It looks like Niall Horan is ready for his housewarming party.

The singer was spotted out shopping in a local supermarket, and left the store with trays of beer – Stella Artois to be exact.

Niall has spent the last six months renovating his €3 million LA home, so this week might finally be the week he properly moves in.

And he was being a smart lad while shopping and also bought a crate of water… because we all know having a few drinks in the heat is not all it's cracked up to be.

However, we're not sure his neighbours will be too happy about a party since they had a little falling out a few months ago.

According to The Sun, Niall wanted to remove a tree from outside his home since it was blocking natural light from getting in.

His neighbours tried to protest the removal because they said the tree was historical

Let's hope they've worked everything out now!

If there’s anything we love more than Thai food, it’s FREE Thai food.

And if you feel the same, you might want to hightail it to Clarendon Street by noon tomorrow if you want to get your hands on a free takeaway lunch from one of the city’s most popular Thai and Vietnamese restaurants.

That’s right, ladies, Saba is celebrating their 10th birthday by giving away – wait for it – 100 free takeaway lunches between noon and 1pm tomorrow afternoon.

We have revelled with open mouths as the dessert masters of our world transformed the humble doughnut into the doughnut ice cream cone, as they skillfully bred the doughnut-croissant hybrid now affectionately known as the cronut and as it was realised that milkshakes can be successfully sucked through doughnuts with wonderfully Instagrammable results.

But is removing the physical essence of the doughnut itself and transferring its flavour into a drink not doing the world’s most beloved baked good some form of major disservice?

According to Time, doughnut maker extraordinaire Krispy Kreme has decided that eating doughnuts is no longer enough and that for whatever reason it is now time we drink them too.

In a strange new project, the doughnut giant has apparently teamed up with an American soft drink company called Cheerwine to create a fizzy drink which will actually taste like glazed doughnuts.

Interestingly this isn’t the first time these two brands have worked together as back 2010 they joined forces to fill Krispy Kreme doughnuts with Cheerwine cherry-flavoured filling.

For now, those of us on this side of the pond will be safe from the doughnut drink madness as the new concoction will only be available in a limited number of US states.  Thank god for that!

In our parents’ day, if you wanted a little recipe inspiration, you’d dig out a cookbook and hope for the best.

These days, we can be exposed to a whole world of food at the touch of a button, and we have Instagram and foodie bloggers to thank for that one.

But if you’re two steps away from smothering yourself with kale leaves if you have to endure another post on the benefit of healthy eating, then we have the perfect antidote for you.

When it comes to eating out in our capital city, us Dublin-based foodies have a pretty sweet deal, but it's about to get even better.

According to Lovin Dublin, America's favourite burger joint is about to make its way over to the Emerald Isle, and we are PUMPED.

Five Guys – the restaurant which gives food coma a whole new meaning  – will be setting up shop in Dundrum Town Centre this autumn.

From providing us with their famous double burgers and cajun fries to keeping our drinks topped up for free, we haven't been this excited about the arrival of an American chain in years.

While those in the know – AKA people who have sampled the delights while Stateside – have no bother hopping up to Belfast for its famous 'fast casual' food, the fact it's fianlly coming to the Republic is definitely something to celebrate.

According to The Independent, the lease agreement has been officially signed off between Five Guys and Hammerson, the owners of Dundrum Town Centre.

All that's left to do now is start planning our first official feast in there.

While we're all for the standard munch that normally accompanies our trips to the cinema, sometimes it's nice to channel the sophisticated grown-ups we know we are deep-down.

And it looks like the good folk at Dublin's Light House Cinema are with us on this one and have pulled out all the stops for their screening of Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie this weekend.

On Sunday July 3rd, Patsy and Edina fans are invited to get their boozy brunch on in the much-loved Smithfield cinema while checking back in with everyone's favourite BFFs.

The idea of ditching our standard popcorn for smoked salmon, cream cheese, and hummus, while opting for a Bellini over a Diet Coke is appealing to us so much right now, so grab the ladies and 'sweetie darling' all over yourself this weekend.

With a two brunch bundles coming in at a very reasonable €20 to choose from, our Sunday is definitely set!

Remember the last time you took a slug of a cool drink and all your imperfections disappeared?

Yeah, us neither, but it looks like we’ve been drinking the wrong thing, ladies.

Generally, when we crack a can or two we end up talking too much and falling off our chair, but it seems some cans want more for us than our standard off-licence purchases.

Buddha Water, which comes in some very slick packaging and can be found in a variety of delish flavours, apparently has a major effect on our overall appearance.

From banishing cellulite and stimulating weight loss to improving skin condition and kickstarting the metabolism, this organic super-water sounds like the sort of thing we’d fantasise about after a particular heavy weekend.

Low in calories and free from sugar and colourings, Buddha Water seems to have it all, but only time (and our thighs) will tell…

We don't claim to know much about wine.

From choosing our vino based on the price to opting for one bottle over another simply because of its label, we're far from aficionados.

The one thing we DO know, however, is that white wine goes in the fridge and red wine goes on the counter, right? Well no, not exactly.

According to Jancis Robinson, the editor of The Oxford Companion to Wine, refusing to store your red wine in the fridge is a fool's game.

Speaking at the Hay Festival – a Welsh literary festival – Jancis urged us to ignore the myths and chill every damn bottle of vino we own.

"Put any open bottle in the fridge. Even red wine," she said. "Low temperatures slow down chemical reactions including oxidation, which is the enemy of an open bottle."

According to The Independent, it seems chilling wine, whether it's red or white, will help it to last longer and ensure a full-bodied flavour.

Excuse us, we have some rearranging to do at home.

We love nothing more than eating out or grabbing a bite on the go, so we like to know that everyone is on their best game when it comes to serving the public.

And with the weather heating up and more of us opting to eat out rather than slave over a hot stove, the Food Safety Authority of Ireland have issued a health and safety warning to businesses around the country.

The stark warning comes after 12 closure orders were issued to food businesses during the month of May.

Under the FSAI Act, 1998, Closure Orders were issued to:

  • Syrian Foods (food stall), 14 Creagh Woods, Gorey, Wexford
  • Chens Chinese Take Away, Parnell Street, Mountmellick, Laois
  • Centra Lower William Street (supermarket), 9 William Street, Limerick
  • Mr Simms Old Sweet Shoppe (sweet shop), 59 Dame Street, Dublin 2
  • Lal Quila (restaurant), Tramway Terrace, Douglas Village, Douglas, Cork
  • China Kitchen (restaurant), Market Place, Clonmel, Tipperary

Under the EC (Official Control of Foodstuffs) Regulations, 2010, further Closure Orders were issued to:

  • “Paddy Jack” food stall (Closed activity: cooking of raw meat), Meeting House Square, Temple Bar, Dublin 2
  • Kashmir Kebab House (take away), 15 Davis Street, Limerick
  • New Curry House (take away), 62 Newcastle Road Lower, Galway
  • The Nest (pre-school) (Closed activity: use of the main kitchen at the rear of the premises), Block C, Brabazon Hall, Ardee Street, Dublin 8
  • Caoch O'Leary (public house), Ballacolla, Laois
  • El Grito (restaurant), (Closed activity: preparation of raw kebabs), 3 Merchants Arch, Temple Bar, Dublin 2

Reminding businesses of the importance of exercising extra caution during particular weather conditions, Dr Pamela Byrne, Chief Executive, FSAI said: “It is particularly important during the summer months that all food businesses adhere to the strictest food safety measures.”

“All food businesses must have robust food safety management systems in place to ensure the highest protection for their customers,” she continued.

“We advise all food businesses, to ensure they are prepared for the increase in temperature and that all staff are trained to ensure that best food safety procedures are understood and applied."

Oh we'd heard of pineapple toppings alright, but a watermelon pizza? Nah, that hadn't yet figured on our radar…until now.

After poring over Sharon Hearne Smith's latest release, The No-Cook Cookbook, we are seriously thinking that the healthy life is the one for us.

In honour of the incredible weather we're all getting our sizzle on to, it seems right that we share one of the tastiest – and most refreshing – recipes in the book.

Ladies, we give you the watermelon pizza.

SERVES 2 (or 4 as a starter!)

2 x round watermelon slices, about 20cm in diameter, 2cm thick

2 ripe yellow, orange or red tomatoes, thinly sliced

2 fresh figs

100g feta cheese

50g pitted black olives, halved

25g roasted hazelnuts, roughly chopped

Small handful of fresh mint leaves

Small handful of fresh wild rocket

Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

RASPBERRY DRESSING:

2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

2 tbsp white balsamic vinegar

100g raspberries

Method

To make the dressing, whisk the oil and vinegar in a small bowl. Add the raspberries and whisk them in gently until roughly crushed. Season to taste.

Remove any seeds from the watermelon slices, if you prefer. Spread with half of the raspberry dressing, reserving the rest.

Arrange the tomatoes in a single layer across each watermelon slice, then cut each ‘pizza’ into six even-sized wedges, before placing the pieces back together in their circular shape on serving plates.

Cut each fig into six even-sized wedges and arrange one on each pizza. Crumble the feta cheese evenly over the top. Dot with the olives and drizzle with the reserved dressing. Scatter over the hazelnuts, mint and rocket, and serve at once.

For a twist…

Meat-eaters can top their pizza with ruffles of Parma or Serrano ham.
