Looks like Jess Glynne is the latest singer to receive the Ed Sheeran treatment and we cannot wait to hear what these two have in store.

Not content with dominating the charts by himself, Ed has helped many artists climb their way to the top with his versatile song-writing skills, and now it's fellow flame-haired singer, Jess Glynne's turn to get in on the action.

The Shape of You singer is helping to re-launch Jess's career by co-writing two songs, titled Thursday and Woman Like Me.

According to The Sun, the tracks are set to be “major components” to Jess's new album.

A source told the paper:  “After the success Jess enjoyed with her first album, she has been able to pick and choose who she works with but was delighted that Ed came on board."

“His offerings are set to be major components of Jess’s album — his songwriting and her distinctive sound are a perfect fit.”

2017 has been a busy year for Ed. Having already penned songs for Rita Ora, Liam Payne and Zara Larsson, you'd wonder where the singer finds the time to work on his own career?

Not that he needs to.

Last weekend Ed sold over 300,000 tickets for his 2018 Irish tour and has since announced two extra dates.

Tickets for Páirc Uí Chaoimh, May 6 and Phoenix Park, May 19, go on sale this Saturday at 9:00am through usual outlets.

Ed Sheeran fans were left frustrated this morning as lengthy online queues requested them to 'sit tight' while their tickets were secured.

Some fans queued online for as long as three hours, with others queuing physically outside ticket vendors from as early as Wednesday evening.

However, patience was the most valuable virtue this morning as many persistent fans secured their tickets.

While there are still tickets available for the Sunday night concert in Galway and the Friday night concert in Cork on Ticketmaster, many fans were left ticketless for the particular date they wanted to attend.

Despite extra measures put in place by Ed Sheeran's team to stop touters reselling tickets, a number of Ed tickets have appeared on resale sites at inflated prices.

'Entertainment site' Viagogo is selling two tickets for Cork's Saturday gig for €348.00, while a single ticket for Dublin's Phoenix Park gig is going for €250.00.

Tickets have an original retail value of €81.00.

There are four Pearse Stadium, Galway Ed Sheeran tickets currently available to purchase on eBay for €999.99, or your best offer.

The singer's promotion company previously warned against ticket touting, and Ticketmaster also set new rules so buyers' names are printed on tickets and matched with and ID and the card they were purchased with on entry to the concert.

The entire country held it's breath as 9am approached, and hundreds of thousands of Ticketmaster tabs were opened in the hopes of getting tickets to Ed Sheeran's seven Irish gigs, scheduled for 2018.

If you didn't get tickets for his arena tour, you may have had high hopes this time around, thinking to yourself that things would be different this time.

You maybe have bemusingly laughed at the hardcore Cork zealots queuing up since Wednesday for tickets.

"Sure have they no internet or something?" you thought.

And now you are ticket-less, having joined the throng of thousands of online buyers looking to get tickets for the date you wanted who failed to get through to Ticketmaster before the gig sold out.

Tragedy has struck and you are still reeling from the emotional roller coaster.

1. Hope

The stomach churning moments up to 9am have passed, and you are finally being held in the ticket queue.

You haven't been this nervous since getting your Leaving Cert results, and though you say "I know I haven't a hope of getting them," you are secretly clinging to an intense, hopeful yearning.

It's just a matter of time until you find out if Ticketmaster has deemed you worthy…

2. False hope

OH MY GOD you're through.

Okay, time to choose your preferred seating and number of tickets.

Fingers, toes, and everything else remains crossed.

3. Denial

"Sorry, there are no tickets of this type available."

Cue manic laughter as you frantically refresh the page, change your preference to tiered seating and think "someone might have let their tickets go when they saw the bloody price, it's possible right? Right? RIGHT?"

4. Despair

"Why have you forsaken me cruel world?"

"What have I done to deserve this cosmic ridicule?

You may even still be in the virtual queue two hours later, bursting for the loo, a rasher sandwich and a cigarette simultaniously but you can't leave the laptop screen in case you get through.

5. Anger

At this point you've Snapchatted your friends, who are possibly still stuck in the despair tier of emotion, a picture of the sold out gig on Ticketmaster and you are RAGING.

"Why didn't I queue up in the lashing rain at 2am like I told myself I should have?"

6. Anger at Ed

Like, hello Ed Sheeran, have we not been through this before?

You know you are beloved in Ireland and you teased us mercilessly since your return with your Irish-themed album.

Sometimes it seems like Ed could have one of those Vegas-style residencies in Croke Park and play every night for a year and you'd still never get tickets.

7. Acceptance

Even though we all know you're lying you yourself and everyone else, saying that you don't care that you didn't get tickets to the gig of the year can help soften the sting.

And you'll see it all on Snapchat, right?

Look, there are still tickets available, so maybe make a road trip out of it if you diodn't mange to get tickets in your area?

Ed Sheeran clearly heard our complaints about the impossibility of getting tickets on his last tour, and this time around decided to play seven gigs on the Emerald Isle.

While he way have way more concerts en route, people are clearly still worried that they won't secure tickets.

In Cork, people have began queuing on Thursday evening in the hopes of securing tickets when they go on sale on Saturday morning.

The committed Sheerios have been camping out on deck chairs for the coveted tickets.

By the time the tickets go on sale, they will have been waiting well over 48 hours for them.

One man told The Independent that he has been queuing since Wednesday to secure tickets for his beloved niece.

With tickets for all seven gigs going on sale at the same time, we're thinking the avid queue folk are trying to avoid the possibility of crashing websites and endless virtual waits.

We have to commend their commitment to Ed.

When it comes to gifts, you generally can't go wrong with concert tickets. right?

Well, that tends to be the case…unless the tickets you're splashing out on are for any of Ed Sheeran's upcoming dates in Ireland, that is.

You see, due to Ed's strict stance on ticket touting, the singer and his team have implemented a rule which states that the person who purchased the tickets must be in attendance on the specified date too.

In order to gain entrance to the concert, the ticketholder will need to provide booking confirmation of the tickets, the credit card on which they were purchased in addition to a valid form of ID.

In order to avoid any confusion or disappointment on this front, Ticketmaster have provided the public with eight rules.

1. The name on the card used to purchase tickets will be the name printed on the tickets.

2. The person whose card is used to book the tickets (lead booker) must be in attendance on the night of the show.

3. The lead booker must bring ID and card used to book in order for them and the rest of their party to gain entry.

4. All members of one party must enter as a group. Failure to do so will result in some party members not being admitted.

5. Tickets cannot be purchased as a gift.

6. Tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster outlets nationwide and online at Ticketmaster.ie.  Tickets can be purchased with cash at an outlet or credit/debit card. If purchasing at an outlet you will be required to present ID. Please ensure the name on your ticket corresponds with your ID. You must retain your receipt in order to gain entry.

7. Tickets limited to 4 per purchase.

8. Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult 18+. This applies for both standing and seating. Parents/guardians intending to bring young children are advised to purchase seating tickets.

And in case you're still interested, tickets go on sale July 8 at 9am.

So, we're a tad confused about how this movie will turn out!

Ed Sheeran has spoken out about his desire to shoot a biopic based on his life and growing up in his hometown of Ipswich.

Speaking to Q recently, the singer said: "I want to have an 8 Mile moment but 8 Mile meets Notting Hill.

"Not gritty like Detroit but, like, Ipswich. I've got loads of songs about Ipswich that haven't come out so I could make a soundtrack."

But this isn't a new idea as he spoke to The Sun back in March about finding a filmmaker he really loved.

Ed basically told the publication the same thing, but instead used Once as a reference instead of 8 Mile.

"I look at a film like Notting Hill and I think that's like a brilliant benchmark, or Once. So if you were to mix Notting Hill with Once, I would say that would be a good start," he told The Sun.

"I am in talks with one filmmaker that I really love and we are going to slowly but surely put something together.

"I would want to cast all unknowns. I want to have a low-budget, indie, British-made film."

It looks like Ed is pretty serious about this!

Ed Sheeran has admitted that he quit Twitter after having to face endless abuse from online trolls.

While speaking to The Sun, the singer explained how he receives waves of hatred on the social media site, and how just one tweet can upset his entire day.

"There's nothing but people saying mean things," he said.

"One comment ruins your day. But that's why I've come off it.

"The head-f**k for me has been trying to work out why people dislike me so much."

Ed took to Instagram to make the announcement, along with a very questionable photo.

"Announcing UK and Europe stadium tour tomorrow. This was the only picture I could find at short notice x"
