But of course: James Franco is writing a book about Lana Del Ray
Ah James Franco, one of our must favourite celebs and also the most likely to make us whisper ‘wtf, James?’ every now and then.
Did you know though, that not only is he quite the accomplished actor and one fraction of a genetically blessed family, but he is also now an author?
We’re not just talking about his possibly fictional possibly real life accounts of his adventures with Lindsay Lohan, Bungalow 89, either. James has now turned his attention, and affections apparently towards none of other than Lana del Ray.
The 37-year old has put together a short book about his friend/muse Lana titled: Flip-Side: Real and Imaginary Conversations with Lana del Rey. It is 100 pages long, and published by Random House.
The book was co-written with photographer David Shields, who is a New York Times best-selling author and has previously collaborated with James.
If you thought this was a little spontaneous then let us remind you it is not the first time James has found himself inspired by the Summertime Sadness singer. In September 2014 he wrote a poetic ode to the 30-year old called Shades of Cool for V Magazine.
He is apparently drawn to her unapologetically “weird” personality, naturally.
"The only difference between Lana and me is her haunting voice. That carries everything. The voice is the central axle around which the spokes of everything else extend," he wrote in the 2014 piece.
His new book is due to be released in March 2016, and we wait in curiosity until then to find out what the 100-page tribute will include.
In the meantime feel free to examine some mildly blurry polaroid’s of the duo which appear on the book’s cover. We can’t wait.
