Whether it was in times of friendship, love, loss, ambition, travelling the world or even bulling, The Spice Girls influences the lives of these fans irreversibly and made them who they are today.

The global pop kings will perform brand new songs from their latest album, Spectrum, alongside their greatest hits and all 14 number one songs; Swear It Again, Flying Without Wings, You Raise Me Up and Unbreakable.

Their return to music has resulted in a frenzy of media coverage, not to mention fan hysteria from nostalgic former listeners.

The stadium shows will be their first as a group since playing Croke Park back in 2012.

Westlife have sold over 55 million records worldwide, and are the sole band to have had their first seven singles enter at No. 1 on the UK chart.

Another unbelievable record; the lads have the most singles of any artist to debut at No. 1 in the UK, and have had an amazing 33 No. 1 albums worldwide.

Spectrum, and their latest single Hello My Love, were released in September and was the first since 2011.

Thank the Gods: SO many of us didn't get tickets to see Westlife in Croke Park this July, and were pretty f*cking devastated.

Why should anyone miss out on the nostalgia, the final tour, the emotional rendition of Flying Without Wings? It wouldn't be fair, right, nor JUST we say.

Lucky for everyone involved, EXTRA DEMAND tickets are going onsale next week for one of the biggest gigs of their career.

GAA tickets for their stadium dates at Croke Park on Friday July 5 and Saturday 6 will go onsale this Tuesday February 12 at 9an from Ticketmaster nationwide.

When tickets for The Twenty Tour were first released, they were snapped up ridiculously quick in October, so the announcement comes as unreal news for any fans who missed out.

Westlife have just released a brand new single called Hello My Love, and naturally fans have damn near lost their sanity over it.

The boyband are set to release their first album since 2010's Gravity, and The Twenty Tour is already the group's fastest selling tour of all time.

Mark, Shane, Nicky and Kian will play massive Croke Park dates in July, which has fans ecstatic in expectation.

An INSANE 400,000 tickets were sold in just 48 hours, so you can bet on their new single being played on the radio pretty much 24 hours a day from now on.

Their new tune, Hello My Love, was written by renowned pop hitmakers Ed Sheeran and Steve Mac, so it's bound to be a successful chart-topper.

However, one perceptive Twitter user named Aifric noticed the peculiar lyrics about hair which are featured in the song, and now we're confused.

In case you've been living under a sizeable rock and have missed the furore, the semi-romantic lyrics are;

"'Cause you could have someone without a belly or a temper, perfect teeth, hair growing where's meant to…"

Hair growing where it's meant to?

Aifric commented; "the lyrics to the new Westlife song are…grim," pointing out the strangeness of body hair being featured in a supposed love song.

What exactly is the definition of 'hair growing where it's meant to'? We're fairly sure that all hair grows where it's meant to, it's called EVOLUTION lads. Look it up.

We genuinely hadn't noticed the lyrics, we were too busy blasting the tune and wrangling randomers online to try and get a Croke Park ticket, but now we're investigating the song for science purposes only.

*Strokes beard thoughfully*

Seeing as we're an extremely balanced source, we decided to search for other Westlife fans (or foes) who have expressed opinions on the lyrics.

One Twitter user @ghoulenaloops, wrote that the lyrics go straight to the heart, proclaiming; "That's LOVE'. Alright then, if you say so.

Some fans don't have any issue with the lyrcs, it seems. Maybe the boys meant it in a 'this girl is far too good for me' way?

After all, the chorus suggests that the writer of the song emphasises that his lady is so perfect, that he's punching far above his weight.

"Hello, my love, I've been searching for someone like you for most of my life, happiness ain't a thing I'm used to. You could have fallen hard for anyone, plenty of fish in the sea…
For all of time, now I know, It's just my angel and me."

The boyband essentially specialise in ballads and pop songs revolving around a (female) love interest, but this tune kind of implies that the lad is insecure AF.

studying how to colour one direction GIF

Twitter had some more…interesting… reactions, mainly from fans who choose to ignore the eccentric lyrics out of sheer dedication to the band.

Others hilariously commented on the fact that any decent assumptions which were made about the physique of the Westlife lads were being steadily shattered;

@Wendybird1 wrote that the lyric is, heaven forbid, ruining illusions about Shane Filan's 'perfect body'. The poor woman must be devastated.

Another fan with a 'wee soft spot' for the musical foursome commented that the lads are…*gasp* 'SCRAPING THE BARREL with these lyrics. Ouch, that one hurt.

Typically, society tells men that hair growing in the 'wrong' place translates to back hair, nostril hair and even hair sprouting out of ears.

If we fight back against the patriarchy controlling women's body hair (anyone who has experienced a Hollywood wax knows the PAIN), shouldn't we encourage men to embrace their bodies in their natural state?

im so real i didnt even wax tichina arnold GIF by VH1s Daytime Divas

Society shouldn't have any say in an individual's body and its preference of hair, but perhaps Westlife like a bit of male grooming?

Manscaping has become a major trend for men in recent years, which is essentially the equivalent of a bikini wax.

However, some ladies love a hairier man. Everyone has their own styles and preferences, who are we to define them?

What are your thoughts on the lyrics, innocent male insecurity or just plain body-shaming?

Give us your receipts, our scientific investigation on the mane matter rages on…

After news of Westlife's reunion shook the internet, reports are flooding in that the iconic 90s boyband will be taking to the stage in Croke Park.

While we're delighted that Dublin plays host to some of the biggest names in music on a regular basis, if you're not from the Big Smoke, the costs of concert attending can get steep.

There's the cost of getting up to the capital from wherever in the country you hail, getting back home again AND if you're relying on public transport, there's a chance you might have to shell out for an overnight stay after the concert.

Irish Rail is taking steps to combat this, and with Taylor Swift taking to Croke Park stadium this Friday and Saturday, the train authority has decided to add additional services to run after the concert to get you home safe.

If you're from Galway or Cork, you;'re in luck, here are the times of the additional services after the gig:

  • Dublin Heuston to Galway 00:30hrs
  • Dublin Heuston to Cork 00:40hrs

As for getting to the gig, an extra train at 9.05am has been added from Tralee to Dublin Heuston.

If you're planning on getting any of the extra trains, it's worth noting that pre-booking as a must.

If you're lucky enough to be going to the T Swift gigs on Friday or Saturday, there are a few things you need to know before you put on your red lipstick and head to Croker.

First off, doors are at 5:45pm, Charlie XCX goes on at 6:30pm, and she's followed by Camilla Cabello at 7:15pm (though these times may change slightly because of increased security measures).

Attendees are advised to arrive with plenty of time to spare, and no later than 8pm. You'll need to extra time to go through the security check before all the acts start. No queueing is allowed before the gates open since it could disrupt the residents in the neighbourhood.

And sorry to all of you backpack fans – rucksacks and large handbags should be left at home. There are also no cloakroom or storage facilities available at the site, and bags can't be left at entrances or surrounding areas.

Security checks will be going on, so those who come with backpacks or large bags in tow may be refused entry or experience a bit of a delay. It's recommended that your bag is about A5 size (or 5.8 by 8.3 inches). Everything will be subject to a search.

Don't forget that it's an outdoor event, so come prepped for the weather but leave your umbrella at home as they're not allowed.

Objects that are also forbidden include:

  • Glass or cans
  • Alcohol
  • Garden furniture
  • Selfie sticks
  • Flares
  • Professional cameras
  • Cameras with a detachable lens
  • Video cameras
  • Audio recording devices
  • iPads
  • GoPros

For the full list of prohibited items, you can check here.

Kids under five aren't permitted as the promoter says large outdoor concerts aren't a suitable environment for them.

Under 14s aren't allowed in the pitch standing area, and under 16s must have a parent or guardian with them at all times wherever they are.

The promoters and An Garda Síochána can refuse admission to anyone under the influence of alcohol.

Re-admissions are not allowed, so be sure that if you leave the concert you're really ready to go.

And though we get wanting to beat the traffic, it's requested that concert-goers not rush to the exits after Taylor is done dazzling them.

Speaking of traffic, it's recommended that you give yourself an extra two hours travelling time getting both to and from the event.

Fans are all encouraged to walk, bike, or take public transit to the venue (but if you must drive, please carpool).

Irish Rail will operate additional services on both nights, including a Dublin Heuston to Galway train at 12:30am and other trains to be confirmed. You can check on additional services at their website.

If you're looking for more info on the event (including approach routes), check out the public notice here. You can also email customercare@mcd.ie if you have any remaining questions.

So stay safe, leave the tote bag at home, and enjoy yourself!
