With so many stars sharing photos of their wonderful family Thanskgiving celebrations, spare a thought for poor Demi Lovato.

The singer was clearly very emotional yesterday as she took to Instagram to share a photo of herself on a video call with her family.

The 22-year-old was in tears, dabbing her eyes with a tissue as she held two phones up in front of her.

Poor thing!

The star was unable to join her family for the holiday festivities this year, as she is currently supporting Enrique Iglesias on the UK leg of his tour.

Sharing the photo with her followers, Demi wrote: “I got to FaceTime with them which is better than nothing! I love them so much and I’m so thankful for them.”

We’re glad that Demi was able to raise a smile as she added: “Also, shout out to my double chin for being with me on this Turkey Day.”

Poor Demi. Let’s hope she at least got some turkey for her troubles!

Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus were once not only Disney Channel darlings, but best friends too!

Now it seems that all has changed for the former BFF’s as Demi has confirmed they are no longer friends.

Speaking on US radio, Demi was aksed by a fan about the once-close friendship, to which she replied: “Yeah, it’s life and people change, and you know, I don’t have anything in common with her anymore, and I wish her all the best.”

Does she think Miley changed? We have no idea where she’d get something like that from…

It seems like a lot of Miley’s past friendships have phased out, as she was also known to be close with other Disney Channel stars such as Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale.

Oh, how things can change so drastically in just a few years!

Demi Lovato is not very happy with the way in which social media are dealing with eating disorders. 

The singer took to her Twitter account to blast the way in which accounts of an eating disorder nature are still allowed: “It’s unbelievable how there are STILL accounts on Twitter/Instagram SUPPORTING eating disorders. Something has to change … If you are secretly on one of those sites you are slowly killing yourself and the other pole you “support”. Please get help.”

Demi entered rehab for an eating disorder as well as depression and self-harm back in 2010. She later admitted to having an alcohol and drugs problem too. 

Since then, Demi has been an amazing advocate for young people who experience these struggles and documented her own issues in a 2012 documentary called Stay Strong. 

Let’s hope her words can make a difference to those who may be struggling with issues such as this at the moment.

This is just adorable!

You'd be forgiven for thinking that singer Demi Lovato was a single gal, as she very rarely speaks about her love life. In reality though, the star has been dating That 70s Show actor Wilmer Valderrama for four years. The pair are both very tight-lipped about the relationship, speaking only occasionally about each other in interviews.

We appreciate that every couple needs their privacy, but we're still a little bit delighted that Demi chose to share a romantic picture of her beau on social media yesterday.

She posted this sweet PDA snap to Twitter and Instagram with the caption, "I never post personal pictures like this but f—k.. He is perfect. I miss my @WValderrama."

We bet that had Wilmer blushing!

Although Demi rarely mentions her boyfriend online, she has been posting a couple of pictures of late, including this fun Halloween pic, showing the pair dressed as Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz:

She also mentioned Wilmer in a recent interview, describing him as "my very best friend in the whole world who I happen to be attracted to."

This may be the cutest thing ever!

Demi Lovato got ‘engaged’ on stage last night after a five-year-old boy proposed to her during her concert!

Little Grant made a sign saying he had a ring for her – so she invited him on stage!

Demi then showed Grant how to propose to her and she said “I will” and we all died of cuteness.

Wilmer Valderrama (Demi’s current boyfriend) better up his game as she has already received the best proposal ever!

Demi Lovato has often spoken out about being bullied when she was younger, so it’s no wonder she responded the way she did when cruel online bullies made fun of her little sister Maddie, who was severe scoliosis.

The 12-year-old girl posted a vine to Twitter, and when the bullies noticed she had a slight hump in her back, they started making fun of her. They even made a twitter account called ‘hunchbackluvsu1’ where they posted a photo of a camel with a (badly) photoshopped Demi on top. The caption read: “Love you Demi”.

When her big sister saw what was going on, she contacted the bully herself:

We don’t blame Demi for reacting the way she did – Maddie is lucky to have such a feisty sister on her side!

Demi Lovato has had the chop – and we LOVE it!

Posting shots of her choppy new layered hairdo on her Instagram, the star captioned the picture, 'Just went shorter!' 

Hairdresser Riawna Capri said that the change of style was a 'spontaneous decision' from the singer. 

“It was definitely not planned. [Demi's] flying out today, and wanted it before she left,” she said.

Apparently, the former X Factor USA judge was inspired by another ex-reality show star's hair. 

“Demi loved the texture of Julianne Hough's old haircut,” Capri revealed. “She wanted to recreate that texture on her.”

The hairdresser went on to explain the new cut is shorter on one side than the other 'by about three inches,' describing the style as 'perfectly dishevelled hair.'

And it seems that Demi was delighted with her new look. 

“She was so pumped, she loved it,” said Capri. 

And we love it too!

Our hearts really do go out to poor Selena Gomez, as it seems she doesn’t have a friend left in the world right now!

Selena’s lifelong pal Demi Lovato has sparked feud rumours after she stopped following her on Twitter, and apparently posted a cryptic angry message.

Demi, who previously admitted her friendship with Selena has been strained in the past, reportedly tweeted, “Swimming away from the bullsh*t bye b*tch (sic),”  but the post has since been deleted.

This drama comes at the same time Selena’s family have apparently urged her to check back into rehab as she’s a ‘mess’ over her on-off relationship with Justin Bieber.

Well, he did spend his Independence Day partying on a yacht in Miami surrounded by other women.

Isn’t that enough to mess with any girl’s head?

Demi Lovato may have been totally chilled last week after spending some time at a holistic retreat, but her relaxed exterior was shattered yesterday when she attended the Trailblazers event in New York.

The singer looked great in her purple ensemble, but when paparazzi hurled abuse at her (with one even commenting on her past problems with drugs) she lost her temper and stuck up her middle finger to let the man know exactly what she thought of him.

She explained herself on Twitter later in the evening: “When are paparazzi gonna learn? If you’re respectful to me, I’ll be respectful back. Why does it have to be a war of celebs against paps?

“Of course if you yell horrible things, I’m not gonna work with you. I’ll pose if you are respectful and not being bullies.

“I wanted to stop for my fans today/tonight really bad because I love you so much but I can’t deal with how mean those paps are… I always try to stop because I appreciate every single one of you, so if I don’t get to you please know I’m sorry and I love you.

“Sometimes staying strong means not putting yourself in uncomfortable or triggering situations.”

It looks like Demi Lovato has decided to ditch her usual make-up regime for a while, after spending a rejuvenating few days at a spiritual retreat last week.

The star showed off her freckles in a make-up free photo yesterday, and she really did look the picture of health.

Demi has been very public about her past body image issues, but she proved that her new healthy lifestyle has helped her overcome her demons as she followed up her make-up free selfie with a sweaty snap of her working out in the gym and an enviable shot of her fab bikini body, saying:

“Had a spiritual retreat last week full of organic food, working out, meditation and reiki healing… I feel so ready for this summer!!!”

Demi Lovato is always vocal when it comes to her Twitter account. But the singer showed a mature response, when she was sent a hateful message on Twitter.

The 21-year-old decided to take to the social media account, after she received a tweet calling the singer, “fatty”.

“Dear Haters you don’t have to like me cause I love you. Everyone’s equal, everyone has a soul and everyone deserves to be loved.”

Lovato went onto to encourage her fans to do same, when it comes to online trolls.

“Dear Lovatics for every hater tweet – don’t respond with hate but love and positivity.. Try love instead of combat.”

Of course, the Skyscraper singer practised what she preached and went onto to tweet “you are beautiful” to the tweeter.

Well, that is one way of putting down an online hater.
