Ten years after its TV debut, Disney Channel has announced that a new movie is in the works.

But it's not any movie, no, it's High School Musical FOUR.

MTV reports that the channel revealed the good news last night, saying that a nationwide cast search has already begun.

But don't get too excited about the original cast. Unfortunately Disney think Zac and the gang are too old for high school now but instead they plan on making it with an all-new cast (sob) and have a Romeo and Juliet/ West Side Story-type vibe.

Basically, this franchise made millions, and Disney is hoping to recreate its magic by getting their heads back in the game

British actress Emily Blunt is reportedly in talks to take on the role of the iconic Mary Poppins in an upcoming sequel to the 1960's classic.

The sequel will reportedly take place twenty years after the events of the first film and is to take plot lines from other P.L Travers' books about Mary's continuing adventures with the Banks family.

Emily, who we think we make an excellent Mary though we don't envy having to fill Julie Andrews' incredibly large shoes, was a favourite for the role ever since she worked with Disney execs on 2014's musical offering Into the Woods.

Rob Marshall, who directed Into the Woods, Chicago and Pirates of the Caribbean, is set to direct the fantasy sequel.

Though talks are ongoing, many news outlets are reporting that Emily's recent announcement that she is pregnant with her second child to John Krasinski may influence her decision on whether to take the role.

The deal has not been finalised but according to Variety, Disney are eager to get production rolling.

The original 1964 movie saw Julie Andrews play the infamous magical nanny who changes the fortunes of a miserable family in London.

A big-hearted Disney fan is making kids’ dreams come true with her uncanny fairytale princess impersonations.

Sarah Ingle from Denver in Colorado has spent an astonishing €12,500 on costumes and wigs to turn herself into some of Disney’s most-loved princesses including Snow White, Cinderella, Anna, Elsa and Ariel.

And we have to say we’d come over a little ‘Disney fan-girl’ ourselves if we met her – she looks SO like them that it’s like our fave characters have stepped out of the telly and come to life!

Sarah is a marketing manager by day, but spends many weekends as her princess alter ego, visiting children in hospital in full costume.

“People often compliment me on my looks when I'm in character, and children always think I'm a real princess which is lovely,” she says.

“I'll never forget the day that I was asked to perform for a little girl who was celebrating the beginning of a break from her cancer treatments. Seeing her face light up as she sang along with me was just incredible and it was just the most amazing day.”

Isn’t it amazing how caring and passionate people like Sarah find their own unique ways to make a difference? We can only imagine the happiness she brings to the kids she visits.

So the internet is reeling as fans find yet another connection between two classic Disney films.

Thanks to Tumblr, we now have a pretty solid link between Aladdin and Beauty & the Beast that you probably never noticed before.

One Disney uber-fan recognised that Belle's favourite book as mentioned at the beginning of Beauty & the Beast when she is visiting a book store, may well be another well-known Disney classic.

http://disneymom.tumblr.com/post/26601386780/my-mind-is-blown

Don't believe us?

Belle describes her favourite book at the start of the film as including far off places, daring sword fights, magic spells and a prince in disguise.

All sounds very familiar…

And the according to MTV, the link is totally tenable as a lot of the same people worked on each of the films one after the other.

Fair play Disney fans, fair play.

If you thought you had seen the last of Disney's most popular animated film ever, you have been seriously misinformed.

Because not only is Frozen getting a sequel, but it will also be made into a Broadway musical for 2018.

And we are totally not ashamed to say that as fully-fledged adults, we adore this film.

Following on from the success of the movie and the animated short Frozen Fever, Disney has announced that it will be adapting the beloved kids story to the stage.

And the company intends to include many of the same writers and musicians who were involved in the original film.

YES.

Disney also announced a sequel in December.

"We enjoyed making Frozen Fever so much and being back in that world with those characters," said John Lassester, chief creative officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios.

"[Writers] Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we're taking you back to Arendelle. We are so excited about that."

We love gingerbread houses of all shapes and sizes and hey, if Hanzel and Grettle can eat a house made of sweets, why can't we, right?!

But, we fell in love with this Up-themed gingerbread house, spotted on Delish, so much and now we don't know whether to eat it or just look and adore it.

The amazing display has every detail from the movie; the pastel colours, the small front porch and of course, the thousands of colourful balloons.

If only we could make a gingerbread house like that.

Former Disney star Tiffany Thornton is struggling to come to terms with the death of her late husband, Chris Carney.

Chris passed away when the car he was travelling in swayed off U.S. Highway 70 East and crashed into a tree in Hot Springs, Arkansas, according to local station KTHV.

My life. My love. My angel.

The 35-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, along with his friend, Ezekiel Blanton, who was driving at the time.

Tiffany's heartfelt tribute to her husband on Instagram was followed with a picture of the pair on their wedding day.

There are so many things I want you to know about Chris but most importantly you must know how earnestly he pursued the Lord, especially in the past year. No one is perfect in this world and we all have our battles but it's the way we get back on our feet and turn it around that really counts. And he did it. He was so on fire for God and I know he flew straight into the arms of Jesus, his best friend. Please if you're reading this know that Chris would want you to know the Lord. Don't wait to run back to God. Our days are numbered and God is just waiting for you to come back to him. There is so much power in the redemption God gives us and I am so grateful that Chris and I got to fall in love all over again this past year. He was on such an amazing path for the Kingdom, having just gone on a mission trip to Peru with his dad where he shared his beautiful testimony and brought so many people to the Lord. He finished writing, directing, producing and editing his first Christian film and he and I got to star in it together as love interests who end up getting married. He was THE BEST father my children could ever have, an incredibly loving and sensitive husband, a wonderful brother and amazing son. He is already so dearly missed but I promise to spend the rest of my life sharing his testimony so that those who feel they have no place or have come from a place of struggle can learn that the love of the Lord can save us all. We will have a service in remembrance of him Monday, December 7th at 3pm and First Church of the Nazarene here in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Visitation will begin at 1:30pm. Thank you for your continued prayers for our family as we grieve the loss of my best friend Chris, the most incredible person I've ever had the blessing of knowing.

Tiffany's co-star and long-time BFF, Demi Lovato also shared an emotional message on social media.

The 23-year-old, who was Tiffany's bridesmaid, wrote: "Been trying to figure out what to say all day… This morning I woke up to terrible news. My good friend Chris Carney has passed away.

"This picture is a perfect example of the love he shared with Tiff and how much fun he was to be around. I've been to many weddings but this is by far the most memorable because the way they looked into each other's eyes and the love they had for one another.

"There were tons of laughs and tons of tears and I'll never forget the way he looked at her."

Is Tinder just not doing it for you these days? Do you worry you will never find a partner who loves Frozen as much as you do?

Is your idea of the perfect date a stroll through Disneyland Paris?

Well, there is now a Disney dating site dedicated to matching up couples based on their Disney fandom.

We have heard of niche dating sites, but this one may just take the biscuit.

Yep, if you just knew your soul mate would have to be an aficionado on all things Mickey Mouse, then your prayers have just been answered.

The new site launched two days ago and is adorably named Mouse Mingle.

According to the brains behind the project, Dave Tavres, "Niche dating sites are more common these days."

"I found it hard to find women who were as interested in Disney as I am. All the normal [dating] sites don’t have Disney questions."

Well, we reckon Dave is about to hit the jackpot.

Users who sign up to the site will be asked a number of questions about their Disney preferences from their favourite characters to their all time favourite Disney songs.

These answers will then help users to find the Beauty to their Beast.

Johnny Depp is a movie star that completely captivates his audiences. No matter what role he plays, it's clear he puts in every effort for it to be great.

That's why it's so surprising to find out that Johnny nearly didn't get the chance to bring one of his most famous characters, Captain Jack Sparrow, to life.

The Pirates of the Caribbean character might not have made it on to the big screen as Disney executives didn't love his acting choices and wanted to get rid of the star.

One of Disney's former head execs, Michael Eisner was apparently not pleased and according to Johnny, said, "Johnny Depp's ruining the film!"

Speaking to Moviefone, he then continued: "They wanted to fire me. I fully expected to be fired, and I got a call from the upper echelon at Disney who were courageous enough to ask me, 'What the f**k  are you doing?'"

Mr Depp's eccentric portrayal of Captain Jack has since become one of the most famous movie roles of all time (not to mention the inspiration of countless fancy-dress costumes), but it seriously concerned those financing the film at the start.

"The questions came up, 'Is the performance drunk? Is it gay?' All I could say was – 'cause they set me up with a great line – I said, 'Well don't you know all my characters are gay?'" he laughed. "They were actually gonna put subtitles under my character, they couldn't understand Captain Jack."

The Disney execs finally relented and allowed Johnny to go ahead with the role, and the rest, as they say, is cinematic history. Here's hoping he can still make movie magic with the next instalment of the series, due out 2017.
