Daniel Craig

We're shaken, but not stirred, with the latest Bond 25 news.

Prince Charles has reportedly been invited to join Daniel Craig in the next superspy movie, according to The Sun.

The heir to the throne "discussed" a potential cameo in the next flick, while visiting the set of the film alongside 007 stars Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes and Naomie Harris.

The publication claims that' “When Prince Charles visited the film set a few weeks ago, a cameo was discussed. Now he is considering it.”

The source added;

“They loved the buzz around the Queen’s appearance alongside Daniel Craig and think Charles could top even that. He is the epitome of everything British, perfect for a cameo role and Bond fans worldwide would absolutely love it.”

Prince Charles has a strong connection to the British intelligence network. The Prince of Wales has been Royal Patron to the intelligence Services since 2011, which include M15.

Charles' mother Queen Elizabeth’s previous Bond cameo was at the 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony, and received rave reviews so he'd have big shoes to fill.

A convincing body double of the Queen made a dramatic entrance to the London stadium by throwing herself out of a helicopter and parachuting down into the tournament.

Another insider also told The Sun that if Prince Charles turns down the opportunity, then “Harry and Wills could be in producers’ sights next"

The source continued;

Kensington Palace recently revealed that the Duke of Cambridge has undertaken a three week internship with MI6, MI5 and GCHQ, which Prince William called “a truly humbling experience”.

“Spending time inside our security and intelligence agencies, understanding more about the vital contribution they make to our national security, was a truly humbling experience,” he said

He continued;

“These agencies are full of people from everyday backgrounds doing the most extraordinary work to keep us safe. They work in secret, often not even able to tell their family and friends about the work they do or the stresses they face. They are driven by an unrivalled patriotism and dedication to upholding the values of this country. We all owe them deep gratitude for the difficult and dangerous work they do.”

Bond 25 is due out in spring of 2020, though production issues have halted production numerous times.

Daniel Craig received an ankle injury on set which required him to have surgery, and director Danny Boyle left the film over creative issues. Cary Joji Fukunaga has replaced him in the director's chair.

Another source told The Sun, “Bond 25 producers are desperate to sign Prince Charles. It is no secret that the film has suffered a number of setbacks but landing a royal could be just what the movie needs.”

Rami Malek is everywhere at the moment, deservedly so. Fresh from his Oscar-winning role as Freddie Murcury in Bohemian Rhapsody, the next role is always a tricky one for those who win the prestigious award.

The film industry are keeping an eye on his next move, and Deadline is now reporting that Malek is in talks to become the next James Bond villain. This is pure perfection in casting, if we do say so ourselves.

If you've seen him in Mr. Robot, his stoic expressions and ability to embody mysteriousness is ideal for a walled-off and deceptive villain. Oh, and did we mention the iconic Lupita Nyong’o is might be courted as Bond 25's female lead?

Malek is reportedly closing the deal to act opposite Daniel Craig in Craig's last run as the renowned MI5 agent. Variety was first to mention Malek’s talks, with Cary Fukunaga directing the flick.

Nyong’o won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar in 2013 for 12 Years A Slave, and has played her role in blockbusters like the unbelievable Best Picture nominated Black Panther. She's also starring in Jordan Peele's new genre film Us.

The 007 bad-guy role is always an incredible actor, do we remember Javier Bardem's turn? *Shivers* That man did too good a job of acting evil, it's convincing AF. We're dying to see what Malek will do with the role.

Christoph Waltz also played a Bond nemesis, with both Waltz and Bardem having their own Oscar-winning performances before transforming into treacherous deceptives.

Also joining Bond 25 alongside Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes as M, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny and Ben Whishaw as Q is the talented actor Billy Magnussen.

The hyper-charming American is best known for his roles in Velvet Buzzsaw, Game Night and a hugely unique turn in Maniac alongside Emma Stone and Jonah Hill.

He's playing a CIA agent, and the eye candy is strong with this one.

He’s going to play a CIA agent, which essentially means he’ll be sent in to float James Bond when he inevitably runs out of money and pick up the pieces after he runs amok in a glamorous foreign location.

Magnussen and Malek in the same film might just send us over the edge; both talented and gorgeous humans. Wow, we can't WAIT for Bond 25 now, but a woman needs to be given the MI5 badge.

Or the role of a villain, seriously. Those men get all the juicy roles.

First of all, Sandra Oh is a NATIONAL TREASURE who must be protected at all costs.

The Killing Eve protagonist is the first actress of Asian descent in a shocking 39 years to win the Golden Globe for best leading TV actress. That's not where history-making ended for the co-host of the awards.

To be exact, Oh broke THREE records last night, and also succeeded in making everyone cry during her opening monologue.

sandra oh its an honor just to be asian GIF by Emmys

She was the FIRST person of Asian descent to be asked to host the awards ceremony, with the gig normally going to a white male, except for Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's iconic three-year-run from 2013 until 2015.

Hilarious Brooklyn 99 and Saturday Night Live alum Andy Samberg co-hosted the Globes alongside Oh, with the actress declaring during their opening speech that;

“I said yes to the fear of being on this stage tonight because I wanted to be here to look out into this audience and witness this moment of change.” OKAY NOW WE'RE IN TEARS.

She witnessed that outstanding moment of change later on, when she won Best Actress in a TV Drama for the BBC America fixture Killing Eve, making her the first woman of Asian descent to win more than one Globe.

She won her first award in 2006 for her ground-breaking run as badass heart surgeon Cristina Yang on Grey's Anatomy. BUT SHE WASN'T DONE.

Sandra became the first woman of Asian descent in 39 years to win best actress in a TV drama, with the last actress (Yoko Shimada) winning in 1980. Thank the Gods, Oh will return to Killing Eve for season two on April 7.

Emma Stone shouting an apology at Sandra Oh for whitewashing was a major gas. We love you Emma, never change. Except for personal growth regarding diversity maybe…

The 76th Annual Golden Globes awards was a ceremony of laughs, drama (what else) and celeb moments, and we made the ultimate list of winners and snubs.

Freddie Mercury (semi) biopic Bohemian Rhapsody quite surprisingly took home the coveted Best Picture gong, with Rami Malek also winning Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture for the Drama category.

Nicole Kidman later ignored him onstage in what was possibly the most awkward moment of anyone's lives ever. Literally.

Musical A Star Is Born received by far the most snubs of the evening, only winning the Best Song category for Shallow after being nominated for five awards overall. BUT GAGA?!? SHE A STAR.

help greys anatomy help me sandra oh cristina yang GIF

Glen Close took home the Best Actress Globe for The Wife, beating Lady Gaga for the achievement. Bodyguard actor Richard Madden was given the Best Actor award for his BBC role about the Home Secretary's security agent.

He also broke our hearts by saying that all the talk of him playing James Bond were mere "rumours." PLEASE make it happen honey. Please.

Political biopic Vice, which chronicles the later life of  American Vice President Dick Cheney, shocked the audience by losing the Best Picture – Musical or Comedy award to Green Book.

The award for Best Supporting Actor was given to Green Book actor Mahershala Ali; the film also took home the Best Screenplay gong. Christian Bale's award was Vice's only win of the night, despite six nominations.

Hilariously, a girl who was serving Fiji water the entire night has become the internet's new meme, for the purpose of living her best life;

Olivia Colman deservedly won Best Actress – Musical or Comedy for her black comedy performance in The Favourite, which also lost out on five awards.

Roma predictably won Best Foreign Film, which was a popular choice, as well as its director Alfonso Cuarón being honoured with Best Director.

Lady Gaga's dress arguably was the highlight of the show, aside from the goddess that is Sandra Oh, of course. No, we're not finished talking about her. REPRESENTATION MATTERS, PEOPLE.

Her hair matches her dress, and it looks God Damn Stunning. We're shooketh.

People were NOT happy that Gaga lost the Best Actress award to Glen Close, but they were doubly annoyed that Mark Ronson arguably stole her thunder during their acceptance speech for the Best Song award.

amy poehler mansplaining GIF by Golden Globes

Despite co-writing Shallow with Gaga and two others, Ronson did nearly all of the speaking while accepting the award.

Of course, there were cringey moments galore. The first one came on the red carpet when E! News presenter Giuliana Rancic basically made major flops while interviewing Debra Messing.

Next came when the hosts tried to give everyone in the audience flu shots, and NOBODY wanted needles on camera. Nobody. Especially not Willem Dafoe.

Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh's opening monologue was a tad cheesy, but they had to navigate a minefield of not insulting anyone there or making any mistakes about diversity.

Seeing as Kevin Hart's Oscars hosting gig is in the toilet following the revelation of old homophobic tweets, the duo kindly offered to take his place.

Glen Close's face when she beat Lady Gaga was also a big LOL, considering she clearly was just as shocked herself that she beat the ENIGMA Mother Monster.

A highlight of the night was when current James Bond Daniel Craig took a selfie with Idris Elba, a rumoured contender to take his place.

We swooned, they swooned; in conclusion, everyone swooned.

Ben Whishaw scooped up a Best Supporting Actor award for shouted out a tribute to 'queer hero' Norman Scott in his acceptance speech.

The British actor won for his portrayal of Scott in BBC drama A Very English Scandal during the glittering occasion, and he is just adorable. SO pure. Protect him.

Another surprise came in the Best Animated Film category, when Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse beat The Incredibles 2 for the desired award.

That's the ultimate round-up, folks.

There was glamour, there was snubbing, and there was cringe personified. We can't wait for next year already…

The powers that be have started rumours…rumours that we must investigate.

The theories over who would take over the role from Daniel Craig have been changing by the day, with Tom Hiddleston, Jamie Dornan and Aidan Turner being linked to the franchise over the last year.

Whispers in the film industry’s gossip crew are now reporting that actor Richard Madden could be taking up the mantle of the newest James Bond.

Sources in the tabloids are hinting that the former Game of Thrones actor (RIP Robb Stark, gone but not forgotten) and star of recent BBC phenomenon Bodyguard is top of executive producer Barbara Broccoli's wishlist for the role when Daniel Craig retires his blue steel eyes and tuxedo.

He certainly has a licence to thrill based on the excitement he caused from his turn as David Budd, protector of the fictional Home Secretary in the popular British show Bodyguard, which has recently announced will be coming to Netflix at the end of the month.

Eon Productions are expected to approach Madden regarding the iconic protagonist over the next few days, according to the Daily Mail.

Popular The Wire actor Idris Elba was previously thought to be the favourite frontrunner for the role, which would have been a major progression in diverse representation, but he broke everyone’s heart by recently quashing any Bond rumours.

Walking the London red carpet at the premiere of his directorial debut Yardie, Elba curtly ruled himself out of the competitive process of Bond auditions, despite feverish speculation surrounding him previously.

Danny Boyle has only just stepped down from the post of director of the 25th Bond film, citing “creative differences” with MGM.

It will be Daniel Craig’s fifth and final film as the infamous MI6 agent. True Detective mastermind Cary Fukunaga has been hired as Boyle’s replacement, with the film scheduled for February 2020.

We have faith that Richard Madden is the man to reignite the Bond franchise, I mean just look at that jawline?

Congratulations are in order!

Actress Rachel Weisz and her husband of six years, Daniel Craig, are expecting their first child together.

“Daniel and I are so happy. We’re going to have a little human. We can’t wait to meet him or her. It’s all such a mystery," the expectant mum shared with The New York Times, who broke the story.

She disclosed to the newspaper that she'll be showing soon.

The About a Boy actress is already mum to 11-year-old son Henry Aronofsky, who she shares with her ex, American filmmaker Darren Aronofsky (of mother! fame).

Our current James Bond also has a child from marriage to actress Fiona Loudon: 26-year-old daughter Ella Craig.

We are so happy for them! Congrats to the couple on their growing family!

Despite saying he’d rather “slash [his] wrists” than play Bond again, Daniel Craig has fans thinking he could be sticking with the franchise after all.

Just one month on from sources claiming the actor could get $150 million to reprise the coveted role, Daniel seems to have changed his tune on 007.

Speaking at the New Yorker festival over the weekend, the 48-year-old said: “I’ve got the best job in the world doing Bond. The things I get to do on a Bond movie and the type of work it is, there’s no other job like it.”

Furthering the suggestion that he could appear in a fifth James Bond movie, he continued: “I love this job.  I get a massive kick out of it.  And if I can keep getting a kick out of it, I will.”

Bond executive producers recently told the BBC that despite the likes of Tom Hiddleston and James Norton expressing an interest in playing the spy, Daniel is still “absolutely the first choice”.

Late last year Daniel Craig confessed in the bluntest of terms that he was more than ready to hang up his Bond boots once Spectre hit screens.

But despite the actor’s obvious lack of interest in the role – and the fact that everyone from Tom Hiddleston to James Norton is mad only to become his successor – it seems Bond bosses still only have eyes for Dan.

According to The Express, the good people at Sony Studios are willing to offer the 48-year-old actor $150 million for his part in playing the famous spy just twice more.

A source said the British actor “has played a genius hand” by publicly dismissing the part, as in doing so he has made Bond producers desperate to have him reprise the leading role.

The source revealed: “The studio is desperate to secure the actor’s services while they phase in a younger long-term successor.”

“Everyone knows how much executives adore him, and the idea of losing him at such a crucial time in the franchise isn’t an option as far as all the studio honchos are concerned.”

By the sounds of things the studio will not be taking no for an answer if they can avoid it as the source explained “they’re prepared to pay a king’s ransom” to convince Daniel to get involved.

“Then they will shoot two more films, which will be made virtually back-to-back, preferably featuring Daniel as 007 before he passes the figurative baton to someone else for a third movie that will mark the start of the new era,” they continued.

While it is still unclear as to whether or not Daniel will change his mind, for $150 mil if he doesn’t want the part we’d be more than happy to take it.

In a rare break away from royal dinners and community appearances, Kate Middleton and Prince William took to the red carpet in London last night for the premiere of Spectre.

Wearing one of her favourite designers, Jenny Packham, the Duchess embraced the glamour of the evening by going for a style that was certainly more daring than usual.

Her sheer duck-egg blue gown featured a draped neckline and an open back, but Kate worked the sexy look like a pro.

The dress, with its embellished waistband and sleeves, was teamed with some seriously high-class accessories – glittering gold Jimmy Choo stilettos and Robinson Pelham diamond earrings worth a staggering €20,000.

Also in attendance at the CTBF Royal Film Performance was Prince Harry, who spent some time getting to know Daniel Craig and his wife Rachel Weisz.

Despite arriving on the arms of his co-stars Lea Seydoux and Monica Bellucci, Daniel couldn't keep his hands off Rachel, stopping to cuddle and kiss her on the way into the theatre.

Even when she's not wowing at red carpet events, Kate still manages to be very on-trend indeed – earlier in the weekend she rocked a space print Tabitha Webb dress that will no doubt sell out over the next few days.

When it comes to style, our Kate can do no wrong it seems.

Daniel Craig is Bond through-and-through, as he showed during a recent interview when he shut down a reporter with nothing more than an icy stare.

ITV's Sarah Powell was chatting to Daniel ahead of the release of Spectre when she asked him to do his signature Bond "pout."

Fans of the film franchise will know of Daniel's intense, pouty-lipped look, but it seems Daniel himself wasn't aware of the hype he'd created.

Probably because that pout is actually just… his normal face:

So when Sarah repeatedly asked Daniel to "do the pout," he was none to happy.

At first he gently refused, but once she brought it up again, she was swiftly told, "I think you need to move on."

Ouch. Check out the cringe-inducing clip above.

Daniel Craig is apparently more than ready to hand over his James Bond title.

His fourth turn at portraying the iconic spy Spectre will be released this month. While some would think that it might be difficult to hand over the role and see someone else take over, Daniel is actually kind of over it.

When asked how he would feel about doing another Bond film, his answer was pretty straight forward:

“I'd rather break this glass and slash my wrists. No, not at the moment."

He told Time Out London that his “over it at the moment” and all he really wants to do it “move on”.

He first took on the role back in 2006 and the 47-year old believe that at this point the creative drive for the film franchise has run “dry”.

"If I did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money," he added.

He still believes it was “ludicrous” that he was cast in the role in the first place and isn’t entirely sure where the next films could go- “space, maybe?” was his suggestion.

He also is not at all interested in the great big internet debate about who will take over after he steps back from the franchise.

“Look, I don't give a f—. Good luck to them!" he said.

"All I care about is that if I stop doing these things we've left it in a good place and people pick it up and make it better.”

Does he have any advice for the next 007?

“Embrace it. Some clichéd line like that. But no, just make sure you're great.”

We're on the verge of a brand new James Bond: Spectre will hit cinemas at the end of the next month.

And after the success of Skyfall in 2012, it's certainly highly anticipated by fans of the Ian Fleming franchise.

However, rumour is also abound that the 2015 release will represent Daniel Craig's fourth and final portrayal of the iconic British spy.

The likes of Londoner Idris Elba and Kerryman Michael Fassbender have already been linked to the role, but if recent reports are to be believed, it seems that producers already have their heart set on another candidate: Damian Lewis of Homeland fame.

The Sunday Mirror claimed yesterday that the 44-year-old has been given an "unofficial nod" from producers of the movies, and that he is very much their first choice.

A source told the paper: "If Daniel Craig leaves, it's Damian Lewis who will be crowned the Bond.

"He is seen as an all-round international star who is perfect for the role. As he ages, he looks increasingly suave and sophisticated.

"Bond bosses are now convinced Damian is their man."

However, it is the fans themselves that might need more convincing.

"No!!!!! Cannot see that working. He has zero charisma. Idris Elba would be the best choice," stated one emphatically, while others said that his ginger hair alone would rendered him unsuitable.

Although, as another highlighted, Mr Craig leaves big shoes to fill: "Daniel Craig had done such a good job whoever follows him has an almost impossible task," they offered.

Tom Hardy fans, get ready to go crazy!

The Mad Max star has been announced as the new favourite to take over Daniel Craig as James Bond.

Daniel is set to be replaced after his final outing as the secret agent in the upcoming Spectre movie.

The British actor, who will next be seen playing both Kray brothers in the new movie Legend, has made his way up in the rankings in recent weeks, moving from 6-1 to 4-1 favourite.

He is now just behind The Wire's Idris Elba and Homeland's Damien Lewis, who are tied at the number one spot.

The soon-to-be daddy would certainly be a very interesting choice to play Bond, as he is a big rougher around the edges than the stereotypical 007. However, he's no stranger to play a 'posh' role, as we have seen in Inception… He also fills out a tuxedo quite well, might we add.

Tom is also something of an action star, having transformed his body numerous times for his roles in movies such as Bronson and The Dark Knight Rises

Other actors in the top ten include Michael Fastbender, Orlando Bloom and Dominic West.

We might have a tiny crush on Tom here in SHEmazing! Towers so we're hoping he takes the top spot!
