Earlier, today – she publicly praised the 22 Day Revolution. And Beyonce clearly has reaped more benefits than mere firmer skin… namely an absolute killer derriere.

The star has posted a selection of eye-catching shots to her website, with one photograph in particular garnering plenty of attention.

In it, the 33-year-old can be seen donning a pair of teeny-tiny shorts in black denim. She also has on a black leather jacket – from Saint Laurent. Priced at an eye-watering €4,690, it features a buckle-fastening waist belt, as well as zipped pockets and zipped cuffs.

Supermodel Cara Delevingne has also been seen in the same item.

Ms Knowles has recently been singing the praises of Marco Borges, the pioneer of the 22 Day Revolution. And certainly, the mother-of-one is looking trimmer than ever.

Indeed, at the Met Ball in New York last month, she wowed in a daring sheer dress by Givenchy.

Riccardo Tisci created the nude number which boasted only strategically placed jewels to hide B's modesty. The singer finished her striking look with a slicked back, curly ponytail, rosy pink lip and striking cat eye.

After trying a vegan diet challenge in 2013, Beyoncé and Mr Borges teamed up to create a meal plan service, 22 Days Nutrition, a partnership which was announced in January. The singer maintains: "If I can do it, anyone can."

For people who want to look and feel like Mrs Carter, Marco recommends eating three meals a day, 30 minutes of daily exercise, and lots water.

Beyoncé has been keeping all of us gripping the edge of our seats as she teased a big announcement to be made on Good Morning America.

Speculation was out of control all over social media with many guessing there may be a new collaboration with husband Jay-Z in the works. Some even went so far as suggesting there could be a sibling for the adorable Blue Ivy en route.

However, surprising just about everyone, Mrs Carter has instead revealed… a new diet secret. Hmmm, no wonder some fans are feeling a bit short-changed.

Still, there's no doubt that Beyonce's body is pretty darn amazing – and, certainly, we were all ears when the megastar began to open up about how she achieved her newly slim body.

Apparently it’s all down to the “22 Day Revolution”, designed by Marco Borges. In fact, Queen B is such a big fan she’s even written the forward for the book.

Addressing her appearance, Beyoncé admitted “I have struggled since a young age with diets. Finding something that actually works, actually keeps the weight off has been difficult for me.”

The plant-based diet promises not only to help you shed kilos, but to transform your life.

Reports have claimed that over the years the star has tried the likes of the Master-Cleanse, which involves drinking salt water in front of a mirror and a maple syrup and cayenne pepper lemonade. She's also apparently indulged in a protein-filled diet that involved two hours of exercise a day to help her get back to her pre-baby body.

Beyoncé isn’t the only celebrity fan of the 22-Day Revolution. Ryan Seacrest claims “Marco understands not only the scientific benefits to the human body, but also how to present the information in a way that is accessible, manageable, and inspirational.”

According to Beyoncé, Borges’ programme is the best for getting into serious shape saying “I felt like my skin was really firm. A lot tighter than when I deprived myself of food and got the weight off fast. And the weight stayed off.”

After being witness to that incredible Met Ball gown, we think the Grammy Award winning singer has never looked better.

Saying previously that she’s always been “very, very specific and very choosy – very choosy – about what I do with my body and who I want to share that with,” her big announcement about her diet secrets must mean she’s a serious fan. It started off with Atkins, evolved to Dukan, and now has landed at Paleo. Yes, protein-heavy diets are going nowhere.

At this time of year, when the weather is (occasionally) looking a little brighter and we maybe want to feel a little lighter, lots of folk are trying their best to integrate more protein into their diets.

Sounds easy, right? Until you hit day-three and start to feel seriously bored. After all, there really are only so many eggs you can poach, steaks you can chew through, and nuts you can nibble on.

And boredom, in our experience, leads straight to the biscuit-tin.

Which is why we were oh-so excited to stumble across That Protein, an Irish-produced premium protein powder which is dairy-free, has no added sugar, no GMOs, and is full of organic plant goodness… all of which should result in muscles that recover faster after a work-out; a healthier metabolism, and boosted immune system. Hurrah!

Here are two simple but yummy recipes that caught our eye and are great for the summer season:

Orange and Raw Cacao Protein Pudding

Ingredients

  • 80ml coconut milk or milk of choice
  • Juice of ½ orange
  • 2 tablespoons That Protein’s Blissful Brown Rice Protein Powder with Raw Cacao
  • 1 teaspoon natural sweetener (like brown rice syrup)
  • 60g rolled oats (or quick oats)
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional – coconut oils adds a beautiful flavour to this oatmeal, but you can leave it out completely)

Topping suggestions

  • Crushed hazelnuts
  • Chocolate chips
  • Orange slices

Method

  1. Combine milk, orange juice, That Protein Blissful Brown Rice Protein Powder, sweetener and oats in a medium sized saucepan on medium-to-high heat until the mix begins to warm and steam. Stir to combine.
  2. Bring to a gentle simmer and continue to stir occasionally. Once oats have fully absorbed the liquid, take off heat. Add a little extra milk if oatmeal is too thick, until reaching your desired consistency.
  3. Serve with your desired toppings.

Dairy-Free Strawberry Milkshake

Ingredients

  • 200-250g strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • 200ml almond milk or milk of choice
  • ½ tsp vanilla powder or vanilla extract or half of a vanilla bean scraped (optional)
  • 1 tbsp brown rice syrup
  • 1 drop of lavender essential oil or edible lavender flowers
  • 2 scoops That Protein’s I Heart Pumpkin Seed Protein Powder with Chia Seeds
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Additional Topping

  • Edible flowers (optional, but definitely a hit)

Method

  1. Pour all the ingredients in a blender.
  2. Blend till smooth, then pour in tall glasses.
  3. You can also garnish the milkshake with some chopped strawberries or dry fruits.
  4. Serve immediately for best results.

All chocolate lovers know how hard it is to cut it out completely when you're on a diet or simply just trying to be more healthy. You don't need to get rid of them though, just try smaller bars instead of larger ones, buy the snack size bags or break it up with yoghurt. Yum!

Here are the five best chocolate bars you can get for your diet…

1. Milky Way
Half as much fat as any other chocolate bar, the best you can get, especially if it's a fun sized one.

2. Milky Bar

3. Smarties
They now have have natural dyes and less calories than other bars. One packet can last you a while if you work on your willpower.

4. Flake
Add half of a bar to yoghurt, delicious and more healthy than just munching on three bars of them in one go.

5. Crunchie

Famous folk always seem to be dropping weight and toning up in the blink-of-an-eye. And while us mere mortals probably can't afford an army of personal trainers, dietitians, private chefs and detox retreats like they can, we can still learn a few valuable weight-loss lessons from their success stories.

Here, we round up five celebrities who are looking better than ever, and reveal the secrets, tips and tricks behind their image overhauls…

Khloe Kardashian
The reality TV star looks as gorgeous as ever since losing weight and water was an important factor. Khloe claims she drinks 5 litres a day and is encouraging her younger sisters to do the same. Khloe said: "I go to a trainer five times a week, and on the weekends, I do cardio or whatever I want to do."

She added: "I kind of eat what I want, but in portion control, which I never knew before."

Sam Smith
Sam managed to drop 14lbs in 14 days with the help of Amelia Freer's book Eat. Nourish. Glow.

Freer has said: “It’s very nice for me to see the results that I do get with my clients.

She continued: “Usually for people who have that weight to lose it can happen quite dramatically, quite quickly. But it’s absolutely done safely, nothing faddy or starvation or deprivation happening here,”

Freer tells clients the importance of making their meals from scratch and putting a lot of natural, fresh produce into their diet.

Charlotte Crosby
One of the famous Geordie Shore weight loss success stories, Charlotte dropped an astonishing 2-and-a-half stone, going from a size 16 to a size 6.

Charlotte has opened up about the secrets to her weight loss, saying: "I just eat healthy and I don't over-indulge like I used to."

"I try and do my DVD at least four times a week and I see my personal trainer maybe once a week if I'm not too busy," she said.

Charlotte admits she still loves her McDonald's on cheat days but doesn't over-eat anymore.

Charlotte's fitness DVD 3 Minute Belly Blitz is available now.

Snooki
Snooki dropped down to 99 pounds in November, less than two months after giving birth. 99 pounds is a healthy weight for the petite 4'8" Jersey Shore star.

Her trainer previously opened up and said that she was decreasing her carbs and overall calorie intake. She was also spending a lot of time in the gym.

He explained: "We're also doing plyometrics, cardio, etc. Right now it's all really geared for weight loss, then she wants to focus on lean muscle mass once she's married."

Michelle Keegan
Michelle definitely has one of the most desirable figures going, and it appears a lot of it is thanks to the SoulMateFood delivery service. This allows you to create your own healthy menus which are then delivered to your front door. The 6-day meal plan costs £150.

Michelle also opened up about the gym: "I try and go to the gym as much as I can".

"It could be three times a week or not at all one week, but I don't punish myself if I don't go," she added.

It’s the diet fad that refuses to go away: juicing. Yes, despite the fact that it’s more-or-less starvation otherwise-sane folk are opting to juice away their lumps and bumps via three-, five-, or even (gulp!) seven-day programmes.

Wheatgrass, kale, spinach, lime, celery, cucumber, beetroot, and carrot are for the more ambitious juicers – novices opt to integrate apple, kiwi, orange, berries, and grapefruits in a bid to make their concoctions more palatable.

Nicole Richie says she's a big fan of juice

Most plans recommend a course of four juices over the course of the day. Water and herbal teas are permitted to keep those (many) hunger pangs at bay, but caffeine, alcohol, and – more importantly – food is out. Still, advocates swear you can shed up to a stone in five days.

Some opt to go it alone, whizzing up ingredients freshly themselves. Others feel they need expert intervention, having the juices delivered to their door at a cost of at least €80.

Kathryn Thomas, Julianne Moore, and Millie Mackintosh are just some of the names who have given juice a go. Nicole Richie is another fan, admitting “I am what you can call a juice fanatic. I always carry around a green juice. They provide lots of energy when I’m running around.”

Gwyneth Paltrow is more cautious, however. Writing for the Telegraph, she commented: "I've done juice cleanses in the past, and in my 20s I did the Master Cleanse, which left me hallucinating after 10 days," adding: "Be aware: a juice detox can crash your metabolism and lead to future weight gain."

Here, we take a cold hard look at the pros and cons of juice diets:

Good: Stick with it and the plans are a great way to kick-start a general healthy-eating plan and crack bad dietary habits. Your stomach will shrink and you’ll subsequently be satisfied on less food.

Bad: Mid-way through day two you’ll be sorely tempted to dive head first into the biscuit tin while simultaneously ringing the chipper for an emergency delivery.

Good: If you don’t regularly integrate fruits and vegetables into your diet, juicing is a great way to make sure you’re hitting your vitamin and mineral targets

Bad: Most Irish people don’t eat enough fibre as it is – and by blending your ingredients into a juice, you’re removing pretty much all the fibre present in the first place.

Good: If you’re panicking because you don’t fit into your wedding dress a week before your Big Day, juicing could well solve that problem for you.

Bad: Unless you’re committed to overhauling your diet long-term, you’ll quickly put back on any weight lost via juicing very quickly.

Gwyneth Paltrow has warned that juicing can lead to weight-gain

Good: Some people claim that once ketosis – where your body begins to break down stored fats – kicks in around day three you’ll no longer be hungry.

Bad: You’ll be miserable for most of the diet. Every tiny morsel of food will seem almost impossibly tempting; every waft of freshly-baked bread or hint of sausages grilling on a barbecue will send you insane.

Good: You’ll free up time ordinarily spent preparing and eating meals, allowing you to read the book you never finished, catch up on much-needed sleep, or watch a box set.

Bad: You’ll become a social recluse. You won’t be able to meet friends for a drink, lunch, brunch or dinner. Being around food while you sip water would probably prove too much, but you won’t have the energy or concentration span to bother anyway.

Rejoice! Just in time for the skimpy summer attire and beach-holiday season, Rosanna Davison has revealed to SHEmazing! that she will be unveiling her brand new, hotly-anticipated website this Friday at 9am.

The former Miss World already keeps her 73,000 Instagram followers fixated with tantalising pictures of delicious vegan food freshly prepared and photographed by Rosanna herself. Her recipes include indulgent dairy-free chocolate cheese cake, vanilla coconut protein pancakes, and warm seeded scones with almond butter and blackberry jam (OK, now we’re officially drooling).

In between a hectic modelling schedule and high-profile shoots for the likes of Playboy, Rosanna – who additionally holds a BA from University College Dublin – studied at The College of Naturopathic Medicine for three years and is now a qualified nutritional therapist following her graduation more than a year ago.

Refined sugar- and dairy-free; her strawberries and cream summer shake

Fellow catwalk queens who’ve switched to foodie interests include Sophie Dahl, who has two cook books and a BBC cookery series to her name, and Lorraine Pascale, who has a degree in culinary arts and fronts the UK version of My Kitchen Rules on Sky Living.

Hungry fans have long been crying out for Rosanna to release her own publication of recipes and expert dietary advice – and she also confirmed today to SHEmazing! that her book is officially en route, with a sneak-peak of the cover being posted on her website from Friday.

Rosanna is a keen fitness fanatic, and has studied Pilates to an advanced level

And although a keen fitness fanatic to boot (we wouldn’t expect anything less), Ms Davison furthermore told SHEmazing! that no amount of exercise will compensate for bad diet. “You have to first and foremost eat right and then you can complement that with exercise,” she advises. “Trying to do it the other way around is never going to work.”

Rosanna marked her 31st birthday late last week, celebrating with her husband, Wesley Quirke, and her immediate family. She went to Coppinger Row in Dublin's city centre on Sunday for brunch with close friends, later posting on social media a mouth-watering picture of her meal: a vegan-friendly Mediterranean platter with falafel and hummus.

If January is still getting you down two weeks in, it could be time to look at a few lifestyle changes to get that spring back in your step.

Our diet can have a huge effect on our mood – ever notice that you get crabby and cranky after filling up on sugar? The great thing is that by eating the right foods, we could actually improve our mood, alertness and energy levels without any effort.

Here are some foods to include in your diet this month to make your day a little brighter!

1. Bananas
Bananas contain an amino acid called typtophan as well as vitamin B. Both of these work together to help our body produce and absorb the neurotransmitter serotonin, a known mood-booster. So get peeling!

2. Turkey and chicken
Lean proteins like turkey and chicken contain the amino acid tyrosine which not only helps to lift our mood, but can actually stop us getting the blues in the first place. Win!

3. Porridge
Swap your toast for a warming bowl of porridge for a mood-lifting breakfast that'll keep you full all morning. Oats have a low glycaemic index (GI) and so their energy is slowly released into the body, meaning your blood sugar stays stable. Blood sugar dips and spikes are one of the main causes of mood swings.

4. Oily fish
Salmon, tuna and sardines are all great sources of Omega 3 fatty acids, which are mood-boosters than our brain does not naturally produce by itself.

5. Dark chocolate
We'll take ANY excuse to eat more chocolate, but this one is actually legit! Eating two squares of dark chocolate a day has been proven to reduce our body's production of the stress hormone cortisol, leading to a calmer and happier you!

As Auld Lang Syne rings out amongst the cheers and clinking of wine glasses at the stroke of midnight, at the very back of our minds will be the thoughts of the diets that we have promised ourselves we would definitely stick to this year.

But sticking to one can be hard and it's not surprising really considering there are some pretty strange ones out there. Very strange ones.

The baby food diet

This diet requires the person to substitute two or three meals a day with a jar of baby food – sounds good, we think not… Obviously, you are going to lose weight on a diet that restricts your calorie intake but we can’t see how this could possibly be healthy. For babies yes, but for adults maybe not…

The raw food diet

You'll certainly be eating more fruit and veg which can only be a good thing, right? But we’d have to spend so much time juicing, blending and chopping our food to make it edible we’ll be rushing for the rasher sandwich before you can say "carrot"…

The blood type diet

The diet is as it says on the tin – you can only eat food for your specific blood type. If you're Type A you should stick with a vegetarian diet, Type O's should stick with a high-protein diet with plenty of meat, and veggies but leave the dairy out while Type B’s need to steer clear of chicken, wheat and peanuts instead opting for eggs, low-fat dairy and veggies. Finally, AB types need to avoid caffeine and alcohol and stick with seafood and dairy. Apart from the impracticality, the worst thing about this diet is having to determine your blood type first.

The five bite diet

This involves you skipping breakfast and only eating five bites of food at lunch time and five bites at dinner time and that’s it. We’re feeling pretty hungry even just thinking about this diet. There is no way you could possibly get the right amount of nutrients doing this.

At the end of the day, the most effective way to maintain a healthy weight is to eat a well-balanced diet, cut down on the alcohol and sugar, and enjoy moderate exercise. Simples.

Having eaten our way through the festive season and likely gained half of our body weight in chocolate alone, our thoughts reluctantly turn to the New Year and the uphill struggle that lies ahead of us to finally attain that bikini body. To help you along with a little inspiration, we have compiled a list of the top diets that our favourite celebrities swear by.

1. Beyoncé and the Vegan Diet

Beyoncé has pretty much always appeared goddess-like to us, but she was looking particularly incredible when she performed at the Grammys with husband Jay-Z earlier this year. Apparently the XO singer's amazing figure was all down to a strict vegan diet that she stuck to rigidly for 22 days. The star then incorporated elements of the diet into her daily food plan, which consists mainly of plant-based foods and some fish here and there.

2. Angelina Jolie and the Ancient Grains Diet

From her voluptuous figure to her glowing skin and shiny hair, it's clear that whatever Angelina Jolie is putting into her body is working. According to reports, the Maleficent star is a big fan of the ancient grains diet, and frequently raves about its health benefits. As part of this diet plan, the star consumes little else other than those ancient and unchanged grains such as quinoa, chia seeds, spelt and buckwheat. The mum-of-six claims that not only do these grains provide her with key nutrients, but they also leave her skin shinier.

3. Victoria Beckham and the Alkaline Diet

She has frequently come under scrutiny for her weight in the past, but there is no denying that Victoria Beckham is looking her healthiest of late. Apparently, this is all down to 'eating alkaline', a new eating plan which promotes avoiding those foods that produce acid and cause the body to stress out. Recipes on the alkaline programme are mainly based on fresh fruit and vegetables, while coffee, junk food, sugar, salt and alcohol are major no-no's.

4. Katy Perry and the M-Plan Diet

Katy Perry has one of the most enviable figures in the world of celebrity, so it's no surprise to hear that she works damn hard to maintain it. As well as dancing her socks off during her live shows, the star is said to be a big fan of the M-Plan diet, which is primarily based on mushrooms. This diet, also favoured by Kelly Osbourne, apparently helps you lose excess weight around your tummy, thighs, upper arms and bottom, while maintaining your curves. Under this plan, you swap one meal a day for a mushroom-based substitute, for 14 days solid. As well as shedding the pounds, this diet is said to add shine and vitality to your hair, nails and skin.

5. Eva Mendes and the Five-Factor Diet

Anyone who can bag Ryan Gosling is doing something right in our books, so when we heard that Eva Mendes was a fan of the Five-Factor diet, we were all ears. This supposedly simple and easy-to-follow diet prescribes that you eat only meals consisting of five simple ingredients, while getting five 25-minute workouts in per week. The main groups you can pick your meals from include: protein, low-to-moderate GI carbohydrates, fibre, healthy fats, and sugar-free beverages (water, tea, coffee or an unsweetened energy drink). You're also allowed a cheat day each week, which just makes this all the more appealing.

6. Sarah Jessica Parker and The Hamptons Diet

Who didn't (and still does) envy the fabulous Carrie Bradshaw's figure? Actress Sarah Jessica Parker is known for her taut tummy and toned arms and legs, and it seems her secret lies in the Hamptons Diet. Founded by Fred Pescatore, the former medical director of the Atkins Centre, the Hamptons Diet is similar to Atkins in that it is a low-carb programme. The Hamptons diet focuses on a mixture of whole foods, lean meats, healthy fats and low-carb vegetables, with special emphasis placed on omega-3 fatty acids and monosaturated fats, which are said to make you feel fuller, sooner.

7. Lily Aldridge and the Sakara Life Diet

If it's good enough for a Victoria's Secret angel, it's good enough for us! Stunning model Lily Aldridge is famous for her incredible figure, and while much of it has to be down to good genes, the mum-of-one can also credit the Sakara Life diet for helping her to maintain her amazing shape. While this diet plan works on a meal delivery service, the meals are all organic and vegetarian. Founded on the principle that "food is medicine", the Sakara Life diet is also known as the "reverse cleanse" – sounds good to us.

8. Gwen Stefani and the Pressed Juice Diet

Just what is the secret to Gwen Stefani's iconic rock-hard abs? The Pressed Juice diet, apparently. Under this plan, followers receive a delivery of six special juices each day, with each one packed with nutrients to replace your meals and snacks. Followers of this juice cleanse are advised to avoid nicotine, caffeine and alcohol while this 1,200-calorie power drink works its magic.

We all get to a point over Christmas where we cram the final chocolate caramel in our mouths and vow that that will be the last grain of sugar that will ever pass our lips. Ooooh, warm mince pies? Eh, yes please.

Resolving to embrace a healthy, sugar-free diet is as standard a December resolution as resolving to be the best possible person you can be in January, but it’s not a simple task.

It takes dedication and perseverance, but it might be exactly what you and your body are looking for!

If you’re serious about trying a sugar-free diet in the new year, then here are some handy tips to get you started on this life-changing path.

1.  Remember it’s not going to be easy.

Like any big change in your life, it takes some getting used to so don’t expect to embrace the sugar-free life with open arms in your first week!

2. Do NOT go from eating sugar every day to banning it from your life entirely.

This is a recipe for disaster, so be sure to gradually reduce your sugar intake day-by day by no longer taking sugar in your tea or coffee, for example.

3. Do NOT replace sugar with sugar substitutes and sweeteners

You’re only going to have to start weaning yourself off those too, so don’t put yourself through it!

4. Familiarise yourself with labels.

You will be shocked by the sheer amount of sugar in the food we eat, so things that you may have deemed healthy in the past will need to be left on the shelf from now on!

5. Include as much protein in your diet as possible.

The protein you obtain from eggs, fish and nuts is extremely satisfying, so filling up on these will reduce your chances of being hit with a sugar craving.

If you truly want to cut down on your sugar intake or exclude it from your diet completely, it’s important to educate yourself on sugary foods, from fruit to fudge cake, be realistic with your goals and remember that a sugar-free life is possible!

And one more thing; if you slip one day and eat an entire chocolate cake, so what? Tomorrow’s a new day!
