It’s hard to imagine The Little Mermaid’s Ariel as anything other than the sweet, red-haired beauty she is.

However, when Sofia Coppola gets her hands on the Disney character, we might have a Hipster mermaid frolicking under the sea in an ‘ironic’ fashion instead.

The Indie director is set to bring a live-action version of The Little Mermaid to the big screen, and if her previous movies are any indication, we don’t think this will be anything like the 1989 Disney musical.

Considering Coppola’s super-hip approach to her films, which include Lost in Translation and most recently The Bling Ring, we might have a little mermaid who wishes she had legs, just so she can don a pair of skinny jeans.

Hmm, we’re not so sure about this.

It would appear that a third instalment of the Sex and the City movie franchise may be in the works. The director and writer of the last two films, Michael Patrick King seems to believe there is “one last chapter to tell”.

He went on to say that himself and Sarah Jessica Parker, who plays Carrie, “both know what that final chapter is”.

“That doesn’t mean it will or should be told, but I do think there is one story left.”

It would seem the original girls would be keen to take up their characters left behind in 2010 and even Cynthia Nixon, who has always been hesitant, said last week: “If Michael Patrick King is writing the sequel, and Sarah Jessica Parker is starring in it, sure!”

Sex and the City 2 was something of a massive flop with terrible reviews, so we’re struggling to see what could be so different about this third movie.

That said, we are curious about this “last chapter,” but he knew we would be!

Emma Watson has described to Wonderland magazine the tough environment she had to endure while filming Noah.

Following a ban on plastic water bottles by the director Darren Aronofsky on set, Emma accidentally drank stagnant water and fell ill. Describing the incident, Emma said: “I was so tired one morning I picked up a mug from my trailer that had been there for the duration – so three months. I was so ill.”

To make matter worse for the actress, the director had little sympathy and upon telling him she was too sick to film a scene he told her to take her illness and “use it for the scene”.

I bet she is glad this movie has wrapped!

This is one angry director.

Following the leak of his script for The Hateful Eight, which was expected to be his next big movie, Tarantino is absolutely livid and has dropped the movie completely.

Saying that he will instead publish the screenplay, Tarantino wants to find out who is responsible for the appearance of the script online and has launched his own investigation:  “I gave it to three motherf**king actors. We met in a place and I put it in their hands. It’s got to be either the agents of Dern or Madsen. Please name names”.

The actors named by Tarantino are James Madsen and Bruce Dern, who is nominated for a 2014 Best Actor Academy Award . The director also said that the script was give to Tim Roth, but he has been ruled out as the source of the leak.

The director’s anger at the betrayal was palpable as he explained he would not make The Hateful Eight his next production: “I give it out to six people, and if I can’t trust them to that degree, then I have no desire to make it. I’ll publish it. I’m done. I’ll move on to the next thing. I’ve got 10 more where that came from.”

Tarantino is one of Hollywood’s favourite directors, having worked on Django Unchained, Pulp Fiction and True Romance to name a few.
