Every break-up is hard, but it appears that Kerry Katona is really struggling with her latest split-up.

The former Atomic Kitten announced that she had ended her one-year marriage to George Kay last month after it was reported that he had assaulted her

The singer spoke to OK! Magazine and admitted that the break-up was difficult but it was "the right thing to do."

"George was with me 24/7. It's like somebody has died. He was my best friend," said the mother-of-five.

"There is no going back with George and me. That is what hurts so much, as I know he is a good person."

Ms Katona also admitted that she will never get married again after the breakdown of her most recent marriage but will always miss having George by her side.

"I think the hardest thing is walking away from somebody you love so much, but it's the right thing to do."

Aged 29 and working as an in-house lawyer at Lehman Brothers – her dream job – Stacey Becker was “on top of the world”.

Better still, she also had an amazing fiancé, Brad, whom she says “never missed an opportunity to shower me with affection”.

Following a whirlwind romance, Brad had proposed to Stacey on board a Caribbean cruise and before long she was planning their Hawaiian honeymoon and looking at dream homes.

But six months later Brad dropped a bombshell. “Stace, I love you so much,” he said. “But I’m not ready to marry you.”

At that stage some 300 people had been invited to a lavish wedding reception. Indeed, the bride-to-be herself had also already paid for her €3,150 ivory Reem Acra dress – sourced from Kleinfeld, an upmarket NYC boutique popular with celebrities.

“Despite his revelation, we continued to live together – until he got a job transfer to California,” Ms Becker explained in conversation with New York Post features writer, Doree Lewak.

“The man who claimed he loved me couldn’t move farther away if he tried.”

Then came the out-of-the-blue phone call just three months after he had called off the engagement: it was Brad on the line, telling her he had gotten engaged to another woman.

“It just happened so quickly,” he told Stacey, noting it was someone he had only recently met.

In the aftermath, Stacey recalled “constantly having to explain to people what I did with the ring, and how I recouped my money”.

“Well, after being tempted to cash in on the ring, I returned it to Brad,” she described. “And lost deposits on most vendors.”

“If there was ever a rock bottom, this was it.”

But then, in August 2007, Ms Becker got a call from a friend inviting her to his wedding – a celebration which incidentally was being held on the very same day she had been due to marry Brad.

Stacey with Jonny; they've know each other since they were teens

Her initial response was “no way,” until a mutual friend – Jonny – whom she’d know since the age of 13 invited her along as his date “more out of concern than romantic interest”.

“I moaned, but Jonny was always there to make me laugh,” she said, recalling how he told her: “You can’t miss my wedding version of the Michael Jackson Thriller dance. You’ll be so terrified, it will be impossible to think about anything else.”

Two years later, Jonny got down on one knee and told her that he loved her. “Will you marry me?” he asked.

With Ellie as a newborn and Wally the pup – the whole family

“It was so different this time around,” said Stacey. “I chose a simple A-line gown, and we had a relatively small, 100-person wedding in San Juan, Puerto Rico.”

Now, Jonny and Stacey have been married for five years, and they adore their 19-month-old daughter, Ellie.

“Looking back, I see that getting dumped before my wedding strangely gave me new confidence to stand on my own.

“I had bought myself an apartment with my own money, and while there were definitely moments of feeling hopeless, I never lost all hope.”

She concluded: “For anyone who feels despair from heartbreak, know you’re not alone. Love is out there, but you have to be patient and recognise it.

“It might not always come in the package you expect it to come in, but you’ll know it when you have it.”

Stacey, Jonny and Ellie live with their dog, Wally, on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. She is the author of Knot The One: Why Getting Dumped Before My Wedding Was the Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me. You can also look at her website here.

She broke up with her boyfriend of six months, James Harden, last week in light of her estranged husband's collapse and hospitalisation.

Now Khloe Kardashian, 31, is officially throwing herself back into her marriage: she and Lamar Odom have gone to court to dissolve the divorce paperwork they filed in July.

TMZ reports that Ms Kardashian's lawyer Laura Wasser went before a judge this morning asking that the documentation they both signed to end their marriage be withdrawn.

Ms Wasser had with her a written statement from Mr Odom, which he had penned from his hospital bed, writes the New York Daily News.

The court has now granted the request and their file has been thrown out. This all means, of course, that the couple (they married in September 2009) very much plan on remaining husband and wife.

"This is a very delicate and difficult time for both Lamar and Khloé, and the most sensible thing to do at such a time is not make any big moves and put everything on hold," a source also told PEOPLE.

"So that’s what she is doing."

The duo had split in December 2013 but conflicting emotions meant they never actually got around to signing official divorce papers until earlier this year.

Khloe’s rapper ex French Montana, whom she dated last year, has called her vigil at her estranged husband's bedside "a beautiful thing."

"I feel like once somebody's going through a critical condition, I feel like people should step up to the plate to help because once upon a time they had a real relationship when they was married, they still married," he told the New York Daily News.

It is believed that 35-year-old Lamar's recovery and rehabilitation will now take months. And certainly, he's lucky to be alive – a fact that evidently has made both him and his wife reevaluate their love for one another.

They've been inseparable for close-to six months.

Indeed, in August when a loved-up Khloe Kardashian threw a mega 26th birthday bash for the equally-smitten basketball star James Harden, it very much seemed that the pair were the real-deal.

However, in light of her estranged husband's collapse in a Nevada brothel and subsequent hospitalisation, Ms Kardashian has been forced to re-evaluate their fledgling relationship.

And despite friends and family being hugely supportive of their union, it's not good news for Mr Harden.

Yes, perhaps unsurprisingly, the 31-year-old reality TV star has now made the decision to cut all romantic ties with James so she can focus 100 percent on Lamar Odom's rehabilitation and recovery – which reportedly will take several months.

TMZ, which broke the story, now says: "We're told Khloe is putting her relationship with the NBA star on ice, and as one source puts it, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see she still has deep feelings for Lamar."

She and Lamar, 35, split in December 2013 but only signed divorce papers in recent months – documentation which hasn't yet been processed.

Ms Kardashian dated rapper French Montana last year before hooking up with 6ft 5in Houston Rockets star James.

After staying quiet on social media while Mr Odom remained in a critical condition, Mr Harden has in the last 48hours made a return to Instagram. He posted a snap which shows him posing up alongside Houston Astros baseball star, Carlos Correa.

On Sunday an interview he did before Lamar's collapse appeared in the The Houston Chronicle. "Turning 26 was special,' Mr Harden admitted.

"Khloe did an amazing job with the birthday party."

He added that professionally and personally, things in his life were going well. "Everything is flowing. Everything is what I imagined it would be," James explained. "My family is great. Friends. Everyone is in a good place right now."

It's been a particularly baffling breakup: even in celebrity terms.

When Brian McFadden and Vogue Williams announced their split in July – via identical messages on Twitter – their fans were undoubtedly shocked.

Married for just two-and-half years, the couple had recently bought a house together in north Dublin and had acquired a new puppy.

Even their closest friends were said at the time to be taken aback by the revelation of the duo's apparent marital strife.

Since then, the stars have also rarely been out of each other's company, attending a load of the same high-profile events and regularly directing public messages to one another – complete with kisses – on social media.

Indeed, when the model and DJ celebrated her 30th birthday in Dublin earlier this month, she did so with the former Westlife crooner by her side.

But then, Brian, 35, and Vogue are still living together in London, with Vogue explaining that "it's hard," to find a place in the English capital.

Now, there are fresh claims that the close pair are in fact in the midst of reconciling.

A well-placed source told the The Mirror: "Officially, both are saying they’re still not together.

"But it’s plain to see there’s still chemistry there and their old feelings for one another haven’t gone away."

There is currently no official comment from either camp.

Incredibly, online commentators have recently begun to increasingly question whether the pair ever really broke up in the first place.

"It was a publicity stunt to raise Vogue's profile," suggested one. "It worked. She's been in the media more than ever since their 'split'."

Another offered: "This has been a master class as to how to keep you name in the papers."

But a third was kinder, saying they'd love to see them reunite: "Yea I don't believe that they really split up. You can tell that they adore each other and nothing has come out about why they split. In an interview recently he described her as his 'best friend'.

"As amicable as a divorce can be, I wouldn't say that's how you would refer to your ex. Would be nice to see them back together."

Mr McFadden has, of course, experienced marital breakdown before: he and his first wife Kerry Katona were married for two-and-a-half years. They broke up in 2004 and together have two children, Molly, 13, and Lilly-Sue, 12.

Curiously, his own break-up announcement came hot on the heels of gossip that Kerry and her third marriage, to George Kay, was over. That couple have now confirmed their split and are in the midst of divorcing.

Also engaged for several years to Aussie singer Delta Goodrem, Brian married Ms Williams in a lavish ceremony held in Florence in September 2012, photographs of which were featured in a glossy Hello! magazine spread.

This morning is was reported that George Kay, Kerry Katona's bouncer husband of a year, had been arrested on assault charges.

The serious incident seemingly took place over the weekend at the home they share and in the aftermath the reality TV star and former Atomic Kitten singer is said to be sporting bruising on her "face and arms".

And now Ms Katona, 35, has confirmed that the marriage – her third – is indeed over.

In an official statement to New! magazine made this afternoon, a spokesman for the mother-of-five stated: “It is with deep sadness that Kerry announces the end of her marriage to George Kay.

“Her focus now will be on her gorgeous children.”

Although the pair only married last year, their relationship has always been turbulent.

They have a child together, 18-month-old Dylan-Jorge, while Kerry has four other offspring from her two previous marriage to Brian McFadden, whom she wed in 2002, and Mark Croft, her husband from 2007 until 2011.

Ms Katona and Mr Kay have been together for a little over two years.

In the fledging stages of their union she revealed in her OK! column: "I’ve known him for 18 years, since I was at school, but I literally bumped into him one night and we’ve been together ever since.

"I’ve kept him off-radar because he’s been in jail for blackmail, which sounds a lot worse than it is, but people have said 'he’s bad news, he’s another Mark Croft.' He’s nothing like Mark."

She has found love with Aussie billionaire James Packer, and now Mariah Carey's ex-husband has also put their divorce firmly behind him.

Yes, TV presenter Nick Cannon appears to be dating Massachusetts-native Samantha Johnson, a gorgeous America's Got Talent contestant (he also hosts the show) who just happens to bear a STRIKING resemblance to his former wife.

In fact, we positively did a double-take!

Not that the man himself seems to mind the comparison. In fact, it is now being reported that Mr Cannon, 34, is delighted that everyone is remarking on the similarity.

A source told Star magazine: "Nick obsesses over how much Samantha resembles his ex. He has gotten a kick out of comparing their smiles."

Samantha was voted off AGT at the semi-finals stage earlier this month. And while the 26-year-old was cautious of being too tactile with Nick on-set, she is said to be more eager to go public in the aftermath of her dismissal from the reality TV show.

Indeed, she took to Twitter early this morning to announce that from tomorrow, fans will be able to fund her debut album.

Nick and Mariah, 45, married in 2008 after whirlwind romance. They went on to have twins – a boy and a girl – together but sadly announced their separation in 2014. He filed for divorce last December.

Ms Carey remains one of music's biggest stars. Having sold tens of millions of albums during her 25-year career, she is worth close-to half a billion euro.

They were married for just three years – but a decade after their divorce; Jessica Simpson says that Nick Lachey remains her most costly mistake.

The businesswoman – now worth some €132m – was speaking on CNBC’s Closing Bell slot yesterday when she was asked about what her most expensive blunder was.

“My first marriage,” the 35-year-old star says immediately before breaking out into a smile.

During their time together, Jessica and Nick, 41, famously appeared in three series of the hit reality MTV show, Newlyweds.

It made them both international stars, but they filed for divorce in December 2005; they had said ‘I do,’ during a lavish ceremony held in her native Texas in October 2002.

Both Ms Simpson and Mr Lachy now have children from their current relationships: he has been married to Vanessa Minnillo since 2011, while she wed Eric Johnson last year following a lengthy engagement.

Earlier this year, Jessica said she'd have a “panic attack,” if she had to watch an episode of Newlyweds now.

This all seems to be happening very quickly.

David Williams and Lara Stone are reportedly set to finalise their separation only six months after the pair split.

The estranged couple -who agreed to a trial separation in March – will ask a judge to formally end their five year marriage at London's Central Family Court today.

If their plea is accepted, their marriage of half a decade could be officially over in the next six weeks.

Lara and David have a reported wealth of almost £19m (€26m)- David has a net worth of £16.3m (€21m) and Lara £2.6m (€3.6m).

The news of their split came as a big surprise to friends and fans despite the fact they have barely been seen together since 2014.

David and Lara both attended Sir Elton John's wedding to David Furnish and two days later watched the London production of Edwards Scissorhands together, which was the last time they were seen out in public together.

They had their first child together in 2012, Alfred Williams, who Lara took with her when she left David.

Their recent nuptials were the talk of Hollywood: together for four years – and engaged for three – Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux should still very much be in the throes of newly-wedded bliss.

Indeed, and despite their lengthy engagement, the actors were seen to have a rock-solid union.

But the couple, who said their vows during a top secret ceremony on August 5 at their €20m LA home, have now been shaken by claims that their three-week-old marriage is OVER.

Specifically, the most recent edition of Life & Style magazine claims that Ms Aniston, 46, can "no longer fake the happiness".

A source goes on to explain that she and Mr Theroux are "fighting non-stop," and that 45-year-old Justin is simply “happier when he’s away from her than when he’s with her”.

“She can’t even fake the happiness anymore," the Life & Style source adds. "Jen is wondering if she made the biggest mistake of her life by marrying Justin."

Whether the rumour is true or not has yet to be confirmed by the couple's representatives, however, one thing does seem certain: they are currently apart – albeit for filming.

He has now begun work on his new HBO series, The Leftovers in Texas, while Jen is filming in Atlanta for Mother's Day.

Following their wedding, the love-birds had enjoyed a sun-soaked trip to luxurious Bora Bora for their honeymoon – and, unusually, they were joined by a gaggle of pals including Jason Bateman and Courteney Cox.

If true, Justin and Jennifer could lay claim to one of showbusiness's shortest marriages.

Members of that notorious group include the likes of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries, Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson, and Britney Spears and Jason Alexander.

Megan Fox is one of Hollywood’s big-hitters when it comes to big earnings… and it seems that she’ll have to cough up big too when it comes to marital breakdown.

On Friday, it was announced that the 29-year-old is set to divorce fellow actor 42-year-old Brian Austin Green; her husband of five years, the father of her two children, and the man she’s spent more than a decade with.

Mr Green has been working fairly steadily since the mid-Eighties, mainly on TV shows such as Beverly Hills 90210, CSI, Smallville, and Desperate Housewives. However, his roles have never come anywhere near those of Ms Fox – who has starred in the likes of Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

And a terrible car-crash seems to be the reason Brian will never be able to match her six- and seven-figure earnings.

Indeed, he has worked very little this year – an involuntary hiatus reportedly caused by a head-on collision he was involved in last December.

Brian, who was travelling in the car with Megan at the time, was hit by a drunk driver who was later arrested. The other car was moving at around 80km/h at the time, and the impact deployed the airbags in the Fox-Green vehicle.

And although Megan was unhurt in the incident, it did trigger a serious medical condition in Brian: vertigo – which affects balance.

Apparently Mr Green's vertigo is so bad he can't get out of bed, and can therefore no longer work.

All of which means: Megan will be looking at paying a generous monthly spousal allowance when the pair do divorce.

As an aside: we wonder what impact his condition has had on their marriage? The couple also has two sons too – a three-year-old and an 18-month-old – something which must only add to the pressure being put on their strained relationship.

Whatever the reasons behind their separation,  however, we reckon we’ll be seeing a lot more of the actress at the box-office from next year.

Their divorce was finalised last month – and she's been spotted with basketball player James Harden since June.

Indeed, friends expressed concern for Lamar Odom recently when he seemed to ambush Khloe Kardashian outside a Beverly Hills gym at 7am.

In the aftermath, the reality TV star and her family are said to be increasingly concerned for her safety.

Now, in what is described as a "lengthy, emotional and often-incoherent interview" with InTouch magazine, Mr Odom has made a series of incredible declarations, namely that Khloe remains his soul mate, that the duo are still married, that he will never be happy without her – and that any man attempting to romance her is "wasting his time".

Referring to the incident at Ms Kardashian's gym, he maintains: "I did not ambush Khloe. I am not a threat to her."

"That woman is my wife. Without the ring on my finger; with her picture being taken with another man, that woman is my wife," the former LA Lakers player furthermore states.

Lamar has had a particularly rough year: not only was his divorce from Khloe finalised last month – a year-and-a-half after their December 2013 split – but two of his closest friends died in drug-related incidents. The deaths are said to have left him devastated.

In the InTouch interview, he also declares that Khloe is his "soul mate". "I can't control it. We'll never part," he continues. "I would never consider myself serious with another woman.

"To sum it up, if a man is attempting to court Khloé, he's probably wasting his time."

He goes on to describe the 31-year-old KUWTK star as "brave and stubborn, the ultimate caregiver, a smart, intelligent, beautiful woman who has been through a lot, so I understand her pain".

Married from September 2009 (they met just a month before their nuptials), at the time of the pair's split their union was dogged by rumour of his infidelity and drug-taking. Indeed, he now seems acknowledge that he made "mistakes".

"If I made a mistake with another woman, it was a mistake," he says. "Another woman would tell you that Khloe is my wife. It is just the way it is."

The 35-year-old admits that seeing her with other men is "weird," but largely because "I really know how she feels about me".

The magazine reports that when it met with Lamar for a follow-up interview the next day, the athlete suddenly cut the meeting short claiming that he "had to go lie down in a car".
