It’s fair to say that Ivanka Trump probably doesn’t deserve a huge portion of the flak she receives, after all she’s found herself in an extremely difficult position – one she never asked for in the first place.

Following the election of her father, Donald Trump, as US President, Ivankas’s clothing line was dropped by a number of US retailers and just last week she was booed and jeered by crowds in Berlin when she defended her father’s family values.

It has now emerged that during the presidential campaign, Ivanka became frustrated with her father’s unapologetic nature.

When Access Hollywood released audio tapes which showed Donald Trump bragging about sexually assaulting women, the presidential candidate offered a lackluster apology to those who were offended by his words.

The campaign team knew this wouldn’t be enough, and according to a report by The New York Times, Ivanka urged him to give a ‘’full-throated apology’’. Rather unsurprisingly, Trump refused and Ivanka left the room on the verge of tears.

Ivanka kept her opinions quiet with regards to many issues that popped up during the campaign but according to Glamour, the business woman has hinted her disapproval of some things her father says, though she prefers not to reveal those opinions publicly.

Following her father’s election, Ivanka took up an official position in the White House, although she admitted to The Times that she still has a lot to learn.

“I do believe that in time I’ll get to the right place. In the short run I’ll have missteps, and, in some cases, I’ll take shots that I could have avoided if I had publicly said what I think.”

While Donald Trump's legacy will surely go down in history, the POTUS is now being immortalised further in a comedy series on the small screen.

Comedy Central has created a brand new weekly sketch called The President Show, which depicts the President in a late-night talk show.

The series was created by Anthony Atamanuik, a well known Trump impersonator, who also plays the POTUS in the show.

"The losers dominating late-night are in for a rude awakening when the smartest, handsomest, most winning-est president of all time enters the fray to address the nation," reads the Comedy Central description of the show.

Anthony's impersonation of President Trump is completely uncanny, and the teaser trailer for the show had us in stitches.

The President Show premieres on April 27, and we may just have to wait up to watch it.

Trump supporters on Twitter are not happy with Tina Fey’s latest comments condemning young white females who voted for the President.

During a star studded live-streamed telethon fundraiser for the American Liberties Union on Saturday the actress and comedian hit out at the demographic.

Making reference to a home improvement channel in the States, she said: ‘’A lot of this election was turned by white, college-educated women who now would like to forget about this election and go back to watching HGTV.’’

According to The Independent, preliminary exit polls conducted by Edison Research, showed that Donald Trump won 45 per cent of white college-educated women’s votes while Hillary Clinton won 51 per cent.

However, when you take into account all white female voters, both with and without a college degree, Trump came out on top with 53 per cent versus Clinton’s 43 per cent.

Fey went on to urge those young female Trump voters to look at the bigger picture, saying ‘’It doesn’t affect you this minute, but it’s going to affect you eventually.”

Viewers took to Twitter to express their outrage at Tina’s comments with many saying that the star’s comments were harsh and unfair.

Tina Fey isn’t the only celebrity to criticise white female Republican voters recently.

Girls creator and leading actress, Lena Dunham wrote an essay just days after the election results in which she described her disappointment at the large proportion of white women who chose not to vote for Clinton.

“It’s painful to know that white women, so unable to see the unity of female identity, so unable to look past their violent privilege, and so inoculated with hate for themselves, showed up to the polls for him.”

All the fecking lols.

Rory McIlroy decided to take some time our of his, er… downtime, to play a round of golf with controversial president Donald Trump.

The Irish golfer has been out of the game recently after suffering a stress fracture to the ribs – but didn't say no when good 'ol Donnie asked him out.

According to a website called No Laying Up, Rory rode around in a golf cart for the day, and said that the POTUS isn't too bad a golfer for a man of his age.

"He probably shot around 80. He's a decent player for a guy in his 70s."

Of course, Rory's fans were livid on social media, and didn't hide it, either:

What did you get yourself into, Rory?!

Celebrities like Madonna, George Clooney, Miley Cyrus and Lena Dunham have all been vocal about their support for Hillary Clinton in the past American Presidential election, but very few celebs have stood behind POTUS Donald Trump.

At the Grammy awards, one dress stood out on the red carpet a heck of a lot more than others, and it was all down to politics.

Singer/ songwriter Joy Villa donned a controversial dress showing her support for Donald Trump in a way that no celebrity had done before.

A post shared by Joy Villa (@joyvilla) on

The 25-year-old's fishtail dress was emblazoned with the words "make America great again," and featured Trump's name on the train.

The dress was covered up with a white cape before the dramatic red carpet reveal.

Since the stunt, Joy's EP I Make The Static shot to number one on the iTunes download chart.

The singer's social media following also increased dramatically, going from 15,000 Twitter followers to 106,000 in a matter of hours.

"No more being hidden, no more shame for standing on what you believe in. No matter your religion, your race or your political views remember you have a right to uphold them," the singer captioned an Instagram post of the ensemble that outraged many.

"Personal integrity is the highest honour of all."

The Phillipino designer of the dress Andre Soriano told the Hollywood Reporter: "We need to move this country forward, and we believe it’s time to promote love,"

"We only live once, and we need to promote love. We have one president now who is going to do the best thing for planet America."

Donald Trump has yet to tweet about Joy's daring gown.

Can Trump be trusted?

We think everyone knows the answer to that is nooo, but this video shows just how much he lies.

Every single night-time show host in the US is blatantly taking the p*ss out of the new president, but the best clip so far comes from Jimmy Kimmel.

"President Trump claims he doesn't know Vladimir Putin. He says he has no deals in Russia and if you can't take his word for it, take his other word for it," says Jimmy.

In the video, Trump is giving very contrasting answers to questions about Putin, and it's really ridiculous how many times he changes his mind about 'knowing' him.

The clip is two minutes long, so tuck in… it's pretty unbelievable.

President Donald Trump seems to be very interested in how women dress and present themselves.

According to a report by Axios, Trump likes the women who work for him "to dress like women."

Twitter was quick to take this statement to have sexist implications, and quickly responded to the president's seemingly sexist standards.

After all, what does it really mean to "dress like a woman?" A skirt and high heels at all times?

Twitter users have been uploading pictures of themselves dressed like women, but probably not quite in the gender-typical way Trump meant.

The women are proving that females can be tough and feminine at the same time.

They are proving that their skills and worth are not effected by not dressing in a traditionally feminine fashion.

Women working for the Trump campaign reportedly felt pressure to wear dresses in order to impress the POTUS.

"Even if you're in jeans, you need to look neat and orderly," the source told Axios

According to Axios' source, looking the part is hugely important to Trump due to his history with TV work, and it applies to both men and women.

The source explains that guys "need to have a certain look" and "be sharply dressed", and that Trump has a particular obsession with ties.

While the alleged rules may also apply to men, Trump hasn't previously fat shamed men or made any comments about wishing to grab them by their genitalia, so the movement to educate the POTUS on what women wear day-to-day is more than reasonable.

After all, there are plenty of kick-ass women out there today who slay at what they do, with or without the skirt.

As anti-Trump narrative intensifies across the United States, it's no surprise many American stars have been asked to voice their opinion on the business tycoon's ascension to the Oval Office.

And the latest actor to tackle that particular line of questioning was Matthew McConaughey.

During an interview with Andrew Marr, the Dallas Buyer's Club star suggested that it might be time to stop railing against the new president, and choose, instead, to accept the fact.

Commenting on Hollywood's disdain, Matthew simply says they don't have a choice but to accept the new president.

"He’s our president. It’s a very dynamic and as divisive of an inauguration and time as we’ve had. At the same time, it’s time for us to embrace, shake hands with this fact, and be constructive with him over the next four years."

Acknowledging the outrage caused by Trump's ideologies, Matthew continued: "Even those who most strongly may disagree with his principles or things he’s said or done – which is another thing, we’ll see what he does compared to what he has said – no matter how much you disagreed along the way, it’s time to think how constructive can you be."

"But he's our president for the next four years, at least," he added.

It's worth noting that it is not yet clear whether the interview took place before or after the introduction of Trump's executive order.

In response to President Donald Trump's hugely controversial order which prevents immigrants from certain Muslim country access into the United States, the head of global coffee chain, Starbucks, has insisted the corporation will do everything they can to counter the president's policies.

Speaking in the wake of Trump's executive order, Howard Schultz, penned a statement for the chain's official website which outlines the organisation's plans to hire 10,000 refugees across the globe.

"We have a long history of hiring young people looking for opportunities and a pathway to a new life around the world," he explained after insisting Starbucks would not maintain a silence around the new Administration's actions.

"This is why we are doubling down on this commitment by working with our equity market employees as well as joint venture and licensed market partners in a concerted effort to welcome and seek opportunities for those fleeing war, violence, persecution and discrimination."

While acknowledging that more than 65 million individuals are recognised as refugees worldwide, Howard explained that Starbucks intends to hire 10,000 across five years.

"And we will start this effort here in the U.S. by making the initial focus of our hiring efforts on those individuals who have served with U.S. troops as interpreters and support personnel in the various countries where our military has asked for such support," he continued.

Recognising the need to highlight the disparity between Trump's policies and Starbucks' ethos, Howard concluded by saying the executive order will not influence the latter.

"We are in business to inspire and nurture the human spirit, one person, one cup and one neighborhood at a time – whether that neighborhood is in a Red State or a Blue State; a Christian country or a Muslim country; a divided nation or a united nation."

"That will not change. You have my word on that," he concluded.

Meanwhile, members of the public in this country are adding their names to a campaign which urges Taoiseach Enda Kenny to boycott his St Patrick's Day visit to the United States.

Over 20,000 people have signed an online petition urging Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, to boycott the annual St Patrick's Day visit to the United States.

Reacting to President Trump's executive order which prevents immigrants from seven Muslim countries from entering the United States, thousands of Irish people have added their names to the campaign.

Shared on Uplift over the weekend, the Not In My Name petition has gained a considerable amount of traction  – something which has surprised the campaign's director Siobhán O' Donoghue.

"It’s rare we see petitions grow this quickly and gather this much momentum on social media in such a short space of time," she acknowledged.

Elaborating on the fervour behind the campaign, Siobhán explained that its popularity stems from the Irish public's desire to see their leader challenge the ideals of the US president.

"This shows that people in Ireland are disgusted by the behaviour of Donald Trump since he became president nine days ago, and want to see Enda Kenny show real leadership and courage in the face of such blatant racism and fascism on the part of Donald Trump," she said.

Many of those who signed the petition also made the decision to share their reasons with those visiting the website.

"I wasn't going to sign cause I could see how pragmatic politics needs to protect jobs etc. But seeing people with green cards turned away today? Sure there's no appeasing him, he could turn on Ireland for no reason," wrote one.

"So there's no reason to collude with the madness. 'stand for something or you'll fall for anything Ireland," they added.

Twitter is currently awash with similar sentiments from the public, with one social media user writing: "Don't meet @realDonaldTrump & think you're representing Irish people."

"I'm a constituent, and I want @EndaKennyTD to know that I do not support the St. Patrick's visit to the USA #notinmyname," added another.

For more than two decades, Taoisigh have visited the White House in order to present the American President with a bowl of shamrock.
