If you want to be one of the first people to get your hands on a hard copy of Ed Sheeran's newest album (which you can hold to your chest and squeeze with all your might), the good folk over at Tower Records have you sorted.

Catering to Ed's Irish fanbase next month, the iconic store on Dublin's Dawson Street have revealed that they will be flinging their doors open at the stroke of midnight on March 2 in order to celebrate the release of ÷.

Oh, and it doesn't stop there.

In addition to giving fans the chance to pick up a copy of the album the moment it hits shelves, the store will automatically enter everyone who shows up for the midnight opening into a draw to secure two tickets to the singer's gig in the 3Arena.

Can it get any better?!

Just remember if you do decide to head along, you won't be allowed to queue outside the store until after 7pm pn March 2!

As it's his 26th birthday today, Ed Sheeran decided to release one more track from him new album, Divided.

Fans have been eagerly anticipating the next drop from the album, and with Ed's birthday gift to us, the wait is finally over.

The song, How Would You Feel (Paean), is officially available on Spotify, and the tender tune is pulling at our heart strings.

Between Shape of You, Castle on the Hill and now his latest track, Divided is a major contender for our favourite album ever.

Ed Sheeran has had a pretty busy few months since his return from a 365 day social media sabbatical.

Since then, the two other released singles from his new album have reached number one in the charts, and the singer sold out a world tour in mere minutes.

Now, if only Ed would add some more Irish dates to his tour so we could hear How Would You Feel in real life, that would be great.

Obviously us Irish folk are obsessed with Ed Sheeran, so our excitement went into overdrive when we heard that the Shape Of You singer was spotted filming Carpool Karaoke with James Cordon.

The chart-topping singer and the British comedian were spotted zipping around LA in a car rigged with cameras.

The two seemed to be enjoying some tunes by the singer, and appeared to be giving the songs a good go.

The star even brought his guitar with him, so essentially James Cordon just got a private Ed Sheeran concert in his car.

The exciting sighting comes at the end of a very busy two months for Ed, who made a triumphant return from his year off work.

In the space of two months, he released an amazing album, had two number one singles and sold out an extensive world tour.

There is no word yet on when Ed's Carpool Karaoke will be released but we really hope it's soon.

Ed Sheeran has famously returned from his year long musical and social media sabbatical.

The internet went into over drive when, exactly one year after leaving the public eye, Ed's social media accounts all re-activated, sharing snaps of blue boxes.

The singer songwriter has since revealed a new album, dropped two songs from said album, both of which have gone to number one on the charts, and sold out a world tour. Not too shabby at all Ed.

The singer revealed exactly why he submerged himself from musical and social media attention.

"I just felt like everything I did, I got a very lukewarm reaction by the end of it," he said in an interview with The Project.

"I was like here’s a new song. And people were like, 'ah, great'," he said sarcastically.

"But you disappear for a year and then people are kind of hungry for it again."

"But I’m sure I’ll get to the end of this campaign and people will be like 'yeah, cool,'" he said , making a shooing gesture.

Ah Ed, we're never sick of you here in Ireland.

Maybe come live here, or at least add another few Irish dates to your tour? Please?

Last Friday morning is not one we'll forget in a hurry here at SHEmazing! HQ.

With sweat forming on our brows and our trembling fingers poised over our keyboards, more than a few of us primed ourselves before attempting to get our hands on tickets to Ed Sheeran's Dublin gig.

And hell, was it a pressurised environment.

So, we have nothing but sympathy for one Ed Sheeran fan who admitted she accidentally spent £1,300 on three tickets to see the man himself after the pressure got too much for her on secondary ticketing website – Viagogo.

21-year-old Charlotte Duckworth has hit out at the site after she was shown a total of £377, and led to believe that that was the cost of all three tickets.

Speaking to BBC Newsbeat, she said: "I can't afford that and I'm trying everything I can to get my money back. That's nearly three months rent. I've sent several emails to Viagogo but they keep saying there's nothing they can do."

Taking to Twitter, Charlotte highlighted the severity of the situation by explaining she'd likely have to move home and sell her car in order to facilitate the unexpected expenditure.

Unfortunately for Charlotte. not everybody is sympathetic, with one follower writing: "Who adds items to their cart and goes through the checkout process without looking at the price?"

"Nobody forced you on to that website. It is because people buy from these pr*cks that they are in existence," added another.

Viagogo's website states: "It's not possible to cancel or exchange tickets once a purchase has been made as orders are considered final."

Now that the dust has settled somewhat on the absolute Hunger Games of a morning that saw the entire country attempting to nab some Ed Sheeran tickets, the reactions to the sold-out gig are pouring in.

Most people are pretty outraged by the fact that the tickets we're sold out at one minute past 10, and the scourge that is Seatwave is taunting fans further by selling pairs of tickets for as much as €1408.86. We're serious.

We've compiled a lost of the best reactions that pretty much sum up this whole Ed Sheeran ticket scrum in 180 characters or less.

1. This guy who's mixing metaphors like a pro.

2.  This poor soul who jumped the gun and got car park tickets instead of actual tickets.

3. Seriously, where are the people who managed to get tickets?

4. Preach.

5. The struggle was real.

6. Looks like we all got the same security question.

7. The real fans are up in arms.

8. We'd definitely fork out for that!

9. Hear hear!

10. Ah here, this is beyond ridiculous..

Tickets for Ed Sheeran's two Dublin gigs as part of his worldwide Divided tour sold out in mere minutes.

Thousands of despairing fans have taken to Twitter in the hours since the gig sold out to express their disappointment.

However all might not be lost, as Ed is being hotly tipped by the bookies to keep his Irish tour rolling.

BoyleSports are offering odds of 1/3 that the superstar will add one more appearance to his Dublin line up, according to the Irish Mirror.

The odds of him adding two extra dates is priced at 4/7.

The potential additions to the tour make sense, as the singer is taking a three day break between his Dublin and Glasgow gigs, so perhaps Ed will add another date to satiate his Irish fans.

The singer-songwriter is also tipped to play Electric Picnic at  9/4 odds.

Fans camped out overnight to be in with a chance of purchasing the highly coveted tickets.

While we're keeping our fingers crossed that Ed does decide to add another date, Ticketmaster tweeted back one dismayed fan that there will be "just the two dates" for the line up.

Here's to hoping they change their minds!

The entire country held it's breath as 10am approached, and hundreds of thousands of Ticketmaster tabs were opened in the hopes of getting tickets to the most hotly anticipated gig of the year.

You LOL-ed at the hardcore zealots queuing up in the rain over night for tickets, "sure have they no internet or something?" you thought.

And now you are ticket-less, having joined the throng of thousands of online buyers who failed to get through to Ticketmaster before the gig sold out.

Tragedy has struck and you are still raging from the emotional roller coaster.

1. Hope

The stomach churning moments up to 10am have passed, and you are finally being held in the ticket queue.

You haven't been this nervous since getting your Leaving Cert results, and though you say "I know I haven't a hope of getting them," you are secretly clinging to an intense, hopeful yearning.

It's like the lotto right? It could be you.

2. False hope

OH MY GOD you're through.

Okay, time to choose your preferred seating and number of tickets.

Fingers, toes, and everything else remains crossed.

3. Denial

"Sorry, there are no tickets of this type available."

Cue manic laughter as you frantically refresh the page, change your preference to tiered seating and think "someone might have let their tickets go when they saw the bloody price, it's possible right? Right?"

4. Despair

"Why have you forsaken me cruel world?"

"What have I done to deserve this cosmic ridicule? Am I not a good and kind person, a contributing member of society who deserves to see Ed live?"

5. Anger

At this point you've Snapchatted your friends, who are possibly still stuck in the despair tier of emotion, a picture of the sold out gig on Ticketmaster and you are RAGING.

"Why didn't I queue up in the lashing rain at 2am like I told myself I should have?"

6. Anger at Ed

Like, hello Ed Sheeran?

You know you are beloved in Ireland and you teased us mercilessly since your return with your Irish-themed album.

There's even a song called Galway Girl for crying out loud, you should have know that you would have sold out a full week of gigs never mind two poxy nights in the 3 Arena.

7. Acceptance

Even though we all know you're lying you yourself and everyone else, saying that you don't care that you didn't get tickets to the gig of the year can help soften the sting.

And you'll see it all on Snapchat, right?

It was an early start for many Ed Sheeran fans this morning, who peeled themselves out of bed at all hours to be in with a chance of grabbing some coveted tickets to the star's hotly anticipated gig.

For some, the journey actually began yesterday afternoon, as some fans started queuing almost 24 hours in advance.

Queues in Dublin at St Stephen's Green shopping centre stretched down the block, as hopeful ticket buyers huddled under blankets and umbrellas against the cold and rain.

Massive queues have been forming all over the country, after the red-haired singer  announced two dates in the 3 Arena this April.

Take this as your public service announcement, the tickets for the destined to sell out gig go on sale at 10am, so if you aren't queuing outside, get those tabs open.

Having multiple devices on the go at once is also a good way to increase your chances of getting through to the site.

Also, make sure you already have a Ticketmaster account and are signed into it, so as soon as you can "view tickets" you can be brought straight through to selection and payment options.

May the odds be ever in your favour.

There were few among us who didn't pull up a seat to The Taylor Swift Show in 2016.

From her romance with Tom Hiddleston to her feud with Kim and Kanye, the Shake It Off singer was forced to justify her every move, and rarely a day passed when her name didn't hit the headlines.

With the benefit of hindsight, her mate, Ed Sheeran, has decided to offer an insight into the singer's approach to her career and controversy.

Speaking to GQ magazine recently, the Castle on the Hill singer compared himself to the Grammy Award-winner.

"There’s an underdog element to it. Taylor Swift was never the popular kid in school. I was never the popular kid in school," he explained.

“Then you get to the point when you become the most popular kid in school – and we both take it a bit too far.”

Elaborating on their joint approach to their careers, Ed continued: "She wants to be the biggest female artist in the world and I want to be the biggest male artist in the world."

Appearing to defend Taylor against criticism levelled at her over the course of the last 12 months, Ed added: "It also comes from always being told that you can’t do something and being like, ‘Eff you, I can."

Sounds like Tay's squad needs a male member…

The singer recently made history by having two songs atop the Irish singles chart in consecutive places.

Any other halves who secure these tickets for Valentine's Day gifts are marriage material.

The Irish dancing community has been reaching out to Ed Sheeran via viral video since his revelation that he will be seeking Irish dancers for his next music video.

“I’m definitely shooting a video for the song in Ireland,” he told Eoghan McDermott on his 2FM show.

In a bid to get the attention of the red-haired singer, dancers and dance troupes alike have been uploading their best steps under the hashtag #STEP4SHEERAN in a bid to gain his attention.

Chris Naish, the brainchild behind modern Irish dance concept Fusion Fighters, decided to put together a montage of some of the finest Irish talent out there in a video in the hopes that Ed's people would take notice.

The dancer and dance teacher was soon overwhelmed with entries, and has continued to post some of the best after compiling his montage video.

A troupe of eight Galway girls from the Hession School of Irish Dance have since gone viral under the #STEP4SHEERAN hashtag, in a video that has been seen on Facebook over 284,000 times.

The troupe danced up a storm at Galway's Claddagh to a medley of Ed's Shape of You and a traditional Irish tune.

Other dancers have posted videos themselves in the hopes of capturing the singers attention.

Ed recently revealed some very Irish-oriented songs on his new album, hence his hunt for Irish ceili dancers.

“I’ve got a trad band called Beoga. They’re actually from Belfast, but they’ve – it’s a fiddle, a pipe, a bodhrán and piano. And we really jam,” he explained to Eoghan McDermott.

“It’s going to be good. I do think I’ll never be able to play another song in Ireland again because this will be the song.," he said of his upcoming hit entitled Galway Girl.

“There’s a song on the bonus album that’s about Co. Wexford so there’s two Irish jams on there both with full trad."
