Demi Lovato is a true professional, as was proven yesterday when she took an unfortunate spill during a gig.

The singer was performing her new hit Cool For The Summer by the pool at Los Angeles' WaterMarke Tower when she slipped on some water and took a serious bellyflop. Luckily she didn't land in the pool itself, though seconds later she jumped in intentionally anyway, much to the delight of fans.

No doubt realising that the fall would go viral no matter what damage control she put in place, Demi decided to join in the craic and even posted her own slow-mo video of the fall via Twitter. "#NOTCoolForTheSummer #FuckIt" she captioned the hilarious clip.

The Los Angeles event was one of a series of pool parties that Demi is holding around the US to promote her new single. Just hours after her fall she was ready for action again, as she flew onward to San Francisco with her pal Hailee Steinfeld for the next round.

It's only been a few days since Cool For The Summer launched, and it's already been the subject of some controversy, with many fans claiming it sounds far too similar to Katy Perry's I Kissed A Girl and Jessie J's Domino. Demi jokingly addressed the claims herself on social media, telling Entertainment Tonight, "I think more than one female artist can kiss a girl and like it."

Well, if she can deal with a faceplant like that and still keep her chill, we reckon Demi's more than capable of handling a few angry fans.

First it was Taylor Swift, now it’s Demi Lovato. Katy Perry just can’t seem to stay on the good side of her fellow pop stars. The face of Moschino is under fire again, and this time it’s because Demi isn’t appreciating fans claiming her music is a rip-off of Katy’s. 

Demi had plenty of reason to celebrate this week after her new single Cool For The Summer went to number one on the iTunes charts, but it was a short-lived celebration for the 22-year old as some music fans were quick to point out the sound wasn’t all that original. 

After hearing complaints that the song sounded a little too like Katy Perry’s smash hit I Kissed a Girl, Demi lashed out on Twitter to stop the comparisons.

Fan were saying Demi’s new song sounded like a mix of Katy Perry’s I Kissed a Girl and Jessie J’s Domino, but Demi was quick to respond in defence of her work.

Katy has yet to respond, but given her history of dramatic catfights, we reckon it won't be long until she does.

Niall Horan has certainly been hitting the headlines lately.

Late-night partying with Ariana Grande; Ellie Goulding finally admitting to their fling; being linked to Little Mix babe Jade Thirlwall, and socialising with Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho's daughter, Matilde – yes, it's certainly been a busy week for the Mullingar man.

It might be about to get busier too, for it's now been revealed that the One Direction singer has split from his gorgeous Australian girlfriend, Melissa Whitehall, after a three-month romance.

The 21-year-old boy-band star is believed to have met Melissa in February while on tour in Australia. Student Melissa, who is also 21, has been spotted with Niall by fans on a few occasions. It is also rumoured she went to visit him in London, where he is based, when their schedules allowed.

As one insider explained to The Sun: “Niall and Melissa did well to keep their romance low-profile during their time together. They were really close and had fun whenever they went out.”

Poor single Niall! And while he nurses his broken heart, we've compiled a list of gorgeous gals that we reckon would look very lovely on his arm…

Ariana Grande

Since partying on Monday night, Niall and Ariana have been all over the internet. Their reps insist, however, that they're just good friends.

Our normal reaction would be "that old line, eh?" but considering he has just broken up with his Aussie girlfriend, we're going to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Still, friendship often leads to romance – and we reckon this pairing would be cute-as-a-button. 

 

Laura Whitmore

Maybe too much of an age gap – she's just turned 30 and he's still a young lad of 21 – but if this blonde Irish duo happened we would be SO happy!

Niall was recently hanging out with Laura at her milestone birthday bash in London, where he later posted to Instagram a picture of the pair with the caption: “Happy birthday @thewhitmore! What a great party last night, loved it! Love you! Have a nice day!”

He seems eager anyway… now we'll just have to convince her.

The pair were rumoured to have dated back in 2012, but Demi said she ended it after receiving so much hate from fans.

We would love to see them give it another shot – although the distance (they both tour all the time) might be a killer.

Mind you, we're sure that they could still manage a nice little summer romance while honouring their busy schedules at the same time. So come on, guys – throw caution to the wind!

Kimye move over: these guys would be the biggest power couple EVER.

We can’t deal with how good-looking Niall and Kendall would be in tantum. The young stars are already friends and have previously been photographed together looking fab – so that basically confirms they should get married.

And we reckon that momager Kris Jenner would love the publicity that a One Direction union would bring (especially has Kendall's romance with bandmate Harry Styles never panned out).

And finally… Mr Horan and Tay-Tay surely are destined to find love in one-another's arms at some stage?

Ok, so right now she's looking oh-so loved-up with Calvin Harris – but who knows how long that will last.

Niall and Taylor, or Niaylor if you will, sounds like a match-made-in-heaven so we're throwing our weight behind this one – if only because it would be gas to hear the post break-up songs.

And now the former Disney co-stars have announced the launch of their new record label, Safehouse records.

Along with their manager, Phil McIntyre, the pair have now finally let us in on their big news.

A week previously, Demi left us in suspense following a teaser she posted to Instagram depicting pens and two contracts, complete with the caption: "Big news coming very very soon!!!!'' 

Their record label has been set up with the help of Island records and Hollywood records, a grouping through which Demi will release all of her future music.

In a statement, Nick and Phil said: "Our focus at Safehouse records is to put artists in control of their art while providing them the best tools to manage their careers. Through our partnership with Island records they will also have access to the best marketing and promotion available."

Demi also took to Instagram to thank her manager, Phil.

"When so many others had given up on me, he never did," she said, referring to her previous battles with alcohol and drugs. "He told me he cared too much about me to watch me self-destruct."

 

Last but not least… Phil McIntyre. This man not only believed in me when I was 15 and made my entire career happen, but he fought so fucking hard to get me sober. When so many others had given up on me, he never did. He told me he cared too much about me to watch me self-destruct.. Therefore at the very end of my drinking and using he gave me one last chance.. Get sober and he'll stay, or he'd have to leave. He did that out of love. Not out of a money hungry I-don't-give-a-fuck-about-the-artist kind of way… But he cared so much that instead of being the kind of person in this industry who could care less about my well being and continued to make money while I was spiraling, he stood his ground and said "If you do this I will fight this battle with you every step of the way." I knew I couldn't let go of him not only as a manager but as an extremely important person in my life who genuinely cares about me. He is one of the very few people who LITERALLY saved. my. life. We know she's famous and everything, but we hardly expected her to get asked for an autograph while seeing a gynaecologist. 

Demi opened up about the experience on a New Zealand radio station ZM.

If that wasn't bad enough, it happened in the middle of the examination…

She said: "There have been so many uncomfortable and actually violating moments when like, I've been at the gynaecologist and the doctor's like, 'Can I have an autograph for my daughter?"

"I'm like, 'f**k you! What the hell is wrong with you?'", she continued.

Demi shared more, er, detailed, stories: "Or I'll get lasered or whatever and someone will be like, 'My such and such is a huge fan,' and it's like, 'Great, you can now tell them you've seen my vagina. Like the whole thing!'"

Awks…

We guess that's one advantage of not being a celebrity.

Singer Demi Lovato took to Instagram a few weeks back to tell fans she was finally getting an ill-advised "vagina tattoo" covered up, but it seems not everyone was happy with her decision.

The tattoo, on her left forearm, was apparently meant to look like a pair of lips, but as with many drunken mistakes, it didn't turn out quite as planned:

Earlier this month Demi revealed she had finally had the tatt covered over with another image of a gothic-style rose.

Now the tattoo artist behind the original design has slammed Demi for being unappreciative, a "scumbag" and for "pissing" all over her toilet seat.

Two comments on Demi's Instagram post from earlier this month were uncovered, both from the the tattoo artist in question, Ashley McMullen.

"Cool post @ddlovato, thanks for getting the tattoo covered up I did for free that you specifically asked for. Not to mention you didn't even have the courtesy to offer me any money in the first place," wrote Ashley.

"You pissed all over our toilet seat and you made a fool of yourself. What a shame that people look up to you. The tattoo you covered it with kinda sucks too. Looks like you might forever be a goon."

At the end of the comment were the hashtags "#demilovato #scumbag #turd #claimstobesober #drankallthebeer #peepeetoiletseat #yousuck." Ouch.

In a second comment, Ashley lashed out at Demi again, saying, "[H]onestly you were acting like a full time slob…You never even gave me a shout out when I dealt with your drunk ass."

Demi seemed unfazed by the outlash, taking to Twitter this week to post a series of emojis that were most definitely a dig at Ashley's claims:

Demi Lovato has opened up about the support of her boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama during a very difficult time of her life.

The 22-year-old is currently on tour in Australia and took to Instagram to express her love for her partner.

She has been dating the That's 70's Show star on and off since 2010, but has said how this was affected by her personal issues.

 

"There were some moments when it was off and on when I was struggling with my issues," Demi told Sydney's Kyle and Jackie O show on KIIS 106.5 FM.

She went on: "What he would do is he wouldn't enable me so he'd say, 'I can't be around if you're not going to get your stuff together.'"

She claims: "It made me fight for it. He's a very, very good guy."

Demi has faced many problems in her life but three years ago she began overcoming alcoholism, substance abuse,and an eating disorder.

In March 2012, MTV aired Stay Strong, a documentary about Demi's rehab and recovery.

She is such an inspiring woman.

While many of us may not have been aware that Demi Lovato even had what she calls a ‘vagina tattoo’ it turns out she wasn’t the biggest fan of it.

The singer shared a photo of some art work she had done on her arm, covering over a lip (er, we think) shaped tattoo with a giant rose.

Demi shared her new tattoo with fans, telling them: “It looks beaaaauutiful and I LOVE it!! … RIPvaginatattoo #kidsdontdodrugs.”

Hmm, something tells us there is a major story behind this ‘vagina tattoo’ she speaks of…

Perhaps we’ll find out the full story if she releases a memoir in her later years!

Singer Demi Lovato is recovering in hospital after being rushed to the ER yesterday with significant breathing difficulties.

The star was brought to the Providence Tarzana Medical Center in California by a friend, and was kept in for monitoring and tests.

Poor Demi was diagnosed with a nasty lung infection and has been given a variety of medication.

Although the Really Don't Care singer has been quiet on social media since earlier this week, Twitter has exploded with "get well soon" wishes from fans, so much so that the hashtag #GetWellSoonDemi has begun trending worldwide.

Demi's illness came at a particularly bad time as she is currently putting together her new album and had to cancel a recording session with a big-name producer, according to TMZ.

The singer recently revealed she thinks her fourth album will be her "best work yet," saying, "I’ve never been more confident in my sound. Never been so sure of who I am as an artist… I WILL get a Grammy nomination one day. No more f*ckin around.”

Demi has been finding her feet again slowly after spending a stint in rehab in 2011 to help her in her struggles with bulimia, self-harm, bi-polar disorder and drug addiction.

In a recent interview the singer admitted that she is on a strict meal plan to help her regain control of her eating habits, but that she has more self-confidence than ever before. "I've learned to appreciate my body for what it is. It helps to remind myself how far I've come," she said.

Demi Lovato has had her fair share of online haters and trolls to deal with, and it seems she now has it down to a fine art if this latest tweet is anything to go by!

The singer was attacked in a cruel message on Twitter that read: “shut up fatty don’t choke on ur mcdonalds.” While we can imagine this sort of awful message would definitely get us down, if not put us off Twitter altogether, it seems Demi knows exactly how to deal with this sort of bullying.

Without batting an eyelid, she quickly retorted with a very witty message of her own: “But…. Big Macs….” We love it! The singer accompanied her perfect response with the ‘praise’ emoji, because like us, she knows just how important Big Macs are! 

The taunt came across as particularly cruel given that Demi has always been very honest and open about her struggles with eating disorders in the past. In 2010, Demi entered rehab for these struggles as well as substance abuse issues.

Hopefully this will show the troll and all of the others out there that Demi doesn’t take anything they say seriously or let it get to her and we love her for that! What a great role model for the younger generations!

Demi Lovato has always been honest about her struggles in the past, especially when it comes to body image. The singer is always on a mission to let her fans know how important it is to have positive body image, and the damage that can happen without it.

Now, the stunning Demi has praised none other than Kim Kardashian for bringing curves back into fashion, so to speak. Speaking to Allure magazine, Demi said: “I really started to accept my body when the trend started becoming less about super skinny models that was completely unattainable for anybody to have. Kim Kardashian, say whatever you want about her, but she has revolutionised what’s accepted with curves nowdays.”

Demi also said that as she has gotten older, she has learned to love her body more, saying she now loves her bum: “Wearing pants that showcase my beautiful assets. It’s my butt. I love my butt. Hopefully it stays that way, cause this ain’t going anywhere.”

Demi Lovato is definitely well on the road to recovery after a stint in rehab in 2012 for her eating disorder and addiction issues. But the star revealed she almost ended up seeking treatment again last year.

"It's been difficult. I almost went back to rehab for my eating disorder last summer. I was obsessing over food and terrified of it at the same time," she told Fitness magazine recently.

The Really Don't Care singer admitted that her actor boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama noticed something was not right before things got out of control. "[Wilmer] called me out on it, which was a relief," she said. "I was done being afraid of food and so tired of overeating and not knowing why I did it."

Despite still struggling at times with food and body image issues, Demi says she is in a far better place than she was before she entered rehab two years ago. "It helps to remind myself how far I've come," she told the magazine. 

"I recently saw pictures from my first tour, and I spent that whole summer performing in the heat in a red leather jacket because I was ashamed to show my arms. And that was when I was 105 pounds! …This tour, I've had the confidence to show my arms at every single concert. It may seem like a small thing, but for me, that's huge."

The 22-year-old reveals that a meal and exercise plan has helped with her recovery from her bulimia. "Now I'm on a structured meal plan," she said. "I eat four small meals and two snacks a day. It's teaching me portion control… Exercising has been so important for my recovery, both physically and mentally. On show days I count my concert as a workout, but on my off days I try to work out once in the morning and again at night."

We're glad to hear the star is getting back on track!
