This year’s winner of the Oscar for Best Actress, Cate Blanchett, is set to shine in her portrayal of the evil stepmother in Disney’s Cinderella remake.

Blanchett’s performance was praised during a sneak preview at CinemaCon.

Cinderella is only one is a massive range of classic Disney movies, so much so that we are getting a bit sceptical.

Maleficent, starring Angelina Jolieis due for release next month while two separate versions of The Jungle Book are being remade also.

It has also been said that the 2015 remake of Cinderella has many similarities to the 1950s original in terms of storyline and costume design.

Which could never be a bad thing!

Helena Bonham Carter is set to take on the role of the fairy godmother. Surprisingly, Johnny Depp and Tim Burton are nowhere in sight.

Lily James who plays the cheeky Rose in Downton Abbey will star in the lead role of Cinderella while her Prince Charming will be portrayed by Game of Thrones star Richard Madden.

Buzzfeed have disclosed a Disney theory from fans on Tumblr that proves an undeniable link between Tangled, Frozen and the classic Little Mermaid movies.

We are obsessed with this right now, we hope Disney confirm!

Ok so, let’s get into context.

As some of you may know, there is a cameo by Rapunzel and Eugene in Frozen, see here:

Hmm, what were they doing there? Well, as we know, Frozen is set three years after the sinking of the King and Queen of Arendelle’s ship which killed them.

And Tangled was released exactly three years before Frozen.

It doesn’t say where the King and Queen were going but the timeline suggests they could have been on their way to Rapunzel and Eugene’s wedding which they didn’t make tragically. Which could be why Rapunzel and Eugene decided to attend Elsa’s coronation in Arendelle.

Also, the mapped area of all three movies is very close, as this fan wrote: “Kingdom of Corona is in Germany. Kingdom of Arendelle is in Norway. The Little Mermaid was near Denmark. What if the sunken ship in The Little Mermaid is the king and queen of Arendelle’s?”

We’ll just have to spend the weekend watching all three. You know, for research purposes.

This may well be the best ever rendition of Disney favourite Frozen’s ultra-hit Let it Go.

This new cover stars only one man and a mic but features guest appearance from a variety of different Disney and Pixar favourites such as Mickey Mouse, Scar and even Winnie the Pooh.

In just under four minutes, Dallas Baptist University student Brian Hull delivers 21 different impressions to belt out the song.

“With so many covers of Let it Go coming out, people may forget the original Disney magic that this song has,” 22-year-old Hull posted with the video on YouTube, ”so what better way to preserve that magic with other Disney and Pixar characters singing the song!”

This is SO much worse (and funnier) than Leo’s PhilMania slip at the Golden Globes.

While trying to introduce Frozen‘s Idina Menzel, John Travolta uttered something that resembled “Adele Dazeem” instead of the Broadway star’s actual name.

We can only assume he has about twenty people to tell him his one line, as well as having it in front of him while reading it aloud, so how did he get it wrong?

Watch the hilarious clip above – it is so cringe-worthy.

Despite Travolta’s rocky intro to her performance, Idina absolutely killed it on stage and her performance was flawless.

It has been reported that director of Frost/Nixon and A Beautiful Mind, Ron Howard, is in talks with Warner Bros. about creating a live-action adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book.

It was originally decided that director of Babel and 21 Grams, Alejandro González Iñárritu, would take on the project but he had to let it go due to scheduling commitments.

Warner Bros. aren’t the only ones with their eyes on a live-action adaptation of the classic however, as Disney are releasing their own under the direction of Friends‘ Jon Favreau in October 2015.
