Long before Mean Girls was given a Dublin makeover, Disney characters were given a Mean Girls makeover, and every now and again we check in on it… you know… for the lols.

Like YouTube sensations, Antoine Dodson and Sweet Brown, Mean Disney Girls has been a source of mirth in the SHEmazing! HQ for years, and today we decided to revisit the little gem.

And it seems we’re not alone.

Despite the fact it was uploaded a staggering six years ago, people continue to view and comment on it  – hello 13,183,102 hits – and their comments are almost as fetch as the vid itself.

“The funny thing is that I've always thought that Aurora looked like a bitch,” wrote one while another quoted the best line in the whole damn film, writing ”I just wanna bake a cake full of rainbows and smiles and we can all just eat it and be happy."

Oh, and then there’s the Disney version of Damien.

I mean, need we say more?

Cartoon creators have long been criticised for their limited depiction of female beauty, but over the last few years Disney has made a notable effort to introduce greater ethnic diversity into its productions.

While this move has received much praise, many people still believe that not enough body types are represented by the much-loved Disney princesses.

Because of this situation YouTube star Loey Lane decided to film herself dressed in a Little Mermaid style bikini.

In a video which had been viewed more than 160,000 times since March, the plus-size fashion and beauty vlogger explains why having curvy Disney princesses or Barbies to look up to as a child would have made her feel more comfortable with her own body.

The self-proclaimed "Not So Little Mermaid" reflects back on one childhood experience in particular when she visited a Disney centre on a youth trip and realised that the Little Mermaid character who best represented her frame was the evil villain Ursula.

A subsidiary company of Disney has pleaded guilty to two criminal charges after Harrison Ford broke his leg while filming Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

While filming the movie in 2014, the actor was crushed by a hydraulic door on the set of the Millennium Falcon at the Pinewood Studios in the UK.

Harrison had to be air-lifted to hospital and underwent surgery on his leg, after the prop, that supposedly weighs as much as a small car, trapped him.

Filming on the set of Star Wars had to be postponed for three weeks due to the incident.

According to the BBC, the UK's HSE tired to incriminate the production company with four criminal charges, but Production Ltd only pleaded guilty to two Heath & Safety charges at Aylesbury Crown Court today.

Sentencing will take place on August 22.

Earlier this year, Disney announced that they are adding on to three of their theme-parks; Disneyland, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disneyworld but, we didn't expect it to look so ah-mazing.

Star Wars Land is officially in the works and the company just gave us a little glimpse of what it's going to look like.

In a new blog post by Disney Parks, a new image was revealed of the Star Wars galaxy.

"Nestled between towering spires of rock, this thriving port contains a seemingly familiar architecture of markets, landing zones and buildings.

"Look closely and you may find hints of some of the thrilling experiences that are coming – like the Millennium Falcon peeking out of one of the cargo bays, marking the location where guests will ge the opportunity to pilot the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy."

There's still no opening date for Star Wars Land, but we can only guess it'll take a while to create that much magic.

Disney star Debby Ryan was arrested for drunk driving in April, and she finally received her sentence today.

According to E!, the actress was driving around LA when she crashed into another car. LAPD confirmed that the 23-year-old was then arrested on a felony DUI, however her offence was reduced to two misdemeanour counts of driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol level above .08.

Later that week, Debby took to Twitter to apologise to her fans.

"Over the last few days I have had the chance to think about my actions, and I wish I had used better judgement.

"I recognise that I am a role model and have always worked hard to set a good example for my millions of fans. I am so sorry to disappoint everyone."

Today, Debby pleaded no contest to driving under the influence and she was sentenced to three years probation. She will also need to complete three months in a DUI program and community service.

Beth Louise Carr has such a love for Disney, that she has spent her entire student loan, somewhere to the tune of €26,000, on Disney memorabilia and trips to Disney theme parks.

Beth admits to falling in love with Disney after watching Beauty And The Beast as a child.

The art student has since collected thousands of toys, and has visited Disney resorts nine times all over the world.

Beth, who from her instagram account appears to have a promising career as an artist, has turned an entire room in her house into a fairytale dream land.

The young woman from Sunderland has admitted to having "thousands of Disney toys all over the house."

"I own five Disney outfits, with a wardrobe filled with Disney inspired T-shirts and accessories" she went on to tell the Mail Online.

Boyfriend of the mega-fan, Lee Creighton, believes that Beth has spiralled out of control, and has had to ban her from all Disney stores in the UK.

Despite the ban, Lee has gone to Disneyland in Paris a number of times with his girlfriend, and supports her love of all things Disney.

Beth started her Disney clad instagram three years ago, and it has now gained 2,100 followers, most of whom appear to be fellow Disney fans.

Beth also told the Mail Online about her reasons for loving Disney, citing a hard childhood where "Disney always managed to put a smile on my face."

Beth and Lee are set to jet off to Disney World in Orlando this September.

Well according to People, Christy is currently expecting her first child with writer husband Brendan Rooney and what makes the news even cuter is that the baby is due on Christmas Day.

Since finishing her role as Ren in Even Stevens, Christy has put her voice to the cartoon character Kim Possible and played Belle in a Broadway production of Beauty and the Beast.

In the world of Kanye West, anything is possible.

He's already compared himself to God and Jesus, so it's kinda no wonder people have started to think he's involved with Disney.

Well, Justin Bieber thinks he is, anyway.

After sharing a photo of Kanye for his birthday, the Biebs captioned the pic: "Legend #waltdisney."

This has sparked a lot of rumours that Kanye is indeed the voice of some magical prince, or that he's going to star in a live-action movie of one of the Disney Princess films, but no dice.

Our guess is that Justin was simply referring to Kanye's tweet from February which read: "I'm this generation's Disney… I want to bring dope s**t to the world…"

As avid Disney fans, Kanye is nowhere close to Walt Disney. Soz.

But hey, whatever floats his boat.

If you love Disney, have ever been to Disneyland, or are simply just the smallest Mickey Mouse fan, then you need to see the GIGANTIC Disney cruise ship that arrived in Dublin this morning. GAH.

Carrying nearly 4,000 people, the Disney Magic Cruiseliner stopped in Dublin at 5.30am as it's making its way from Port Canaveral in Florida to Dover in the UK.

The ship is absolutely massive. Huge. It has 11 decks on board and is 300m long, making it the perfect size to comfortably enter and turn around in the River Liffey.

Passengers on the cruise were given Cruise Dublin Visitor passes this morning so they could enjoy the city before departing at 5.30pm this evening.

They were also greeted by what Dublin Port described as a "Game of Thrones inspired entertainment spectacle."

It seems like Disney are adding another princess to their list as Snow White is set to get a new sister.

Red Rose was one of the original Grimm Brothers' fairy tales, and while their story didn't include Snow White, producers at Disney have decided to make Rose a "companion piece," claims The Hollywood Reporter.

The story transposes Rose Red into the Snow White tale, making her a key player in the later part of the story.

When Snow White takes a bite from the infamous poisonous apple and falls into her sleeping death, her estranged sister, Rose Red, must go on a scary quest with the dwarves to find a way to break the curse and bring Snow White back to life.

We think this is going to be one kick-ass princess and we can't wait to see the trouble she gets into while trying to save her sister. Who said we're too old for a princess movie, anyway?

With Game of Thrones and Star Wars both filming here last year, it seems that Ireland is becoming even more popular when it comes to films and TV shows.

And now The Disney Channel wants a piece of the action. The network is currently filming a new musical TV show in Northern Ireland in hopes it will become as popular as High School Musical.

The show titled The Lodge is set in Montalto Estate in County Down but it's also setting its sights on Castlewellan and Tollymore Forest.

David Levine, director of programming for the Disney Channel in the UK and Ireland said: “Northern Ireland has a great production pool and up until now it has been mostly known for swords and dragons.

“Disney Channel is bringing songs and dancing – we have a great, talented cast who can not only act but sing and dance and we have original songs.”

“We’re investing quite a bit, and you have production, post-production, builders, sets and filming in multiple locations here.”

The Lodge will film in Co Down until this summer, with it set to air on Disney in September.
