Congratulations are in order for Paris Hilton and her new husband-to-be, Chris Zylka.

The reality star and socialite announced her engagement on Twitter earlier today saying how she was so excited to marry her “best friend and soulmate.”

Chris, a 32-year-old actor and model, proposed to Paris, 36, while on a skiing trip in Aspen last weekend.

“I feel like the luckiest girl in the world! You are my dream come true!,” she wrote.

The couple have known each other for eight years and made their relationship official in 2016.

Speaking to People, Paris explained how Chris popped the question on the slopes and that she “immediately said yes.”

She went on to describe her engagement ring as “gorgeous” and “sparkling.”

“Ever since our first date I knew there was something special about him,” she added.

Chris also spoke to the magazine saying: “Paris is the most beautiful and incredible woman both inside and out. I feel like the luckiest man in the world to be marrying my dream girl.”

“I can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together.”

We can't wait to see the dress!

When those big milestones in life come along, naturally we want to share them with our loved ones – family, friends, and, of course, Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

A woman named Charlyn Willis recently got engaged (congrats!), and was excited to tell her sister about the big news.

In fact, she was so ecstatic that Charlyn typed in the wrong number – and texted Sarah Michelle Gellar instead!

How much do you want to bet her text tone is a bit of the Buffy theme song?

The star loved the accidental message, and shared the happy mistake on her Facebook page.

"This is #CharlynWillis. She got engaged yesterday, and meant to text her sister, but in all the excitement, got me instead. Her sister didn’t respond, but I did. So please help me say congrats, to Charlyn. (And her fiancé whose name I don’t know) #congratulations," the Scooby Doo star wrote.

We love that rock!

Charlyn is one lucky woman. She saw the post and thanked Sarah for her well wishes, clarifying that her fiance's name is Dennis.

"You’ve truly made my engagement experience even more of a life changer!" she wrote, "Please know when we set a date, I’ll be reaching out to invite you, Freddie, and the kids!"

This sounds like the start to a beautiful friendship!

Congrats to Charlyn and Dennis! We hope that Sarah and her clan can show up to the wedding.

The couple, who first began dating in 2016, have tonight announced their engagement, and it has sent Instagram into an absolute tailspin.

Uploading a shot of the engagement ring, 21-year-old Sophie, who plays Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones, simply wrote: "I said yes" while Joe uploaded the same shot, writing: "She said yes."

Paying tribute to the couple on Twitter, Joe's younger brother, Nick, wrote: "Ahh! Congratulations to my brother… and sister in law to be on your engagement. I love you both so much."

However, not everyone is as pleased for the couple as they might like, with some die-hard Joe Jonas fans lamenting the announcement, with one writing: "Worst day ever."

"I can't believe it. My heart is broken but also I'm very happy for you Joe. You are very important for me," added another.

Sorry ladies, but it looks like Kit Harrington is officially off the market.

The 30-year-old reportedly proposed to his Game of Thrones co-star, Rose Leslie, shortly after the pair bought their first house together.

Having began their romance as characters Jon Snow and Ygritte, the couple took their relationship off-screen in 2012.

Speaking about their rumoured engagement, a source told The Sun: "They're yet to set a date, but told friends and family last week that they've got engaged."

"Kit's known for ages he's wanted to marry Rose but he wanted them to get a house and settle down a bit first."

"After moving in together in January he felt it was the right time to take the next step," the source added.

The news come after the couple denied engagement rumours in July this year, when a rep quit clearly told Metro.co.uk “They are not engaged.”

Speaking about his relationship with Rose at the season seven premiere for Game Of Thrones Kit said:

“I think that's the really special thing about it is that we met on this show and here we are seven years down the line back here promoting season seven.”

“I mean it's mad. It's such a special thing. I'm so privileged,” he added.

And while these guys are obviously super in love and deserve all the happiness in the world (blah, blah, blah), there's a little part of us that is completely devastated.

Look, there's no doubting that engagement rings are a pricey business.

But much more important than their cost price is their sentimental value, as anyone who has placed a diamond on the ring finger of their left hand will attest.

So, when Amazon worker, Tatiana Fernandez, realised she had misplaced her's during a recent work shift, she was understandably devastated.

Despite enlisting the help of her colleagues and fiancé, Stuart, at the packing process in Scotland, the newly-engaged woman was unable to find the ring, and eventually had to admit defeat, and accept she was unlikely to see it again.

Until it turned up in the home of Stephanie Healiss 200 miles away, that is.

According to The Independent, Stephanie was taken aback to find the ring in a package of books she ordered from the international retailer, and was determined to reunite the jewellery with its owner.

"I was surprised, yes. I could tell the ring had a great deal of sentimental value and know from my own experience that things like that cannot be replaced," she said.

"That's when we decided to contact Amazon. I am so pleased it's been returned safely and wish Tatiana and Stuart all the very best for their wedding day," Stephanie added.

Tatiana could not be more grateful, saying: "When I realised I'd lost my engagement ring, I went through a range of emotions, from sadness to anger at myself for losing it. I honestly thought it had gone forever."

"When our leadership team got in touch to say a customer found it in their package, I couldn't believe my luck. It's such a relief to get my ring back and I'd like to say a heartfelt thank you to our kind customer for returning the ring to me."

And that, ladies, is your heartwarming tale for today.

There's little we love more in this life than salivating over engagement rings, so props to Miles Teller who gave us ample opportunity to do so when he proposed to girlfriend Keleigh Sperry in recent days.

The Whiplash star got down on one knee while on safari with Keleigh at the weekend, and this ring has to be seen to be believed.

Celebrating her sister's engagement, Christie Sperry York uploaded a selection of photos documenting the big moment, and we're struggling to take our eyes off this piece of jewellery.

"These two got engaged while on an African Safari over the weekend!" Christie announced in a post which has been liked hundreds of times so far.

Sorry folks, Robert Pattinson is officially off the market – well, sort of.

During an interview with a US radio station, the British actor revealed he is “kind of” engaged to singer, FKA Twigs.

The couple have dated for the past three years, however they have always been keen to keep their relationship out of the public eye.

Having previously been in a very public relationship with Twilight co-star, Kristen Stewart, that actor said that while he tries to keep his life private, there are times when he'd like to share more with his fans.

"It's one of the most frustrating things in the world," he explained.

"Because you want to be able to do that [be more open], but it's literally like, to kind of get stuck in this position you have to make this decision whether you want to let the crazy people in."

Robert and Twigs, real name Tahliah Debrett Barnett, were first pictured together back in 2014 and rumours of their engagement have been rampant ever since.

The 31-year-old described Twigs as “amazing” and “super talented” and said they made the decision to stay out of the spotlight because of a “crack troupe of crazies”.

So, while the couple may not want their romance splashed across the front pages, congratulations are still in order – well, kind of.

London was awash with colour and love last weekend as crowds took to the streets of the capital city to celebrate the annual Pride festival.

While onlookers enjoyed all the sights and sounds the parade had to offer, one couple used the setting as the background for one of the most special moments of their lives.

In a video that has since gone viral, we see a woman propose to her girlfriend, who just so happens to be an on-duty police officer – and it's by far the sweetest thing you'll see this week.

Of course, she said yes, and their engagement was met with cheers of joy from the crowd.

The women remain unnamed, however the British Transport Police did share footage of the special moment on Twitter.

According to The Sun, the pair have been together for five years and live together in London.

Shortly after the footage was posted online, the couple were flooded with congratulations from members of the public and other police forces alike.

We can't help but be reminded of a similar proposal which took place at last year's London Pride parade when police officer,  Phil Adlem, momentarily stopped marching in order proposed to his unsuspecting boyfriend who was watching from the side.

Congratulation all around!

"When we got to the lookout point, Ryan set down my camera bag and turned to face me. I knew in that moment what was about to happen as he was paying no attention to the stunning view of the bridge. He started to get a little choked up and I was too. We stood there and cried tears of joy as he talked about all of our "firsts" – from the first day we met, to the fist time we took a trip together (it was to San Francisco exactly two years before). He then said he also loved the day we decided to spend forever together and when I asked "when was that", he responded with "today" and then got down on one knee. Right when I said yes, I heard a crowd of people cheering and I thought "Wow! That is such a nice group of strangers!" But as the group of people approached, I started to recognize faces and soon realized my parents were there, along with Ryan's parents, my sister and her husband, and many of our dear friends. 19 of our closest friends and family had flown in from Texas, Oklahoma, and New York to celebrate with us, and it was the best moment of my life." by @whitneyjustesenphoto Tag your 19 favorites that *need* to be at your proposal too

3. For the love of…

4. There's an actual PUPPY

5. And we're done.

"A few months after meeting Spencer, things took a turn for the worse. My dad had been living with cancer for five years at that point, and in October, the doctors told us there was nothing else they could do. I felt like my life was over – I couldn't even begin to imagine life without him. I told Spencer he didn't have to stick around as we'd only been dating for four months, but he stood by my side and cared for me and my dad through the worst moments of our lives. My dad ended up loving Spencer and I knew he wanted to see him become a part of the family. I also knew he wanted to see us engaged before he passed, but I didn't want to ask anything more of Spencer. When the doctors told us how much time he had, my dad said he wanted to take one last trip together. He picked Disneyland and so of course, when were were there, we went in front of the castle and took tons of family photos. At the end of the pictures, in front of everyone, Spencer grabbed my hands and turned me to face him. I went numb. I knew what was coming, and I could not believe he was making my (and my dad's) dream come true… The next day, we made the long drive home back to Oregon, and that morning, as unexpected as anything, my daddy passed on into heaven…" You actually need to read and watch the whole story (we summarized it, and there's a video). The engagement ring has barely been placed on your finger, and you're already being forced to consider neighbourhood politics, your mother's desire to invite relatives you've never met and your granny's reaction to a Humanist ceremony.

Congratulations, you've just gotten engaged in Ireland.

Tapping into the drama that generally accompanies an engagement announcement around these parts, Foil Arms and Hog have uploaded a video that, if we're honest, reads like a transcript of every post-engagement conversation that has ever taken place in our homes.

We're going to let the lads do the talking on this one…
