Bobbi Kristina Brown has died aged 22 at a hospice facility in Atlanta.

The daughter of musicians Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston was surrounded by her family at the time of her death. "She is finally at peace in the arms of God," they said afterwards.

On January 31, Ms Brown was found unresponsive face-down in a bath-tub at the Atlanta townhouse she once shared with her mother. Police believe she was underwater for anywhere between two and five minutes.

Paramedics were able to resuscitate her at the time, and she was placed in a medically induced coma and on life support.

Although there were numerous conflicting reports and updates relating to her condition, it is believed that she never regained consciousness following the incident.

She was initially treated in hospital, but when her condition deteriorated further, she was moved to a hospice to die on June 24.

"Despite the great medical care at numerous facilities, Bobbi Kristina Brown's condition has continued to deteriorate," read a family statement late last month. "As of today, she has been moved into hospice care."

Her boyfriend, Nick Gordon, was earlier this month served with a €9m civil law suit in relation to Bobbi Kristina's accident.

Mr Gordon, who recently completed a stint in rehab, is accused of punching his girlfriend in the face, knocking out a front tooth and dragging her upstairs by her hair.

It is also alleged that he "routinely" transferred funds "into an account controlled solely by him" without having her consent or authorisation.

He faces no criminal charges yet, though police have said that they continue to investigate the circumstances of her hospitalisation. That investigation could now become one of murder.

At the time of Whitney's death, Bobbi Kristina, then 18, was so distraught that she needed to be hospitalised. "She wasn't only a mother, she was a best friend,' she told Oprah in the same year.

"Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away July, 26 2015, surrounded by her family," a short Houston-Brown statement read this morning.

"She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months."

It is hard to say goodbye. On Sunday, July 26, Bobbi Kristina Brown made her transition peacefully. The family thanks…

Posted by Whitney Houston on Sunday, 26 July 2015

One family source had recently told PEOPLE that Bobbi Kristina was "skin and bones" just prior to moving to hospice.

"She has been losing weight, she's been losing hair. They were taking good care of her, but she has no muscle tone at all.

"There has been some worry that her organs are shutting down," the source said.

Bobbi Kristina, whose parents divorced when she was 14, was the sole benefactor of Whitney's estate when the superstar singer died at the age of 48 in February 2012. Ms Houston was also found face-down in a bathtub – at a Beverly Hills hotel.

Cocaine and a heart condition were later ruled to have contributed to her early death, which was deemed to be an accident.

Although Whitney is one of the best-selling artists of all time, her wealth was significantly reduced by financial trouble in the latter years of her life. Indeed, it is believed that Ms Brown inherited a relatively modest sum of €18.5m.

However, since her death the singer's back catalogue has proved extremely popular, and her estate rakes in millions annually through royalties.

Nevertheless, Bobbi Kristina, who had struggled with her own substance abuse issues, has never been in receipt of a lump sum of cash: Ms Houston decreed that her daughter should be given ten percent of her fortune at age 21, a 30 percent at 25 and then the remainder at age 30.

Less than a week before she was found unconscious, Ms Brown had taken to Twitter to express how much she missed her mother in the run-up to the three-year anniversary of the singer's death.

"Miss you mommy," she wrote, also using the hashtag #anniversary. "Loving you more every sec."

Meanwhile, well-known names from the world of entertainment have been quick to express their sorrow this morning: Oprah Winfrey, Kylie Jenner, Dr Phil McGraw, and Missy Elliot are among those offering their condolences.

Since the finale of season five, Game of Thrones fans have been going crazy speculating whether or not Jon Snow will be returning to the show.

But a recent sighting of Kit Harrington in Belfast has led people to presume that this means Jon Snow will in fact be making a comeback.

The popular character of Jon Snow was killed off at the end of the last series, leaving the world in total shock. GOT fans immediately pointed out that Melisandre, the priestess of the Lord of Light with the ability to resurrect the dead, was present during the awful scene.

It has also been noted that the 28-year-old actor has maintained his long hair which he grew specifically for the show.

And now, he has been spotted in Belfast, the home to the Game of Throne’s set, just in time for the filming of the sixth season.

Of course, there is always the possibility that Kit could be over in Belfast with the rest of his co-stars to shoot a funeral scene, but we are determined to remain optimistic.

A young man aged 21 died in her pool over the weekend.

And while the exact details surrounding the tragedy remain unknown, Demi Moore and her family were not at their Beverly Hills home at the time.

Now, the 52-year-old actress has responded with a statement.

Daughter Tallulah Willis in the family pool recently

Issued to PEOPLE, it reads: “I am in absolute shock.

"I was out of the country travelling to meet my daughters for a birthday celebration when I got this devastating news.

"The loss of a child is an unthinkable tragedy and my heart goes out to this young man's family and friends," she continued. "I ask that you please respect the privacy of all concerned during this sensitive time."

TMZ first broke the story, and the Los Angeles Times now says that police have identified the deceased as LA-native Edenilson Steven Valle.

Neighbours in the upmarket area also apparently told TMZ that pool-parties have been regularly hosted at the house by Ms Moore’s three children: Rumer, 26, Scout, 24, and Tallulah, 21, whose father is the actor Bruce Willis.

The younger two sisters are believed to be in New York at the moment, while Rumer has been taking part in the Strictly Come Dancing live tour, and was seen in LAX on Friday.

Posted on Instagram earlier this month, Tallulah shared a late-night snap showing a crowded swimming filled with guests and inflatable toys.

"This picture doesn't do justice to the glory that was our pool party last night," she wrote at the time.

The Los Angeles Police Department told PEOPLE that the dead man had attended a small gathering of just five or six, and that they do not suspect foul play. It is believed the soiree was held by Demi's assistant.

It seems that drowning is the cause of death, though a post-mortem is being carried out shortly to confirm this.

Friends and family report that Mr Valle did not know how to swim. He was found floating in the deep end and emergency services suspect that he had been in the water about ten to 15 minutes.

Firefighters were dispatched to the home at 5.17am on Sunday, but the young man was sadly pronounced dead on the scene.

Last week, it was announced that Bobbi Kristina Brown would be moved from hospital into hospice care as her health has sadly continued to worsen.

It has been reported that the 22-year-old is now off life support and is no longer being administered medication to help keep her alive.

However, it has now emerged that someone has taken a recent picture of the young woman, who is believed to be dying, and is currently trying to sell it to major US-based websites.

TMZ has now revealed that it was approached with the image, but that they declined to purchase it.

The website said: "The photo was shopped to us… we passed. The pic is being shopped to a multitude of magazines and websites, and we're told there's interest."

The photo in question was taken earlier this week at the hospice facility near Atlanta where the daughter of Whitney Houston is staying. In the picture there is a woman, believed to be a family member, leaning over Bobbi Kristina.

TMZ reported that the person who took this photo is an "extended family member".

Bobbi Kristina has not regained consciousness since she was discovered face-down and unresponsive in a bathtub at her home in Atlanta, Georgia, at the end of January.

An Irish woman in her 50s is feared among the 28 dead following a terrorist attack in Tunisia today.

The death is yet to be confirmed officially, but RTE is reporting that she is from Meath.

Her husband, who was holidaying with her, has already been in touch with authorities in Ireland, according to thejournal.ie, which cites Fine Gael TD Ray Butler's constituency office as its source.

Sundayworld.com carries quotes from Ray Butler, who says he has spoken to the woman's husband. "He is absolutely distraught," the politician stated. “This was the hardest phone call I’ve ever taken. My heart goes out to the family who are enduring unthinkable grief.”

Local radio in Meath has also reported the death.

Today's attack, which began at around noon, took place at two busy hotels in the popular seaside resort town of Sousse.

Abbeytravel.ie, Budgettravel.ie and Sunway.ie all offer packages to the area from Irish airports.

As well as the 28 fatalities, another 36 are believed to be injured, according to Tunisian national television. The dead are said to include tourists from Britain, Germany and Belgium.

Witnesses to the attack have been expressing their fear and astonishment via social media platforms such as Twitter and Instagram.

So far, no organisation has claimed responsibility for the incident. However, the region is hugely popular with European sun-seekers and boasts numerous nightclubs and bars – something which Islamist jihadists condemn.

Tourism is a major source of income for the Tunisian government, and the country is widely viewed as the most liberal in the region.

Still, in March, a terrorist attack at the famed Bardo National Museum in central Tunis killed some 24 people – including four Italian tourists, three French and one Briton. Many others were injured.

Just a week ago, former professional basketball player Lamar Odom awoke to tragic news: his best friend Jamie Sangouthai had died from drug-related activity.

The news devastated him and his estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian – who even missed her niece North West's second birthday party due to the tragedy.

However, it has now emerged that further sadness has befallen the duo: another close friend of Lamar's, Bobby Heyward , died on Saturday. Initial reports also suggest that drugs were responsible. He was aged 30.

Just four days ago, Bobby had paid tribute to Jamie on Instagram. In what would be his last post before his death, he said: "#RIP To my big brother Jamie who always brought light into any room he walked into."

He also included the hashtag #BandOfBrothers. The accompanying image shows Jamie and Bobby together, along with Lamar.

A source tells Us Weekly that Odom is now "beside himself" and that he remained close to Mr Heyward right up until his death.

Bobby also made contact with Khloe last week shortly after Jamie died. He was apparently keen to offer his support: the 30-year-old reality TV star is said to have taken the news particularly badly.

Jamie, a former classmate of Mr Odom, appeared several times on episodes of Khloe & Lamar, a Keeping Up With Kardashians spin-off which aired for two series in 2011 and 2012.

He also acted as a best man at the Odom-Kardashian wedding in September 2009.

The authorities in the US have named the six Irish J1 students who died today in California.

They are: Ashley Donohoe, 22; Olivia Burke, 21; Eoghan Culligan, 21; Niccolai Schuster, 21; Lorcan Miller, 21,  and Eimear Walsh 21.

It is believed that their families are already en route to the US and will arrived there later this evening.

The well-known St Mary's College in Rathmines tweeted at around 8.30pm that "many of the students involved" in the tragedy were past pupils who sat their Leaving Certs in 2012.

RTE News also reported that the young people are thought to be studying at UCD.

Speaking from California, Philip Grant, Irish Consul General for Ireland, this evening thanked those involved in the incident for their assistance.

"On behalf of the people and government of Ireland I want to express to you the deep gratitude we have to the city of Berkeley; to the police and the fire services, to the emergency services who responded last night."

He continued: "We have thousands of Irish students who come to the States every summer on an exchange programme – they work here and they gain valuable experience here.

"They get to experience America and it's a wonderful opportunity and a wonderful time in many of these young people's lives.

"For many of my countrymen it's a formative experience and to have this happen at the start of this season is something that has left us all frozen in shock and in disbelief."

He added that for a small country like Ireland "very few had been left untouched" by what had happened.

As well as the six dead, another eight were injured – some of them seriously – when a balcony on the fourth floor of an apartment building collapsed.

It's believed that the 21st birthday party of an Irish visitor was taking place in the apartment at the time of the accident, which occurred around 12.40am local time (8.40am Irish time).

The building in question has been named as Liberty Gardens, used as student accommodation for UC Berkeley students during term time.

Apartments like this are often rented out to J1 students during the summer months.

More than 8,000 students from Ireland travel to the US annually via the visa programme.

A boat captain has been killed after being speared by a swordfish in Hawaii.

Randy Llanes had been trying to catch the 18kg, 1.8metre fish with a spear gun, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

The 47-year-old experienced seaman was in the water at Honokohau Harbor on the west coast of the Big Island when he spotted the broadbill swordfish.

When the animal was hit with a hunting weapon, it began to thrash about – prompting the fisherman to jump into the water alongside it. However, amid the struggle, it fatally punctured Mr Llanes’s chest.

Another reported suggested that "the fish got wrapped around a mooring anchor, came back and swam at him".

Emergency crews attempted CPR, but the man later died in hospital from the puncture wound.

"Randy has been fishing all his life," his friend explained to local media. "He's a pretty accomplished fisherman. He actually caught a 500lb [226kg] marlin yesterday."

Hawaii supplies much of the rest of the US with swordfish catch. The fish is fast-moving and predatory, often using its long, distinctive bills to attack prey.

Andrew Rossiter, director of the Waikiki Aquarium, told Hawaiian news agency KHON that the carnivore may have been pursuing a school of smaller fish into shallow water or was injured.

Heidi Dewar, a fisheries research biologist with NOAA Fisheries in California, told the National Geographic that reports of swordfish injuring or killing people are incredibly rare. "Normally, you wouldn't see a swordfish swimming around in the harbour," she explained.

"These are open-ocean animals that are more often found over deep water."

Mr Llanes is survived by his wife and two small children.

She died suddenly aged 58 seven-and-a-half years ago – leaving her son Kanye devastated.

And now the doctor who operated on Donda West shortly before her death says he’s determined to clear his name once and for all.

In fact, California-based plastic surgeon Dr Jan Adams has stated that he believes Kanye’s cousin, Stephan Scoggins, is responsible for her untimely passing.

He’s even calling on Donda’s hip-hop superstar son to speak out publicly in his defence.

“It baffles me when nobody wants to know the truth,” Dr Adams said. “I think [Kanye] should stand up and tell the truth, and the truth will set you free.

“I think the truth needs to be out there. If he had any balls or if he was any kind of man he could (speak up).”

Academic Donda, who is a former head of Chicago State University’s English department, had liposuction, a tummy-tuck and breast-reduction surgery in early November 2007. She died a day later.

“Most people that I run into think she died on the table, they don’t even know this lady was home for a day,” Dr Adams also said in the same interview with the New York Daily News. “The truth hasn't been revealed.”

Mr Scoggins is a registered nurse with a PhD in public health. He took charge of his aunt’s post-surgery care following the cosmetic procedures.

Dr Jan Adams

Dr Adams claims Mr Scoggins left Donda under the care of untrained friends while he headed out to a baby shower and that he ignored phone calls.

He goes on to say that his former patient took as many as 20 pain-killing Vicodins in less than 24 hours — and wound up choking on her own vomit because she was allow to lie flat on her back in bed.

“She aspirated the food contents into her lungs and that’s that,” stated Dr Adams. “And four minutes later you’re dead. Jimi Hendrix, that's how he died. It ain't magical."

Mr Scoggins denies the allegations.

Mrs West was pronounced dead at Centinela Freeman hospital on November 10, 2007.

A subsequent investigation was unable to determine the exact “manner of death,” but found both vomiting and “medication use for pain” as contributing factors.

Dr Adams was not faulted by the coroner, although he was criticised by some of his fellow medics who say Donda’s health issues meant she was simply not a suitable candidate for the surgery.

At 5ft 2in, she weighed 188lbs, and also battled high blood pressure and high blood sugar.

Kanye West, who was particularly close to his mother, has yet to comment.
