurer that she now regrets having experimented with plastic surgery in the past.

 

She said: “Getting older, I don't think that's the easiest thing.  But I have learned lessons.”

“I think I was trying to keep up with getting older and trying to chase that [youthful look].  It's something you can't keep up with.”

According to Vanity Fair, the mother of one did not reveal which procedures she’s actually undergone, but did admit that at times she was left feeling dissatisfied with the results.

Courteney said: “Sometimes you find yourself trying and then you look at a picture of yourself and you go ‘oh god, I look horrible.”’

“I have done things that I regret and luckily there are things that dissolve and go away.  So that's good because it's not always been my best look”

Thankfully it seems Courteney’s days dabbling with cosmetic enhancement are over as she has since adopted a more natural approach. 

“Now I have a new motto,” she said.  “Just let it be.”

The ever-changing faces of the Geordie Shore girls have been getting a lot of attention lately, but no cosmetically enhanced body part seems to have caught the public eye more than Charlotte Crosby's growing lips.

Because of this, Made In Chelsea star Louise Thompson has decided to have her say on Char's new look.

In a recent interview with New! Magazine, Louise said: “It's really bad – and sad. I've never met her personally but it's not a great image to portray to younger people that are fans.”

 

“Geordie Shore has such a big audience and she was so cool, her personality was everything, and now she looks totally different.”

Not being one to take things lying down, the former Big Brother winner has since responded to Louise’s comments by sarcastically saying: "I'm not really that bothered. Louise puts make-up on her face. That's quite sad.”

According to The Mirror, Charlotte then added: "Is she not happy with the person she is? Bore the f**k off."

 

 

Cue the lip police

Last week the Geordie shared a close up of her bee-stung pout on Instagram with the caption: “Cue the lip police.”

Charlotte claims she hasn’t received lip filler injections since January and says she doesn’t care what people think of her new lips.

Ahh the X Factor – the only talent hunt on TV where the judges are guaranteed to be more dramatic than the contestants.

While you might think reintroducing the winning trio of Nicole Scherzinger, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne to the judging panel would mean smooth sailing for the series, that doesn't necessarily mean Louis will be holding his tongue when it comes to his fellow judges.

In an interview with The Daily Star, the Mayo man discussed Sharon's recently rumoured cosmetic surgery touch-up and said: "She is looking really well. She has got a new face. It’s her third face and it is the best one yet."

“She has had a bit of work done," he claimed, before saying: "I have great fun with her and she does not mind me saying things like that.”  Sounds like Mrs O must be very understanding!

Being a little kinder towards Nicole Scherzinger, Louis said: “Nicole is the best judge. Getting Sharon back was something different, I think. That was a tough job as her and Simon don’t always see eye to eye.”

It seems Louis is in a confessional mood these days as last month he hit out at former X Factor judge Cheryl when he claimed that Nadine Coyle was the only Girls Aloud member that could actually sing.

We can't wait to hear what he comes out with next.

We know Charlotte Crosby is pretty famous since she was one of the original Geordie Shore cast memebers, but let's be honest, she hasn't got a patch on Kylie Jenner.

Charlotte believes that Kylie copied HER when she got lip fillers because Char started the injections before Kylie did.

"I don't think it's the Kylie Jenner effect because I was getting mine done way before Kylie Jenner got trendy," she told the Daily Mail Australia.

"I've been getting my lips done for about two years now, I get them done every five or six months at a place in Newcastle."

This comes just after Charlotte underwent surgery to change her nose four weeks ago.

"No one ever noticed my nose, I never got one comment in my whole entire life saying you've got a bad nose. But I wasn't happy with it, I got it done for me."

The Geordie beauty also said she's becoming a bit obsessed with surgery, admitting to having botox as well. We just hope she doesn't go too far!

Indulging in numerous painful and botched cosmetic procedures since his teenage years, one Modern Family star has now opened up about his battle with body dysmorphia.

Reid Ewing, who plays the slightly dim but totally lovable Dylan, (Haley's on-off boyfriend) has said that he felt completely unattractive when he first arrived in Hollywood.

Indeed, he felt numerous cosmetic surgery procedures were the only way to secure a successful acting career. 

Writing a blog for the Huffington Post yesterday, the actor wrote that his obsession began when he moved to Hollywood in 2008 and that he started to get procedures at the age of 19. 

"I genuinely believed if I had one procedure I would suddenly look like Brad Pitt," he wrote.

Mr Ewing also criticised the four separate doctors who never once questioned his motives for going under the knife at such a young age. Indeed, he says they actually told him he would need some cosmetic surgery in order to be successful. 

"I told the doctor why I felt my face needed cosmetic surgery and told him I was an actor. He quickly determined that large cheek implants would address the issues I had with my face, and a few weeks later I was on the operating table.

“Of the four doctors who worked on me, not one had mental health screenings in place for their patients, except for asking if I had a history of depression, which I said I did, and that was that.”

Reid goes on to talk about the agony he went through while under taking the painful and life changing procedures.

“I woke up screaming my head off from pain, with tears streaming down my face. The doctor kept telling me to calm down, but I couldn't. I couldn't do anything but scream, while he and his staff tried seemingly to hold back their laughter.”

Borrowing money from his parents and grandparents to fund the procedures, Reid continued to get surgeries such as cheek implants and chin implants, the results of which he described as “horrendous”.

The treatments were ongoing throughout his stint on Modern Family – until he finally opted to seek help for his illness in 2012.

“I think people often choose cosmetic surgery in order to be accepted, but it usually leaves them feeling even more like an outsider," he added.

“Before seeking to change your face, you should question whether it is your mind that needs fixing.”

In case you were not one of the many people who downloaded Kylie Jenner’s app then the chances are you missed out on her latest update.

This week the 18-year old reality TV star was giving her opinions on plastic surgery and her own appearance. The teenager, who admitted that she is not against plastic surgery, has once again denied having had breast implants.

She says that her now much more curvy figure is all because of how much weight she has gained:

“No, people- I haven’t gotten breast implants!” she explained, “Everyone is obsessed with that. Truth is, as I’ve gotten older, I’ve gained 15 pounds and my body has changed; I’ve definitely filled out.”

She also added that having a team of professional make-up artists and stylists on hand to help her out whenever she needs to make a public appearance has taught her a number of tricks.

“Working with some of the best makeup artists has taught me a lot of amazing tricks to making me feel more confident and I can’t wait to share them with you guys,” such as her ‘magic trick’ that involved a Victoria’s Secret push-up bra.

“I swear there are things you can do to work on problem areas without having to think about plastic surgery. (Contouring has changed my life!)” Kylie added.

She has admitted however in May of this year that she did have lip fillers and told fans that she is not opposed to the idea of having plastic surgery:

“I’m also someone who says “never say never”,’ she explained. ‘If, down the line, I get to a point where I’m really uncomfortable with something on my body, I’m not against changing it.”

While Kylie may not be against it, mom Kris has admitted that she was not pleased when Kylie got her lip fillers done. As she was still underage at the time, it has made some people curious as to whether the consent came from Kris or Caitlyn Jenner, as one parent would have had to sign off on the procedure.

Kris said about Kylie’s trip to the cosmetic surgeon that she 'wasn't completely supportive,' but also admitted that “once that was done, it's just my kid. I love my kid. We make mistakes.'

A former Geordie Shore star has recently confessed that she had gone too far when it came to her quest for fuller lips.

After having a number of procedures on her lips to have a bigger pout than anyone else, she admitted that she the fillers removed.

Speaking with OK! Magazine she said:  "I went through a stage of having a lot of lip filler when I first started Geordie Shore but I'm having it all taken out soon because they're too big now."

The MTV series star has said that she had some bad luck when it came to cosmetic surgery and has decided to go under the knife in order to fix some previous procedures.

Previously Marnie, 20-year old former Miss Newcastle finalist, has had botched procedures on her lips, breasts and nose.

Her surgeon, Dr Esho from LeBeau Ideal, has also confessed that he is glad she has decided to have the fillers removed. It seems that she had the lip-plumping procedure against his advice.

“I did explain the need for the less is more look but unfortunately she had more filler elsewhere against my advice."

Marnie also had an uplift done on her breasts but will have a reconstructive surgery done on them as her scars have left her “self-conscious”.

A former flame of fellow Geordie Shore star Gary Beadle, Marnie is currently engaged to Ricky Rayment.

Despite recent reports that the two had a pretty explosive row, Marnie does plan on getting married sooner rather than later:

“[We’re getting married] very soon! I’ve always pictured myself being a young mum and bride,” Marnie said. “I want to marry him, I love him. He’s going to be the father of my kids one day.”

A new law regarding female genital mutilation in the UK could see thousands of women with genital piercings classed as crime victims.

The UK's National Health Service is currently expanding their legislation about female genital mutilation, and doctors will now be required to record any labia or clitoris piercing as mutilation, even if the piercing was carried out with the woman's full consent and as a paid-for procedure.

In the majority of cases, genital piercing is a purely cosmetic procedure which many women get to improve sensitivity to the area. However this may not be the case in other parts of the world and the NHS is keen to avoid ambiguity in the law.

"While there are challenges in this area and adult women may have genital piercings, in some communities girls are forced to have them," said  a spokesperson for the UK's Department of Health.

“The World Health Organisation has quite rightly defined this as a form of FGM [female genital mutilation]. We are taking every precaution to record genital piercings that have been done within an abusive context.”

There has already been a lot of uncertainty and debate about whether "designer vagina" cosmetic surgeries, like labia reduction, should be classed as FGM, so this current change in the law will no doubt fuel the discussion even further.

Jennifer Aniston looks amazing, like, all of the time – so it’s no wonder people have speculated about whether or not she’s gone under the knife. However, judging from her latest comments, she is definitely not a fan!

In a recent interview, the star said that she’s learned from the mistakes of her friends when it comes to cosmetic surgery:

“I think what I have been witness to is seeing women trying to stay ageless with what they are doing to themselves. I am grateful to learn from their mistakes because I am not injecting s**t into my face.

“Honestly I see them and my heart breaks. I think ‘Oh god, if you only knew how much older you look.’ They are trying to stop the clock and all you see is an insecure person who won’t let themselves just age. Sometimes I wish I could beg the people I know, who I am very near and dear to, to not touch their face.”

Hmmm… could it be her old friend Courteney she’s referring to? She HAS admitted to being “up for anything” with regards to cosmetic procedures in the past. We doubt she’ll be too happy with Jennifer’s comments though!

How much do you hate putting your bra on every day? Is it enough for you to get one surgically implanted under your skin?

We didn’t think so.

This new cosmetic surgery aims to make it so that you never have to wear a bra again. Instead, you will have silk straps and silicone cups implanted under your skin. This will all be held in place with titanium screws which are DRIVEN INTO YOUR RIBCAGE.

Does that not sound horrific to you? We’d rather wear a bra every minute of every day than do that. 

Apparently three women have successfully undergone the surgery already. You have to wonder though, what’s wrong with a good old-fashioned boob job? Does that not make them perkier aswell?

Also, we'd hate to not have a reason to splash out on pretty bras anymore! We'll be giving this trend a miss, for sure!
