Taylor Swift was joined by her Bad Blood music video co-star Ellie Goulding at the singer's 1989 concert in Texas this weekend.

Taylor invited Ellie on stage to sing the British pop singer's hit song Love Me Like You Do for nearly 60,000 fans at the AT&T Stadium. 

During the concert, Ms Swift described her as "one of my really, really, really dear friends."

Over the course of Taylor's 1989 world tour, she has welcomed numerous celebrity special guests to sing alongside her including Selena Gomez, Mick Jagger and Wiz Khalifa. 

The 25-year-old singer has a handful of North American dates left before she heads to China and Australia.

Singer Ellie Goulding has revealed she's been taking a huge risk over the last year by not getting a serious heart issue dealt with.

The 28-year-old relies on an intense fitness regime and a strict vegan diet to stay in shape, but has been warned to cut down on gym sessions of late.

"I found out I have this heart thing and I need to get it checked out," she admitted to Mail Online.

Having ignored the issue for a year, it took a serious sit-down with doctors for Ellie to take notice.

"I’m fine, it’s actually something someone discovered last year but I never got it checked out.

"Which is terrible, I have been playing with my life."

Despite having a hardcore attitude to fitness, the singer says it was something of a relief to have a reason not to train for a while.

"It’s nice to know you actually can’t go to the gym, you’re not allowed," she said. 

"So I have been very relaxed, I have been chilling and not being as militant about what I eat."

Ellie opened up about her heart condition while defending herself against accusations she had lip-synched during her performance at the AFL final in Melbourne last week.

"Truth be told I've been unwell the past week and I could do with a long spell chill but I was determined to give everything for Oz today," she wrote on Twitter.

"Considering I had no voice yesterday and a sleepless night because of the meds I would say it's been a good day."

Ellie has long lived by the 'strong not skinny' mantra, and says she loves being a role model to other young women out there.

"I feel quite proud to be an ambassador for women who realise that being fit is better than being skinny."

Ellie Goulding is currently in Australia where she was scheduled to perform during the AFL Grand Final.

She managed to run into a bit of trouble however when she was accused of lip-syncing on stage.

 

The 28-year old singer has been suffering from an “illness” and also faced some technical issues during her performance. She didn’t come in on time with the music and the song had to be restarted.

She was performing her song Love Me Like You Do and according to Mail Online the technical error resulted in many social media users getting very annoyed with the star.

 

Ellie shot back at her accusers on Twitter and wrote:

“Love it when people think I lip sync, what a rad compliment. Now where does one find a good veggie restaurant in Melbs?”

After her performance the producer of the Toyota AFL Grand Final Entertainment Michael Gudinski released a statement in support of Ellie.

“Ellie performed live vocals to a backing track. This is a very common practice for performances in situations such as the Grand Final.

Unfortunately a technical issue at the start of Ellie’s performance caused a brief hiccup but Ellie went on to prove just how much of a superstar she is, belting out two of her massive hits.”

 

Ellie continued to defend her performance on social media and she told her fans in Oz she was “determined to give everything.”

After much speculation it was announced this week that Grammy winner Sam Smith will be the artist to take over the latest Bond theme song.

Writing’s On The Wall is to be released later this month. However, there is still plenty of speculation surrounding who will be cast as the next leading man himself.

David Beckham has apparently become a favourite of the public. Since his latest foray into the acting world in pal Guy Ritchie’s latest film, fans have been eager to see him take on the famous 007 role.

There was also much controversy when actor Idris Elba was deemed ‘too street’ by Bond author Anthony Horowitz.

“For me, Idris Elba is a bit too rough to play the part. It’s not a color issue. I think he is probably a bit too ‘street’ for Bond. Is it a question of being suave? Yeah.”

He later apologised for his remarks and said he was “mortified to have caused offence.” On his own Instagram page Idris posted a screenshot of the article the remark appeared in with the caption: “Always keep smiling!! It takes no energy and never hurts! Learned that from the Street!!”

Now it seems that one pop star fancies herself as the one to step into the secret agent’s shoes.

Posting a selfie on her Instagram page as she flexed in the mirror, Ellie joked she was very excited to reveal that she was the next Bond.

The singer is already the face of a Nike campaign, and she has the abs to prove it. Dressed in a sports bra and tiny black shorts (Nike, naturally), the star looks incredibly fit as she shows off her hard earned physique.

Not that we’re all that surprised seeing as she’s been keeping busy all summer long as she performs on the summer festival circuit. However, a performance scheduled for October seems to have caused some issues.

Ellie is supposed to perform at the AFL Grand Final in Melbourne, but organisers for the event have landed themselves in hot water after they booked mostly British acts instead of more local performers.

Last night the crowds in Cork were treated to an amazing performance from Ellie Goulding at the Marquee.

And shortly afterwards, a local Garda couldn’t believe he was the lucky one who got to get Ellie into a pair of handcuffs.

After a most eventful night in Cork, the Starry Eyed singer took to Instagram to document her run-in with one of Ireland’s finest.

Always endeavouring to keep things of the highest professional standard, the official Garda Twitter account checked in to make sure Ellie was treated well.

Clearly the singer was doing just fine as she later shared a photograph from her room at the five star Haymarket Hotel (ooo, fancy).

Obviously delighted with her show, and not at all phased by her brush with the law, Ellie shared a photograph of her team before the gig and couldn’t stop talking about what a great time she was having.

Ellie has played here on numerous occasions and this time she even chose to debut her new pink hair while visiting.

We’re wondering though, what would Ellie do to get herself arrested? Or even better, how would she have gotten herself out of trouble?

Offering up a free snack box can apparently do wonders when in tricky situations. Or she probably just crooned a sweet little tune and strutted off into the night.

Maybe someday we’ll be enlightened by the lucky Garda himself, it’s sure to be a good one.

When Ellie Goulding posted and then promptly deleted an Instagram picture of herself and a group of gal pals over the weekend, the internet promptly jumped to conclusions.

The Lights singer was hanging out at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood when she shared a group shot including fellow stars Lorde and Katy Perry among others – but she soon had second thoughts.

When the photo disappeared from Ellie's page just hours later, many assumed it was to avoid any bad feelings with the singer's bestie, Taylor Swift, given her long-running public drama with Katy.

What started as a business issue when Katy poached Taylor's dancers for her own tour last year has since turned personal, and neither star looks set to back down anytime soon. 

In fact, Taylor's newest single Bad Blood is said to be a direct dig at Katy, with the video even featuring a "villainous" Selena Gomez in a very Katy-esque black wig.

So did Ellie delete the picture to keep Taylor sweet? Definitely not, she says.

"I deleted that because I looked bad in it," she told ODE Entertainment at the Glamour Awards. "I think I was a bit drunk and I thought it wasn't a very good example of myself."

Ellie admitted she deletes pictures of herself "all the time" when she reckons she's not looking her best. She's just like us, so…

While there has been a lot of back-and-forth bitchiness between Katy and Taylor, one of the girls in particular refuses to go into detail about the feud.

"I'm never going to talk about her [Katy] in my interview. It's not going to happen," Taylor told The Telegraph recently.

"It's not real if someone appears to never have any issues with anyone. I have my friends. I have enemies. I have bad days…I'm not nice all the time but I try not to be carelessly rude to people who don't deserve it."

Any Ed Sheeran fans out there will no doubt know the saga of the Ed/Ellie Goulding/Niall Horan love triangle inside out… but now Ellie herself is claiming it's not all true.

Although none of the three stars have ever officially confirmed what happened until now, it's widely thought that Ellie cheated on Ed with One Direction's Niall back in 2013. 

Ed may have moved on with his (now ex) girlfriend Athina Andrelos, but his feelings about the Ellie situation were laid out for all to see in the lyrics of Don't, one of the biggest singles from his current album, X.

Including lyrics like, "And I never saw him as a threat, until you disappeared with him to have sex of course… It's not like we were both on tour, we were staying on the same f***ing hotel floor," the song makes no secret of the singer's anger and frustration.

Now though, Ellie Goulding has spoken out about the drama for the first time, and she alleges that she never even dated Ed, let alone cheated on him.

"I was never in a relationship with Ed. I have absolutely no idea where that came from and why it was turned into such a big thing," the Lights singer revealed in the current issue of UK Elle.

If that is the truth, we're wondering what exactly was going on in this picture, taken at the 2013 MTV VMAs…

As for Niall, that seems to be a different story altogether, as Ellie did admit to having gone on "a few dates" with the Mullingar man.

Whatever the truth may be, the 28-year-old says she is keen to put the past behind her and not have her love life picked apart by the media. "I find it so frustrating that female musicians are constantly defined by the men they have or haven't dated," she told the magazine. 

Ellie has even discussed the issue with her celebrity BFF Taylor Swift, another singer whose dating life seems to be a matter of public importance. "It's something I've talked about with Taylor [Swift] a lot. She definitely feels that. She gets bothered by it," Ellie explained.

"It's like, you can be a great artist, you can write great songs, but the thing that everyone is going to talk about is some relationship they think you have had or not had. It's definitely something we both think happens to female artists over male artists."

We definitely appreciate Ellie's point of view, but for some reason we find it very hard to believe that nothing went on between her and Ed. We're taking this awkward post-relationship hug at the 2014 Victoria's Secret show as proof:

It's been over two months since Ed Sheeran split from his girlfriend Athina Andrelos, and it seems this time he wants a girlfriend who's a bit more down-to-earth.

The Thinking Out Loud singer hasn't had the best luck with the ladies over the last couple of years, but his friends are trying to get him back out there with someone new, and even though the singer is said to be "very picky," they already have a few possible matches lined up.

"His friends want to set him up with a new girl and have their eye on a few people they've mentioned to him but he's very picky for obvious reasons," a source told The Mirror.

So what's he looking for in a new girlfriend? Someone just like the rest of us, it would seem. "Ed doesn't want a famous girlfriend, he just wants someone down to earth and normal to share his life with," the insider revealed.

Unfortunately, any of Ed's megafans can rule themselves out, as the singer's pals refuse to let him get involved with anyone who only wants him for his fame. "His friends are looking out for him," the source said.

We can understand why the Don't hitmaker wants to be cautious when trying to meet someone new, as his last few matches haven't exactly worked out too well.

Not only did Ellie Goulding reportedly ditch him in favour of a one-night-stand with Niall from One Direction, but Athina called it quits in March after a notoriously drunk night out at the BRITs caused tension between the pair.

Ed was pictured looking more than a little worse for wear a few hours after the awards ceremony ended, and the photos unfortunately were splashed all over the media by the time the poor lad woke up with a hungover head the next day. 

Sources say Athina was NOT happy, and broke the year-long relationship off a few weeks later.

"Ed's mates weren't too keen on Athina and weren't disappointed when they split after the Brit Awards. It's very unlikely they'll be getting back together," the insider said.

Any normal, down-to-earth ladies out there (who preferably have never heard of Ed Sheeran before)… consider this your official call-out!

It's been almost two years since Ed Sheeran and Ellie Goulding's rumoured relationship came to a messy end, but Ed has just revealed some more information.

According to numerous reports last year, Ellie slept with One Direction's Niall Horan while she was still seeing Ed on and off, causing the blossoming romance between the two singers to come to an abrupt stop.

Ed may have moved on with his (now ex) girlfriend Athina Andrelos, but his frustration and anger about the Ellie situation was laid out for all to see in the lyrics of Don't, one of the biggest singles from his latest album.

Ed reportedly confirmed last year that the song was indeed about Ellie, but in a new interview he says he never intended to do so.

"I never let it slip," he told Entertainment Weekly in a feature published yesterday. "What happened was one of the newspapers in England just printed that it was confirmed when it never was. We got in touch, and they took the story down. But obviously the damage had already been done by that point because every other newspaper picked up on it."

It's the raw emotion behind Don't that has made the song such a hit, and Ed says he wouldn't have written it any other way. "I had to be as honest as possible in that song because otherwise what’s the f***ing point? There’d be no anger or pain in that song if it was just very sweet and nice," he explained.

"The whole reason people connected to it was because everyone’s been that angry at one point, everyone’s hated their partner or spouse like, 'Don’t f*** with this.' For me, it needed to be done."

It's not been the best Tuesday for Ed Sheeran so far.

First he revealed that he's under doctor's orders to communicate only via a marker and whiteboard between shows until some vocal chord issues clear up.

And now the news has broken that the Thinking Out Loud singer has split from his girlfriend of over a year, Athina Andrelos.

​It's thought the couple have been split up since Ed's notoriously drunken night at the BRITs last month, which didn't go down too well with Athina.

"The final straw was at the after-party. It was a combination of Ed drinking too much and him being unable to deal with a girl that kept bothering them that night," a source told Heat magazine. 

"The next day, when Athina drove Ed to the airport, they spoke about everything and they decided to take a break because it was unfair on both of them."

Talk about a grim hangover – no doubt made a billion times worse by the fact that Ed had to fly off for the first leg of his six month tour that very same day.

Athina was Ed's first romantic interest after Ellie Goulding famously cheated on him with One Direction singer Niall Horan, a bust-up well documented in Ed's song Don't. 

We hope he's doing okay since the split!

Ellie Goulding took to the stage at last night’s BRIT Awards dressed in a stunning white gown and we thought she looked incredible – but Lewis Hamilton didn’t think so!

The Formula One driver joined Ellie on stage to present the Best Female Solo Award when things got very, very awkward…

Things began to go awry when Lewis commented on Ellie’s dress and said: “You goin’ to a wedding or something?” to which Ellie retorted: “Eh, excuse me…yes, ours!”

To make things even worse, Lewis then simply said…’no’.

So, we reckon Ellie and Lewis won’t be walking up the aisle anytime soon then…
