She may be known for her roles in House, The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants and Two and a Half Men but if the response to her latest Instagram post is anything to go by, Amber Tamblyn will now be known for her courage and bravery as well as her career moves.

In the wake of a leaked recording which highlighted Donald Trump's predatorial attitude towards women, Amber decided to share her own story of assault in a post which has racked up a staggering 28,000. likes in just 17 hours.

Explaining that she had the support of her husband, Amber opened up about an experience which she feels mirrors Mr. Trumps remarks in the aforementioned tapes.

Amber told her followers that while on a night out with her friends, she feared her abusive ex-boyfriend may attempt to find her – a fear which was soon realised when he turned up at the same venue as Amber.

I need to tell you a story. With the love and support of my husband, I've decided to share it publicly. A very long time ago I ended a long emotionally and physically abusive relationship with a man I had been with for some time. One night I was at a show with a couple girlfriends in Hollywood, listening to a DJ we all loved. I knew there was a chance my ex could show up, but I felt protected with my girls around me. Without going into all the of the details, I will tell you that my ex did show up, and came up to me in the crowd. He's a big guy, taller than me. The minute he saw me, he picked me up with one hand by my hair and with his other hand, he grabbed me under my skirt by my vagina— my pussy?— and lifted me up off the floor, literally, and carried me, like something he owned, like a piece of trash, out of the club. His fingers were practically inside of me, his other hand wrapped tightly around my hair. I screamed and kicked and cried. He carried me this way, suspended by his hands, all the way across the room, pushing past people until he got to the front door. My friends ran after him, trying to stop him. We got to the front door and I thank God his brothers were also there and intervened. In the scuffle he grabbed at my clothes, trying to hold onto me, screaming at me, and inadvertently ripped off my grandmother’s necklace, which I was wearing. The rest of this night is a blur I do not remember. How I got out to the car. How I got away from him that night. I never returned for my necklace either. That part of my body, which the current Presidential Nominee of the United States Donald Trump recently described as something he’d like to grab a woman by, was bruised from my ex-boyfriend's violence for at least the next week. I had a hard time wearing jeans. I couldn’t sleep without a pillow between my legs to create space. To this day I remember that moment. I remember the shame. I am afraid my mom will read this post. I'm even more afraid that my father could ever know this story. That it would break his heart. I couldn't take that. But you understand, don't you? I needed to tell a story. Enjoy the debates tonight.

Drawing a comparison between Trump's remarks and her boyfriend's actions, Amber continued: "The minute he saw me, he picked me up with one hand by my hair and with his other hand, he grabbed me under my skirt by my vagina— my p***y?— and lifted me up off the floor, literally, and carried me, like something he owned, like a piece of trash, out of the club."

After elaborating on the events which ultimately unfolded, Amber recalled the aftermath of the assault.

"That part of my body, which the current Presidential Nominee of the United States Donald Trump recently described as something he’d like to grab a woman by, was bruised from my ex-boyfriend's violence for at least the next week," she revealed.

Admitting that she found it incredibly difficult to share her experience, Amber finished the lengthy post by asking her followers to understand her motivation for doing so.

"But you understand, don't you? I needed to tell a story. Enjoy the debates tonight." she finished.

Amber has been inundated with supportive comments and feedback since posting her story last night.

Hollywood icon Robert De Niro has posted a video absolutely LASHING out at Donald Trump!

“I mean he is so blatantly stupid. He’s a punk, a dog, he’s a pig,” says a p**sed off Robert in the Vice Exclusives video.

“He talks how he'd like to punch people in the face?… Well, I'd like to punch him in the face” he continued in the black-and-white-video.

The video was originally recorded as part of a campaign to get people out to vote, and has since gone viral.

In his closing statement of the video, Robert says the following:

“What I care about is the direction of this country and what I’m very, very worried about is that it might go in the wrong direction with someone like Donald Trump.  If you care about your future, vote for it.”

Well, Robert… tell us how you really feel!

For a great many people, Donald Trump's true colours were shown long before this weekend, but if current commentary is anything to go by, it's a recently leaked tape which is likely to put the brakes on Trump's attempt to make it all the way to the White House.

Featuring conversation which took place between himself and TV presenter, Billy Bush, more than ten years ago, the tape confirms the argument that the business tycoon is little more than a sexist, misogynistic egomaniac.

From revealing he attempted "to f*ck" a well-known married woman to suggesting his 'star' status allows him to "grab women by the p***y", the leaked tape has intensified debate over Trump's suitability to hold office in the United States.

While Clinton supporters have used the tape to reinforce the argument that Hillary is the better candidate, Trump supporters haven't been shy in defending the billionaire against criticism.

And, unsurprisingly, Twitter is blowing up right now as members of the public argue the toss over the significance of the leaked recording.

Our favourite wizard, Daniel Radcliffe, was on the Graham Norton Show last night alongside Trolls co-stars Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick.

While chatting away to Graham, Daniel mentioned the time he had a face-to-face encounter with THE Donald Trump.

The 27-year-old told the story of what happened when he met Donald over 15 years ago.

"I was like 11 or 12 and it was when we were doing press for the first Potter movie, and they took us to New York" Daniel explained.

He continued: "I was about to do the Today Show and I'd never been American morning TV before, and I was quite nervous."

"Donald Trump had also been on that day. They walked me over to him because clearly they were like, somebody must have said, ‘Hey, you wanna meet the kid who plays Harry Potter?'"

Daniel then went on to explain how Donald gave him advice with regards to being nervous for the show.

"He said, ‘How are you?' I said, ‘I'm quite nervous. I've never been on TV before, I don't know what I'm gonna talk about.' And he brilliantly just said, ‘You tell them you just met Mr. Trump.'"

He literally told Harry Potter that he should talk about meeting Donald Trump on the show… rather than the hugely successful movies and books?

Trump would 100% be in Slytherin house…

Unless you've been living on another planet for the past year, you'll be all too aware that business tycoon (and all-round toupée lover) Donald Trump is running for the United States president.

In the process, he has managed to incense countless people with his anti-immigration policies and bombastic showmanship, but it's not only Donald himself who stokes the fire.

Supporting his father on Twitter earlier today, Donald Trump Jr. shared an image which encapsulates his father's controversial campaign, and social media users just aren't having it.

Comparing Syrian refugees to poisoned skittles, Donald Jr. wrote: "This image says it all. Let's end the politically correct agenda that doesn't put America first. #trump2016."

While the tweet did, indeed, receive praise (and 11,000 retweets) from some quarters, many, including Ruby Rose and Zach Braff, responded to the post with disbelief.

Responding to the controversy, Wrigley Americas, who own Skittles, said; "Skittles are candy. Refugees are people."

"We don't feel it's an appropriate analogy. We will respectfully refrain from further commentary as anything we say could be misinterpreted as marketing," they finished.

People don't like being put on the spot.

And people definitely don't like being put on the spot on national television.

But that generally doesn't stop them giving it their best shot for their big moment… as these poor guys and gals illustrated during a segment of Jimmy Kimmel Live this week.

After being approached by a 'reporter' for Lie Witness News and asked their opinion of Donald Trump's performance on Dancing With the Stars – no, he's not on it – they offered some pretty convincing assessments of a performance which did not take place.

From critiquing his style to mentioning the beef Twitter had with the appearance, these people weren't going to let their moment on the small screen slip through their fingers without saying something…although we really wish they had.

Watch this if you can handle awkwardness at its most extreme.

From her powerful speeches to her admirable charitable efforts Michelle Obama is pretty much First Lady goals and it seems no one is more aware of this fact than Donald Trump’s wife Melania.

The First Lady hopeful gave her first big speech at the Republican National Convention last night and while it was very well received by her audience, critics have since noticed that a number of lines in the address seem to have been lifted from a speech given by Mrs Obama back in 2008.

Speaking in Cleveland, Melania said “from a young age, my parents impressed on me, the values that you work hard for what you want in life. That your word is your bond; that you do what you say and keep your promise. That you treat people with respect” in a statement which sounds suspiciously similar to Michelle’s:  “From a young age, my parents impressed on me, the values that you work hard for what you want in life. That your word is your bond; that you do what you say and keep your promise. That you treat people with respect.”

And in the same part of the speech Michelle said “because we want our children — and all children in this nation — to know that the only limit to the height of your achievements is the reach of your dreams and your willingness to work hard for them,” Melania continued:  “Because want our children in this nation to know that the only limit to your achievements is the strength to your dreams and your willingness to work for them.”

According to The Guardian, this morning Trump’s team denied that the speech was plagiarised with the chairman of the Trump campaign telling CNN that “there’s no cribbing of Michelle Obama’s speech”.

But it seems not all of Camp Trump are on the same page as last night Trump’s speechwriter admitted Melania’s speech contained fragments of other speeches which “reflected her own thinking” before stating that the speech was produced by a team of writers.

This statement is in stark contrast to Melania’s claim that she wrote the speech herself.  Awks.

As with all things Trump, the incident has spurred on some powerful hashtags with #FamousMelaniaTrumpQuotes in particular throwing up some serious gems.  Check out our favorites below.

Just when we thought Meryl Streep had played every character worth playing, the Oscar-winner goes and surprises us by dressing up as none other than Donald Trump.

Dressed in a comically long red tie, fat suit and orange wig – with a face full of badly applied fake tan – the 66-year-old actress joined Christine Baranski on stage last night at the annual Shakespeare in the Park Public Theater Gala in Central Park.

The two actresses looked the part as Meryl sang lines like "You'll let me know, why all the women say no" to The Big Bang Theory's Christine who was dressed as Hillary Clinton.

The performance of Brush Up Your Shakespeare from musical Kiss Me, Kate was highly praised on Twitter as audience members tweeted excitedly about the rather unusual duet.

All we need now is for Meryl to run for president.

He's making waves over in America with his presidential election campaign, and now the man himself, Donald Trump, is coming to Ireland.

The millionaire revealed last night that he's going to make his way to the resort that he owns in Doonbeg, after he takes a trip to Scotland.

"After @TrumpScotland, I will visit @TrumpDoonbeg in Ireland, the magnificant resort fronting on the Atlantic Ocean," he wrote.

Most recently, Xpose star Glenda Gilson held her weekend wedding there back in 2014, with the five star resort boasting a luxury hotel, a golf course and a spa.

We doubt he's going to meet up with Taoiseach Enda Kenny though, after Enda called him "racist and dangerous" in the Dáil this week. Ooops.

Will you go out to see the man himself?

Controversial presidential candidate Donald Trump's campaign manager has been arrested in Florida with assault charges.

A recent report from the Jupiter Police Dept said Corey Lewandowski was charged for unintentionally grabbing a former reporters arm "against her will," reports CNBC.

"Mr. Lewandowski is absolutely innocent of this charge," Donald said in a statement.

"He will enter a plea of not guilty and looks forward to his day in court. He is completely confident that he will be exonerated." The incident allegedly took place at a Trump campaign event at the beginning of this month.

Despite being a leading advocate for the transgender community, Caitlyn Jenner has revealed that her transition has not affected her political views.

In fact, she is just as conservative now than ever.

In a controversial trailer for an upcoming episode of her show I Am Cait, the reality star revealed that she reckons Donald Trump is the best candidate for the presidency and would hate to see Hilary Clinton take the position.

"I don't think he's out there to destroy women or take things away or do any of that kind of stuff. I don't think my views have changed politically since transitioning," Cait says in the trailer.

"You know, we're talking about the economy. We're talking about our country surviving. We're talking about an economic system that can prosper. Just because I'm a woman now, doesn't make me all of a sudden liberal."

Yep, Caitlyn Jenner is in total support of the same man who insinuated that a female TV host was on her period because she asked him some difficult questions.

And the 66-year-old made it clear that she has zero time for Democratic candidate, Hilary Clinton.

"What has she done in her life? What has she done? What has she done in her life? What has she done? What has she done?" says Caitlyn in the clip, as the debate starts to get heated.

"She was a lousy senator. She was horrible. Look at all the things that are going on…look at all the things that are going on in the Middle East because of what she did."

Eek, we think Cait is great in many ways, but we really can't agree with her on this one.

Adele has been forced to issue a statement regarding the use of her music at rallies during the presidential election process in the States this week.

Most notably, Donald Trump has been using the 2011 smash hit Rolling in the Deep before coming out on stage during rallies in Iowa.

Many people were infuriated by the use of her music for a political campaign and not least it seems, the British songstress herself.

"Adele has not given permission for her music to be used for any political campaigning," a spokesperson for the singer has said in a statement.

The businessman-come-politician has also used Adele's James Bond theme song Skyfall during previous speeches he has made.

And he is not the only candidate to use the 27-year-old's music. Another republican potential, Mike Huckabee, also released a parody of Hello on YouTube last week.

Attorney's for Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler have also sent letters to the Donald Trump camp asking them to "cease and desist" from using the band's song Dream On for his campaign.

"[Mr. Trump] not have our client's permission to use Dream On," said the letters.

"[It] gives the false impression that he is connected with or endorses Mr Trump's presidential bid."

Yeah maybe Donald should stick to using his own bonkers theme song in future (that's if he is still even in the running, of course).
