We weren't aware that deep fried tequila was a thing, but our lives have changed for the better since the discovery of this recipe.

It combines two of our favourite things: cake and booze… all wrapped up into one deep-fried cube of goodness. 

That is why we decided to share this life-changing recipe with you all.

What you'll need:

Sponge cake

Tequila

Oil for frying

Powdered Sugar

Lime zest

What you'll do:

Just cube up the cake into small squares (shot size)

Dip it quickly into the tequila (important: the more you dip..the stronger they will be)

Place them into a 350 degree pot of 2 inches of oil.

Fry them until they’re golden on all sides. 

Let them cool, and sprinkle lime zest and powdered sugar on them.
