Trying to get around the city hasn't been particularly easy these past few years thanks to the Luas Cross City works, but now the end is in sight.

And it looks pretty damn good.

With the news that the first tests will be carried out this June, it looks like we won't have long to wait, and now an official picture has been released of what the Luas lines will actually look like.

As well as the Green and Red Line, there's going to be the Cross City Line which has brought with it an abundance of new stops.

luas works

Dawson Street, Westmoreland Street, College Street, O’Connell Street, Parnell Street, Dominick Street and Marlborough Street will welcome new Luas stops, as well as Boombridge, Tallaght and Cabra.

With test runs being carried out during the summer months, there also has to be extensive driver training, so it's looking like the big launch will be December 2017.

Are we already planning our Christmas shopping route? Yes.

We're big fans of doughnuts in the SHEmazing! HQ, and now one very special selection of the confectionery treats have been adorned with a particular seasonal treat we can't get enough of.

Dublin sugar haven Sweet Republic are revolutionising the Easter treat options by creating the Creme Egg doughnut.

The doughnuts have attracted a lot of attention, after Sweet Republic uploaded a delicious picture of them to Instagram.

The new doughnut creations have a chocolate glaze,a long with some crumbly Flake toppings and, of course, a delicious Creme Egg to top it all off.

We're seriously getting hungry(and a sugar rush) just looking at them.

We hope no one gave up chocolate for Lent, because these treats are too good to miss.

The doughnuts are available from Sweet Republic on Bachelor's Walk, Dublin.

If you think you have what it takes to be the next Little Mix, Leona Lewis or Louisa Johnson, then listen up.

The X Factor is in town, and they are looking for the next symphonic star.

If you have a penchant for a tune or two, then you need to make your way to St Stephen's Green Shopping Centre from today until Sunday.

The show is welcoming both groups and solo singers, as long as they're over 16 years of age.

Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

There are three easy ways to sign up to audition, one of which is simply showing up to the audition on the day.

The second is registering online here for one of the Open Audition cities, such as Dublin and Belfast.

You can also send in your own video audition as part of the registry.

Auditions kick off at 9am each morning, so warm up those vocal cords and get queuing.

It's turning out to be a great year for music fans, and now one more performer is setting his sights on Ireland.

George Ezra has announced that he's taking his tour over to our lovely green isle.

George will play in Belfast on May 26 and in Derry on May 27.

He'll then make his way to Dublin's Olympia on May 29, and carry on to Limerick, where he will play in the Milk Market on May 30.

The singer recently spoke about his hiatus from being in the public eye on Twitter.

He said: "There is no need for me to point out the fact that I’ve been fairly quiet over the last year.

“But I’d like to reassure you all that I’ve been beavering away at what will one day be my second record.

"It took a second to work out what it was that I wanted to write about, and then how to approach the writing and recording process."

We're looking forward to seeing him live!

Is this a little sign that travelling around the city may be getting a little bit easier?!

It has been announced that a brand spankin' new DART station is going to be opened near the Kiliney area in South Dublin.

The new stop will be called Woodbrook Shanganagh, which is being built to coincide with the government's plan to build new houses in Dublin City.

However, don't get too excited just yet, because it'll be about four years until the new station will be complete.

Still though, this will be a great addition to people living and commuting in the area!

The giant mural is located in Smithfield, and it's well worth going to have a look at.

Stormzy himself has seen the piece, and has paid homage to it on his Facebook page.

Thanking the artists, the hip hop star said "I don't know who's responsible for this but thank you and tomorrow is gonna be MAD."(sic)

Tickets for his gig are already sold out, but the grime artist is also headlining on the Friday night at Longitude at Marlay Park on July 14.

Stormzy will be headlining alongside The Weeknd and Mumford & Sons.

They will be joined by the likes of Skepta, Baaba Maal, Glass Animals, Lucy Rose and Catfish and the Bottlemen.

So, the clocks are going forward on Sunday, and we're losing an hour of sleep but gaining a fine stretch to the evening.

The weather is officially warming up this weekend, and we want to take the opportunity to live a little.

Here's a few suggestions for things to do now that the clocks are going forward.

5, Hit up a food festival

Dublin's Eatyard has become a hub of delicious food, drinks and fun, with a complimentary medley of authentic cultural cuisine, flea market finds and a laid-back atmosphere.

The food festival is located by the Bernard Shaw on Richmond Street South, and now that the days are getting longer, there is a plethora or time to spend mooching and munching your way around the stalls.

And the light will be better for amazing foodie Instagram pictures, obviously.

4. Have a garden party

Get the girls around for a few Tom Collins cocktails and lay out some blankets, poofs and throws in the garden to create your own uber-cool laid-back mini-festival.

You could even string some fairy lights through the trees if you are feeling fancy.

3. Dining al fresco

Drag the kitchen table outside and dine al fresco, or even rev up the barbecue and grill a few burgers.

While the weather may not be perfect, we better make the most of it while we can!

2. Go for that epic day trip you've been meaning to take

Whether it's a trip to Lahinch to try your hand at surfing or finally heading up to the Giant's Causeway like you've always wanted, those extra hours of daylight make all the difference when you have a long drive to take across the country.

1. Explore your city

Seriously, you've lived in your town for how long and you haven't quite managed to see al the parks, beaches and activities it ahs to offer.

Getting that extra stretch in the evenings is the perfect excuse to take a picnic to the park or cycle around your city to truly appreciate your area.
