‘The real issue’: Demi Lovato on why she got ‘fired up’ about Taylor
It has been a bit of a roller-coaster few days for Demi Lovato who has been faced with the full wrath of Taylor Swift fans the world over.
While Taylor has managed to stay mum on the whole situation, Demi has been anything but quiet.
It all began when Demi ousted Taylor for not speaking out about Kesha's ongoing court battle considering she describes herself as a feminist.
I'm also ready for self-proclaimed feminists to start speaking out or taking action for women's rights.

And it seemed that Taylor got the message loud and clear as she donated around 225 thousand euro to Kesha's legal fund the day after the comment was made.
However, Demi was of course was still not at all impressed by the gesture.
Take something to Capitol Hill or actually speak out about something and then I'll be impressed.

Having received ongoing grief from Taylor fans, she was so angered that she even defended herself in the comments section of a Taylor fan on Instagram.
"Not everyone has 250k to just give to people. At least I speak up about sh*t that’s uncomfortable to talk about rather than trying to be politically correct 24/7.
"There’s no ’rivalry’ I just give more f*cks than other people and would rather start a dialogue ABOUT WOMEN COMING FORWARD ABOUT BEING RAPED than throw money at one person."
"I didn’t shade Taylor. If you take it that way than fine. I’m just tired of seeing women use ‘women empowerment’ and ‘feminism’ to further brands without actually being the ones that have the uncomfortable conversations.
"I get shade and I don’t give a fuck because someone has to be the one to take it. At least I’m getting my hands dirty."
Demi took to Instagram again last night to post an image of visualised rape statistics as she tried to make the conversation about rape victims rather than a Taylor/ Demi feud.
