The video promo for Ireland.ie has completely swept us off our feet
We rarely give credit to our small green isle, but looking at this video, there's so much more to Ireland than we even know.
For the week that's in it, the Irish government picked a pretty opportune time to launch Ireland.ie, a new government initiative aimed at making creativity the centre of the public domain in the country.
The Creative Ireland Programme is urging everyone to get involved, and have built five pillars of inspiration and focus.
The five-year plan aims to bring an "enhanced level of coordination, focus and leadership to existing policies and initiatives across national and local government, State agencies, the arts and culture sector, Gaeltacht and Irish language organisations."
In the promotion video, stars such as director Lenny Abrahamson, Bill Whelan, surfer Easkey Britton and Irish fiction writer Anne Enright all take part. The Villagers also lent their talents to the music behind the video.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny debuted the website last night in Washington DC, and it has since been growing great momentum online.

However, it is not only promoting Irish talent, the five minute video also gives a glimpse into the stunning sights of Ireland, and it captured some truly stunning scenes.
Take a few minutes out to enjoy the video, and have a look at the new initiatives Ireland will be rolling out by the end of this year.
