Ed Sheeran has been Thinking Out Loud a little TOO loudly it seems!

The singer is currently on the Australian leg of his tour, having just completed a series of shows in Brisbane with another in Sydney today, and the hard work has taken its toll on his vocal chords.

Ed tweeted this morning to let fans know he was under doctor's orders to mind himself… by keeping his mouth firmly shut.

"Been told by the vocal doc not to talk at all between shows and they're giving me a white board to communicate with, could prove interesting," the singer revealed on Twitter.

Fans were quick to commiserate with/laugh at Ed's misfortune, with one writing, "I would pay to see this" and another adding, "wish i could be there to witness that! x"

Despite his illness, Ed seems to be doing his best to enjoy his time Down Under, even treating his manager Stuart to a day out at a theme park – which poor Stu seemed less than delighted about:

 

We took stu out for the day to go to adventure land and he's really excited about it
